Just purchased my first bike in a long time from here. The process was super easy and straightforward. Decided to finance it which took minutes to get approved, took the bike on a test drive and went back and picked it up a few days later. They answered all my questions and I have to go back for some parts to lower it but I really enjoyed my experience here. I’ll be definitely buy more bikes here in the future. Don’t tell the wife.
I recently purchased a Kawasaki youth quad here. Shawn was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Everything about my experience was very positive.
Really friendly & helpful staff, both service and parts/showroom folks. I bought a KTM motorbike from them and return it regularly for service, and I can honestly say that I enjoy those regular trips back. One of the guys back in Parts went waaaaaaay out of his way to find a pair of hard-bags with mounting hardware for my cycle, which I had been looking for (fruitlessly, in this pandemic-shortage time) for what seems like forever. Highly recommended if youre looking for a fair, local new & used motorbike dealer or service shop.
These guys are awesome. The sales department has been great at finding what I and my family need and the service department has been incredibly helpful and flexible, even declining payment and tips for a smaller job I needed help with on short notice. This is one place where it really pays to be a return customer. Treat them well and they treat you well. It’s what small businesses should look like. I will be spending my money here whenever possible.
Sara in the service department went above and beyond to make sure that I had my wheels and new tires back to me in one day! Everyone on the parts department is great, and gave me a great price on new tires. Really happy with the customer service at MBMS!
Good service. The mechanics know what they are doing. Selection is thin, but that might be the normal supply chain shortages most businesses are facing right now.
I came in a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend to get him ready for the motocross season out at Hannegan Speedway, we worked with Sara and she was incredibly helpful and really knew what she was talking about! We will be coming back for sure to work with her again. She made the whole process easy and seamless. Thank you Sara!
What a bunch of great awesome guys... especially Steve Baker salesman.. I went there excited and I left very very happy with my brand new 2021 Teryx Kawasaki krx 1000.. and a big😁😁😁😁😁
I bought a Kawasaki KLX230 in May 2021.COVID caused shortages across the board, and with the high demand, some dealers got greedy, charging extra delivery fees. Not so with Mt. Baker Motos. They charged me the same destination fee Kawasaki charges them, and their setup and doc fees were the standard pre-pandemic fees. What surprised me is the efficiency with which they handled my transaction. They got all the papers, including the financing, ready before I arrived, so I only had to sign the papers. The bike was prepped and washed by the time I arrived, too.Morgan, my salesperson, also helped me load the bike on the trailer and secure it for transport. I was in and out in less than an hour.I have bought about 20 bikes in my years of riding, and this was the quickest transaction by far.My experience with their parts department consisted only of me buying a couple of oil filters, but the dude at the counter was polite and helpful.Based on my experience I recommend Mt. Baker Moto-Sports for your motorcycle purchase.
Great Motorcycle buying experience!! bought my first bike this past weekend and Steve was great in assisting and answering all my questions and concerns
I am new to the world of motorsports and the team at Mt. Baker Moto-Sports is always super helpful in answering any questions I might have as a new rider. Great local option
Ktm and Kawasaki dealership. Good selection of gear and very friendly people.
Very organized, clean and friendly ppl
Working with Morgan was super easy. She showed us options, gave us plenty of information and was fun to work with. We are happy to be buying two new bikes from her and will do it again! If youre looking for a place to buy a new toy, this is it.
What an excellent dealership to work with. They gave me a great deal on a great bike and provided a level of customer service that I never expected. I generally dread having to deal with dealerships when buying bikes but Steve and the team at Mt. Baker were really a pleasure to work with. They were the first and only dealer to respond to my online inquirey with a personal email trying to answer my questions immediately along with Steve sending me his cell number and telling me that i can call or text him. From there we were able to strike a deal for the price I asked for, then they handled all the details and paperwork like true pros. I could not be happier with my new FS450 from Mt. Baker and they truely made my purchase experience a great one. Thank you Steve!
If you are a woman and come in looking for a piece of filter foam, expect to be burrated with questions and talked down to - because it cant possibly be that you know what youre talking about. Cory the parts manager is happy to help with this experience.
