It’s a nice, organized Goodwill, but overpriced for the goods. I donate here often and they are friendly when I drop off. Shopping, on the other hand, is like a consignment store instead of a Goodwill. The goods are donated and I think they should be priced accordingly. Yes they have overhead, but their prices are over- the-top.
I do not recommend goodwill, I always try to shop at other thrift stores first but tonight I needed things ASAP. I bought 5 of the same item in different sizes and they over priced the 2 that didn’t have tags more than the same quality same item i had with a tag on and they refused to go even a few dollars lower to match the other items! One luggage case i bought was London fog brand with a carry on set for 30 and the embark suitcase didn’t have a tag and no carry on set and the man charged me 25 even though all the other luggage bags were 20 or less for that size and quality
This Goodwill has a well-rounded assortment of clothes and accessories. The staff was friendly.
The folks here are always efficient, cordial and timely. Quick and easy drop-off for anything that is useful for someone in need.
Found nice clothes, collectables and electronics.
Great place, cool staff, once in a while you can find some awesome stuff.
Great place to save money on many items. Used clothes and more. Families on tight budgets can find things they need. I like the organization of Goodwill too. Helping folks is the goal@
Found some good stuff as usual. This Goodwill has great variety! Good service!
It great to look around at the things there. Usually I can find something I would like to have.
Enjoyed the visit at this store. No pushy sales people. Thank you
I seriously cant believe how nice this Goodwill is... Ive never walked into one so organized. Found a couple of good deals, and dropping off donations has always been pretty easy (there is usually a bit of a wait, but compared to the one I used to donate to in Seattle, 10min or so is nothing.)
They have nice cashier and its still a good time to shop there. Thanks Goodwill 🙂
I love this place. I eat here whenever I can. Best Mexican food and plenty of it.
Went to drop off donations. Long line of cars and sat in line for 30 minutes. Only one person working and one donation cart that had to be emptied before it could be used again. Waited an additional 15 minutes before I could finish loading the donations. Be prepared for an extended wait if you are dropping off.
Love the goodwill, I have found so many great things. I go on a regular basis because new items are put out daily. These days I never pass buy a goodwill!!
I like Goodwill Bellingham. The staff are nice
Decent selection, good prices, fast service
You used to be able to find great stuff at great prices here... But those days are long gone. This place gotten steadily worse over the years. Just dont bother.
Great selection! A must if you love thrift shopping
Clean place. Love their Monday sales!
Seems to be kept clean and they do clean clothing items after you have handled them. However. there is less merchandise in the store, especially furniture. I assume this is to make cleaning easier.
A reasonable selection with Seattle area prices.
Very bad customer service at the cashier..last time were shopping there
I get that everyone has to be careful these days with COVID but really...the people receiving the donations are wearing masks and gloves therefore why arent they helping take the donations from people. Just watched an elderly man have to unload his entire back of his truck with boxes, open them all so the attendant could look in them all, and then the elderly man had to put them in the bin, BY HIMSELF. Why bother having an attendant. 😡
Easy InEasy OutNice Employees
Always a place to find mystery, romance and wonder. You can find gold here!
Really nice. A little pricey on some things though. Nice cashiers.
I needed some good knives and there was a great selection at Goodwill. The store associate that helped me was very helpful and friendly!
I love going to goodwill on Mondays. They offer a great deal on their items.
Always a great adventure & the staff are fantastic!
You may know Goodwill as a place with good deals that is respectful to theiremployees but what you dont know is this Goodwill is haunted. In 1997 in this location a boy smashed under the weight of a giant couch. His ghost now haunts this location.
A GREAT STORE, VERY FRIENDLY VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY WELL STOCKED & GREAT MERCHANDISE! I just read one of your posts/ reviews, and as far as IM CONCERNED? Bellingham Goodwill DOES NOT HAVE rude employees, or anything negative. Ive shopped there DOZENS of times & Ive NEVER ZHAD A BAD experience. So there!
Staff really makes you feel like family while shopping.
An average Goodwill location. Never sure what youre going to find lurking on the shelves. Our cashier was friendly enough.
Social distancing and sanitized standards very high. Good merchandise and well organized!!
Great store, but the donation line has always needed improvement. Horrible waits in a single line and you cannot escape once you hit a certain point inline. I shop here but I donate to Value VillAge... multiple cars at once, plus coupon.
Great selection, friendly service and good safety protocols
One of the best for treasure hunting. Friendly staff. Sometimes the pricing is a bit high...but still very reasonable.
The only thing I hate worse than taking donations to Goodwill Bellingham is the thought of throwing good, useable clothing away when someone could use them. Believe me, Ive thought about it! The attendants provide no help, no tax receipt, and not even a thank you. I will be looking for another way to donate in the future.
