I went into the store hopeless with Apple never being able to help and my phone company being clueless. They started by educating me on what they thought the problem could be and I said whatever you can do, it’ll be better than where we are right now. Ended up just needing the charging port on my phone cleaned sounds silly but I am not an IT guy by any means and going to multiple other stores that are supposed to be reputable companies and not getting anything in return but A wait time. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes I highly recommend anyone for any of their phone needs to give them a chance they are knowledgeable at what they do and very honest about what they do.

My phone stopped working and wouldn’t turn on despite attempting to charge it all day. Brought my phone in for diagnostic. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. They fixed my phone for an extremely reasonable price within 90 min and saved me the cost of buying a new phone. They even replaced my screen protector, which was unexpected and a nice touch! Very happy with my service. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my friends/family members.

I have NO idea how Gem City Digital is so highly rated (which was the reason why we tried them).1. They almost never answer the phone and their voicemail is full and I’m disabled so I can’t just pop in every time I want to talk.2. I dropped off my laptop for a battery replacement and they had to order it (which is weird cause it’s a super common battery), they said 3-5 business days.3. I called three AND five days later, during hours, and they refused to pick up the phone.4. SIX business days later and I call back asking what the hell… turns out they CANCELLED the battery order, DIDN’T tell us, and weren’t ever GOING to.5. They said they’d order it again and have it done next day, and because of the delay my fiancé missed an INCREDIBLY important exam for school because he needed a laptop with a webcam (the school doesn’t provide them right now with COVID and libraries don’t have the camera).6. They tell us the battery is in stock now and to drop off the laptop, BUT IT WAS ALREADY THERE WITH THEM! WE HAD DROPPED IT OFF A WEEK AGO!7. We finally pick it up and upon two seconds of inspection only TWO SCREWS were put back in.8. We bring it home and guess what, the laptop battery is already having (different) issues!Literally the worst and least professional place out there.

They fixed the overheating on my ps4. unfortunately when I picked it back up they had forgotten to to plug in the Bluetooth antenna back in kind of a bummer but it happens but what matters to me is they promptly fixed the issue quickly and no questions asked. Anytime we break a phone or computer, we take it here. Most recently, I dropped my laptop in the driveway, and I smashed the corner of the screen and part of the base. The screen was half detached from the computer. I thought I would need a new laptop, but they fixed it for just over $100. They truly are amazing! ❤️❤️❤️

They have definitely earned my trust. I will only go to them now for repairs on my devices. Some other guys will leave you wondering when your item will be repaired, but these people will text you and call you regularly with updates. I have such a wonderful peace of mind here than other places.

It was busy when I got there so there was a line and things were a bit hectic but overall, great service and communication. Unfortunately, my phone was not able to be fixed but it was not due to a lack of trying. They attempted to replace the screen several times and even took the time to have another technician look at it the next day to make sure. I expected to be charged for labor since they had taken time to evaluate the phone and attempted reairs, but it was completely free. They also did an excellent job communicating over email since I had no phone available. As a fringe benefit, I was able to get a cheap ($5) replacenent cord for my iPad and it works beautifully. Overall, I highly reommend Gem City Digital. I hope to never need their services again, but if I do, I will definitely go back.

Knowledgeable, helpful, and conveniently located.I only needed a minor task handled today, but while I waited in the comfortable lobby I observed several employees being friendly and efficient.If you go there, dont forget to bring your patience and understanding. These guys didnt break your stuff, and the manufacturers seem to be trying to make it hard fo them to fix it. Give them time to work. Its probably better than buying a new whatever it is.Also, there are fewer and fewer of these kinds of places out there, so dont be surprised if they look busy.

This place came recommended by two separate people so I checked it out.I had a couple of needs. I was looking for a used laptop with an idea of what I wanted. And the borrowed laptop Id been using developed an issue and I needed some advice.I was working with John and he was very willing to provide the information that served me. It wasnt about just making a sale.I was considering a laptop that was really over my price range but the only thing they had. Another employee told me it was a great computer. John let me know that it was Overkill if I wasnt going to be doing extensive design work period which Im not.Then he took time with me to go over different computers online to see which would best fill my needs.And on top of that he diagnosed and quickly fixed the issue my borrowed laptop was having.I left extremely happy and will definitely return to this business if I ever need a repair. Im buying a laptop elsewhere because they didnt have what I needed.

We generally use Apple products and have been to Gem City Digital to get help several times. Paul the owner and staff are caring and knowledgeable. I was waiting for my computer to be ready the last time I was there and I overheard one of the techs telling another customer that after checking their iPhone he had realized that they still have AppleCare and could have the repairs done at Apple for free. This is the old fashioned business motto that is not found as much as we like, and I commend them for it. I give them and A+ for customer service and their knowledge to computers, and highly recommend them.

