I worked for this company for an entire week before the guy I was working with and riding along with to work each day was fired for breaking the touchscreen on one of the rail saws. I still have not been compensated a penny for the work that I did. Nothing! Its been verified that I worked but nothing in exchange. I even offered to scratch what I was owed in exchange for the opportunity to continue working for the company and I was told they just hired someone. Completely unethical and outright illegal. Currently checking into legal options. We are talking about 40 hrs at 10 bucks an hr. Thats not large sum of money to be given such a hard time about getting paid.
I would consider this a one stop shop with all the options. I went in for the stone and they offered to install the countertops, sink, backsplash, plumbing, faucet, and other stuff.Walked in with kitchen dimentions and walked out with a rough quote, nice and quick. They were very helpful with selecting the type of stone and tile. They work with multiple local stone distributors to provide endless options, I went with Select Stone who I also recommend. Once I selected the slab I wanted they came out that day and verified the measurements and set up the install. It did take several weeks before installed but I was not in a rush. The installers were clean and considerate of my new cabinets and floors. The seam came out more noticeable than I thought it would but it is at the sink so its not that bad. They were efficient and asked questions to make sure it was just the way I wanted it.All around good communication, great prices, great work, and a great product!
I was hesitant to use this company because of the previous reviews. However, I had a very nice experience. Raghad, the office administrator and who handles the orders, was very helpful, patient and responsive when I contacted her. The quartzite that they put in was gorgeous as well as the backsplash . I highly recommend that you ask for David to be your fabricator and installer. He was very thorough and a perfectionist. My only caveat is that be prepared as the install date was a guestimate rather than actual. It was only a week or so late but just be flexible on your install date. I found the prices to be excellent!
We did not have a good experience at this business. They do not have a handle on their orders and do not have service capabilities after orders are placed. They also do not apologize when they make mistakes – they tell you that you really didn’t want what you ordered. The actual installation was fine. They dealt with problems in a professional manner.We selected a stone slab at a local store and placed it on hold for this business to purchase it and fabricate countertops in accordance with our contractor’s schedule. Ten days after that we received a call from the store asking if we still wanted it because it had not been picked up (or paid for). Contractor was called and asked this fabricator to get the slab. When fabrication was scheduled (7 days later) fabricator informed us slab was on hold for someone else because they had not paid for it. We were told to pick out another slab.When fabricated countertops arrived on site, edges were not the requested bullnose edge. When we called the fabricator, we were told “bull-nose edges are out. No one does those anymore.”
I called to make an appointment to have my granite sealed. Lady gave me her cell number to text a picture of the granite and said she will text me back to give me an appointment time. The next day, after many attempts, I finally spoke to her. Appointment set for Saturday morning at 8 AM. I got up early and was ready. No one showed up. I texted the lady about 8:45 AM. She finally texted back about 45 minutes later and said no one is going to be able to come today. They are really busy installing. Well thanks for wasting my Saturday morning. I should have read the reviews prior to contracting them. I am sure their positive reviews are from friends, family and employees. Only reason for one star is because Google would not let me give them ZERO.
They did my house several years ago and did a jam up job. I bought some flooded Houses and got them to do two of them its been 3 months and they are still not done. Keep getting the run around and every time you call to talk to randy hes always in the back but before i could talk to him every time i called. Very unprofessional and will not make the mistake again to use them and would recommend that no one else does either. Maybe this will get them to finish i dont know what else to do!!!
WARNING: VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! HORRIBLE TO WORK WITH! My job is a bathroom vanity. Not a big job. I was originally told that they would install the vanity on Thursday or Friday. When I called Friday to make sure they were still coming, they said they would call 30 min ahead. Never heard from them. I called that afternoon and left a message. Never heard back. Saturday I called and spoke to a lady. She said she would have Randy call me back. Never heard from him. Went to their shop Monday morning and was told that my job was on their To Do List and they would call 30 min ahead. Never heard from them. So, I called them that afternoon and was told their guys would be mad if they had to install that day, because they couldnt get to it until 3:30pm. Set appointment for the following morning between 8 - 8:15am. Never showed up. Called and was told, in a very snide manner, that it was raining that day. I was told that they couldnt install in the rain and was spoken to like duhh. Argued with Randy for a bit over that. He was not the least bit concerned with my inconvenience and was exceptionally rude and condescending. He is supposed to be the boss...but, kept saying Ill have to talk to the guys and see what they want to do. Never would commit to a day and time to install my job. Save yourself the headache and use another company. Oh...one more thing...I paid in full up front. Big mistake!!!
Wish there was a NO STAR rating. Hands down the most unprofessional, dishonest business in Baton Rouge. They lie, they lie, they lie - all while looking you straight in the eye. I bought some marble five months ago to redo a kitchen counter and they have yet to show up. They came out and measured and told me it would be a couple of weeks. After calling and nobody answering the phone, going by there and having office staff say that they would call me tomorrow to set up the installation, leaving voicemails that are NEVER returned. The owner Randy Jenkins is a freaky scary guy who was yelling at the top of his voice at another customer the last time I was there. Apparently he was not happy because this guy was trying to get an install date too. This is one company that deserves all of the negative publicity that it gets and should not be in business. I still dont have my marble installed and frankly if I ask for my money back, I doubt seriously that I would get it. I may just chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned. The irony in taking time to do this review is that I would put money on it that Mr. Randy Jenkins would never care enough to even read customer reviews. STAY AWAY.

WARNING: Do NOT use R.J. Jenkins!! They are extremely unprofessional..will take your money and run. In my experience, I made the mistake of paying a day before the last part of my back splash installation and Ive never seen them again. I have called everyday to try to get someone to finish the project and the owner yelled at me as if I was inconveniencing him and then hung up on me. This company is an absolute nightmare!
Thief! Charged flood victim $2600 to remove and reinstall granite. Lies each time when we try to get the granite reinstalled. Refuses to give a date and says to bring a trailer to pick up the granite, to basically say he wont do it. Dont ever use this place. There are way too many options out there.
Was with my coworkers on a job. I was gonna ask Randy aka the boss to use the bathroom til said he you cant be here and go with your co-worker.
Worst granite company in BR. Go ANYWHERE ELSE. 4 weeks of Well be there by 12 today, and never showing up or answering the phone for days on end. Will never do business with RJ again.
