An amazing selection of natural fibers for all variety uses -- knitting, crochet, weaving, cross-stich. Incredible staff who are friendly and willing to help you if you run into problems. Free classes, primarily for beginners, but experienced crafters show up to get help with problems. The store has facilitated a wonderful community.

This store is tied for first of the best fiber arts store Ive been in (the other store being makers mercantile). They have SO much. Its not just yarn. I found a sashiko section, felting, tatting, weaving, darning, and more! I got my first set of lace bobbins from them and Im super excited. The staff are friendly and with the exception of the darning loom, their prices are reasonable. I wish I could remember the cashiers name when I went there yesterday because she was a delight. She pointed me to some local bobbin lacemaker clubs and I actually found one near me! I had to stop once I knew I was spending $100 because if not reigned in I would have spent $500 there, easy. Will definitely return. I may be an hour and a half away, but I will make my way back to this place!

A wedding at a yarn shop!!!? Our daughter had her wedding at Northwest Yarns last Sunday evening and it was perfect....even complete with organ music and a yarn bouquet! Could not have asked for more!I love this shop...only thing that would make it better would be if it was in TX near me!! Their yarns are beautiful and so unique!!

Everytime my grandma and I come in here, she and I always leave with nice yarn, fun ideas, new knowledge, and smiles on our faces. The staff is super friendly with not just the knitters, but with the people tagging along as well. One of my favorite stores!

Im from Vancouver BC and popped in this sweet shop to get a new exp. in a LYS. John was so helpful, friendly, and clearly passionate about his job and projects. It was such a great experience and I found the cutest car buttons for my nephews sweater as well as some lovely Seahawks coloured yarn to knit up for an expectant father/fan. Super wonderful!! They have very knowledgeable and kind staff that are willing to answer a billion questions. The selection of roving is absolutely gorgeous and affordable. The amount and different types of yarn astonished me THERE ARE SO MANY!! They also dont judge if you have to come by more than once in a day cause you forgot something or broke a needle lol

As a young but experienced knitter, I sometimes find yarn store staff either ignore me or treat me like a newbie, and often the yarn stocked is not to modern tastes. This is NOT the case with Northwest Yarns! It is a beautifully stocked shop with lots of options as far as yarn and notions. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they even have some nice locally made yarns which I loved. I even heard the gentleman working tell another customer that they teach free beginner classes for knitting and crochet, which is super cool. It is a bit of a drive for me to get here, but I will certainly be back soon!

Stopped in on a whim and browsed for a while. Not super experienced but looking for a new crochet project. The staff was super friendly and helpful--gave me a pattern to try and helped me pick out the right materials for it. Lots of beautiful yarn to pick from including stuff that wasnt super expensive. Airy, inviting atmosphere and cute in-house dogs. Would definitely return for the classes if I were staying in the area.
