This is the place to go for some healthy morning eats. I got the Acai smoothie which has acai, strawberries, banana, mango, goji berries, coconut milk and chia seeds. This smoothie was the perfect morning snack. My friends got the Kickin It Acai bowls and enjoyed it. There can be a wait as its a popular spot, but it is worth it.

Only stayed in Bend for about a week or so, but Im glad I managed to find this wonderful cafe. Coffee is top notch. By time of this review I have ordered all of the house favorite blends and so far am impressed by almost all of them.In terms of food the banana bread is a must have. I mean it. Its been awhile since Ive had banana bread that good. The picture probably says it all but just everything that goes into it is fantastic. This place is definitely a must stop for any morning ritual.

Kanona is decent - Ive only ever tried the Hana Acai Bowl and its not bad. Definitely not the best acail bowl Ive ever had but its for sure the best in Bend! The flavor overall is good, but i think the value you get isnt completely worth the price. If you go to a comparable place in Hawaii, san Diego, or la, you get a lot more fruit/other toppings for the same price.Overall, not bad. I would return again just because i love acai bowls a lot (and Ive also been going to saline grindz since i was a kid so Ill always support the owners) but i would like to see more fruit/toppings!(:

This is my favorite spot to stop with my 3 year old. We love their Hana acai bowl to share and I usually get a classic avocado toast. Something about their bread makes for a great toast! I would seriously eat here every day if I could. Great vibes, young friendly staff, and great lattes as well!

Love this cafe!! Been going here for years for the coffee. Hands down best coffee in town. Sometimes I splurge and get the avo toast which is always amazing with the perfect crisp to the toast and perfect texture to the avocado mash! Yuuumm! I also like the warrior açaí bowl! Huge portions so I always split it with someone! I quit caffeine last year when I got pregnant and was so worried about drinking decaf. Kanona uses the Swiss water method to decaffeinate their coffee which has zero chemicals!! I was so pleased to get to continue having their coffee and the decaf tastes just as good! I love that it’s owned by a local family. Sad to see the pandemic has made staffing hard but I would wait in an hour line for their coffee! Thanks Kanona!

Fun healthy spot!

This place is cool. The coffee I had was a complete winner, as was the avocado toast concoction they came up with. The acacia bowls they offer will be first on the my list, next rotation, super nutritious for you.

Love this spot! We tried it once and ended up stopping in everyday while in Bend. We tried nearly everything on the menu- smoothies, bowls, coffee, and creative toast- everything was amazing. Love the minimalist island vibe and the employees were all friendly and super helpful.

Today was my first visit. I got the Local Girl. This is my new favorite coffee... OF ALL TIME. This drink is perfectly flavored and not too sweet! Cute little shop and super sweet staff too.

I love the variety. They dont just have standard coffee they have delicious teas and fun drinks like Butterfly Flower - butterfly pea flower, coconut blossom sugar, ginger. It was SO good. Their protein balls are delicious and paleo friendly. Their acai bowls are really good too. I cant say enough good things.

Kanona, as a whole, is a really great coffee/Açaí bowl shop. However, I want to warn you and steer everyone away from using any delivery apps to get their food delivered. I ordered a Hana bowl with almond milk and bananas on top— I received a warrior bowl… with chocolate and peanut butter— things I cannot consume. I was so disappointed in my experience using Doordash to order Kanona to be delivered. I’m grateful doordash will refund my money, but I’m frustrated as to how the mixup could happen considering the Hana and Warrior bowls are so vastly different. Will only be purchasing from Kanona if I ever do happen to be on the west side of town (which is next to never).. bummer.

This is a great place for breakfast. Clean eating. Their acai bowls are amazing. They have these Kanona bites that looked delicious too. Friendly staff and lots of seating outside. We enjoyed our black coffee and mocha with coconut milk on the patio. I would highly recommend stopping here for breakfast. They also serve lunch!

This place is soo good we came here both days of our trip. Their coffee is definitely a different flavor than I’ve ever had before, so unique and amazing. Açaí bowls are off the charts. So nourishing and tasty. Very high quality, 100% recommend.