I came in to my baker motor sports Friday feb 19 2021, and today feb 24th.My attempt was to purchase an atv for my business. The sales associate ( Morgan) was the rudest and the most aggressive I have ever experienced in 53 yrs of living. I thought I was being interrogated by the authorities. I was very disappointed with her over aggressive questioning. This young lady need anger Mgmt training or a new line of work. I even apologized to her as if I may have possibly provoked her into a defensive mind set. Nevertheless I reminded her that she is in fact a customer service rep/ sales associate and that a request for an application to discuss with my business partner isn’t a crime. Very very disappointed with the service and I do understand why the product isn’t moving as fast as it should. The customer who is buying the product is always right, it’s there cash that pays her salary. I’m still deciding if I will even go back or just drive 30 minutes to Skagit Polaris out of dissatisfaction for the treatment that I recieved. It will be the best experience or the worst experience. Now I understand why the reviews are 5 stars or 1 star and not much in between. Thanks
My husband and I recently bought a bike from these guys. We are both in car sales and were absolutely blown away by how great these guys are. If your in the market for a bike, come and see these guys! They know what they are doing. Zero pressure, all of the knowledge, and very professional. Thanks Morgan!!!
Prices online arent the actual prices of the machines. MBMS was rude (backhanded commentseluding I could not afford the particular machine) and unwilling to negotiate. Ended up buying the same machine $4000 cheaper from a different dealer. I would not recommend buying from MBMS.
This review is from my experiences with the Parts Department over the past 5 weeks, stemming from early December 2020 to January 2021.Any motorcycle enthusiast, regardless of motorcycle category, appreciates a communicative parts department and parts specialist. As a young man, prior to entering military service, I worked as a parts technician for a major auto-maker, so I know what it is like to deal with the bizarre, mundane, wishy-washy and serious customer inquiries and purchases.Josh S of Mt. Baker Moto-Sports has kept me informed by g-mail and phone calls throughout 5 weeks of back and forth inquiries and suggestions, including shipping that would be cost effective.Living in SoCal, the hub of Motorcycling in the USA, one would think I could get what I wanted right here...After several local inquiries, no other shop could deliver what I wanted...So I found a previously unknown shop some 1,200 miles away in Washington State that is Mt. Baker Moto-Sports to get me what I desired. I am very grateful to Josh as he was instrumental and smooth throughout the process. Cory S. also assisted some during this transaction and I appreciate that as well.Good, quality personnel and the shops they work for, are not easy to come by. I have had several poor experiences from local shops in the SoCal region and now 3 of those are out of business. Personnel make or fragment and break a shop. Josh and Cory are 2 exemplary employees that gave excellent customer service and followed up and through with profound communication. THANKS! I will update this review when my order arrives.UPDATE: Received both items I ordered on Saturday, Jan. 16 during AMA SX Season Opener at Houston 1...It was clearly evident right away that packaging and taping were OUTSTANDING! There were inordinate angles for these items and I appreciate the attentiveness that was given with strongly securing both items for shipping. Thanks again Josh, Cory and Mt. Baker Moto-Sports...This set-up is very sharp looking and stands out. Youve made me very happy and grateful. I just might order a second set-up. Thanks again, much appreciated!
These guys rock! Mr. Baker is the best!
Staff very nice bought my bike there. Big thankyou to the staff for the experience
Awesome experience and great guys. Ive bought a lot of bikes in my life and can easily say that my purchase through Mt. Baker Moto-Sports was the best. I knew exactly what I wanted and worked with Josh throughout the week on getting a deal straightened out. Extremely knowledgeable, professional and i never felt pressured. He really went to bat for me and got it done - I even bugged him on his cell phone after hours and he was super responsive. I had to drive up from Everett to pick the bike up on a Saturday morning and when I got there, the bike was set up, had gas in it and ready to go. I was in and out of the finance office in less than 10 minutes and had my keys. Josh came out and walked me through the bike and answered all of my questions. Helped me load it up in my truck and I was on the road. All of this happened with my 3 year old in tow which was amazing as little man didnt get bored once - if you have kids, you know what I mean! Highly recommend contacting these guys first if youre in the market for a bike as they do business the right way and made the purchase fun and seamless.
