Poor consignment service. They restrict when you can bring in consignments very heavily even if its been months since youve brought anything in.As someone bringing in items, I would prefer they price my items lower so item circulation is faster.As a shopper, I dont mind that they put out pilly worn out clothes, I just think they should only charge $1 for an old ratty t-shirt rather than $7.

Value Smart is your typical thrift/consignment store. It is a fairly large establishment with a very large selection of clothing as well as furniture, toys, kitchen ware, artwork etc. The prices are reasonable/low, so you are bound to find a good deal. I picked up two Lord of The Rings goblets here and found a few kitchen appliances on the cheap. The dirt parking lot and interior give the place a bit of a run-down feel. Dont expect to find anything real u here, just your typical thrift - which is perfect, if thats what youre looking to buy! If you are a consignor, they have a pretty good set up. You dont need to wait for your items to sell before you get paid, however...you hand over your goods, and in a couple months, they pay you whatever they feel it is worth, once theyve had the chance to sort through and price your wares. This is bitter-sweet, as it eliminates the will it sell? Anticipation, but can take a while to turn over. You are offered a greater amount in store credit than if you decide to take your earnings in cash - a welcome option to some. Overall, three stars for your average small-town second-hand store.

Pretty good consignment place. They are picky enough on what they take that you normally end up with decent quality stuff. But thats my wife- I like looking at all the odd stuff people give up. Entertainment for the easily amused while she shops.

The best consignment shop in town plus it’s locally owned. Lots of vintage clothing. Good place to get sports stuff if your kids want to try something new.

A little spendy for my taste in a consignment store. But I did find some super cute snowmen for a reasonable price.

You can find a lot of stuff here in pretty good shape. The thrift stores in this town, including this one, price too high though. Why buy a used product here that you can get brand new at the same price at Wal-Mart? They even have items priced at a dollar that you can go get for new at the dollar store. If youre looking for items that cost a lot when they are new, sometimes you can get a bargain here.

Horrendous service, poorly organized and ridiculous policies. I brought in 2 bags of name brand clothes in excellent shape. Nine months later they still had not put them out. I asked for them back and the owner said I could look for them but he would not. He showed me a mountain of bags in the back room and said I could dig through them.

My mom and I walked into Valuesmart and their customer service is awful. They treated us poorly when we brought in nice things that are like new. Our snowmobile helmets werent good enough for them apparently. They were totally rude and we will never do business with them again.

Love that store. Find all different kinds of stuff. And they have $2 bag days & discount rack.

I really appreciate the staff at Value Smart in Bemidji. This store has really progressed over the years. I have been de-cluttering for a few years now and bring all my items here. WAY easier than a garage sale every year. Drop offs are Wed through Saturday, 9-4, but you can pick up checks/account balances any time! They have a rating system for what you bring in. The better your rating, the faster your items hit the selling floor. I wish you could drop off more at one time than a box or a bag, and wish drop offs were anytime, but all in all they have a good system going here. LOTS of items from dishes to trinkets to jewelry to clothing for all to furniture, books, small appliances, purses, dvds, bedding, artwork, etc.
