I ordered a new header and exhaust for my 2011 Lotus Elise and it turned out that the parts did not fit perfectly into my car. There were many problems with the fitment such as the exhaust not fitting correctly into the mounts, exhaust pipe not coming out the rear center diffuser, and some other issues. Norman listened and analyzed the problem. He took me through his thought process of how he was going to fix the issues and showed me the steps he was going to take to make sure the fitment was going to work. Less than a week later my car was finished and everything fit perfectly! Thank you again Norman for getting me back into the car I love so much!!

I was really impressed with how nice the shop is and how skilled Norman is. The project I asked him to do was very complicated and was turned down by other vendors in town. Skill Set was the only shop that was able to take on the project and deliver it on time and on budget.Impressive !!!!

I found Skill Set after Googling for a metal shop near me because part of the metal frame for a computer desk Id purchased arrived missing a hole on one side where a screw needed to go. These guys were great - took the frame and returned seconds later with a perfect hole matching the one on the other side and didnt even take any money for it. They were friendly, professional, fast, funny, and I dig the shop. Its really big, nice and clean - you can tell they take pride in what they do. I could see that from that one little hole. Really nice vibe to this place. Id go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. I had purchased pieces of a headers/exhaust combo that I wanted to use on my ls3 Camaro. I ran into more than a few problems with trying to find a shop to install it, most of them made it sound impossible! Then I called Skill Set. Norman knows his stuff and then some. When I brought the car in we discussed the entire process, and after that I felt confident it would all come together. Well, it exceeded my expectations. It fits so perfectly under the car it could be from the factory, and those pipes are 3 inch! Not to mention how it sounds! Finally have the muscle car sound I have been looking for!

Just did a suspension swap on my 2108 4Runner with Norm. He was very patient with me explaining the process and parts needed for the way I wanted to use the vehicle. I feel like I got way more for my money - the confidence that everything was installed with care and precision. Norm is a wizard when it comes to metal-crafting. His work on welding my aluminum part was expertly done, affordable,m and performed on the spot.You can tell a lot about a business like this by the condition of the shop. Took my 76’ VW Camper van to Norm. It wouldn’t charge and had no power. He redid some wiring for me and tuned it up and now it runs like a champ. If you want your car worked on by someone who cares about doing the job right then Norm is the guy.

To help me build my exhaust he went out of his way To do a bunch of research and header fitting to find a set that would fit for my car very difficult process But his skills came through He had no problem handling it. Norman has done many fabrication jobs for me over the years. He listens to my needs and comes up with thoughtful solutions. For starters, Norman is top notch. Meticulous work, meticulous shop, amazing communication and certainly looks after your best interest. I brought my Ford Focus RS in for a laundry list of mods and he delivered on everything beautifully. The work included exhaust system, down pipe, intake, intercooler, hard pipe, motor mount, re-map / custom tune and more. Where parts didn’t fit, out of box, he fabricated a way to make it fit. Your Ford Focus RS, Subaru WRX or any other car out there, is in the best of hands.

I had Skill Set Fabrication work on my Mitsubishi evo 9 to get it ready for drag racing. the interior was gutted and a custom aluminum center console replaced the stock one. racing seats, new race steering wheel added, role bar was brought up to new race standards, engine bay was gone through and cleaned up and a custom exhaust was added. he also aligned and corner balanced. the results: reduced drag times (down to 11.2) and 11mph faster in the qtr mile (136).the other vehicle was my 77 completely restored bronco which had issues from work done at a different shop. Norm completely rebuilt the the top end of the engine, then redid the rear suspension to level the car and add better traction. it also had a big problem with the engine overheating. norm added a new radiator, a huge fan on the from to push more air through. he also added an overflow bottle to recycle the fluid if i got to hot.the result was a bronco i could drive anywhere anytime and not worry about it.i do have to say Norm does amazing work. he goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly and will last.

Norman is AWESOME! I dropped a 6.0l v8 into my Jeep Rubicon and needed to have the exhaust custom fabricated from the headers back and Norman killed it with his weld and fab skills. He one off designed an entire system with high flow cats, 3 tube, magnaflow muffler, O2 sensors, making sure it would handle the performance of the LS2 motor and the requirements of extreme off road use. Norman tig welded every section and showed why he is a true custom fabricator. You guys ROCK! Thanks

When I broke the stud bolt on the turbo manifold of my 2018 Subaru WRX trying to install the new exhaust. I gave these guys a call. I told them my situation, and how I needed my car up and running ASAP. They told me no problem. Had the car in the air and drilled out the old stud bolt, then heli-coiled new threads and installed the whole exhaust in about a day! Unbelievable work and craftsmanship. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Be careful, they will charge you 5% for telling them how to do their job! JK Best shop ever! Highly recommend!

I took my 2010 Ford Raptor to Norman to have a leveling kit and new front and rear High performance brakes and rotors installed, Norman took the time to explain and then we ordered the parts that would work best, He was exactly right, my truck rides just as he said, and the brakes are perfect !!, I couldnt be happier with the craftsmanship and the helpful knowledge you get talking with Norman .