Great experience dealing with Woody and the rest of the team. Great price and sales experience. The secondary support from the parts guys was great as well. They let me borrow a trailer to haul the side by side home. The young fellow that helped me load it up was great as well. I would not hesitate do recommend and do business with this group again. A+++++
Amazing crew and top notch service!
Great small town feel. No pressure sales. I appreciate the no frills need to impress you approach to my sales experience. Thank you Steve Baker and crew for treating me right. Gonna love my new bike.
Friendly staff, helps when u ask. Competitive pricing when compared online. Even has a sale rack and some used bikes
Bought a bike after speaking to Corey over the phone. It was well worth the drive. Great prices, knowledgeable friendly staff, and an overall awesome experience. Steve has a ton of cool stories about racing, if you ask. They had everything I wanted in stock.
Found something I wanted to buy and was going over what a payment would be and was informed another sales person sold it from under me. Owner didn’t care. Not even an apology! I recommend supporting another business that has better morals! Steer clear of here!
Friendly and helpful customer service!
My 2003 Yamaha R1 was not holding a charge. I called a few motorcycle shops in the area and Mt. Baker Moto-Sports was able to get me in right away. They found the problem and fixed it. Bike is running great. I appreciate all the efforts Corey put in to making it a pleasant experience.
All around a good place to buy toys from. Excellent customer service. I have bought 2 motorcycles from these guys and I would definitely buy another one. The service department needs to be able to fix motorcycles though and not just service them but actually fix them! But I am sure they have there reasons why they dont.
I really appreciated the service I received. I was looking for a particular helmet in an extra small (now you understand my difficulty!). I had tried at a previous store and they werent willing to give me the time of day. Seeing as this is a rather masculine sport and Im not new to this realm, I was expecting some sort of guff about being female and young, but not blown off like I was at the other retailer. Mt Baker provided me with excellent and totally unbiased service. Going in the attendant knew I was just looking for sizing and had found a better price online and he still was willing to help. They ended up matching the price so I was extremely happy to order it through them. Thank you!
Absolute worst customer service from a power sports shop. When you call to try and order a part they act like youre a burden to them. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Look elsewhere for your power sports needs
Wow. Great people there. Bought a new ktm 390 and was treated so great. I would refer anybody there for a new motorcycle for sure. Great selection of bikes, jet skis, side by sides, quads, and accessories. Pretty good helmet display and great selection of clothes and gear.
I was very impressed with the service manager Chelsea W. after my bike developed a mechanical issue on the highway nearby. This was day-one of my cross country motorcycle trip, so you can imagine how frustrated I was. After Googling motorcycle repair I found Mt Baker Motorsports. A quick call explaining my situation and Chelsea had my bike back on the road within the hour... and this was a Saturday! A very good experience with these folks and I wish them the best!
Got a new tire mounted and when I picked my bike up the chain was so Tite it wrecked my O ring chain never again. Now Im finding because my chain being so tight after getting my tire mounted its caused damage to my engine I dont even have 10,000 miles on my bike and its messed up.
Nice place. Looking forward to returning.
These guys are great! Excellent selection of KTM stuff.
Bought a quad CForec600 with snowplow package Love it. Thank you.
Convenient location but poor customer service in all departments.
Don’t go for parts unless you have a ktm. The blonde haired kid at the parts counter will argue with you to no end and not even entertain the fact that some parts are universal. Bar-ends, bar risers, grips, tires, etc. Even if you don’t think it’s going to work put your phone down and at least compare. Good thing ordering online is so easy which is a shame because I would rather buy local.
Was test driving a side by side. Told them we wanted to purchase it and apparently they sold it as we were test driving. Talked to the owner and he said “well they put money down on it” Horrible way to run a business. Won’t be returning!!
Great service and sales staff. This business is going to new heights under new ownership. Highly recommend for all current and future motorsports enthusiasts,
See Steve Baker for any of your moto sports needs.
