Finding a good car recently had proved to be extremely difficult, until I walked onto this lot! They have way more selection than most dealerships and the staff was friendly and patient. Go see Mark Britt at the Honda dealership if you are interested in a car at any of the lots! He was very knowledgeable and let me take my time looking at cars. He was not pushy and spent a lot of time making sure I had a vehicle I love. There was a crack in the windshield and even though the car was marked as is, he made sure to get it replaced for me. He even brought my dad some snacks during the signing process because his sugar was getting low. He seems to really care about the customer and it shows!

If I could give ZERO stars to this dealership, I most definitely would do so. I have never experienced such unprofessional individuals in my entire existence. I have made several attempts to speak to the Service Manager in regards to services that were not completed on my vehicle and getting a rental reserved. I had the rental plan added to my deal as I was purchasing my car. I have called and left at least 3 voice messages and have yet to hear back from their service manager. On yesterday, I get a mysterious charge to my account from Enterprise and low and behold, Mike Smith Honda has not fulfilled their agreement with them from a previous rental. So they decided to charge my account the remaining balance that they are owed. I spoke to a “Manager” yesterday about these issues and he was very unapologetic for any of my concerns until I let him know that i will get my Attorneys involved if my issues and concerns were not addresses. Here we are another day has passed and I still have not been contacted from any person at Mike Smith. This is beyond ridiculous and will NEVER recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle or get service from them.

We had an amazing experience with Mike Smiths Honda. We arrived right as they opened and Carlous met us at the door. When I told her what I was looking for, she was concerned, because a Honda HR-V is one of the most difficult to find. She went to the manager and they searched the inventory, and were able to find what I was looking for. I couldnt have asked for a more knowledgeable salesperson. Worst Honda service department in Beaumont. They are extremely slow and lacking in knowledge and idk how they got their review rating back up to 4.6 when it was a 3.1 a month ago something to ponder on? In my opinion they dont know what they are talking about. They tried to charge me 4k dollars and still couldnt find the problem. Dont be fooled by this money guzzling company. The owner is a clown just out to take every cent you got they dont care about their customers.

The work was done well, but communication was lacking. After promising that my car could not be looked at by a technician for three hours, we accepted that. But, at 4 1/2 hours I finally went up to see what was going on. Suddenly, the tech appeared and told me what was going. A bit coincidental for me. We were told the problem and the cure, as it were. Since we were traveling through town we were reliant upon their good graces. Since the repair could not be completed before 5, we had to find a hotel.The next morning I texted 4 times asking for an update. There was no response. Finally I called and was told: 1) the tech who worked on it was not in today; 2) they didn’t know when it would be ready. After some conversation, the person on the phone checked and suddenly the car would be ready in one hour. So we returned and it was ready. We checked out quickly, cancelled the rest of our trip and drove home.The brightest spot was Russell the shuttle driver. He was polite, helpful and a real gentleman. Thank you for having him on your staff.The least likable thing was communicating with us. Had we not followed up aggressively, we don’t think we would have ever heard what was going on. After 4 1/2 hours we got a response, but I had to press for it. The next morning none of my texts were answered. I had to call and put the person who answered on the spot to find out what was going on. To me, that is not good client/customer care.

I made an appointment for an oil change at this dealership for 12:45 and my wife arrived at 12:30 and the receptionist told her that it would be a few minutes because they were behind a little bit….. well at 4:00 they finished the service on the car!!! I’m leaving 2 stars because they did take care of a recall while it was there, but it was almost 3 before they even started on the service! I understand that the dealerships get behind sometimes, that thing is unpredictable, I get that,but for a simple oil change not acceptable, that’s the whole reason for making the appointment, will do my best to find another place to take the car for simple service, the work they did was good but the time wasted wasn’t

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review, but I was not called after my services were complete. I found out my car was ready when I got dropped an hour after it was already finished being serviced. When I arrived, the lady helping me was eating while checking me out and they were not very professional during the process of returning my vehicle.Also, I was not made aware during my scheduling process that reserving a time does not guarantee that slot. I don’t mind a wait, but please let people know that reserving a time slot just guarantees you a service representative and to be able to drop off your vehicle.

All the associates are awesome! The techs and mechanics work hard and effectively. It does feel like it takes some time if you’re waiting at the dealership to have your vehicle serviced with maintenance, but I think it’s time positively spent on making sure their customers are satisfied and requests are met or exceeded. Love all they do for me as a Honda Customer.

