Good retail selection. Helpful Store Staff. Orvis Fly Fishing instruction was excellent, but Site fishing is the guide’s only game. Maybe add more versatility and adaptability due to weather conditions. Fly fisherman travel great distances and at great expense, so cutting day trips short, due to “less than ideal” conditions, can be disappointing.

I just purchased a beautiful new pair of Dubarry boots. I called ahead and the staff was kind enough to set aside to sizes for me to try. They were incredibly patient while I tried on both with varying sizes of socks. They were even thoughtful enough to price match what the designer normally sells them for online. Overall the shop is stocked with high-quality merchandise which lucky for me was not only outdoor but also equestrian friendly.

Being as it is in the tourist part of downtown you might not think of it as a serious tackle shop. Well it is. They really have a great line up of fly fishing equipment, and their prices on flys arent bad. Ya they have a lot of fancy yeti stuff, and expensive outdoor clothing, but its a real inshore fly fishing shop in the back. Im just glad we have a resource like this in town.

Love shopping here. Have 3 dresses that I have purchased this year. Very comfortable clothing (mainly outdoors wear, like for boating and fishing) but the womens dresses are super cute. Sales staff are nice and friendly. They do have 2 dressing rooms, so dont be scared to try something on.

Bay Street Outfitters is a top notch operation. I spent a half day trip with Capt. Tuck Scott chasing redfish and cobia on the fly. Tuck knows the water and knows the fish - a truly professional guide. I highly recommend Bay Street Outfitters!

We were very please with the service at Bay Street Outfitters. I purchased an Orvis Fedora hat which I love. The lady suggested a nice mild inexpensive Macanudo Cigar which was excellent. Much to my surprise. Thank you....

I fished with Captain Richard Thursday, May 30. We were unable to start until 10 am as my future son-in-law had to go to town to get his marriage license. We fished 6 1/2 hours without a bite. Tough day. We had good tidal movement but also had fairly strong SE winds. My brother fished with Captain Richard Saturday, June 1. He reported catching 1 small trout.Captain Richard is a good guy with a nice 18 ft. Hewes boat. I dont know if our trips were the norm or an aberration. We spent most of the day fishing around Daws and Paris Islands. My son and brother fished with another guide out of Savannah on Friday, May 31 near Tybee Island and caught 6 nice reds with shots at several others.
