As a beginner to watercolor and a first time customer to this store I couldnt have been more pleased. They had all the items I needed, and finding them was easy thanks to two people who work there who offered their assistance. Friendly and knowledgeable help - just what I needed. Thank you!

So. Many. Choices. Could easel-y spend an hour here. I have bought from Blick online before, but now know there this location exists without dealing with Portland traffic and parking. Friendly employees and great selection (especially if the closest supply store starts with an M and ends with s).

Been coming here since it was Art Media. This Blick location lacks a lot of the high end artist materials but enough of the basics that are probably most frequently purchased that youre sure to find most of what you need. Its nice to have a location close enough to reach conveniently without having to go downtown as well. Staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful when trying to find something.

Sarah was so helpful and knowledgeable! I really appreciated her attention and expertise. I will definitely come back here for all my art supplies. This morning I spent $180 and I feel good about every purchase. Thank you Sarah!!

I got a last minute custom order. Blick had what I needed to get my project created, finished and sold. Whew! The only place local I know to buy canvas 6 by 8 foot, without waiting for it to be delivered. They have an awesome selection and helpful staff. Also some Super Fun books, posters and odd toys.

I was referred to this store I never knew existed by a Michaels employee. I was told the item I’m looking for would be there guaranteed. I never called to ask about availability & I decided to take the 30 minute commute and my experience was 100% pleasant, I was instantly greeted and asked if I needed assistance and was taken to the exact item I was in search of. For crafters like me, this store is everything. I ended up finding 4 other products I was going to purchase online because it was not available anywhere else I normally shop at! Thank you Blick and it’s awesome employees with great customer service! I will be back!!

I really liked this store. The employees were very nice and we bought painting supplies for my kid. So many varieties of paint!They also had a pretty neat looking pen section!

The mecca of art supplies. This place is amazing. I recently got into bookbinding and was amazed to find they have all the supplies I needed here! Its incredible!

Like a kid in a candy store I am when I walk through the Blick doors. Do I check out the Copic markers? Do I need more paper? Do they have that certain shade of dark green colored pencil Ive been searching for? Yes to all. Aisles of art supplies. Great selection of Copic and Prismacolor markers, often better than what I can purchase online. The prices are competitive and you save a little more when you buy in quantity. The staff Ive interacted with have been kind and helpful and their familiarity with product is useful when I have a question. Furthermore, they dont mind when I come in with my notepad to test markers before I buy them, a huge plus since the actual color differs from the label.

Prices in the store and on their website are often different. They say, they will match price on the site if it is less but the fine print is that they will match only if price of item + shipping is less than price of item in the store. Almost always item online will cost more if you include shipping. I do not understand why would prices be different in store and on THEIR site. If they want to encourage people to come to store and shop, the least they can do is have same price. Saying they will match price after shipping is included, is cheating. This is why people shop on amazon. In the future, I will just browse for items here and then buy it on amazon.

A huge amount of good stuff! Prices seem reasonable. I usually go there on a Sunday when Im already downtown in the morning. The parking is a little spare, and downtown traffic isnt wonderful, so sometimes the big employee owned art store in SE on 21st gets me because its closer. Really nice selection and friendly help.

Always find more than I wanted even found PrismaColor on sale. One day I will catch Faber on sale. 😁😁

Artist Heaven.

Had literally EVERYTHING I could ever want or need for any fine arts project. Had every color of art marker for individual sale, super good prices! 😍 This is my new favorite art supply store.

Its cheaper to buy online then it is to purchase at the store. When I asked the clerk about it she trys to inform me on how to wear my mask. I told her to mind her business. I wear mine like the good doctor does that is in the picture.

Staff is always so helpful and make potentially long trips, efficient!

Its an art supply store for artists, by artists. Ive been coming here since it was an Art Media brand store years ago, and the staff mostly hasnt changed in all this time. The people there are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They understand artists because theyre artists themselves. And their prices are mostly quite reasonable to boot.

They had what I needed.

EDIT January 2020:To management, THANK YOU for reconsidering the bag policy.While I realize that we have homeless issues around here, as well as theft, it was really a matter of throwing the baby with the bath water, and makes it less convenient for people who are car free. This makes it far easier for me to come since I dont need to go all the way to Portland when already doing other shopping.Best supply in the area, and convenient when I need something in a hurry, also has individual Prismacolor pencils for sale, which is always pleasant.

I went here to get some school supplies for college, and Im definitely gonna be back! Everybody there seems to really be passionate in what theyre doing, and the selection is awesome. I love the atmosphere in here. Plus, 10% student discount and great sales!

What a great local art store! They are for the professional artist and for the casual artist or crafter. I love doing coloring books, and I have gotten many of my coloring pencils and markers here. My mother is a professional artist and I have often picked up large sheets of watercolor paper for her, as well as other art supplies.The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. It is the one place I feel I can safely ask questions and get really great answers on products I’m unfamiliar with.

First time in. Love it. Sad they dont have 8oz bottles of primary blue and primary red acrylic paint in the Blick brand, if they did, 5 stars. Got great help from the lady who was working the counter. Will definitely be back!

