Ok on this episode of BIG SCHLIMS LITE POCKET MEALS gas station edition part two…I went to Wawa!!! Yes @wawa !! Now there are not many Wawa’s in the DC area, but the few that are here I’ve heard rave reviews about their food and service. I went to their location at 10515 Baltimore Ave., Beltsville M.D. OK so when you go into Wawa you go to the eatery section, you go to the tablet that they have to order food, you choose what you want TT to order (which can be customized) order it, go pay for it, and wait for your food to be served. It truly is convenient. This Wawa I went to was packed full of customers. It was clean, they were efficient and everything is reasonably priced. You can get burgers, subs, soups, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, a whole slew of items. OK for this trip I copped their suggested “Gobbler” Sub (pictured with turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy, and stuffing $7.19), their breakfast burrito (pictured with bacon, eggs, cheese, and salsa $4), and their new onion beef steak Panini (pictured with onions, thinly carved steak, and cheese $7). I also got a small chipotle Mac n cheese (pictured $3), and a 24oz Berry freeze smoothie with whipped cream (pictured $4.19). All of these items, individual or combined, qualify for LITE POCKET MEALS. So I had to pass on the Gobbler sub, it was just too much going on, flavor wise, in the sub. Now the breakfast burrito was definitely decent, I just needed my bacon a tad bit more crisp. The Panini was absolutely delicious, well cooked, hot…A sandwich that I would go back for!! I had to pass on the macaroni and cheese too, because the chipotle sauce just didn’t mesh well with the macaroni and cheese. Now I stamp the smoothie of break, that smoothie was everything!!! Customer service was excellent, parking was readily available, ordering was easy, and this spot had good gas prices and was clean!! So look they got some really good subs there, they have some really good burgers there, don’t be discouraged by the items that I chose…go try them for yourself. That’s it. #Wawa #bigschlimsreviews #litepocketmeals #gasstationfood #decent #delicious #stamp #panini #Breakfastburrito #subs #smoothies #deliciousness #tryit #thatsit
Its a bad Wawa, but its still a Wawa. I grew up in South Jersey, so I know Wawa well and have been to countless different locations. This is by far the worst Wawa I have been to. Bad to ok service and poor management, but its still the same good Wawa food and prices.Orders are sometimes wrong. Orders sometimes are left waiting for sometimes 30 mins (especially ones like Salads). Shelves arent well stocked. Typically messy. And checkout takes far too long even when not crowded (and this was before the national hiring drought). It can be annoying trying to get food here. I recommend checking your order always before you leave since it could be wrong. That all being said, its still Wawa. Great food and prices. If another one ever opens in the area, I recommend going there
WaWa is my new fave spot. I love the smoothies, prices & food. I wouldnt mine someone taking my order instead of using the computer but Im getting used to it. An employee, Brian, I think, came from behind the counter to help me & another guy. The cashiers (Niyah) were nice. I had to wait for smoothie because worker was on the phone.
Best and cleanest gas station in the College Park area!
First I do not like their subs because when you order it toasted they tend to over toast them and the bread is hard as a rock. Now let me get into their drinks they are amazing but one day I came in there and ordered a large salted caramel macchiato. What I received was a cup of whole milk with ice and caramel drizzle and I told the lady it was not right and where is the coffee? She took it back and made the same thing again and I told her their is no coffee in this. But finally I took an iced caramel latte from her because its not her fault she was not trained and knows nothing about coffee or making drinks. But who even orders a cup with ice, whole milk and Carmel with no coffee at wawa? I understand the lady was reading the order ticket which showed whole-caramel-iced, but their is a screen that show you how to make it, am I wrong? I just feel bad for everyone else who ordered their that day. Staff is clearly not trained right and as for caramel macchiato‘s or any coffee beverage if you’re not a coffee drinker you’re not gonna make it right is the conclusion I came to.
We had to wait over 35 minutes for simple chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. I understand there is a rush sometimes but think this is a larger reflection of poor scheduling or management.
Good price gas, great food, all in one stop. Love it!
