I am happy to report that I had issue with an instrument that I purchased through Guitar Center. They were very responsive and made everything right! Glad to say I will be using them again in the future for musical purchases. I have to say they went out of their way and were very communicative once they realized a problem had occurred.

Been coming here since the grand opening, and to make a good review short, these guys here are awesome, very chill company, some are knowledgeable with instruments too (all depending on who you ask), and nicest thing about these guys is they arent pushy if youre looking to buy an item or two. Fairly honest bunch as well, which is a plus I like about this location.All in all, full 5/5, would definitely keep coming back here. 👍

The guitar center is a bit on the smaller side but they have a good enough selection and a friendly staff.they have an awesome selection of guitars and a huge electronic music/ recording supply selection if you are into that sort of thing. Honestly not a great drum selection though.

I came in to buy a couple Christmas presents and everyone was very helpful. The girl who helped me was named Christa and she was very knowledgeable and friendly!

Bought my mandolin here and the guy actually seemed to know his stuff. Good mandolin and affordable also

Review of all my previous experiences here has been generally great. My only major gripes are things that come down to GC policy (pricing of used gear vs modified trade-ins) with a couple minor exceptions. Ive purchased quite a few items at this location with next to no issue (and returned items without issue as well).I docked a star because on my last visit, they had a new guitar that very clearly had a significant cosmetic defect (entire clear coat was clouded as if contaminated with moisture). When I pointed out the defect, the rep said that the manufacturer wouldnt accept the warranty claim from GC and that the owner would have to file for the warranty after purchase. Ive owned 7 guitars from that manufacturer and Ive honestly not heard of such a thing. It may have been true but to push that responsibility on the customer at full MSRP seemed like a giant red flag.

One of the smaller Guitar Centers Ive been in. Due to Covid-19, youre required to have an employee follow you and disinfect things after you touch it, so I didnt bother trialing anything. Their instrument selection was pretty minimal, but its a decent enough store.

Bought guitar online. Didnt realize until I got home they gave the dinged up one at full price.

Really great store with good management and great employees, no pressure sales people.

Walked in not really knowing what I needed to get some speakers working for my computer. The employee pointed out some cables that would work for my setup and answered all the questions I had about them. He was very friendly/helpful, and the cable worked great! Im glad the guy at Best Buy recommended them 😂👍🏼

Guitar center is my go to place to get just about anything musical that I need. I buy all my guitar strings there. They have good sales there. On Presidents day weekend they offered 3 sets of strings for $10. My girlfriend gets her drum sticks and drum heads there. They have good service with nice and knowledgeable people.

I received really friendly and knowledgeable service. I was assisted by Adam and another guy whose name I unfortunately did not catch - both of them were very helpful with information about the instrument and they also helped me figure out travel logistics so I could take my new guitar on my trip to Ireland this month. I hadnt been in before but I know where Ill be going from now on for all my musical needs. Big thank you to you both if you ever read this ☺

These guys have been great over the years. The store manager was especially helpful, recently. I hear they have a great bass teacher as well!

Its a nice place, friendly staff, variety of equipment and in a good location. 4 star cause the staff was going extra and beyond to answer my questions and lied to me about my guitar playing skills to be on par with legends! (its a joke) Good spot for anyone looking for instruments or equipment!

Do NOT waste your money on lessons here. I can give you contact info on trustworthy places to get lessons. They had us pay a fee to get times scheduled. We paid for lessons in advance and scheduled not knowing our sports schedule. I called over a month in advance to cancel. I received cancellation notices via email so I thought we were good. I call back when we were ready to resume lessons and the instructor said left and it had all of our lessons used up. They claim there’s nothing they could do. If you do have to desperately do lessons here pay as you go rather than giving them any money in advance as their books are shoddy.

Friendly and helpful staff, I even got a free shirt out of my visit! Definitely coming back for all my instrumental needs!! 10/10

I like guitar center because they can get what you want and will match internet prices. They dont have a great keyboard showroom but its fun to drop by sometimes and see what they do have. Buying from a local store, especially when it comes to music gear, is nice because if there is a problem or you need to return the item there isnt any hassle.

Its a great place! Im Canadian and I needed a pickup installed in my guitar, but I live in a small town and the closest place to us would be Richmond or Surrey. Nowhere was open so we called in, and they had many openings. They are so nice and talented there, not to mention their inventory is pretty good! Im very impressed!

Not quite as big as other Guitar Centers, resulting in a very lacking selection. But lets be honest, if you know what you want youll order it online anyways, or have them ship it to the store. Theyve got good prices, and the store is clean and organized. The punk rock meets big box manager employees will always be awkward no matter which guitar center you go into and this location is no exception. Luckily theyll leave you alone for the most part after the initial friendly greeting.

Ordered replacement cords for an electric drum set. Drove 45 minutes to pick them up and they will not give them to me because I dont have the cc used to place the order. When placing the order I was told ID would be needed when picking up, nothing else.

What a joke. Ordered for pickup in store for an item listed in stock. Called the store and had them set the order aside. Drove feom Whidbey Island all the way up and Came in at night, order wasnt there. Item wasnt even available in house because their inventory was incorrect. Wouldnt swap for another in stock, couldnt even cancel the order. DO NOT DEPEND ON THESE CLOWNS IF YOU HAVE A GIG, VERY UNRELIABLE.

