Was discriminated against at Whole Foods in Bend, Oregon today. The guy in the pony tail with the nasely voice that every day says maaaaammm.. screamed at me to leave three times. Their sign out front says they dont discriminate. The last time I was there they told my 8 year old son to put a tshirt on or hed be removed from the store (it was 100 degrees that day and we just left the pool). I guess they do discriminate. Stay far away. I wont be back.

My wife was just removed from Whole Foods Market in Bend, Oregon because shes medically unable to wear a mask do to major medical trauma. She was humiliated in front of all customers by a male checker in a pony tail yelling at her to get out, over and over again, while pointing at the door, ending with GETTTT OUTTTT. Our family has spent hundreds of thousands at this market over our lives and will never, ever, shop here again. Youll be sued, Whole Foods.

Me and my daughter went shopping. Walked in putting our masks on. The guy out front said nothing. While shopping in the produce department Patrick (an employee) approached my 13 year old and told her to cover her nose. He said it very forcefully and made her uncomfortable and put me on edge. She fixed her mask and we continued to shop. Then Patrick came up to her again near the coffee isle and harassed her again, i came unglued. Patrick persisted on yelling at us to wear our masks (which we were). I pointed out several other customers not wear masks completely or not on their nose, he didn’t seem to care he seemed to be only interested in us. I pushed my cart away and walked out of the store. I was talking to the protocol guy out front of why he didn’t tell me and I seat talking to him of religious reasons and that my daughter has asthma and can’t breath with it. Patrick then came storming out of the store accusing me of harassing an employee. I said we were having a conversation. I pointed out religious aspects of face coverings and my daughters asthma, he didn’t care. He persisted on yelling me to leave (even though I was until he bombarded us). I will never shop at Whole Foods again after being a customer for 13 years.

Whole Foods has gone over & beyond making the store feel comfortable to walk into, limited number of people while were in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Each member that I come across is kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I appreciate the way things have been handled and wanted to say KUDOs. Its usually only the complaints that seem to be left. I decided to do a positive one. We all need to hear it from time to time. Thanks Whole Foods !

Just 2 years ago Whole Foods was a 5 star company, so why now only a 3 star now. The loss of selection, not dealing with local farms as much or locally made products. The quality and availability of produce, meat, and pre made food is not nearly as good or gone completely. The only good I see coming out of this is its opening up opportunities for small local companies to fill the voids. Buy local

I hate to give a poor review especially since I am an avid and loyal whole foods customer. I just moved to bend Oregon and Ive been shopping here but the experience has been disappointing. Granted Im a little spoiled from the whole foods markets in some of the major cities Ive lived before, all of which are stunning. This whole foods is very small, located in a somewhat sad part of town surrounded by your typical big box stores. The most glaring deficit is the hot food bar and salad bar, both of which never seem to be fresh or completely filled with food. Today was my 12th visit and both of these areas still looked sad and unkempt. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. But it seems to be lacking in that stunning design, beautiful layout, and sumptuous feeling that most whole foods seem to have. Perhaps there is not enough business for them to stock everything and change over the fresh food often enough. I get the sense that there are not enough customers to keep the areas like fresh meat, fresh fish, sandwiches, pizzas, and to go foods constantly turning over. The produce section desperately needs some help. Lots of old produce that is not being switched out for new produce. Some great deals if you are an Amazon customer. I truly hope that they are able to save this store and make it more of a destination

This Whole Foods has not been the same since they sold out to Amazon. I was always willing to pay the extra cost because of the wonderful customer service and quality of the fresh foods. The customer service has really gone down hill : ( I have walked out of the store twice this last month because of the terrible service. If you’re on your lunch break this is not the place to go.First I always have to ask for help.. they don’t offer to help like they did in the past. I’ve waited 25 minutes for a sandwich even on non crowded days. I also noticed the produce that they’re using now has a mass produced feel about it.Don’t let the Whole Foods name fool you! They’re a shell of what they use to be ... SO Sad!

I love shopping at Whole Foods. They sell quality food, have such a commitment to their standards regarding ingredients and fit more closely to the E.U.s model for food standards than the United States. No preservatives, synthetic colors, fragrances or flavors in the whole store and they only sell cage free eggs including in the food they make in house - of which there is many. They have so many local products on their shelves and, especially in the summer and fall months, have a lot of local produce that comes from small, CSA-type farms in the area as well. They have a ton of prepared foods, grab and go food, made in house pastries and desserts, bread, a great beer and wine selection, an olive bar to die for. I especially love their bulk section in which they have baking ingredients, granola, sweets and snacks, pantry basics, honey, and a few different types of fresh ground nut butter. You can use your own bags or containers and they give you $0.10 off your order for each one you use. Download their coupon app and present it to your cashier - there are some great coupons that pop up sometimes, even off fresh produce or meats not just packaged food, and they refresh every week. Walking into the store feels so good compared to conventional grocery stores. The vibe is so pleasant and fresh. I love being in there.

Not a huge deal.... then we opened one of the boxes at home. The pizza was uncooked and a sloppy mess. I tried to cut the middle(uncooked part out) and ignore that half the pizza was ruined. It wanst until my husband grabbed a piece of the pizza and found an actual wood stick. I know its a wood fire oven but wood in the food! We wanted a more healthy choice over pizza Hut or any other of the 100 places we could have gone but we were wrong!! Dont go to whole foods and order pizzas, leason learned.

Today I walked into the store in Bend Oregon because my service animal alerted me that my blood sugar was low. At this point, I should let you know that my dog is a 13 year old 5 lb teacup chihuahua .I walked up to the sandwich counter with my service animal in my arms, where she rides all the time. The way my dog alerts me is by licking my face.I even had my friend fill out the paperwork on which sandwich I would like . Because I did not want to get too close to the food with my dog. After placing my order I stepped back from the counter so that my dog would not be near the food bar as a courtesy to the other guests in the store. I was approached by Bobby the manager and told that my service animal needed to be on the floor. At this point, knowing that I was not going to spend any money in the store and patronize a business that discriminates against disabled people. I offered to walk outside with the manager as to not make a scene in the store.Once outside the store the manager told me repeatedly that it is Whole Foods policy that the dog has to be on the floor. I volunteered with the managers permission to call the health department to find out what the law is and how the law could go against the federal American with Disabilities Act. I also called Whole Foods Pacific Division to find out what Whole Foods service animal policies are. I am a little concerned that when the corporate office nobody in the corporate office knew the policies regarding disabled customers. It was my intention to remain at the store with the manager so that we could both find out what the policy is. Because, if I am wrong about the federal Disabilities Act I wanted to give the manager and apology. Unfortunately, my blood sugar had dropped and I had to seek out food.I was told buy Whole Foods in a follow-up phone call that the person I needed to speak with would call me by 4 p.m. .After being a loyal Whole Foods customer for 10 years I am seriously considering whether or not I will patronize this any longer. The way I was treated was very embarrassing being called out by the manager in front of a busy deli case.My friend who was with me at the time, had commented to me how embarrassing this encounter was. In a small town where everybody knows everyone his neighbors were staring at him.Every day, disabled people run into various forms of discrimination because employers do not train their staff on dealing with disabled guests. Im figuring that I do not need to ruin this post by quoting the Americans with Disabilities Act which could be found easily on the internet.Below is a picture of my dog Paris, myself and her proof of being a service animal. This picture was taken at Whole Foods while Bobby the manager watched.I wanted to document this encounter so all of the facts could be documented correctly.
