Now called Smith Rock Records, this place smells exactly like a record store should - incense and history. There have been upgrades in the last few months, with more bins of used/consignment vinyl, offering great values. Immediately upon entering are the recent arrivals, and the $1 bin is now near the cash register. Their themed window displays are always worth checking out, and they have essential Covid protocols with hand-sanitizer at the doorway, one-way aisles, and a capacity limit. Employees are helpful and always ready to talk about music!

Smith Rock Records is my go to for all things music. The staff is incredibly helpful from suggesting new music, ordering those hard to find releases, or just a friendly conversation about music and life. Huge selection of new and used music in all forms of media. I personally go for the vinyl but the selection of tapes, cd’s and videos is stellar. There is a large selection of music inspired art, clothing, decorations, guitar and bass strings, stickers, patches, incense, seriously, this place has it going on. Thank you for providing an environment where I feel safe, valued and I am entertained for hours.

A darn good record store! Ive been to many cities much larger than Bend without one as good. I bought a dozen used cds, very fairly priced. Check it out!

Fun place to browse through the old records and compact discs. They have a good selection of bargain cds where you can find something interesting. Staff leaves you alone to shop and don’t pester you.New releases are a little harder to find but they can special order for you. They also sell DVDs and concert tickets.

I just had a terrible experience on the phone with, I think his name is Adam, about a new release album that came out today. Apparently they order new releases a week in advance. Because of that, the album that I wanted was sold out, so they didnt get their copies. So now I wont get the new album. This is the second terrible experience Ive had with this store and new releases. The first one was they just didnt order it, so I couldnt get it on the new release date. This is for a band I love, and its sorely disappointing! So much for shopping local!

Really great selection and quality. The prices feel a bit steep for my taste. I had to pass on buying at least 5 albums I wouldve bought if they werent priced well over $30-40. I did find some good prices and did make a purchase. They also had some really good prices on turntables and speakers in the back. The guy working the counter was fairly nice and answered my questions. He kinda had a vibe like he wasnt interested in talking to me beyond our business transaction. Overall its a really cool store and is worth going to, just gonna have to pay a decently steep price for new vinyl.

Always been very helpful and a large selection of music. Plus concert tickets. Lets hope Yellawolf makes it here this time! Hope to get down there and get a new CD he has out. Enjoy

Very peaceful, the workers didn’t really do anything or ask us if we needed help finding anything but they were very nice a the check out stand, i did get a nirvana record and it skipped. 8/10

A record store that has about one aisle of records and 5 of cds... No turntable repairs either. the guy at the front desk was not rude but he was not friendly or helpful by any means. Overpriced as well. I see all these reviews saying best record store in bend. Maybe my expectations are too high but just because something is the best of an area doesnt mean it is good.

Fun place to shop for vinyl that you dont find much anymore lots of used records and tapes along with new ones also and a nice variety of local bands CDs relaxed atmosphere and a bonus display of stickers to shop from featuring both older and new bands parking can be kind of tough in the evening that is worth the short walk

Decent choice of records and CDs. But often times overpriced and I feel that Im paying far too much for the record quality Im getting. Ive found situations where Im paying around $30 for a record I could get for around $10 at Recycled Music (just down the road) plus they often give discounts there. In some cases the employee are obviously trying to convince me to buy more, telling me to follow my dreams or answer the call of the record (what?). Nice customer service regardless though.

Many of staff have verified that they where born in state of Oregon,they are not from the state of Mississippi and they also can add properly,but must most real Oregonians dont like Liberace music. I will keep investigating them to make sure that they are true 1859 Oregonians