Got a lovely cup of cold brew, a warrior acai bowl and a Road to Hana toast. All three were excellent. Andy and his teammate prepared all the items to order and it was so delicious.The Road to Hana toast starts with thick sliced house-made banana bread and then is topped with ricotta, blueberries, banana, pecans, honey. What a tasty way to start my day.The warrior Acai bowl is a blend of acai, banana, strawberries, raw cacao, almond butter, plant protein, almond milk and then is topped off with granola, almond butter, blueberries, banana, almonds and a few cacao nibs.My partner and I travel the country full-time and love spots like this. Whenever I am back in Bend, Oregon, I will be sure to stop by this place!

The best smoothie Ive ever had honestly. They have a really fun surf vibe and an awesome porch when its nice out. The staff are always super friendly and willing to answer any questions. The avocado toast is fantastic. Instead of a thin layer of anemic avocado spread, real chunky avocado sits happily on toast topped with seeds, radish, and other green stuff. Highly recommended.

Kanona brings the true spirit of Hawaii to Bend. Not only do they serve some of the best coffee in town, they have incredible acai bowls with boundiful flavors and fresh ingredients. Delicious, I had an almond smoothie which was not only unique, but healthy and full of yummy flavor. My mom had the ricotta nut berry thingy, and my girlfriend had the avacado toast. Smiles all around, we loved it. Ill definitely be going back :)

A very cute coffee shop in NW Bend. Stopped in on our way out of town for last minute coffee with family. They make some bagel-egg combinations for breakfast- some toast options. The menu is limited but they make the items on the premises so they are very fresh.

A sweet friendly little place, with good light ---- and one of the best espresso macchiatos i have had in a long time: creamy and smooth, with round flavor. Definitely a go to place in Bend. Also a nice shave-ice store is right next door.

In my opinion this is the best place in town to get an acai bowl. We usually get the get pitted bowl but we decided to venture into something different so we got the greens and it was absolutely delicious. Service is always quick and very friendly and this has become one of our go-to places for a quick bite.

I can’t say enough good things! I started coming for the açaí bowls and macadamia nut milk chai teas. I’ve upgraded to a coffee drinker (partially because of this place!) getting dirty chais or one of their seasonal flavored lattes. The smoothies are delicious and priced appropriately in my opinion. The toasts (not something I’d ever order) are super yummy and hearty. The staff is always a pleasure and I enjoy seeing the owners so involved in their business. As you can tell, I love this place!

The layout is nice with a nice porch. The people who run the place are people who have visited Hawaii a handful of times and think they know enough about Hawaii to bring it to bend. I would recommend their cafe but not the açaí bowls if you are looking for a Hawaii type açaí bowl. For the same price you can go to Active Culture and get a large Hawaii feel açaí bowl. There seems to be favoritism between different customers. It’s definitely a Hawaiian culture through Bend eyes.

We loved their Hawaii island vibe, which brought us right back to our vacation in Maui we had just returned from a week prior. It was fun to compare the acai bowls from the island to those at Kanona. Kanona acai bowls were about the same price as most of the bowls we tried in Maui, but Kanonas were a bit smaller (served in a large flat bowl almost like a plate, instead of the traditional paper bowls), and had less toppings (we really liked the bowls in Maui with a whole banana, strawberries, and blueberries, which Kanona only had some of). Otherwise, the flavor was on point with Maui!

The food was amazing, not too sweet... not too bitter... it was just right! The banana bread is down right delicious! I was extremely impressed with their customer service. As I was enjoying my open faced banana bread toast and turmeric latte, I was able to witness the owner, Andy, patiently and ever so sweetly explain to an older new customer their acai bowl creations and coffee choices. He didnt let her confusion upset him or the impatients of other customers deter his efforts in helping his customer on an individual basis. If you want somewhere to go that truly values customer service and quality, Dakine Cafe is the spot.

The star of the menu are the Acai Bowls. There is a full espresso bar. There are also other food items such as specialty toast and pastry items. The Acai Bowls are very much worth it. We have had Acai Bowls in Hawaii and these are just as good of not better.

This is one of the must try stops in Bend, its on the way up to the mountain/lakes and is two minutes down the road from drakepark.Dakine Cafe is AMAZING! Such a fun atmosphere and kind staff. They have the BEST Acai bowls and their coffee is on point every time! I highly recommend The Warrior Bowl: Acai, Banana, Raw Cacao, Almond butter, Plant protein, and Almond milk. As I am writing this, Andy is hanging up some plants on the patio--they make you feel right at home. I cant wait to see more locations open up :)
