My wife is very particular about dessert (she has a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts) so when she gets excited about a dessert place like this its a big deal.First the setup and aesthetic of the shop itself is really great. It somehow balances inviting and cozy with hip and sleek.My wife got a full bag of goodies when we stopped in: vegan carrot cake, Nanaimo bar, Belgian chocolate tort, chocolate hazelnut orange tort, and a super decadent brownie.All of it was amazing both to the layman (me) and to the expert connoisseur (my wife).This place rules and we will definitely be back.

Pure Bliss Desserts was a fantastic wedding dessert choice! We worked with Renee who was quick to respond, offered helpful input, and made sure we had all our needs covered multiple times during the process. We even changed our pick up time last minute and she said no problem! we went with mini cup cakes and a small cake. They were beautifully decorated without being too busy given the sizes. The desserts were delicious, multiple guests said the cupcakes were so good!

Chocolate Bliss, Can Confirm!!First visit, saw a huge line out the door, thought we’d walk around until near closing and sneak in closer to closing for a to go treat. Still a line.Worth the queue? Yuppp! There’s a reason this place is popular. The deserts are beautiful, they have booze, and decor is stunning.Lots of outside and inside seating!

The desserts here are amazing! Huge selection to choose from. I had a coconut chocolate cake and my date had a fruit shortcake (made with local berries). Both were really good. They were good sized portions and we could have easily shared. They also had some “petite” slices which we will probably try next time. And definitely do a scoop of ice cream if you do the chocolate cake to balance out the flavor.The place was clean and the ambiance was trendy but the staff were still very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Love Pure Bliss. Ive never had a bad dessert. The pink champagne cake they have for valentines day is probably my favorite. The berries and cream is soooo delicious as well. The seasonal cakes really are amazing. There was a bourbon pecan over the holidays that was addictive and drool worthy.

First off — absolutely fantastic cake! Super dense, very moist and incredible. Second — the staff are wonderful!! I want to particularly thank Maggie, who helped jump our car at a pretty late time, in a busy shift. We really appreciate the help and care the employees show for their customers. The inside was very clean and had a good appearance. I like the cheesecake but the cake had like a brownie consistency. With that said, the salted Carmel chocolate cake was very good! It was a nice place to stop after dinner for dessert.

Wow, what a positive, delicious experience visiting Pure Bliss. Only being in town for one day, this visit made my trip so sweet from the tasty treats and amazing customer service. Everyone who helped us was incredibly kind and I highly recommend visiting this bakery.

We always love this place for a delicious sweet treat. They recently added five tables outside on the sidewalk, which is awesome! Our last visit featured a fudgy brownie versus the deluxe salted chocolate cookie. The cookie one hands down although the brownie came in a very close second. But I will say, the iced Americano that I had with oat milk was one of the best Ive had all summer. Also of note, they had a paleo option and some gluten-free options. Friendly service, high quality delicious treats, and great atmosphere, its easy to give this place five golden stars!

Ive been a repeat customer here for the past three years! My friends and I have ordered a handful of birthday cakes from them, and they never disappoint. We also order slices a lot when the mood strikes. Again, always super high quality cakes--the only chocolate cake I like! Yesterday, my friends car broke down in the parking lot right next to the shop, and one of their workers literally walked to her car to drive it over and help jump ours. Totally made our night more manageable! Only place Ill be ordering my cakes from!

Weve visited the bakery a handful of times for a treat and coffee (always stellar, never disappoints), but this review is about our wedding desserts!We worked with Pure Bliss and Renee for our wedding desserts, which was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!! Communication was quick and clear, and she asked all the right questions to capture our vision for our wedding day. Since we were planning during COVID, we were able to plan a to-go cake and dessert tasting. It was an easy process, except for narrowing down cake flavors - everything was amazing, it was hard to choose! PBD delivered our order to the venue on the wedding day and we were also able to rent display plates and stands. Our wedding cake looked classy and the flavor was out of this world. We chose a chocolate cake with espresso sweet cream filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream, plus some other goodies like a lemon wedge, Nanaimo bars, a chocolate torte, and Russian tea cakes/cookies. We received SO many compliments from our wedding guests on our desserts, and there was barely anything left over, so we know everything was a hit! COVID REVIEW: This business made me feel safe! Well-defined spots for waiting your turn to order, with more spaced-out waiting areas (with chairs!) for orders to be brought out. Hand sanitizer was provided at the entrance and staff were helpful with instructions, and generally very warm and inviting.So many choices! Including vegan cakes and cookies. The vegan carrot cake was spectacular! This was my first visit and I ordered that cake, the monthly special (a chocolate caramel tart that I wasnt too fond of the texture of but the flavor and crust were great), and some vegan and normal cookies. I will be back many, many times.....

Great cakes by the slice (or the whole), as well as other sweet options. Four of us split four slices and could have done with two--but ate every bite of four. Everyone had a different favorite, but no piece was a reject. My daughter also really likes their Italian sodas. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old-time sweet shop or something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Everything is always so good and looks amazing. The staff makes you feel welcome and theyre as sweet as the desserts.Its like a whole hog slice of heaven.

