I had a lovely experience buying watercolors for the first time today. Elli introduced me to water brushes, showed me how to get set up, and I left feeling happy and encouraged. The store is so aptly named! Ill be back.

I popped in the other day to pick up a couple supplies for a project, and tried a new type of pen. Elli gave me a 5-minute demo on the spot and showed me a complementary item that would round out what I had in mind! Her enthusiasm for art and creativity of all kinds just exudes from every interaction. (and she did an Alice in Wonderland themed drop-in party recently - like how AWESOME is that?!)

This store is literally a small slice of heaven. I wandered in and was in awe. All types of paper for any type of art anyone is doing. All types of glitter And ribbons, fun little art pieces to add to your art supplies for your next project. The owner is a wonderful woman who is not only the sweetest person I have met this whole year, she supports and promotes the artist community by putting up local art. I wish there was 10 stars to give because this store more than earned it. I will forever be going here. I highly recommend this store. Especially if you need large sheets of watercolor or a sketch pad, glitter, ribbons, stamps, cards, paint, pens, all types of artist supplies to get your creativity soaring. The owner, Elli, is incredibly enthusiastic- you can really tell that she loves what shes doing. Is happy to help and demo and is interested in the projects of her customers. I stopped in just to check it out but will come back for supplies here when I need them- would rather shop here than a big box store.Thanks Elli!

Happened upon this adorable little fairy run craft store and thought wed check it out. We were very pleased! So cute, such good stuff including art by local artists, and an adorable coloring book by the owner!💗 Well be back for sure!

Elli was super helpful and so friendly, but also totally was not like, in your face and insistent on chatting if you wanted to just shop in peace. I came in looking for some paper to make my wedding invitations. The selection I found shopping around online and at mass retail stores was awful but I left Art and Happiness with much more beautiful, high-quality paper than anything I saw online, and I hardly spent anything at all on them!I am so pleased with what I found there. There also was a particular type of envelope that I came in looking for that I didnt find, but when I asked Elli about it, she said shed order it in her next delivery and put me on a list to let me know when theyre in.Highly recommend this spot. Definitely a new favorite. Looking forward to coming back for future projects.(also they have dogs!!!)

Elli, the owner of Art and Happiness is literally the most excited person about art I have ever met. She translates that joy and love of art to you with plenty of ideas, support and genuine interest into your own creative style. Even if your feeling confused or stressed about a project, she patiently listens and gives you support for growth with her years of knowledge and experience. Just want a pick me up in a place with lots of fun creative things and people? This is the place to be.

What a gem! This little place is packed with amazing paper crafts, art materials, local stickers, everything you could dream of that you likely wont find at a big box craft store (like this DIY unicorn head!!). Elli is delightful and SO friendly, and obviously loves what she does! Skip Michaels and come here!

The owner, Elli was very helpful. I gave her the wrong measurements and she was willing to take it back on her own. I couldnt let her do that, so I took the item home. Great people, great place.

This is one of the happiest places in Bellingham! Stop here for art supplies and good cheer. I can always find the cutest patterned paper, stamps, ink, paint, and other supplies for paper crafting. The owner is very kind and always happy to chat. She also carries an outstanding collection of low cost local art, like cards and stickers. Great for gift giving!

Amazing store hands down

This is an amazing place! If you like scrap-booking, art, crafts, home made gifts, hand make greeting cards, personalizing your stationary, and beautiful wrapping paper and imported papers and fabric alike than shop here! Elli is wonderful, and the store has so many amazing things that are hard to find else where else! Just go and check it out, I bet you will find something for you. And supporting local businesses like this is so much better than the cheaply made things you can get online.
