I love this store! They make you feel so welcome when you walk in the door and are on top of helping you find what you need! Prices are amazing as well!!! I paid 2 bucks for a furnace filter!!!

Pretty cool like back in the old days good place to go for screws or bolts that you cant find another stores the old timer staff in there know where everything is!

Nice hardware store in downtown Belvidere. They have a little bit of everything. Whenever I need a part to something, this is the first place I stop. Ive only had one time where they didnt have something I needed, but neither did Belvideres Farm & Fleet and the big box stores in Rockford. I ended up having to buy the item off the internet. The owner Dave is a super nice guy, and Dave and his employees are always helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

I love Belvidere Ace Hardware. Youll be quite surprised at what they carry from plumbing, electrical, and paint down to lawn and garden. They cut glass, cut and thread pipe as well. Their staff is always friendly and helpful.

Corrupt conversion for propane.When they fill propane tanks they will weigh the tank before and weigh the tank after then they subtract to get they propane weight. Which is fine. Then they divide by 4 lbs instead of 4.23lbs( the correct standard) to get gallons of propane. This makes a high number for gallons of propane. Then they charge you by the gallon for propane. I brought it to the managers attention but he refused to correct it.

Why are they closedAnd the manager owner has an attitude that is not friendly just condescending. I will go to Rockford or Genoa

Ace is the place when I need something they have it and I buy it they make my keys I need made and I dont have to go back and get ready done they work every time I just wish they where open on Sundays for a few hours. There the best for screens and glass also I wont go anywhere else again I wait till Monday even if my wife gets mad cause I didnt drop it off somewhere else to be worked On. Ace in Belvidere is the Best. If you dont need help theyre still there to help all you need to do is ask or let the cashier know when you walk in that you need the help cause youre in a hurry. The Employees are always willing to do there job why they are there thats what there job is to satisfy the customer to the best that the store has to give I hope Ace never closes like all the rest have. Well-stocked for a small store. Dave, the owner, is always there. He hires people who understand that people like me come in for quick access to products and sometimes a little good advice. Always a friendly greeting when you come in, and they help as much (or little) as you like. Glass cutting, screen repair, all kinds of other hands-on services. Much better than a big-box unless you need something out of the ordinary. And even then, they dont mind telling you where to find the thing they dont have at other stores.

I shop at enough Ace Hardware Stores where it is personalized attention but this store gives me the impression they think Im going to steal from them I am not comfortable with that I go there because sometimes theyre the only ones that have what I need but honestly Id rather go somewhere else and pay more money then to be treated this way

They need to be more open minded we took a window in there to put glass in it they said it wasnt possible we took it to another glass place they had no problem getting it done and they wonder why they are all going out of business plus they are 5 times higher than anyone around