Love the sales side, its service I have a problem with. I have purchased 3 vehicles from them and very pleased with sales/finance department. Service not so much, tired of getting a run around on my vehicle. This was NOT the first time Ive had issues. Shareese (not sure on spelling) was polite and tried to help best she could....thank you!! Had my car at the appointed time of 7:30am on a Friday was told Id receive a call - did not. I called to check status was told they hadnt gotten to it yet. Kept my car overnight, was told they would call with follow up - AGAIN no call. I was told they need to keep it longer because there were cars there before mine awaiting parts that had come in so they will get to it. Then was told it would be Monday...I could leave it there or bring it back in....not possible I need my car to get to work. My husband called they spoke with him informed him we have HondaCare so a rental would be possible and someone would be calling him. Its now Thursday and no call, I called inquiring. Shareese transferred me to service manager...was on hold 10 minutes to inform me that she would leave a message for her to return my call. No returned call from said service manager but I did get a call from Shareese to explain rental car situation. Hours later service manager called said she had a message to return my call to which I explained I had already received the call explaining nation wide rental car situation....she then said snidely, no the fact that I did not leave my car there long enough for diagnostics to be ran. So from 7:30am on Friday morning until noon Saturday was not enough time to run diagnostics?? No worries taking business elsewhere. What a shame that one person can cause you to lose a repeat customer.

I arrived at 8:30 for an appointment to get a transmission flush. I went to check on things after 4 hours luckily my car pulled up. I appreciate the fact that I was given a credit because no one “remembered” I was waiting but this has not been the first time service was off. We have gotten maintenance and had an impact drill left on our engine, brought a washed car in to be poorly rewashed & there is a bolt missing on my motor since there was recommended work that needed to be done. I feel 100% secure in getting maintenance done by the dealership I bought my vehicle but due to service and cost I often have to find other shops that will take care of problems to which my patience may not last with mike smith.

I bought a 2019 honda civic from Mike Smith in March by July my car was having problems starting. I made appointment to have it looked at, explained to them what was happening with my car and brought it in. Somer was awful at keeping me up to date on what was happening. Trying to call this place in general is a joke and no one will ever call you back. Fast forward to three days later, Somer finally calls to let me know my dome light was on, and that was the problem. So I took them at there word and went and got my car. Two days later it begins again, I refused to bring it back to Mike Smith due to customer service and them not looking further into the problem. I then turned and took it to Twin City Honda, very exceptional customer service and come to find out my starter was going out. I will NEVER use Mike Smith again.

I understand being backed up a few hours, but when I called to check on it the next day I was told they were so backed up that my car wouldnt be looked at until the following week. This service facility is not a good place for any who care seriously about their Honda . Went in for just a routine oil change. Took over 2 hrs. I think they were more interested in trying to find additional sales opportunities for services on my vehicle, they failed to to take care of the business they were entrusted with in the oil change. When I left the facility, two days later I noticed a hugh oil puddle in my drive way, never present before. I looked under vehicle and saw oil all over filter that was supposedly changed. Thinking it may not have been tightened, I took it back. They said they replaced filter again . Left and noticed it was still leaking very greatly around filter. Took it back, they now started saying it was coming from area above filter. When it can in there were no oil leaks, because I closely monitor engine for leaks, it was dry so we my drive way. The Service Manager was more concerned about trying to clear himself of all responsibility, rather than assist me on why this was now happening. I was forced to seek other professional mechanical opinion. The service department in my experience, poorly represent this great product. I am completely shocked and disappointed that there is not some quality assurance process in place on the dealership level or factory authorization level for this shop. Never, never, again!

So I had a appointment at 9:45 got there at 9:15 bc I was already in the area.Thought being there early would help get me out faster, but that wasnt the case. I was there to way after 11 am and 4 ppl. That came in after me got done before me.A oil change only takes 30 to 40 min and I was at honda for over 2 hrs. With my 6 yr old grandson. Not a easy to keep him entertained for 2 hrs.I didnt ask the the multi point inspection I just wanted a simple oil change.Maybe you should listen to what the customer says before you do what you want.Thank you and have a great day

Best experience ever at Mike Smith Honda because of our salesperson Carlous Rayburn! She got exactly the vehicle we wanted, extremely quickly, even with the current clog we are experiencing in the US due to the “covid” issues and not being able to get much of anything electronic. She hunted down our AMAZING Honda Pilot Special Edition 2021! She even came to work on her day off because it was convenient for US! She’s definitely a genuine people person. The finance guy was also awesome! No numbers were out of place, we knew exactly what we were paying and there were no “surprise” numbers added at the end! That’s unheard of these days, and we never felt any pressure like those other dealers who try to hard sell the moment they spot you on the lot. We will continue to buy vehicles and send all of our friends to Carlous at Mike Smith Honda! Our new special edition Pilot is a cream puff! It’s a pleasure to drive! The features are incredible and the LKAS is wonderful! Wow. Too many features to list and brag about lol. You’ve got to go see Carlous and get your own cream puff!

