Sheila is the best Walmart vision center manager Ive dealt with in my 20 years of going. Will be bringing my family back and recommending this vision center to my friends. Thank you sheila for being so attentive and kind with my many questions. It was very much appreciated.

My 10yr old needed her vision checked after not passing the school vision screening in one eye. Dr. Bradford was extremely patient and thorough with her. She was very nervous about the new experience. All of the staff were then very helpful while she looked around at glasses. We especially enjoyed Donald who helped us with ordering the pair she chose.

Ive never had a bad experience with this optical department the doctor is so patient and kind. Hes excellent with children I would encourage all families to go here, hes THE best!

We loved it here. Me and my preschooler had an eye exam and my husband had a contact appointment. They got us in quickly and even helped us find frames that suited our wants. We also got our new glasses in less than a week

I would leave a 0 if I could. I highly caution people not to take your kids here. I brought my child here at the start of last school year. I was verbally informed that her eyes are not perfect, bit there was no need for glasses, she would grow out of it. Then he marked off that everything was perfect and shooed me out the door. This was after being told she needed glasses by her pediatrician after a failed eye exam for kindergarten. Long story short it took me having to pay for a whole new exam, because my insurance wouldnt cover a second exam when he marked that her eyes were perfect on the first, and a half a year before I could get her seen anywhere else. She fell behind in school due to not being able to see her work. Finally, after being examined at the childrens hospital in saint Louis, I was told that she needed glasses immediately, due to her eyes being very uneven in strength, and that she was very farsighted! Now shes been in glasses since christmas, and after working all summer even, she is finally almost caught up to where she needs to be with her reading.Overall, this may be an okay place to go if you are an adult, or dont need an exam, but if you have a child then pick somewhere else. It cost my child being behind in school, picked on because kids thought something was wrong with her, and now shes lost much of her first spring and summer breaks due to trying to learn everything quickly during this time. Now shes going into 1st grade with the glasses she needs. Thankfully I was able to provide for her and get her to someone better suited for children, but if I hadnt then she would be doing kindergarten over again thanks to this optometrist.

BUYER BEWARE.. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME....I would have given them a zero if I could. I have been coming here for 4 years, each time there is an issue with my order. The doc is very professional and detailed, he is the true reason I continue to put myself through this torture, however his staff.. theres a lot missing. They are incompetent, unorganized and not professional. They act as if you are a bother. I visited on 6/1.. To pick up contacts and glasses. Sat there for 20 minutes, while the search party looked for my glasses.. Once found, she wasnt sure if they were even ordered properly. The girl that was helping me, tried to give me my NEW glasses and the frame was loose, and her response was you have a year warranty on them... why give me glasses that had issues. Then we found out that I had been overcharged for contacts and undercharged for glasses.. another 30 mins while they deciphered the debacle.. At the end of the visit, I left with NOTHING... and all they could say was sorry.. they said that so much during my visit to me and other customers... seems to be their go to line. While crediting my money, the manager, Sheila starts to belittle an employee, how she has been screwing up and how she wishes she would not help people...a manager should NEVER say those things to a customer or within ear shot of customers... very unprofessional... So I was punished for their mistake and I have to start this process over from scratch... I will no longer patronize this vision center.. they have lost a very loyal customer...

I have vision insurance and my glasses still cost almost $300. I have a $300 pair of glasses that I cannot wear. The lenses keep falling out. I have been fighting with this for weeks. Walmart does not care. I have been waiting for almost a week for the replacement pair. I got the original glasses in a couple days. Its like Im being punished for the mistake they made. I guess if they dont mess your glasses up you may be fine. But do you want to risk it. Horrible customer service and product.

Dr. Hartig performed a detailed and comprehensive eye exam and contact fitting. He answered all of my questions and made me feel like a valued customer. I saw Dr. Hartig 20 minutes after being seen by a local optometrist. Dr. Hartig restored my faith in patient care.

I have always had great service from this Walmart Vision Center. Its very reasonable if you dont have insurance coverage.

I have always found them pleasant, been going here for years. The optometrist is terrific, competent and friendly!

The visit was wonderful, Sylvia was very knowledgable and very helpful in showing me what I needed to know. I will return and use Dr Karr again. I would advise a visit to them if you need glasses .

I went here 2 years in a row because its a cheap exam and I didnt have vision coverage. With astigmatism and working on a computer not getting my contacts/glasses isnt an option. They forgot to do the contact exam the first trip causing hurdles that were unnecessary for my busy life. The second year was much of the same. I am so glad my employer added vision coverage to our health plan as going to this walmart again was not an option. If you absolutely must use walmart go to the OFallon store. They were much better.

Always very helpful and completely understood when I was running late. Plus, you cant beat the prices.