Not much of a selection in used bikes, staff is a bit rude and gruff. Too bad they wont earn our business.
I brought my bike in to have the rear tire replaced. They had it done by the end of the day. Good service and fair price.
Went in looking for a cover for my bicycle but they had higher quality goods than I needed. Havent been in here for a while they have Kawasaki KTM and Suzuki Powersports. Look like they had a bunch of those dune buggy off-road golf carts out front guessing in the 20k+ range. Lots of high performance motorcycles for Street and off-road. If I needed service on my 50cc scooter I assume they would change a belt on it, even though its a honda and they dont sell honda, I think they would work on it. But maybe you have to call and see if they will service other brands then they sell. For General accessories like grips and riding wear like gloves and helmets they can outfit you. They also sell kids quads, kids motorcycles and strider balance bikes. Almost got the ktm binkies for the baby
Great customer service and selection in products. They are my go to for my motorcycle needs whether its parts, oils, lubricants, gear, great tire prices, and have bought all my bikes from them. Great staff who are willing to help you with anything you need. Have learned a lot about the moto world from these guys. Support your local shop and get awesome service in return!
Mr. Steve Woody Woodward helped me out today and might I say, he absolutely ruined my experience here at Mt. Baker Moto. He tried talking to me like I didnt know what I was talking about even tho Ive been riding for almost 3 years. He didnt think I was capable of riding the Kawasaki 636 and refused to help me out basically with starting a credit application for the bike, instead he tried turning me on to smaller bikes that are smaller than the bike I currently ride. Oh and get this, the man doesnt even ride a motorcycle himself and he sells motorcycles lol. I dont come to a place of business with cash in hand to be treated like a 13 year old, I think Ill head down to Skagit or Everett power sports!!
Steve Baker was straight forward and a pleasure to deal with. I appreciated the dealing
Best place to buy toys in whatcom county, Steve & Woody can take care of any of your Motorsports needs
Came in to buy a touring class motorcycle, got nothing but the run around when it came to the purchase. Highly recommend avoiding this dealership.
Great place and talking to Steve about his racing days
They are the only dealer within 100 miles of me that sells KTM, I havent bought anything there YET but their pricing certainly has my wheels turning on when or how to get my butt in there to buy one. :)Nice staff, selection of KTM is very good. Kawasaki and Yamaha are also sold there.
EDIT: Have been in contact with manager since posting review. After reviewing experience and cause of bike issue(Carburetor related) they have helped correct the experience.Very unpleasant experience. Dropped bike off for an oil change and a chain bracket replacement. Was contacted 4 hours after riding bike to shop and informed bike no longer ran after they had performed oil change and Nothing else. They denied ever doing anything to the bike that would have caused this issue and proceeded to charge me to troubleshoot. After an hour of their mechanic troubleshooting they still couldnt find what is causing the issue and wanted to charge another hour for pulling carbs and seeing if that will work. At this point i have absolutely zero doubt that their mechanic messed up my bike during his inspection while performing the oil change and they just wanted money. I will never return to this location and would recommend everyone look elsewhere for any bike work needing to be done.TLDR: I spent over $200 for an oil change and for them to break my motorcycle and refuse to admit it.
We have bought from this establishment on two separate occasions one a Kawasaki Ninja the other a Suzuki SV. Sales and service was excellent throughout the entire sale process. This last week Ive called twice inquiring about two Kawasaki klrs and if I could ordered two salesman never got back to me. So today I decided to stop by the showroom my son and I walked around for approximately 15 minutes looked at the bike they had in stock. Throughout this entire process I wasnt approached once nor did I see staff on the sales floor I was ready to order I got frustrated left and went to Cycle Barn Im super bummed I love buying local.
Friendly service. I will be back for sure.
Brought my 74 cl360 in to true and balance the rims. Had the bike back next day and the difference was night and day. Thanks guys!
I have always been very impressed with the great product knowledge and punctuality of all of the guys at Mt Baker Moto sports. Keep up the great work.