Scheduling was easy, customer service upon arrival was immediate, communication via text was clear and easy. Only downside was that I dont look at my phone often, so I didnt realize I had gotten a text 40 minutes prior that required my response. That caused a little delay, but not much. Checkout was easy and actually more cost efficient than my local Honda dealership. I drove 45 minutes to have my car serviced. It was worth the drive. Sommer was excellent!

I have gone to this dealer for years. First bad experience was when I requested to do an oil change and they put zip tags instead of the screws that go in the splash guard cover under the vehicle. Second bad experience was with their specials, you can not request several services if they are all in specials; I understand about not using more than one coupon but, specials they choose to offer by email or in their website? That makes no sense to me since. Third and last bad experience was that I had an appointment for 8.30am, the service supposed to last between 1 or 1 1/2 hours. By 12.30pm I called to ask for the status, I was told that they were barely going to start with the service and it would take 1 or 1 1/2 hours..... WTH!!! Nope, there will be no next time.

Absolutely horrible customer service! I purchased a brand new vehicle and within 6 months it has an oil leak.Made an appointment by calling Mike Smith Honda directly, to get it fixed, was told I could wait while it got fixed, went in for the appointment, and the service person was very rude and told me I didn’t make the appointment the right way and I’d have to come back another day.I got in touch with the manager who explained to me that I would need to drop my car off, but assured me I could pick it back up later that day. Made the appointment, waited 2 weeks for the appointment, and went in and was told they wouldn’t be able to let me know what was wrong with the car until the next work day. Sine the appointment was on a Saturday this meant they wouldn’t know what was even wrong with my vehicle until Monday!Brand new vehicle that had a factory problem and I was being told I would be left without a vehicle for an unknown number of days. They offered a rental that would be at my expense. I didn’t spend the money on a brand new vehicle to expect to have to pay for a rental within the first year due to factory issues with the car!!The inability of this service facility to listen to their customers, or even care about the customer who had JUST purchased the car from their dealership is astonishing! I will NEVER purchase a car from this dealership again! They got their money from me for the brand new vehicle and then left me out to dry when it started having problems!! Horrible company!

DO NOT EXPECT WARRANTY TO WORK WITH MIKE SMITH!!! Got a battery from Mike Smith Honda dated 9/2019 and my Honda minivan was not starting without a jump today. So I tested the volts when it was jumped and measured 14V but once the car was turned off it was 9.6V. I thought battery was bad so brought it in and first quick test showed less than 100 CCA and the tech said it was good. I disagreed and asked for more thorough test at 2:15 PM. By 4:15 the test was still not done and the other tech said it was clearly a bad battery but they were not authorized to honor warranty unless machine finished with a failure. Because they were closing the shop at 5 PM, they asked me to come back tomorrow to do the test again for 2.5 hours... so they want 5 hours of my time just to honor an obvious warranty issue. All of this for an obviously bad battery. AVOID MIKE SMITH AUTO!

My husband and I took our car in to have the AC looked at. I made sure to make an appointment beforehand so that we could be seen at a resonable time. We only had a week before we had to leave for CT and so we changed our plans to accommodate the appointment and extra time that might be needed to fix the issue since driving with an AC in TX heat is terrible.When we got there we were told that unfortunaly they would not be able to see the car and diagnose it until the following morning since they were backed up and it was 3pm, we expected as much so we were okay with that since many service centers are often running a few hours behind. We were told we would get an update no later than noon the following day and we left satisfied.Noon came and went the following day and no call came. I finally called them for an updated and at first they could not find our car, then the person on the phone told me that they were so backed up that our car would not be seen for another week or two. To say I was livid is an understatement, but I kept my cool and just said I would pick it up. No apology or explanation on why they mislead us was offered. When we picked up the car no apology was given eithereither.They could have been upfront from the beginning and we would still be on good terms, but now we will never return and family and friends have been warned. Those two wasted days the car sat in their lot meant that there wasnt enough time for other shops to guarentee the car would be fixed before our departure.

I give 5 stars for their professionalism, courtesy and keeping me updated when my truck was in for service. BUT I give 1 star for having to pay to have the transmission tweaked and fluids flushed when my 2019 Honda Ridgeline was running rough. I personally feel that should have been covered under warranty and not charged $298. The reason I bought a Honda was for its known durability and sustainability......😒 Ive had the Honda less than 2 years.