Date of Incident - 11/25/2020 2:20pm: Blonde girl with ponytail v More Below vOverall this Wawa is great with its customer service they lose balance when it comes to their food and bakery side. On more than one occasion this has happened to me where I am not satisfied with how my food is prepared but I never remember to complain. It’s been things such as liquified Frozens and smoothies, cold hogies, ‘firm’ quesadillas, and so much more from this department. Upen up your game Wawa branch, you’re too big to have this kind of ‘staff.’ All it took was a poorly stuffed bagel..
The employees were sweet and interactive. I was having the worst morning and they offered help and cheered me up!
Love coming to this location for gas. One of the cheapest places in the area. The Wawa store inside is always clean they have great hoagies and other sandwiches. Dont expect a long wait with the line. Max 5 min wait for your order. Station itself is always kept spotless and they have over 10 gas stations
I’ve frequented this Wawa multiple times and I don’t think they’ve gotten my order right even once. The staff behind the deli either doesn’t care or is poorly trained.
This store is rather hit and miss with the food orders, but the ready made stuff is always in decent stock and the cashiers are all pretty nice.
I love Wawa for the quick serve hot food near check out and the air pressure gauges that are usually pretty accurate and free. I always thought it was crazy to have to pay for some air usually with machines you cant get anywhere close to calibrated.
The slowest Wawa I have ever been to. They fill the orders with no sense of urgency at all and just keep telling you to hold on . I waited for 25 minutes for a sandwich .
The worst impatient and incompetent employees Ive ever encountered at a wawa. They rushed making my food just throwing things together like slop. This is peoples food .. DO BETTER I rather wait and have my food prepared correctly then to have slop thrown at me. Its not free you know!
The worst wawa I have ever been at my entire life. Rude workers telling me they dont even have more order and to leave when Ive already paid. waiting 45 minutes for a sandwich and coffee. Ended up having to leave before ever getting my coffee.
Favorite One Stop Shop!!! Gas, coffee, smoothies and snack!!! ❤️
If they was an option for me to give zero star I will definitely select no star because this store is unbelievableI am a deliver driver and the make wait up to half hour to get my order ready or let me say 45 min for an order that have 3 itemsAnd the funny part is that the associated of the store know you are here for delivery but dont focus on on the dasher the care about people in the storeSo the question is are we not customer alsoOr do we not represent customerThe manager of the store need to check what is happening in the store in this location
Ordered food, gave me a broken bag that slipped out of my hand and spilled all over the floor. Huge waste of money and terrible service
All great, one thing I that the pastry chocolate/ sweet cheese are not well cooked... is is whitish is not cooked
We need one of these in College Park real bad.
Good service
I got food poisoning from a wrap that I had bought from there yesterday around 3pm.
My sitisfaction is usually hit or miss...one time its hreat food great service other times horrible food horrible service...I did not ask for mayonnaise on my sandwich...Imagine my surprise/😵😞.
Forgot the meat on my Italian sub, I was very disappointed when I opened my sandwich up. Do better fam.
WawA always has friendly service, and food is prepared quickly.
Super busy location. Any time I come here it is packed. They still manage to turn out sandwiches at a fast pace and with high quality. Workers I’ve interacted with have always been great. My Cajun turkey I had last time was fantastic.
I love Wawa itself but this store has the most rude assistant managers ever its always a problem when I shop there I will not return to this store .
I waited almost 25 minutes for my sandwich for me to get all the way home in Bowie to realize it isn’t what I asked for. I’m allergic to pickles and they put pickles on my sandwich.
Today was an atypical day. I came during my late lunch break, purchased two bottles of water and two sandwiches. This is where I my irritation lies. My order took 20 minutes to make. Reece was talking about school, making $15/he and balling. There was another sandwich maker, tall young African American lady with braids in her hair, junior in college next year, Dad told her that he wasnt paying for school anymore. She did two years at Frederick on a scholarship. See my point? I know their entire conversation but they were not making my order. At the time, you have 4 sandwich makers and 2 are not contributing anything but talking about personal situations. This should be a learning experience. If I could do ZERO STARS. I would
I ordered two black bean quesadillas and Wawa did not put any black beans in them. They also put all the toppings to the front making a horrible entree. I am disappointed at the lack of care and attention put into my food. How do you miss the main ingredient in a order. Mcdonalds would never sell a burger with no meat. This happened to me twice, truly ridiculous.