Its amazing how many different art supplies were here. You can get clayor art pens or calligraphy pens or multiple kinds of paints and thats just naming a couple. They have good prices on everything and you can get singles of many items that you usually have to buy in packs. I spent 2 hours looking and the staff was extremely helpful. They are all knowledgeable and friendly. I could have spent even more time if I had looked at the second half of the store lol. If you enjoy mixed media art or multiple kinds of art, this is the place for you.

Very helpful, very organized, great sale prices

Like a lot of speciality arts & crafts stores, things are expensive. The selection is not stellar, but theres tools for carving and sculpture which is cool, including raw soapstone. Also spray paint, and various small gift ideas. Better than Hobby Lobby :)

Enjoyed walking thru a real art store. They have supplies that a big box retailer doesnt have.

Just an amazing place I was in heaven in the color pencils ... Got a free membership for all sales I can order online and receive the store discounts.. The manager was such a great help and the other employee was just as great! Love the store definitely go back artist paradise

Extremely disappointed by my experience framing a custom art piece that I hoped to “refresh” with new matting and frame. Not don’t on time, many days delay and after hanging gently in wall the piece fell fromMatting. Offer fromBlickWas to repair “free of charge”. When returned the original art was bent on right side, not made flat to mount to backing. Response from manager was a 50% off discount (same as ongoing advertised “sale” online and in windows almost constantly). Very disappointed by the lack of care and concern for my art work. Don’t trust Blick to get it right, they really don’t care if they do.

I was just killing time when I walked into the store and I wasnt expecting much because its much smaller than a big craft store like Michaels. Wow, was I surprised! There were so many neat items, things Ive not found anywhere else. The next thing I know, Ive purchased $$$$ cool items and walking out the door with a huge grin and planning my next visit. The staff was helpful and fun. This one gal who rang up my order had the best sense of humor and we bantered like old friends. I highly recommend taking a look around in this sweet little gem of a store, Im confident youll be pleased with the inventory and the staff!

This isnt the biggest Blicks around but they have surprisingly good stock. My kid and I go there about every month for painting and sketching supplies. What I like best is they carry more important things and not so many gimmicky things like other art stores. Really great place!

Fantastic job, I’m so grateful for the encouragement and connections I made with the staff here. I had a huge order to print and came in unprepared. This was the first time I made prints of my artwork and was unfamiliar with the process. I had no idea my artwork would look this good printed. I’m still in awe of the job they did on my prints. Very hot and hard to navigate in such a tightly packed store (especially tough during Covid with a mask on). Strangely did not have the art paper I was looking for, or the markers.

Such a great variety of quality art supplies. Generally always has an in store or online special. Its a family run business so you get quality help. I really love that they have artists come in for demos and a lot of the time they have what they call a make and take. Great hands on, prizes sometimes, and best of all its all free!!

Always a great place to pick up supplies. Sure some stuff might be cheaper online but we like to make sure its what we want in person first. We always get the silicone and some of the paints n mica powders, havent found em cheaper anywhere else. Always friendly and knowledgeable as well! Highly recommend them.Had to order online for school supplies before and it came QUICKLY as well! Shipped fast and shipping wasnt horribly expensive!

Very nice, can find a lot of stuff here that you cant at more general stores. Excellent source for all sorts of art supplies. My interests are in sketchbooks, book binding, pencils and inks and theres tons of very good supplies for that here!

Its convenient to have an art store like this close by, but our experience just wasnt so great. We had come here to get some supplies for our young one, as she got to decorate her own wooden swing chair for the outdoors. The problem comes to the outdoors part, as we wanted to make this chair and the painting on it last. The person we talked to at BLICKs recommended Shellac and that itd be good for the outdoors. However, later on when we did our research on this product and looked for an alternative that we could brush on instead of spray, it came to our attention that what they said was good for out doors use ... wasnt.

The greatest art supply store. They have a massive supply of everything you might need. If they do not have it in the store they can order it for you. The company has an extensive website and will send to your home or the store. The customer service is very good and the staff know their products well.

Prices are fairly high here. Sign up for their membership program -- its free and makes most prices much more competitive.

They have a lot of art supplies and they also do Framing for photos and canvas art! That tid bit surprised me. Staff was really helpful and all.

Have a lot of paints in a multitude of colors. This place is awesome!

They have all the art supplies you could possibly want, an entire aisle full of brushes (my favorite) two aisles of paint covering acrylic, water colors and oils. They have an entire back wall full of canvasses ranging from tiny to enormous, I think their largest canvas is about 5 x 7 or so. The staff is incredibly helpful and they also ask you questions about your art preferences in order to learn how to best help you and others. I also got a free promo T-shirt even though all I was buying was one tube of paint. It is a little bit of a drive from my house and I wish they were open a little later but thats not their fault. There is also a couple of guys working there that are arrogant and rude.

My favorite place to go besides Powells book store. They have a great selection of art material and if they dont have it in store you can most likely get it on line.