Great selection, awesome prices, friendly staff!
Always clean an staff is friendly
Always some good values
I always find great deals here. Its always so much fun.
It was ok for a goodwill it looked organized but really wasnt
Its a nice Goodwill, Ive never had a problem with the staff, everyone has been really friendly and easy to deal with. The prices, can be a bit high on items and sometimes that can be frustrating since Im on a budget and I have to leave stuff I could use behind but other than the prices, I will still go once a week to see if I can discover a treasure.
One of the nicer Goodwills
Kind staff and found good tag deals!
Looks almost like pre-shutdown due to COVID.... Not quite, tho... Shelves are a bit sparce...
Its overpicked and everything is 5.99and $7.99 I get that its hard times but or way overpriced its almost becoming value village then theres not even a value there
Great finds with good qualty donations
This was the nicest good will Ive ever been too and Ive been all over the country. Its so clean, well organized and the staff are very friendly.
This is a well-kept store with great deals and good quality products. You can usually find one or two really cool products any time you go, at a minimum. Great books selection, too.
I went to go look at some shoes for my son i have medicaid reason why i cant wear mask and the guy at door said then dont shop here he make me put mask on i hope they get fine i call ada on them
I was so pleasantly surprised at this Goodwill. Everything was clean, organized well, and priced fairly. Were on vacation, and I needed a few extra shirts. I found exactly what I was looking for. I wish the Goodwill stores near my home were half this nice!
I have been donating to GW for decades and today was the FIRST time I was so rudely treated. Was was at the Sunset location at 1:37 pm( 5/28/2018) and the attendant : a very, very thin black man with a red baseball cap with a P on it; rolled a cart to the edge of my car...then walked away. I am an 85 year old disabled woman with mobility issues....it took me over an hour and half just to load my car. Your facility was not busy, yet he clearly expected me to unload the car myself. When I just stood there...he grumpily walked back and started SHOVING AND THROWING the contents of my car into the wheeled tote...part of it flying beyond the tote onto the ground. He was extremely rude to me and then when my car was empty he walked away again. OK....I stood there again until he looked up at me and then asked if I wanted a receipt...yes, please was my answer.I feel this is NOT in the spirit of your organization. You cannot continue to be a success if you have employees like this one. There are other organizations in our area to donate items who will accept them gladly.I am a retired retail manager and someone with this sort of attitude needs to be in the back somewhere...certainly NOT interacting with the general public. I understand we all need jobs...but one should be grateful for the jobs that we DO have. Now all I can say is that today I was extremely disappointed with your organization and its service.
Found what I needed, cheap prices.
Ive been playing music since a little kid walked in and found a surprising find of some Planet Waves audio cables that were $9 new however the manager had them priced at $24. When I spoke to the employer to ask the manager if he could lower the price because Goodwill is not allowed to price things higher the new value the manager immediately said no and hung up didnt bother to come out say a word or anything highly disappointed that they were selling a pair of cords for $24 when they were 9 Bucks new and $5 used what a rip off and he was incredibly rude to his employee I do not appreciate that and will not be returning
Always fashionable and sometimes funky place to shop for anything used and/or donated. Usually affordable, tho prices seem to be going up. A non-religious charity-based business that actually helps the community by providing jobs and workplace education.
Super friendly and helpful staff... not to mention, this Goodwill has the best selection of EVERYTHING! Ive been to dozens of Goodwills in dozens of states, this one is the best!
Very clean and workers were very kind.
Fantastic
I find some rare items here. And a friendly group. Saving money is important and reusing things that are still good and not over paying for brand new items is very practical... just makes sense.
Great staff, Barb in jewelry is always friendly and helpful. I brought the rating down because of pricing on many things are way over priced. Jewelry prices seem fair for the most part.
The Goodwill has raised the prices of so many items that I dont buy them- they seem to forget that most Items are USED, and not very clean, maybe or maybe not in working order, right now it is merely convenient for me. I must say tho that the last few months the store looks good with strategically placed displays and much stuff has been re-organized. Wish they would tell the furniture movers not to drag thing across the floor as this will weaken the legs of the furniture.Would like to have them fix the slamming doors of the fitting rooms too!
Nice clothes and items very cheap. Love it!
I have always been very pleased with the selection of items to choose from and Ive purchased a lot. Every person working there has been awesome. Thank you
Local newspaper annual reviews consistently rate this as the best Thrift Store in Bellingham - though Value Village is also very good. Prices do fluctuate as Red Tag and etc specials go on
Very shady, come in sunday and find a jacket I like. Asked the associate if it will be on sale for the holiday. She said yes and took it back to rack. Next day, same jacket, different color label and $5 more expensive just in time for the sale.