It seemed like they were serving their full menu. They had pretzels! I also saw employees washing their hands.
Great staff, great food, good gas prices!
I cant imagine how this store keep an employee like that lady on this store. She is showing her attitude towards the customers and its really bad. I asked her for a mega million ticket and she is showing her attitude and didnt want to answer me or give me a ticket. If I were the manager I would write her off on the spot.
I love this Wawa! Theyre fast even when busy, staff is super friendly, but I have to give Tori a specific shoutout. I have special dietary restrictions and she follows them perfectly and makes sure that her fellow teammates get it right, too. Now I just have to see her and wave and I know shes got me. Tori, you are AWESOME!!
This Wawa is the best! Special shoutout to Chelsea who insisted his sandwich would be the best I’ve ever tasted and I’ll have to admit is was pretty awesome. However, I will also add that I’ve never had a disappointing sandwich from this location and all of the staff members have been friendly and helpful. I also agree with another review in that although this location may seem busy the service is always fast and friendly. Other locations should take notes from this location.
This place is very conveniently located and for a convenience store its a great alternative to 7-11. The store is kept neat and clean and they always have fresh coffee ready in the afternoon. (not so at other convenience stores,) I like to stop there on the way home from work to grab a coffee or hot cocoa and usually a couple pieces of penny candies for my son, (a couple of mini peppermint patties) I like this over having to purchase a full size candy do to poor self control, cant just eat have and save for later, so this eliminates temptation. The people who work here are great. The parking lot is crazy and the lines for gas are quite busy. The worst part is trying to exit the parking lot on to route one. These are all things I can deal with since the it is convenient and the service is great.
The bathrooms are usually clean, the fuel is priced well, but this location is busy! Like, all the time. The food is good, but be prepared to wait - seems like all the GrubHub and DoorDash orders take precedence over the customers waiting.
Today 06/23/2020 @ approximate 1530 hrs was my first bad experience with customer service at this location. while in the process of ordering a sandwich one of the employees by the name of Paul restarted the computers and all of the ordering computers went blank. Paul never once apologised for the delay. Paul didnt give myself and any of ther other customers the common courtesy tolet us know that it will be a moment for a system reboot. . Paul should really go back to customer service training.I am happy yo say that his attitude and his example of poor customer relations doesnt show in the reat of the staff. I want commend and say job well done to the staff behind the counter preparing the food as well as the cashiers were awesome, delightful and outstanding.. It is obvious they arent lead by example.location- 10515 Baltimore Ave, Beltsville md
Every time I order anything here it takes 30 minutes. Do not get food here if you’re in a hurry.
So the brand name Wawa evokes, hey fast food/delicious food, great service and somewhat affordable. Well not this past Memorial Day weekend 2020. Putting the order in is like everywhere else at a kiosk, that part is easy Peasy! I walked in on Said Friday evening, there were 5 wawa team members quite busy as it look like 6 people waiting for their order number to be called. So apparently they don’t start making the food you order until you pay. So I grabbed two other drinks and went to pay promptly. From the two customer rep checking everyone out to the team members in food service. The Guest Services experience was way below expectations. Now don’t get me wrong, from driving through NJ, you can familiarize yourself with a Wawa’s appeal. Even though you may encounter a team members having a bad day. Overall you can expect fast, efficient within a budget of affordability. encounter the same things some times but mostly Wawa team members are classier and when you wait patiently for 13 minutes for your food & smoothie to be made and still no #759, i then Remembered that I needed a cigar for later so I returned to buy that. After that I was wondering why hadn’t my number been called, I respectfully asked a staff member and they were like why are you wasting our time we called your number already and you’re smoothie was made 5 minutes ago. I must say, I was waiting the an owl prancing on its prey. It didn’t take me five minutes to get a cigar. In the service industry we live and die, not only by the quality of our products but by the reputation based off that experience that each guest has. Wawa is not Vapiannos in Downtown DC, if I want a rude experience I can head down there, but here’s hoping that maybe it was an isolated incidents. For $26.95, a turkey bowl, smoothie and two drinks. The only reason I gave this visit two stars was because the bowl tasted delicious!