Shop charged $140 bucks to mount and balance tires. On top of that we stood around for 35 minutes looking at gear and bikes and not once did anyone help us. Shame its the only shop in the area, they seem to not care.
NOT A PLACE I WOULD RECOMMENDI took in tires to have mounted on new rims. Picked up a few days later. When I took them home to put them back on I noticed there was something inside rattling around. Almost like a rock. So I drove back to have them fix there mistake. When I told them about the problem they told me they will have someone look at it when they can. Not I’m sorry for the inconvenience let me fix this. Just, oh ok when someone has a some free time they will look at it. Normally that would not have been a big deal, but I was leaving the following day to go on a ride with a group. They were made aware of this. Still no apology or anything showing that they cared about the situation. That problem unfortunately made it so I could not join the ride we had been planning. Poor customer service in that respect. The sales staff isnt up to par either. From my experience it depends on how you look to them. I say this because I came in ready to buy a new bike. I was dirty after a particularly dirty day at work last year and was not treated seriously at all. Frustrated I left. A few weeks ago I went in with my two children and there mother. The sales associate that greeted us would not leave us alone. We were dressed nice and went straight to a kids bike. We looked like we were there to buy a bikes for the family. It just so happened that I wasn’t buying anything that day.In all my experiences there, half have been ok and half have been bad. Not a terrible place but also NOT A PLACE I WOULD RECOMMEND. Some of the staff and the way they treat there customers could use some improvements.
Great place but service is expensive but they do a go job when they fix something. Price for service is high but at least they fix it right
Last Tues morning while heading from Vancouver to Winthrop with some friends, my battery died in Ferndale. We boosted it with another bike and headed to Mt Baker Moto Sports. Showed up there at 9am and they had my 2000cc Vulcan Classic back on the road in 45 mins.Todd and the boys at Mt Baker are awesome!
Good people, nice bikes, good prices
Great place for all kinds of riding sports!
Good products good selection and always very friendly and helpful
Large showroom...leans towards off road riding.
Tried TV o buy a klr650 and after hours of choosing the one i wanted ...salesman said using my credit card was going to cost me hella extra......i never did leave with that bike......
Steve Baker is the best salesman. I would not buy a bike from anyone else.
If youre looking to buy a new bike or get yours tuned up this is a great shop. I bought my first bike here and Ive taken all my bikes since always back here to get worked on. Good workers and they get the job done quickly. Theyre service schedule can be quite booked and you have to schedule out a few weeks to get your bike in but its quite worth it. Paid $400 for the same service that Skagit Powersports wanted $650 for.
Great service great warranty service fair prices !
Best all around experience ever!!!
I would not recommend Mt Baker Moto Sports for your next motorcycle, quad or Jet Ski purchase. Woody the sales manager was rude, evasive and indignant. Woody wanted to play the ol car sales-man game.I went in mid December. Mt. Baker Moto Sports had several of last years Yamaha Super Jet Wave Runners still in stock. I had cash in hand, ready to buy. I asked to know what Yamahas Invoice was on the Super Jet so that I could gauge what a fair deal would be. Most reputable dealers who are not trying to rip the customer off will gladly tell you what invoice is on anything from a $6k Jet Ski to a $40k Truck to a $120k Toy Hauler. I support local business and I am willing to pay the dealership a fair profit. After waiting for 15 minutes for Woody to get done with his phone call he told me that they do not share invoice with their customers. He seemed rather uninterested in earning my business or in even keeping my business and my money local here in Bellingham.Woodys attitude was a real turn off. I will most defiantly take my business elsewhere and I would recommend that anyone else looking for friendly, fair and square deal do the same.Neither Woody or the salesman bothered taking my contact information, but in the interest of being fair, if Mt Baker Moto Sports is interested in discussing my experience further I would be happy to come back by to talk about this incident.Thank you
None
Great place great people!!
It was spendy but service was great cant wait to ride my bike
Helpful staff, good selection, reasonable prices.
Great very helpful
I had several questions about how to size a helmet for a child and they helped immensely
Cool
AWESOME
Steve Baker works there.
