I love the convenience store portion of this place, but find myself annoyed at the grill side about half the time. The food from the grill is fantastic, but the consistency is not there. I tend to get the burger most of the time and will add Bacon. 1 out of 3 times it wont have it and I get charged for it. If I order fries they almost always forget the dipping sauce and I have to ask. Not a big deal. However, my biggest annoyance though, is they advertise that the grill is open till 7pm. Yet, I get turned away frequently before 7pm. The cashier that turned me away tonight told me The Real Cutoff time is like 6:45/6:50 cause it takes him 10 minutes or so to make something. Maybe tell people the cutoff is earlier then when you actually stop cooking. That would make more sense.
Great fried food choices or they will make you sandwiches, burgers and more. Great beer and wine selection. Public unisex bathrooms, Great service and friendly.
Ok too many good things to share!First off, their deli. The prices are really reasonable and my husband said the best beyond burger he’s has yet.Then... Beer cave? There’s a beer cave! What? Yes!! Walk into the cold room filled floor to ceiling with hoppy options.Everything else in the store. I can’t imagine you need something they don’t have. The prices are better than Safeway which surprised me.This store could take advantage of its more remote location and charge more but it doesn’t. Huge fan!And the staff was really welcoming and genuinely friendly.
Overpriced, but great for picking something up quick in Sudden Valley. Theyve got the essentials. Employees are nice.
Loved this place since I moved close by 4 years ago, but I had a troubling experience there about 10 minutes ago. My cashier confided in me saying that his blood sugar was too low. I mentioned the issue to another cashier that I knew. The man who seemed to be in charge snapped at me. HE WILL HAVE A BREAK IN 20 MINUTES! All as my cashier is desperately trying to catch a breath 5 feet away... This is truly unacceptable!
Always a good experience. Come here often and the place is always well managed and employees are very friendly.
The perfect convienent store for residents of Sudden Valley. The store is very clean and taken care if and they offer a variety of snacks and basic dairy foods. They also sell dinner/lunch items they make in store, which are tasty. I reccomend this place overall. Masks are required to enter at this time.
We just tried the breakfast and it was all great!!! The wild mushroom wraps are awesome! Loved the country fried steak and biscuits too!
It’s so homey and comfortable and the staff are always super nice! The cooked food does take a bit and the prices are a little higher but it’s a well made store, also the bathroom are SUPER clean and fresh smelling! Good job!
I was working nearby and went in for a sandwich. Little did I know I was going to be treated to the BEST pulled Pork sandwich I had ever had! Order the Big Kahuna A toasted bun with a pineapple slaw, Deep fried Onion rings and a large helping of Kahlua Pork. The textures, balance of flavors and portions were on point. This sandwich was a little over $9.00 Cant wait to have another one. Thank you
Fabulous market. This little place has almost everything!
Always friendly, and nice to talk with - the classic small town deli-mart feeling. The make some extremely good breakfast burritos & croissants that are easy to get addicted to.
Very nice and clean, great selection thats always stocked. The problem I find is with the greediness of the ownership. Why you would want to take advantage of a community that is going to support you no matter what due to no competition near you is VERY confusing to me.The prices are marked up anywhere from 70%-100% (and thats generous) compared to 7 miles down the road at ANY store. I find myself walking out everytime I think Ill make a quick stop. INSANE how greedy some businesses can be.
Hella rude... Ive lived here for years and feel blindsided.
The valley market has good customer service! I have never been upset there and it is a convenient place
Called and asked if they had avocados, Elijah said they do so that’s pretty neat.
Great convenience store/market that doesnt fall into the standard cliche of other convenience stores. They have a good enough selection of groceries to keep you from having to go in town and many items are in line price-wise as Haggen and Safeway. They also sell Hemplers for only 50 cents more than at Haggen, Oregon based Lochmead Farms ice cream that is in a HALF GALLON for $6.99 with a dozen flavors and they are good! They also have a good selection of grill items, supplies as well as the basic grocery fare at the standard convenience store prices. Very large beer cave and wine selection as well. They also carry frozen premium chicken, beef, and fish in their frozen case and their deli is very good on the standard items as well as very good juicy burgers and sandwiches. Gas prices are in the upper half of what you pay in Bellingham but not the highest. They are open 6:00 am to 11:00 pm every day and you also get really good friendly service ALL THE TIME. Considering its not a standard generic chain convenience store and caters to the community especially so you can get what you need to hold you over til you head into town next time. Also they have more than enough parking even when busy.