Always decently priced gas. Just here for a quick fill up. Always packed it seems due tot he pricing and the inside stocked up areas to grab snacks and coffee puts it into a good standing along the busy street that leads into route 1. Been doing fine since Ive lived there and saw its construction until now.
THE BEST GAS PRICES HANDS DOWN!!!I USE PREMIUM SO ITS HARD TO FIND CHEAP PRICE BUT WAWA HAS THE BEST !!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Always keep expired food out to be sold well beyond its time limit. Sizzlis, pepperoni melts, hot dogs etc. Lines are always extremely long only to be greeted with grumpy, snappy customer service representatives. Wawas in Jersey are run 10 times better and this store is a fine example.
Without question, the cheapest gas in the area! And the food they serve inside is really good, too. And the staff is very polite and courteous.
Possibly the worst customer service Ive ever experienced at a Wawa. During rush hour, long line at the register (8 people) and only one person on registers.... who was beyond rude and acted as if he despises all walks of life. There are plenty of other people who would be HAPPY to have his job.
Every wawa I go to is a great experience. The bathrooms are clean and I make a point to stop there is I must use a public bathroom. Also I have received free samples and it make my day maybe even my week 😂 Wawa is dependable and I love it 😍
Just had the worst time trying to buy one of their gift cards. Purchased a $25 gift card but was not given a receipt I asked for an activation code so I could be assured that the card was activated. Good thing I did because it had NOT been activated there was NO money on it. Image if I had given this card as the gift I had intended ! Cashier called for the manager? who said he had to charge my bank card AGAIN to have it activated. I showed him the receipt that clearly showed I had already been charged and I just wanted the gift card to be actived. Even showed him my bank account on my phone that it had been deducted. He refused and said he couldnt do it without charging my bank card again ! No way was I going to allow him to charge me AGAIN ! I feel robbed !Update : Went back to speak to the store manager, Paul. Explained the situation and showed him the receipt. He promptly gave me a new & activated gift card. Had it done in less than a minute. The best surprise was that today I went to the store and the young man I had encountered that wanted to charge my bank card again remembered me and apologized for the misunderstanding ! Very mature thing for him to do ! Im back in love with wawa 💓
Amazing sandwiches for the best price
Food was delicious. A very enticing variety. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Holiday coffee ha! Instead you end up waiting for a pot of hot water because staff forget to add the coffee. Always filthy and employees dont care.
Great one stop location for gas, food, snacks and beverages! Best prices too!! AAA+
I came in to your Beltsville, MD locations and ordered some hot food, thinking they were out of an ingredient I really wanted. Tariq wasn’t even working on my order but went out of his way to find and complete my order when he overheard my troubles. He also did so with a smile.. employees like Tariq are who have been keeping your loyal customers coming back for years.
If you love sourdough sandwiches do not get one from here. It’s says it’s a new item but they need to retire it like yesterday. I believe it was almost a $7 sandwich so do yourself a favor and save your money. My coffee I got tasted very watered down as well. It’s also a very busy Wawa. Sheetz & RoFo > Wawa
Great visit. Got gas and lunch. Really appreciate the free tire pump.
This Wawa is great! Fuel prices are low enough that its worth driving to it from College Park proper. I rarely have to wait when I come, and inside the store (when I go in) is usually clean and bright.
The gas station chain that puts the rest to shame. Free air machines to inflate your car tyres. Decent foods for a convenience store / gas station.
I think Im going to have to agree with the argument that Wawa is better than Sheetz.... later that night I took a bite of my sisters turkey and cheese sandwich you got from Wawa and that joint was the truth
This a Wawa, which is to say, it;s the best gas station in the world. Clean bathrooms, great sandwiches and food, and nice people. God bless you Wawa.
Wonderful location! Just watch out in the parking lot, traffic is crazy
Great, affordable food. Great staff. Love the breakfast.
This is my go to place for late night food and sometimes for a cup of coffee. Have been going to this place regularly and never had any issue with anything.
Great service during non peak hours. Friendly and very helpful staff throughout all shifts.
