I wish I would have read the negative reviews regarding the companys returns. I ordered over $500 worth of parts from them. When I placed the order I gave them a serial number to go with the engine that I am working on. The parts that I received were not the right ones and did not fit my engine. I emailed them with photos of the new parts compared with the old ones to show the size difference and never received a response even though they claimed that they answered me. When I called to follow up I spoke with the same person that took my order & he told me that they were the right parts based on the serial number that I provided & he didnt know why they did not fit. Fast forward a week later with no resolution in sight I called again & I was told by a different employee that the serial # does not even match the engine that I am working on! When I got the original person that I ordered from back on the phone he told me that the serial # was correct. He asked me if I wanted an RMA. When I said yes please, he asked if I had installed the parts. I told him no, we only dry fitted them (which obviously did not work because they were the wrong size). He then told me that they are not able to resell the parts & therefore would not issue an RMA. I argued and told him that the parts are in new condition with the original packaging but he refused to work with me. I even offered to pay shipping & restocking fees but he refused to make any effort to help me. When I told him that I was more disgusted with the customer service and it wasnt even a a matter of money he said and I quote YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS I will now be putting a stop on the charge through my bank. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! IF YOU NEED TO RETURN ANYTHING THEY WILL BEAT YOU! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! NASTY PEOPLE! VERY UNPROFFESIONAL!

I contacted Diesel Parts pr email as it was not possible to get hold of parts to my Yanmar engine in Norway. Within hours I received a positive answer to my request: I placed my order Tuesday at 3 pm and Thursday morning the parts were in Norway. Í am very impressed with the speed and service from Diesel Parts Direct and FedEx priority. My workshop in Norway estimated minimum 14 days and up to 90 days delivery time through their channels. DPD is strongly recommended.

Ordered some parts online on Friday to be overnight shipped. Website says Fast. Reliable. Accurate. Direct Customer Service. Got a call on Tuesday that the parts werent in stock and it would be weeks if they could even get them. No mention of delay on website. No call on Monday to let me know my order wasnt coming even though I paid for overnight shipping indicating urgent need. I just wouldve liked some indication that the parts werent available on the website or at least a call first thing Monday to let me know I need to make other arrangements instead of waiting until Tuesday. Weeks and weeks to get parts. Bad communication. They dont answer calls or reply to emails. Returns?? Forget it. Im still waiting for the refund months later. Just called for it again. Call was transferred to a dead end without any warning.**Update: Spoke to management who apologized. Refund processed. There seems to be a gap in the in their processes but I should have asked for a manager sooner. Parts did end up coming from Japan but no one told me until I called, both times, to check on my orders. Might not be the norm, but this was my experience.