Horrible service. Went in asking about a rack bag and got a condescending response from one staff member because he didnt know what they were. He asked his co-worker if he knew what a rack bag was (expecting him to agree that I was out to lunch) but the second fellow said he did. He told me he was busy at the moment and asked me to wait and he could order one for me. 10 minutes later, he was still talking to friends visiting the store. I waited nearby hoping he would notice. He did, but kept on talking. Many minutes later, I walked out. Just lost my business for good.

I wish Id caught the name of the gentleman that helps me so I could post it here. Guitar Center took such good care of me and was able to work and get me fully functional in an emergency gear failure situation.

There is one very helpful person here (katelin) and the rest of the workers just kinda seem...meh. They only carry one violin also which was disappointing. Otherwise, this place has a lot of other instrumental options.

Had a five-star experience getting a simple starter acoustic guitar today. I found exactly what I was looking for. The salesperson, Mars, was responsive, quick (I was out of there within half an hour, the way I like it), and very genuine. Ill be back for sure!

Friendly staff, Not the greatest in a lot of areas, and sometimes they poorly communicate policies regarding certain product returns. Find the right person first and then deal with them and things end up okay. They always push for the extra insurance for product protection, but it is never worth it. Just be careful with what you buy and dont use it as a dinner serving tray and you wont need insurance.

I called from across the country (North Carolina) about a used bass at this store with no photo posted. Chris was great got me lots of photos and asked about specifics I wanted to know. Described it spot on and made the transaction super smooth. Bass is even better than expected. I have had some issues with shipping damage on used equipment before buying online but not this time! Never seen one packed this good. Great customer service, product and excellent packing. These guys are on their game.

I really hate when people write reviews that something didnt take to there time or what they were looking for. This is Bellingham. Guitar center is really the only place for affordable setups so expect time on repairs. Also this is a town not a city, expect lower inventory. But also, expect friendly service and help every time. Before you review think about it. This place is pretty great given where we are.

No one is ever around the help us, I come here often to look at things and getting an associate to help you is like pulling teeth. I have bought quite a bit here, and usually the best way to learn about the product is too look it up online as no one here will help. Another stupid thing they do is have things on thr floor that cant be sold yet due to a police hold. If it cant be sold that day, please dont have it on the floor.

Alot of people dont know they have music lessons. Have a pretty nice studio area as well.

Smaller inventory but it is the smallest GC Ive been to. Prices are fair on new & used. Customer service is friendly and engaging...IF you are able to corner a sales associate that is not incessantly carrying on a personal conversation long enough to acknowledge your presence there.

The insurance thing, yup....they did and i didnt. pretty easy. i have had nothing but great experiences here mainly from this drummer dude named Alex. cool cat with some knowledge. i never get the full court press here. they greet and leave me alone until i ask for them to help. kind of like its suppose to be. anyway, cool store good people. rock on people.

Went in about a week and a half after they first opened for business about 12 noon with a friend. We were greeted. Did a slow lap around the store- decent low-end to high-end selection. In the 20-30 minutes we were there we were offered assistance 6x.... By the fourth or fifth person I was ready to tell them to go away. The acoustic room (Taylor, Martin, Guild, Misc) was impressive... Please train your staff better to be attentive but not pressing a hard sale and to be aware of when customers have already been assisted multiple times!.. Find something else to do during the slow times... BTW- do you really need 10 people working on a slow morning shift??

I went here to look at mandolins and they only carried three types. While the staff were nice, I feel that they could have been more helpful/knowledgeable (although maybe they are more with guitars).

Go here especially for the Luthier team! From guitar repair and mandolin re-stringing to uke work and cleaning, this place is for you. You get what you pay for and Guitar Center in Bellingham is more than worth it :-)

Its a chain store with a mediocre selection of stuff. The staff are nice enough. If you dont have time to go somewhere else its a place to for basics.

Im happy with it. Its Bellingham. They have a lot to offer for a Bellingham store. The people there are nice and helpful but they try really hard to get you to buy something. Not everyone goes into a music shop to buy an instrument that very day. All in all though, Im very pleased.

Its a guitar center, great friendly staff, lists to choose from. Can even order online if they dont have it in stock.

These guys were fantastic, I unfortunately had to sell a sentimental old guitar which they made painless, and while my first memory at this location is sad, I wouldnt hesitate to send anyone there looking to buy or sell instruments.

Nice variety of instruments, offering choices from beginner to professional. Some product arrangement seems a bit random but the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

I recently bought a new keyboard for our family and some stickers that mark the keys for training and they smeared an hour later, and they claimed to be reusable on the package. My wife and i returned and asked for an exchange,replacement, or refund and was offered only tape and a sharpie for sale. IT WAS OBVIOUSLY A FAULTY PRODUCT MR.MANAGER. I just dropped a grand in your store, crumby service

I needed some parts for a Pioneer mixer and had some speaker troubles. When I came in, Alex helped me by figuring out what was wrong with my speaker (a broken amplifier), and found the parts I needed and ordered them from Pioneer.When the parts came, I even got some money back because of a price change. The people at this guitar center were very helpful and friendly.

This place is great. For those of you that complain they constantly try to sell you something, of course they do. Its a business, if they dont sell then it will not make a profit and it would close down. Any business wants you to buy when you come in. but these people are friendly, helpful,and very knowledgeable. the selection is more than adequate. Sure theyre not going to have every guitar known, but for most people if you can not find a guitar here that you like, then you must be one picky individual. great atmosphere, they let you try out guitars to your hearts content.

This guitar center is pretty small, but the staff was great.

Although not one of Guitar Centers larger stores, they have a good selection of guitars and other instruments. The only reason I give only 4 stars is that the customer service can be spotty.
