Best model train shop Ive been to in NY metro area(NY,NJ,CT) in past 10-15 years so far! Good selection of all things related to model railroading(i model in N scale NYCRR), I was blown away. Even tho I was there just once on my way back to Yonkers,NY from the Maryland shore, I want to take the 2 hr drive back there again asap even though they ship nothing beats buying in person. Good selection of products! Website is very user friendly.Whenever I choose to ship by weight (USPS) my package never makes it past the order recived phase. Contacting does nothing, and I eventually just cancel. I dont have this problem with any other shipping option.Other than that, its a great store to shop online.

YD has always had great prices on Digitrax equipment. Our model RR club purchased all of our Digitrax equipment from them when we converted from DC to DCC and we never looked back and thought we had received a bad deal. Bob is always ready to help you out with your purchases.

When you go to s hobby shop you want 3 things. Good stock, good customer service, and good options on ordering. This place has all 3. They have a good online presence and you can order there or on the phone. They answer questions and are super friendly overall. The carry a good range of products from different bands. They have lot of HO scale and N with some O. They seem like they can get anything your looking for though if you call or go online. Overall super happy purchasing from there and they treated me very well.

Yankeedabblers prices are just a tad under other hobby stores Ive dealt with. Often they have a product other hobby stores do not have. Kato track parts I ordered were a lot less than on ebay. What I like most in dealing with Yankee is there shipping cost are the lowest cost of any other Hobby Store Ive encountered.

I ordered track from Yankee Dabbler and after waiting a month with no movement I sent an email canceling the order. I bought it elsewhere and they shipped the same day. Today I got a confirmation they shipped the track. I was able to get in touch with them this time and they stopped the shipment and cancelled the order plus refunded my money. Although the shipping was slow, the refund came quickly.

I first purchased from Yankeedabbler on E-bay, after a couple purchases I googled them and found that they had an online store and brick and mortar store that is less than an hours drive from my home. I have been dealing with them since 2018, I have been to the store a few times, purchased some items on line and at the Great Model Train Show at the Timonium Maryland Fairgrounds where the Ntrak Modular Railroad Club, Bantrak which I belong to, sets up a large modular display at the show. every year. Ordering a DCC system and it indicated that it would have been fulfilled in the future. I did not expect it to be delayed a few months. But I did receive the system.I would have expected that being a customer, I would have been notified that the product would be sent by a given date.
