The concept of this store is great! I loved being able to just grab and go. The fresh food items look of great quality and theres a nice selection.

Competitive price and friendly service

I gave them an extra 3rd star just coz I saw the owner couple is hardworking.Now comes the negative part -First glance of the store looks cheap place/ poor/dirty/unorganized/dull/poor lighting. They have a lot of cardboard box here & there .Staff is not much to refill the shelves or remove empty cardboard boxes. Rotten fruits& veggies should be removed promptly from the shelves.I thought its going to be cheaper than H-Mart in Bellevue downtown but sadly NO.I could only buy one or 2 sale items,Vegetables were as comparable to any other grocery store but not cheaper.Coming all the way to Newport hills is not worth it. I came to buy only their advertised specials.I found-Ginger, garlic, cilantro, tomatoes, bananas, opo squash etc were not cheaper here .Example, If you buy fresh fruits & vegetables from neighborhood walmart, then you wont come here unless theres a very specific asian item you are looking for.Most products didnt have an expiry date printed on it . Shelf tags prices were absent for most products.Theres a lot of improvements they could work on.Ending positive note-If you live in Newport hills you can imagine coming here bi-weekly, or if you live in factoria you can come here once in a month.

Inventory good and price is excellent. Limited meat products.Vegetables are fresh especially on Thursday where the Asian vegetables will arrive from California. On Wednesday they have fresh rice noodles 河粉 deliver to the store.

Seems like the staffs here have a tendency to forget putting the correct price tags. It happened to me that two items on my purchase ringed almost double the price than whats shown on the tag. The woman at the register wouldnt care to honor the price on their tags which I was not surprised, she just simply told me the staffs forgot about changing tags, so take a second look on your receipt to make sure you are not being overcharged for anything.

It was first time we went there yesterday. We came from Hong Kong and were happy to see the wide selection of foods which were catered to the HK taste. The store looked a bit old and dull but the good prices pay off so we do not mind. Some of the items are 15-20% cheaper than Uwajimaya. Many foods there are specially selected which we could not find in other Asian markets. Will definitely go back again for grocery shopping.

Great little neighborhood market with all the ingredients we cant get at your average supermarket. If they could afford to keep the place as tidy as supermarkets, theyd have 5 stars easily. Its hard to provide niche imports and still compete on price though, so look past the books cover and show these guys some love! Where else are you gonna get a case of perfectly sweet Champagne mangoes, Chao Koh coconut water from Thailand, or difficult-to-find Asian vegetables and spices in South Bellevue?

Great Asian grocery store with a good selection of produce and ready good deals on herbs in bulk. A lot of interesting snacks too. Theres a pretty large parking lot so parking was easy. I didnt see any prepared food there and the meat selection is limited.

Awesome Asian grocery store with almost every kind of Asian snacks and ingredients youd want. Prices are competitive and location is convenient. Great place to just walk around and see whats new as it seems like theyre always adding new products every week. Theyre even selling the Tiger Boba ice cream now!

When I checked out the cashier pointed out the vegetables was spoiled and she take the time to get me a fresh one, I have never experienced that in any supermarket. I would highly recommend this local market store.

I love this place. Theyre very conscientious about msg in their products and they tend to offer cleaner Asian food products (i.e. real ingredients without a bunch of garbage) in their sauces and condiments.

The price is very reasonable, the variety is abundant, the supermarket is spacious, and the owner and wife are very friendly!

This is our neighborhood store and we love it. We are Eastern European folks and find many of our food items. But more than we love the produce and most often find what we are looking for. As well as something new to try. We have a family tradition of walking to the store as a family.

I can’t believe I’ve lived so close to this place and only now just went inside and fell in love. I’m impressed with the quality and price of foods I purchased. Especially the produce, meat, and frozen foods.

Great chinese asian market

Newly opened in the last couple of years, I have made S-mart one of my regular Asian groceries. It has a good variety of vegetables as well as dry goods and frozen foods. Prices are comparable to other Asian groceries. But since most of them dont have an online presence, it makes it harder to comparison shop if you dont know the prices. They do not advertise sales either but if you live close by, its easy to swing by and see what is on sale.

Its very dirty and long lines. They have just one cashier. Do not but anything its open.

Produces are very fresh and in the great prices, I like the sites has lots of space to shop, very comfortable. Lots of goods, overall very nice to be recommended.

So many great things are sold here at very reasonable prices, I’d say unbeatable! The owner and the staff are always accommodating and friendly! I love this place! You can find great meat prices and cheap produce, more importantly, I can find things here that I don’t see elsewhere. I was surprised to find a great selection of Russian products, my favorite are frozen sea buckthorn, green young walnut preserves, and caviar. I also come here to get the meat bones for bone broth making, and my favorite are the 100% fruit juices with no added sugar from Georgia and Armenia. Super awesome place that I highly recommend!!!!

But some items are not labeled correctly (price on tags does not match with that at cashiers system, so cashier needs to send someone into the store and check price tag again). Some other items do not have price tags on shelf (probably because they are new items?). You find out how much you pay for these items at check out. Store is clean and spacious. Lighting is a little dim. Several items are good deals, such as apples and pineapples. Instant noodles are overall cheaper than they are at other Asian grocery store in the area. This store is very convenient for nearby residents and people working in this area. It should speed up with correct price tags and make up tags for those items without price information yet.

Very conveniently located in my neighborhood. They carry good priced produce and snacks. There is now a good selection of fresh meat, eggs, and milk products. Check out the sunflower seeds, they are the best Ive ever had!

I like that there is finally a convenient store near our home. They have all the basics, and the fruit is good! The cashiers are friendly as well.

Great place to shop for Chinese grocery, their owner works reallly hard to ensure they have the right merchant for the customers, the only down side is they don’t take Apple Pay :)

Great neighborhood mart with fresh, varied selection. They dont carry fresh meat yet, but I heard its coming soon. When we went they had Pocky vendor samples and were friendly and generous in walking around and offering samples. Definitely worth supporting to have such a close and friendly option for groceries! Prices very competitive also, better than 99 ranch market, Hmart and Asian food center.

Prices are fantastic, market is very easy to park at and close to my home! Snack selection is superb! Ramen noodles and great meat and vegetable selection as well. Hoping word gets out about this new market in Newport Hills!!

Always wanted to try different cultural foods and now it’s only a mile away. Super clean and great to walk to after school for a quick snack. The atmosphere seems a little bland but overall it has great prices and employees.

Super clean inside and the prices are inexpensive with a lot of great produces and snacks that my kids love. There are a lot of variety of Asian food available. Be sure to buy a bag of rice before you leave. Their rices are the cheapest that I can find.

S MART your signs Chinese character for basket about please do not take the baskets out of the store is incorrect!! Ugh, I already told one cashier but she seems does not understand the differences. Basket is 籃 like basketballs basket its same word, NOT the 藍 which means color blue.

I dont usually write reviews on google/yelp but I have to say I really like getting my grocery shopping here. And Im glad I found this place because its so close to where I live. I used to go grocery shopping over to Viet Wah on sunset blvd but I stopped going there because the all the prices are pretty high.. and some of the produce is not so fresh looking. Produce at S mart is fresh and much cheaper than Viet Wah. The meat selection is little limited but I think its just because they just opened their business and not many people know that this is Asian mart (I also didnt know till recently because there are no signs that shows Asian mart outside.) The people who own the business are very kind and helpful to find what I need :) I highly recommend this place!
