Staff is awesome. I break my cars a lot, and enjoy being in the store. Staff has a wealth of knowledge, and there is zero sales pressure. I purchased my slash 4x4 and multiple crawler bodies. Lots of paint and parts. I keep comming back too.That said I give it 4 starts becuase I wish there were more parts on hand. I have a traxxax maxx and widemaxx arms are not in stock, drive cup screws are not in stock. Tekno 12 mm hexs are not carried. They have almost zero Arma parts and I really want to get an Arma mojavi.Its impossible to carry everything, but i think it would be awesome if they uped their parts game.

Top level customer service! I ordered some parts to complete my TRX-4 Defender and through no fault of Hobbytown, DHL and Canada Post lost my Order. After a quick call to customer service, Josh from customer service had my ordered refunded and reordered. Thanks Josh and Hobbytown for helping this Canadian get back to crawling!! Aaron (manager) knows his stuff! Glenn (owner) has always been very helpful and attentive. They stock a wide variety of hobby related things and its always exciting to walk in to see the newest and greatest in R.C. They can repair anything that you can possibly break and give tons of tips and information regarding your purchase. If they dont have it in stock they are more than willing to special order which only comes within a few days...much better than ordering online since I prefer having a human face to communicate with. Will always support local! You guys are awesome :)

Nice place and very helpful staff, but minimal stock that is on display. I would recommend asking.. It just might not be out & viable.

At hobby town it is very well set up as well as easy to find although getting into the parking lot can be confusing. The people that work there are very nice and polite and have perty good knowledge on all sections of the store from big rcs to planes, to model kits and down to diorama products, definitely recommend hobby town, if they dont have what your looking for, they will order it in for you

Very helpful, decent prices in comparison with other local (Canadian) stores, and even Amazon/online. Great selection of Traxxas parts and kits, and a lot of other stuff, too. Very helpful and quite knowledgeable in terms of RC cars and trucks.

They have all the parts stocked you might need, and will sell you the best (not always most expensive--Ive been talked out of it) piece to get you on your way. Kid friendly atmosphere, and will continue to go here for repairs for our Traxxas truck.

Walked in with my kids remote controlled Traxxas truck in hand. Wouldnt run. Had no idea what I was doing. A young man helped me immediately and I was on my way out the door with exactly what I needed to make the truck go in less than 10 mins. Very happy customer. Very happy kid. Will be back! :)

Great people, they dont always have what i need in stock, but thats to be expected. that said, they are always willing to special order those parts if they are available. would recommend to anyone.

Bought a high end Traxxas truck and upgraded battery and charger pre managers recommendations. Battery lasted three or four uses than dead take it in for a return and manager refused to exchange or warranty.I also bought a high end drone the best they had. Employee convinced us to buy a smaller drone to learn to fly and again extra batteries. The little drone wouldnt fly total trash again refused to exchange or replace. Stated it not his problem... Dont waste your time here to somewhere they stand behind the products they sell.. Ridiculous... Out close to 200$ from there recommendations on extra products..

Selection on rc cars was minamal reccomend if your experienced to order online at there website. Mostly traxxas cars and trucks some planes and drones. Lots of model cars and toys. Totally kid friendly. Get a new toy and go play outside with it type place.

I spent 206$ on a RC Car... its a great product. But if you dont know anything about this stuff... do your research before you buy it. The salesmen will take your money and tell you after that it only has a car charger or many other inconvenient things. Just some advice for newcomers.

Every one i have came in contact with was great better parts selection would be nice other than that its all good exept for the chubby guy with lisp he knows nothing and has zero experience unless you know what you need and he is working just walk away to get my parts ordered other than ringing me up and filling out a sheet of paper i was doing his job

My first experience was not stellar. I asked for an RC plane for my 6yo daughter, accompanying me, and said it needed to be slow, suitable for a beginner (showed him the 6yo), and able to take a bump: You know: something that wont break the first time it hits the ground.I purchased a Horizon HBZ4400 Cub S kit on the salesmans recommendation (it had been HIS first RC plane). Two minutes into the maiden flight, I nosed into the ground, breaking the plane. Inspection revealed the foam fuselage in the area of the motor mount and nose is very light (see the pic.) Although the RC receiver offers beginner flight modes, the plane itself cannot withstand the most common beginner experience: the forward crash.I returned to the store to seek remedy. There was to be no refund: Once flown, planes cannot be returned. The salesman offered a replacement fuselage at cost. Caveat Emptor.

Sad to say. Not to well stocked or knowledgeable. Maybe they’ll get there in a bit.Follow up. The issue I had was in fact probably a too advanced one for the store. I was looking for Lipo balance charging parts such as parallel boards. Just got a blank stare back as to what I was talking about.Also I had a higher expectation for accessory parts for something like traxxas 1/16 revo.

Nice manager but unfortunately seems to have next to no RC parts. Youre better off just ordering online.It isnt impossible to stock a lot of commom parts in a store, go down to Napa auto and theyll give you a brake caliper for your make and model of car.Part of Napa store is run like a warehouse with a computerized inventory, and thats how it should work here, in my opinion, if they want to capture a market dominated by online sales.

WORST SHOPPING EXP. IN 54 YEARS OF LIFE drove from lynden to bellingham to purchase adhesive after finding store on internet. parked in front of door and went in. one clerk and one customer . walked over to rack of glue that was 1/2 behind the end of counter clerk was standing behind and there were some bottles on shelf. thought id shop until my turn. clerk calls out what do you want . no hello, smile nothing, were out and youre not allowed behind counter technically he said . I was standing more or less at the end of the counter rather than behind but i moved directly in front and walked towards the two men. asked if he was with a customer or visiting with friend or was he going serve two people at the same time? he replied I COULD ASK YOU TO LEAVE unfortunately my reaction was to say I COULD tell u to f-off. (which i regret) i asked him why he was acting this way and was there a manager. no response. treated my son and I like we were thieves. had to request info 3 times for manager before compliance when he gave me a card. told him very unprofessional and asked again why he acted so. no response. Never been so disrespected in my life. I own a tile and marble company for 35 years and have had 125 employees over that time. would fire such an individual. have not talked to manager yet but will and will report after what happened. felt very challenged and uncomfortable to even look around as i also wanted to purchase a plastic car model to build with my 5 year old grandson . ( was not with me ) my 23 year old son was with me and I had to make him hush as he was getting angry at the the disrespect. Only thing i can think of is our family had the flu and i had not shaved or been out of house for 3 days . irrelevant but I cant think of anything else other than he is a GAURD CLERK SHOOING AWAY CUSTOMERS. I stated that he did not know what i wanted so how did he know they were out? no response. first time i had visited store and last if this clerk remains . was sunday 1/30/17 at 4 pm. Curtis Allcock

Horrible customer service from this local store owner. Im a local business owner and I always support local first but this trip in to return a product suggested by his team that wasnt in fact what I needed at all was not returnable even though it was returned in exact same condition when I bought it. Ill be ordering online from now on and Ill get a product thats not marked up past actual retail price.

They always try and help me but never have the parts on hand for my stampede 4x4 sad.

One guy that works there is super helpful, the other seems like helping you out is a hassle for him...Have an ok supply of building supplies but not so much on the more recent electronics like flight control boards, long range systems, antennas, etc.