Great price on Diesel, only four pumps.Plenty of trash cans, four start because there is no paper or gloves.FREE AIR
Great convenience stop, but don't bother going here for gas. You'll be waiting in line for a LEAST 15 minutes to get to a pump. You'll burn more gas than the couple cents per gallon you save. People leave their cars at the pumps and go shopping, people cut in front of you when you make room for someone to back away from the pumps. Wawa should have made it a one way in, one way out system like Costco, Sam's or bj's if they're going to undercut prices in the area.
Cashier is slow. Had to do two transactions to make one purchase. Couldve been better.
Cashiers are very rude. Treats people like they have some sort of a disease ? I was a very regular customer but not anymore. Never again. Wawa should be ashamed of hiring people like that ?
Its great to find such bunch of people at a convenience store but somehow these guys go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Love the breakfast burrito
Hi,If this is a rating for the WAWA in the College Park Md. area on Baltimore Pike, I gave it a rating of 2 stars because although the selection of food is good, and the place seems pretty clean (I have never used the bathroom so I cant speak on that), the customer service is not always so. The employees seem tense. I have encountered a couple that are down right rude. Its almost as if they are not worried about being reported.
I write this review with so much regret and remorse. Im from Jersey where theres a Wawa on every corner. I grew up relying on Wawa for every snack craving. Their hoagies have been my go-to for years, BUT this is the worst Wawa Ive ever been to. They consistently forget toppies on my perfected hoagie recipe and the ingredients dont taste fresh. I dont know if the source of the ingredients or the staff is to blame but scrap them both and start over. I have two stars because once upon a time this was a top notch Wawa and I have faith it will turn around for the love of Wawa.
Good sandwiches, and the best gas prices I can find. The staff can be a little rough around the edges sometimes, but I reckon Id be too if I dealt with that many people on the day to day.
Great breakfast sandwiches and smoothies. Customer service good
Like all Wawas, its clean, quick, and with all the snacks and great coffee you need for a morning run or a stretch during a road trip.
I love WaWa. The gas is cheaper than others nearby, usually by about $0.05. They have a great cafe, with delicious hot, iced, and even frozen coffees. They create subs and sandwiches to-order, as well as hot soup and sides, which are ordered in a simple touch screen. They have theyre own line of juices and teas in the fridge with national brands and offer free ATMs for everyone. If you need cigarettes, they are usually some of the cheapest as well. The restrooms are generally always clean. The gas pumps are well lit and use surveillance cameras, and at most locations, air is free.I personally stop at this location at least once a week, if not twice, just to fill up my tank and grab a sub for dinner. Its more than just a convenience store. The staff is always great and they make sure to open more lines as they get busier. I just wish this location was closer to me than Beltsville.
Sandwiches are delicious, but Ive experienced some very rude employees. I think that rude employees dont deserve to associated with Wawa, which is a top-notch company.
Best all-in-one stop to file you and your vehicle needs
Good gas, reasonable prices. Lots of pumps. Free air for your tires. Right off of route 1 so its often really, really busy.
Worlds slower food bar
Food counter service at lunch time is very slow. Ive been to other Wawa at lunch and this one is really bad. The staff is very friendly, but there are maybe not enough of them to keep up with the rush.
They always have what I am looking for and the coffee is always hot.
EJ is the GOAT... corrected my order flawlessly!!!!
This is one of the worst WaWa locations Ive ever visited. Store was cluttered, shelves were not properly fronted and faced. Also the food service was abysmal.
Very slow service, restrooms wasnt very clean. Good subs and fuel prices seem to be a bit lower then most.
Ordered from a delivery service and both of my orders came back wrong. Both.
Love the Wawa...would have been a 5 but the sandwich girl felt the need to cop attitude when I didnt pick up right away...someone didnt get the customer service job memo! 😁
I love Wawa, I hardly ever have an issue.
Quick and frequented by the local police at 2:00 AM.
Gas plus multiple snacks and fast foods choices
Fast spot to get gas and something to eat.
Fuel prices were decent here, attracting a sizable crowd. I checked out the interior, they were selling any sized coffee for a buck.
Clean, friendly staff, and great sandwiches!
Always clean... always GREAT prices