Bad place to drop off, sat in line for 2 hours then decided the dump was the best option.
Store has been cleaned up, more organized and more inventory. I would give 5 but a little pricey on some products
Helpful and friendly staff! Weve found some treasures to enjoy... And it keeps us coming back.
I like the management who run this store clean and have employees that are nice and friendly. There detail on presentation is great! I have purchased as well as donated!
Great
Luv this place ♡
Its my First time here and very good first impression its big organized and clean
Came here for toys and books. Managed to find great items for extraordinary prices.
My go to source for building my Hawaiian shirt collection. Clean and friendly service.
Found a storage bin that I was looking for. Saved myself $10.00 from buying it new.
Nice people!!!
BOYCOTT all Goodwill Industries Stores!!!! - do not support this business in any way! Its operation is a total misrepresentation, they have little concern for the people that they employ and even less for the people they supposedly claim to serve.DO NOT SHOP, DONT Donate here! This so-called non-profit, so-called thrift store, Goodwill Industries, is just that an industry, the only goodwill is in its name.As with most Goodwills, identical items can be found at different prices. As other reviewers have commented, items can be found priced the same (or more then) piece of new merchandise that can be found in a retail setting. It is a normal practice of this particular industry to discard a significant portion of donated items that could be repairable shortly after donation. (Remember! any proceeds to this alledge charity is based on sales??).Goodwill does not train or hire anyone to do even the simplest of repairs. They concentrate on training people for retail. If you want to donate give to the Salvation Army store (1515 Birchwood) or Value Village (near WinCo, and the mall); better yet any small operations you know.
Ridiculous: This place appeals to peoples generosity b/c they employee and help people w/ handicaps, thus getting free stuff - on the surface thats great. But wait, a lot of their prices are the same as Walmarts??? For used stuff??? Heres what upset me a few months ago, I live a distance and I called to find out if they had oven roasters and the price. They didnt want to check and after I asked the manager and explained the distance they agreed. They got a clerk to ck whom I explained its a roaster oven, not a crock pot. So he gave me a price of $15 for one. I asked if they would hold it but they wouldnt. So I rode my big bike in to get it. It turns out that it was a crock pot and that the roaster ovens are $30+ (Wow! thats the price at Walmart and Kmart, NEW). I asked to speak to the manager and explained the whole situation and how I had just wasted my gas and time. To which she apologized but would under no circumstances give the roaster oven at the price they had quoted me. I couldnt believe the callousness of this organization. Not only do they get these items free, waste my time and gas but want me to pay for their mistake something I could buy new for that price. In conclusion: I havent been there since nor plan to go anytime soon.
Always has some cool stuff
I find something great everything I come here, its a good one.
Not sure which is slower, Goodwill or the DMV
I purchased a lot of things their very cheaply and they work like new.
Lots of treasures
Nice clean interior, but a bit on the pricey side sometimes
Great location with a good vibe and nice people. Its clean for what it is and usually pretty quiet.
Put something on hold in bellingham today..a troy lee designs upper body armor shirt for moto cross or dh biking...they gave me a great price of 5.99,i was happy until i return with my wallet 50 minutes later to be told they had sold it to somebody else...it was under my name and had a date and time...im a guy and they said some lady said she was me/with me and they just decided to sell it to her...they said she was watching from behind somewhere and claimed to be with me....i call bullshit...hey goodwill employees...maybe you could check the name on the hold slip before you just give it out to anybody..driving home in rush hour traffic twice, thanks a bunch.id give you less than 1 star if i could..oh and thanks for the nonchalant sorry
Things were over priced. I liked Value Village better.
Incredibly overpriced. I got a brand new bamboo drawer organizer online andme and Goodwill in Bellingham was charging the SAME price for a USED as it cost me to have a brand NEW one delivered to my door.I dont know what they are thinking or who is doing the pricing but its off putting to find dirty used items that they have had donated for FREE so overpriced. An elderly lady was looking for pajamas and was lamenting that on her pension she could no longer afford Goodwills prices. When I commented on it to a staff member they blamed the CEOs of Goodwill for pressuring them to charge more. IF you notice the reviews from 2 to 3 years ago you will see there has been a noticeable change and the biggest current complaint is their prices. They will lose business.
Everything ive bought from this particular store didnt work once i got it home. im fed up, which is why i finally wrote a review. every single item ive purchased from this store has been returned. test your merchandise idiots
Great deals. Awesome service.
Great place to donate used goods and pick up things like books and other used things.
As always, friendly, professional and clean!! I love shopping there.
Always a few thrifty gems here. Scored a speaker/ amp setup for my desktop for under $30 on my last visit!