I was very pleased with my service. I had not purchased a car since 2003, so I did not know the function of a new vehicle. Anthony was exceptional in his assistance. I would recommend Mike Smith Honda to anyone. They also brought the car from Beaumont to Lafayette so that I could see the car. I did not know that was something that could be done. My only disappointment was that no one paid the car in full for me. LOL🤣

Taken my car 3 occasions to check the squeaking brakes still squeak. Tpms light was on said I needed another tire it was punctured beyond repair even though I rode on it 3 days and out of town with no problem. Purchased the tire left 15 minutes the light was back on had to go back and now it’s off. At this point I think the punctured tire was a LIE for a sale. Purchased this car netting new 7 miles from Mike smith but I will NOT be a returning customer. Service Dept needs work

We took my husbands car in for a major service repair, which included a transmission fluid valve repair on Saturday (5/15/21). After driving our car home, we found the car was leaking a pink oil substance. Unfortunately, it was after hours so we waited to call on Sunday (5/16/21). We found out the dealership was closed on Sunday, so I called Monday (5/17/21) morning 5 times and left voicemails with the service department. After 2 hours of waiting, with no call back I decided to come into the dealership to speak to someone.I spoke to Sommer, the service advisor, about my concerns. She checked in the car to get serviced. I gave her my phone number to call for updates.5 hours later, another service advisor calls my husbands phone number and says there is nothing wrong with the car and its ready for pick up. My husband then proceeds to ask questions, to which the service advisor tells him, I dont know, you need to talk to Sommer, your service Advisor.My husband and I came to the dealership and asked if they did a thorough check on the transmission fluid valve. Sommer replied, the mechanic checked thoroughly. So we drove the car home.5/19/21 When we pulled into our driveway we found that the leak was still there. We recorded videos and took photos of the leak for proof. I called the service department again and FINALLY spoke to a manager. He advised to bring the car in. 4 Hours later, I got a call, from Sommer the Service Advisor, stating that the transmission fluid valve was faulty. They ordered the new part and plan to replace it tomorrow (5/20/21). Now, I dont have a car. According to Sommer, they could not order a rental car because Enterprise did not have any available cars. Im currently waiting for Dale to call me back for other rental options. Once again, I left a voicemail and am waiting for a return call back.1. This was the second time (5/19/21) I brought the car in for the SAME PROBLEM. If I didnt have proof of the leak, the car would not have been looked at thoroughly.2. Clearly the mechanic DID NOT thoroughly look at the issue that I stated in the initial visit on 5/17/21.3. I never got a hold of someone on the phone, except ONCE- the morning of 5/19/21. Leaving voicemails means nothing to this dealership.4. Getting a hold of someone in the service department is nearly impossible, even if you have the direct line to the service advisor and leave a voicemail- they dont call you back.5. If I have to bring my car in 2 times for the SAME PROBLEM, after a major service, then getting a rental car should not be MY PROBLEM. The dealership should have available cars to loan out or have multiple rental car agreements with different providers.

Just ended dealing with Mike Smith after long history of four vehicle purchases. When I purchased a new battery two years ago was told that they are so short staffed that even with an appointment the wait would be three or four hours. Spoke with General Manager and they were able to replace within a reasonable amount of time.Well today that battery failed. Got a jump and drove it in after making appointment. Same story as last time. Would be three or four hour wait.Had loved Mike Smith until poor service experience two years ago and again today. Not to mention fact that their battery died after only two years.Will not subject my self to such poorly managed dealership. Left and bought battery elsewhere.Plan was to buy new vehicle there in a few months. NEVER AGAIN. Why would I and have to experience this type service.Will never darken their door again. DisappointedDoubt this will be posted Just know what to expect if you buy vehicle here.

My experience at Mike Smith Honda was one I will always remember. They have some of the best representatives in the business with quick service, bright smiles, and great deals. I may not be a Honda guy but the Mustang I got from here is amazing and they made sure it was exactly what I was looking for.

Love the customer service. Mr. Renfore is funny and down to earth. I would have gave the place 5 stars but no one could help me with the “HONDA” updates required for my vehicle. I was given the suggestion to use personal Wi-Fi to do what was needed on my car. Why would I struggle to do this at home(as I tried before and it didn’t work so that’s why I asked the dealership) when the dealership is supposed to be equipped to service all needs of the vehicles they sale. I give customer service 5 stars, overall a 4 due to lack of ability to update car systems.

Been using Mike Smith Honda for 5 years and counting even after moving out of town. Customer service is top notch and excellent standard of work. Thoroughly recommend. Whilst I have the chance, big shout out to the amazing Rick Straub!
