Rivet is a great mechanic this shop can work on any motorcycle and make it run great rivet worked on my Flathead and got it running perfect for the race of gentlemen I highly recommend this place
This is probably the 2nd or 3rd time I have sent my bike to Mike and his amazing staff.. so I thought it was time to write my own experience/review. Let me tell you how appreciative I am for having them make my bike feel and ride just right! Having a older vintage motorcycle definitely gives you a headache from time to time that’s for sure.. haha but I’m glad I came across Mike and his team. They pretty much do everything.. I was having issue with my motorcycle in the beginning due to the carbs .. it wasn’t timed right and certainly was dirty that needed a new kit. Upon doing that it ran but still didn’t feel quite right. After this flood we recently had in NJ my bike was storage kept and I guess the flood got in and was high since I was trying to turn my bike over but water kept coming out of the exhaust and wouldn’t turn on? Called mike and his team and said to leave the bike with them no problem but it might take awhile to have the bike back to me. I said okay.. after them diagnosing the bike it seems my bike had lots of water which they got rid of and it also needed a battery replacement due to the one I had which gave out a bad cell. Also made the timing and points right with the carbs .. now she runs beautifully.. a little rough on the edges but that’s okay because she’s old. Can’t thank you guys enough! You guys are GREAT! 5/5 from me
I was looking to stop taking both my dirt and street bikes to the dealership and wanted a good local mechanic. I ride KTM (street) and Beta (dirt). Mike and his crew worked on both several times. He is honest about timing to get the job done and pricing. Work has been flawless. Machines run great and are reliable. I highly recommend this shop to keep your wheels on the road or the dirt.
The guys at Standard are top notch and cut no corners when tuning, maintaining, and/or building all out race bikes. Knowledgeable and experienced from metrics to domestics, these guys know their stuff! My bike has been in the shop a couple times and every time it leaves it’s making more power and handling better.
First time using Standard Cycle. 2019 Indian Darkhorse Springfield. Dropped off on a Monday and was ready for pickup on Thursday. All 3 gentlemen I either met or spoke to on the phone, Mario, Mike....and the 3rd man I cannot remember were super friendly and helpful. Not going to get into too much detail but my bike was making weird noises, skipping while riding..etc. They fixed all the noises and riding issues, oil and filter change and also changed my handle bars out by my request. AWESOME SHOP! On top of that the price fair and reasonable, more competitive then other shops or dealers I have been too. They Earned a customer for life
Great customer service by phone and walk in. Mario did an awesome job replacing my throttle tube and grips-done in no time. Will do regular services in the future. 👍🏼👌🏼
Most knowledgeable motorcycle shop I have ever been too period. If you want it done right go to these guys !
Not sure if they know how to work on sportbikes. I found this place in Google search as one of the best places near me. I recently purchased a 2000 zx9r with 1500 miles and I needed the carburetors jetted. spoke to Mike or someone who explained to me that they had the perfect set up for my bike, it was wonderful to hear that,so I dropped my bike off and was told that it would be done next week, no problem. When I picked up the bike I was told that it mite need some minor tuning and to come back, that was a little weird to me cause it should have really no extra tuning if they had the perfect set up? next I noticed oil stains on my seat cover. that seat cover is a rare piece that cost me $120 to source. looks like it was left on work bench with no thought. next I never got back my old parts!?! which is even more weird because every bike Ive ever had work done too I got the old parts back. so riding the bike noticed that it back fires alot and has some hesitation at 6k. removed the gas tank to inspect, the air pump was still connected which has to be removed. It just seems the work was rushed when I would have preferred it to take longer and be right. I usually do my own work, carbs I leave to the pros. needless to say not happy with the work.
Standard Cycle Company is the most professional, honest, and reliable shop there is hands down. Mike and Mario go above and beyond for their customers to ensure they are receiving the highest level of service! They have done everything from general maintenance to full motor builds for me, and each time it has been an awesome experience! I wish every business operated like these guys!
Professional and Reasonable Prices!!!!😎😎😎
The guys are A1! I took my 07 zx14 to get flashed and they were very accommodating even though they were slammed with work! The bike feels incredible especially at higher rpms! The sluggish feel between 2nd and 3rd is gone and the acceleration is silky sooth.. The guys are pvery patient and explained everything they did...ACCELERATION IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Be careful with the replenishment machine .. takes money and nothing happens .. to prove that you bet something is impossible .. I was left without $ 20 more I and my family will not come there. although Im already there since the opening
After wasting my money on a dealership tune and not really being happy with it, I brought my bike to standard to make sure my bike is running at its best. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away, but boy was I wrong. Not only did they show me how bad the dealership tune was (literally dumping fuel at 3k which explained the vibration under throttle), but they made more power on top of smoothing out the entire power band. The bike is a whole other animal and now I have the comfort of knowing the engine is dialed in to perfection. They took care of me the second I brought the bike in all the way to picking it up. Even after having part delays (my fault). These guys are the best in the business for a reason and Mike is literally a tuning wizard.
Ive always heard good stories about Standard Cycle. Good work but a bit pricey was the most common. Recently I heard about someone going in for a tire change and the old tires were thrown away. Usually you get charged for this, otherwise you always get the tires back. Seems very suspicious to say the least.
Mario and crew understand the key to great service - under promise and over deliver. My bike was finished ahead of schedule, it was spotless, rode like a dream and it wad done all for a reasonable price. They are passionate about bikes, riding and doing the right by their customers.
Mario was nice and patient on the phone while listening to what was happening with my bike, so I dropped my bike off today. Mike was friendly, helpful, & listened to concerns. Well see how it goes.Update: After three trips back to SCC, they finally found the small, inconspicuous, broken wire that caused the problem. They couldnt find the problem the first few times bc the bike would run well for a while and then start acting up again. However, they persisted and finally found the problem! Great & understanding guys!
Great guys and great work.
Good work, decent price.
I love Mike and Mario, they are the only shop in NJ I can trust. Their business is not only a job, it is their lifestyle. Highly recommend!!
Great shop! I was super satisfied with the level of service and expertise. I highly recommend Standard Cycle Company!
Standard Cycle is Aces. Mike and Mario do great work. And will even help out when you mess up your own moto project. I was having trouble with my clutch and no luck fixing it. Mike was kind enough to let me bring the R6 in on short notice and trouble shoot the problem in about 3 seconds. Mike made a few adjustments and sent me on my way and refused to accept any payment.Standard Cycle has also worked on my other bikes and I’ve been very satisfied with their work and customer service. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
I cannot recommend standard cycle. They service my bike just recently and while the bikes service was fine, they scratched the fairings on my bike and removed parts that I did not ask to have removed. Then they lost the parts! They promised they would send them to me, but Ive heard nothing since. So - damaged motorcycle and parts missing. Im sorry - thats now how I do business.
Great Guys, Great mechanics, good people wouldnt take my bike anywhere else.
Great guys and a greasy facility