Very cute bakery with pink Victorian looking furniture to sit on while indulging in your just purchased sweets. I was there early afternoon on a weekday and there seemed was a continuous line of people waiting to order, but the line moved quickly. They had many delectable sounding flavors of cakes and cupcakes, but I opted for two flavors of cookies to go (snickerdoodle and the everything cookie). They were fatter than your typical cookie and cost $3 each. I have to say that I didnt find them any better than other bakery cookies. However, I will return some day and try a slice of cake.

I bought 4 slices of cake and 2 of their bars for a birthday dinner. The lemon cake, orange cream cake, and raspberry shortbread cake were all dry. The frosting on them was at least good. The Oreo cake was moist. The lemon bar was very lemony which I liked. It was a bit much towards the end so I’m glad the portion wasn’t bigger. This was my first time trying this place and for the price per slice I don’t think I’d recommend it as much as everyone seems to be.

Prices are high ($7 for a slice of cake, $3.75 for a medium sized cupcake) but its worth every penny. Whole food ingredients make the cakes so so good, and their frostings are to die for (and Im not a frosting person at all!). Not someplace to go every day of the week, but amazing for special treats!!! I will definitely go back, and I would definitely recommend it. Two thumbs up.

Meg and the Pure Bliss team were awesome to work with on our wedding. They were very responsive to our requests and flexible when we added cake toppers and decoration. The cake turned out even more beautiful than I had imagined! They are real artists! Best part though was that it tasted delicious and we got a ton of compliments from our guests! They even have some gluten free flavors (we chose carrot cake for our top tier) for GF folks. Youd never know! So delicious and fluffy and the fillings perfectly balance the sponge. We also ordered Nanaimo bars and lemon wedges as well, which are super delicious!

Staff is super friendly. Even when it is busy, they move folks through quickly. Pure Bliss is a family favorite.

In Bellingham for the weekend, I was strolling around the downtown commercial area when I spied Pure Bliss. The menu posted outside was irresistible, and I excitedly walk in. My enthusiasm became immediately tempered by the pink floor decals, keeping patrons measurably distant from each other, the sales help, and the desserts on display. Pandemic safety takes precedence over exuberance. Everything looked scrumptious, especially in the classically elegant interior, but the sterility of the viral protection seemed to overwhelm the ambiance of Pure Bliss. Service was a bit cold, my giddy affect not reciprocated.I ordered for take out a slice of NY Cheesecake, a slice of Cookies and Cream cake, a caramel salt cupcake, and a caramel bar. My cheesecake was very good, but lacked the heaviness of a true New Yawk Cheesecake. While the icing on the Cookies and Cream cake mirrored the flavor of what one expects of cookies and cream, the cake itself was chocolate. Both the bar and cupcake were a taste of caramel heaven. Prices may be high for Bellingham, but in line for sophisticated pastry. Pure Bliss will be revisited by this dessert maven.

I considered several bakeries in the area when planning my wedding, but decided to go with Pure Bliss because they’re a local Bellingham business and they had the best prices. I decided to do a dessert bar and a small cutting cake rather than a full wedding cake. The dessert bar price includes stand rentals, delivery, and dessert bar set up. There are lots of options for desserts and you can schedule a tasting to try them. We ended up serving 3 different dessert bars and they were a huge hit with our guests. Everyone at Pure Bliss was very kind and helpful. It was easy to work with the event team over email to schedule our tasting and order our desserts. The desserts were delivered on time and looked beautiful. Our cutting cake looked super classy and tasted amazing. Pure Bliss’ chocolate cake is so incredibly moist, I highly recommend it!! Pure Bliss Desserts is a delightful sweets bakery in downtown Bellingham with excellent cookies and bars.And I can report that their wedding cakes are also divine, as my wife and I got our cake from them. We got a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and an orange cake with raspberry puree filling. I was expecting the filling to be a thin icing between the layers of cake, but was pleased to find generous helpings of filling. I am told the chocolate cake was good, but I can report that the orange cake was light, subtle, and thoroughly pleasing. I am sad to report that I do not have any pictures of the beautiful job they did on our cake yet - when our photographer gets us our pictures, I shall definitely share.Their catering service was also impeccable, prompt, and unobtrusive.To say I would highly recommend them would do them a disservice - they were a pleasure to work with, and, given the opportunity, I would gladly do so again.Edited to add: Whenever Im in Bellingham, Ill endeavour to make a stopover at Pure Bliss, and encourage others to do likewise.

I am updating my review as I think I was a bit harsh. While I believe the communication between business and customer via email and phone could be improved, I had a better experience with one of the employees as I went to the bakery in person. I am looking forward to meeting and working with their team to make my wedding cake.

Promise not met. Cute place, great menu, looked promising. Checked the case, walked to the counter to order. Stood there several minutes while multiple employees walked past or looked right at me and didnt even acknowledge I was there.Ordered a slice of the Flaked Coconut Lemon Curd cake to go. Back at my hotel, I found it dense and granular, more like cornbread, not light and airy as a cake should be. Looked moist, but was dry and grainy upon eating. A sad end to my stay in Bellingham. Perhaps Ill try again another time.