These are some of the most helpful and friendly computer service providers in the Dayton, Ohio region! My computer system was brought to its knees by a conflict of interest between MacAfee Antivirus and Malwarebytes Antivirus, (And let me remind you that you do not have a choice of whether or not MacAfee is installed on a PC fresh out of the box, its a bundle with windows, which ought to be illegal...), and they were able to resurrect it from the brink of death in just three days! I am very happy with the way they handle my devices and those of my family and friends who Ive sent to see them; these guys are TOP-FLIGHT, and I wont work with anyone else.

I only wish I’d discovered this place earlier! My son cracked his iPhone screen and I unfortunately took it to a popular battery store for the repair. They required an appointment and, when I arrived, they didn’t have the screen in stock so it was a wasted trip. They had to order the screen and said it would take up to a week, but 2 weeks later they still didn’t have it – nor did any of their sister stores within a 100 mi radius! I finally looked up other options and discovered Gem City Digital. They quoted me nearly half the cost the battery store was going to charge, took the phone in as a walk-in, and gave me the option to choose a used screen in excellent condition for even lower cost. Despite being a busy Saturday, they were able to complete the repair in about 15 minutes while I waited. They also hooked my son up with a used Speck case to prevent future screen incidents, and they had some other accessories I needed at very reasonable prices. They definitely earned my repeat business and I highly recommend them for anyone in need of screen replacement.

They were fast and to the point, they said it would cost 50 if they figure out whats wrong and 0 if they couldnt. They found out it was my cpu but didnt know why it died so they only charged 30, unlike most repair shops I dont feel like there trying to scam me for more and even over hearing what they said to other customers I could tell they take customer service seriously. They dont do appointments, just walkins, which was not an issue for me at all - but were able to tell me on the call after a brief discussion of my issue that they had the part in store.They are fast, professional, friendly, honest and very reasonable with prices. I brought my Samsung phone to GCD in hopes of getting the charging port fixed. They were recommended by 2 other cell phone repair shops that merely didnt have the soldering tool needed for the repair. I must add that my cell phone had no other issues other than the charging port being broken. GCD had my phone for an hour and charged me 91$. Immediately after getting my phone back from them I noticed a problem. None of my apps were working. I couldnt make phone calls and when I was able to make calls the other person would either not be able to hear me or the call would just drop. The very next day I had someone else look at it. He said that when GCD opened it to repair it they damaged a wire in it that supports communication. I went back to GCD and waited an hour just for them to present the phone to me as if it were fixed and it most definitely was NOT. Which I had to demonstrate to them. I waited another 45 minutes just for them to come and tell me it was just my cellphone carrier or maybe an app I had installed. So they were basically guessing. I stated that the phone worked fine before and I would like it fixed or be given a refund. I waited another 45 minutes just for them to merely say heres your phone. They not only clearly did not know what they were doing but they had no remorse for damaging my phone and making me wait close to 3 hours for subsequently nothing. Though I did receive a refund there was no apology, concern or ownership for their part in my cellphone damage. I essentially had to buy a new phone.

Was me who said that just embarrassing when you asked me about it. For sure a little expensive I could go to someone who does it themselves and get it for about $40-$50 it’s just not very trustworthy because they aren’t an official business. Y’all have great service though very professional. It’s good to know for sure you will fix it without any problems and get it to me the next day. Also it’s great you pay when the repair is done.

Gem City saves the day! I had gotten the runaround with my iPhone from the Apple store and then Verizon and then AT&T (dont ask). Finally someone said to try this place. Whatever sorcery they did to transfer all my data was a lifesaver. Plus, the price was very (I mean very) reasonable. Ill be taking any software, phone, computer problems to them in the future.

I met him at the gym and he told me he had a phone store and go figure my phone screen was cracked the while we had our first conversation (he actually said something about it first. Something like I see your phone is cracked. Then he said are you planning on fixing it anywhere? ...Well I had apple care in the past but now i never get apple car because I know theres owners and businesses like these local. Great place to get any electronics fixed, or at least diagnosed. They are honest and fair, and will let you know if they cant fix it. Fast service, too and they can fix devices while you wait. I went to sell my iphone 6. They bought it for $20.... Okay fine, but the customer service was just not good the guy threw the $20 bill at me like he was upset that i didnt want to use iphone anymore. iphones are scams.I switched back to Android at MetroPcs and my life has been saved !! I took my desktop Im because it is freezing while running gaming applications. They had it for 3 days and said they couldnt find anything wrong. My computer is still freezing while running the applications, $30 wasted.

The staff are all wonderful. I walked in to have my screen repaired, and they were able to take care of it immediately. They also provide a 90 day warranty - my screen started acting up again and the guy was super nice and fixed it immediately again. He also extended my 90 day warranty and replaced my screen protector that I had broken free of charge! Amazing place.