Pure Bliss provides a wonderful atmosphere and delicious cakes and desserts as well. I was never much of a cake person but Pure Bliss has changed that. They provide a delicious range of cakes that cater to all tastes. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is inviting.

It is what its name say pure Bliss, vegan or not that also means no dairy...who knew something could be so delicious without dairy! Btw I love butter and its liquid form cream so its saying something for me like vegan desserts! Why am talking about vegan so much because imagine what they do when they add the good stuff. Yep Yum yummy. Not be confused with yum yum but for some its close second for others less complicated!

I think it is a pretty decent bakery with pretty good and varying range of deserts. The decorations are very pretty and gives off a very nice. I would say instagram worthy the price is decent and I would recommend that you would give it a try if you have time to kill!

The easiest way to improve any gathering is to show up with these cupcakes. They taste great and are GORGEOUS, yes I said gorgeous cupcakes. The full size ones are pretty, but I seriously think the right choice is always the minis. The minis are just the right ratio of frosting to cake and you can eat your cupcakes tapas style if you get a variety of mini flavors. If you find yourself having to choose only one... Salted caramel is the ultimate.I also need to shout out the customer service. I was a very indecisive customer who is highly uneducated in the world of catered cupcakes but they made it happen.

Delicious desserts

I have never been anything but thoroughly impressed by this establishment. The owner, Andi, is one of the kindest and most genuine souls you will ever encounter. She has hired incredibly lovely staff as well. All of their desserts are amazing. My personal favorite is their strawberry shortcake which they only have seasonally because they source their berries (as well as much of their ingredients) locally. I highly recommend ordering whole desserts if you REALLY want your socks knocked off. Another aspect of the business that I love is how much they partner with and give back to this community. Pure Bliss is top notch and I highly recommend them.

We go to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary, a first day of school, a random rainy Tuesday in need of sweetness. My Seattle Bestie hits Pure Bliss every visit to Bellingham because she says it has better desserts than any bakery or cafe in Seattle. It was a wonderful experience. Maya took care of use, I really appreciated the care she took in boxing up our out treats into to go boxes. Plus she was all smiles. Yes, she had her mask on but, I could still tell. Unlike 2020 I would recommend this to friends.

I recently wanted to buy a slice of New York Cheesecake to celebrate my birthday, I was impressed at the customer service both over the phone and in person, the shop was lovely the cheesecake was delicious, and they even sold individual sparkly birthday candles!

This is a really classy place and their desserts are absolutely amazing. Salted caramel cake is to die for. The chocolate mousse is amazing.This is a super cute place to stop by for an espresso and a treat. I came here for my birthday last fall and its a perfect place to meet with friends. Super friendly staff. If you ever want to treat yourself this is the place to go. I love the interior, its very cozy and sophisticated. Due to border closures and an international relationship, I was unable to celebrate my fiancés birthday with him this year. Knowing how much he loves Nanaimo Bars, I searched bakeries near him that made them which is when I stumbled across Pure Bliss.The staff at Pure Bliss were incredibly accommodating with my online order and although I have yet to taste their Nanaimo Bars myself, I have been told that they were delicious and some of the best my fiancé has ever had! I placed another order around Christmas, and I had the same experience with wonderful service and my fiancé said they were just as delicious.There are many reasons I am looking forward to the safe reopening of the border, but being able to come for a visit and buy some treats is definitely high on my list.Thank you to everyone at Pure Bliss, you made the distance feel a little less far.

Just visited for the first time since their remodel. It was gorgeous in there and the treats were amazing, of course. But the staff, KT (spelling?) in particular, was awesome! So friendly and helpful. KT really went out of her way to make it a great experience for all. I will definitely be back!

I love this place. The service is great even when its busy, the remodel looks amazing, and the cake is perfect every single time. Its cute and cozy, perfect for dates! They were absolutely wonderful to work with! They arrived on time and set up a beautiful display! I provided crates for them upon arrival and and they knew exactly how to arrange them and use them. The desserts were all amazing, so delicious. All the guests loved them. Highly recommend!

I ordered a variety of cake slices, cookies, cupcakes, cheesecake and bars the last time I was in for a birthday party and my entire family would not stop raving about how good everything was! Their carrot cake is the best carrot cake I have ever eaten!

Very nice space and lovely desserts. Theyve started to increase their vegan options and now have a vegan carrot cake in the case most days. Their vegan carrot and chocolate cakes are moist, delicious and indistinguishable from those with animal ingredients. The staff is consistently friendly, fast and helpful. Really improved, lovely and welcoming space and theyve gotten rid of the old, uncomfortable seating.

If they have your dessert of choice, you should get it because itll be delicious. If you are willing try something new, literally every single thing there is delicious. If its suppose to have crunch it has crunch, if it suppose to be moist or crumbly, it is! Amazing. However, I did not try the coffee, but Im sure its good.
