Great art supply store and print shop. Seems well-oriented to university-level art, architecture, design, and STEM students, selling supply kits for some UC Berkeley courses. Store layout is cramped, but the staff is very helpful and willing to guide you to what you need.

I love the Inkstone. I’ve been making architectural large scale prints and buying art supplies here for years. Excellent service, they turn emailed prints around right away, very friendly and great selection. They also deliver plans with a little notice! Highly recommend!

Inkstone is a great store for a variety of reasons, including great customer service. Their prices are reasonable, and the new Telegraph Ave location is convenient. Alex and Seth are very knowledgeable and make the shopping experience a pleasure. So refreshing to see a Berkeley retail icon bringing top retail service, rather than turning into a bummer (see my review of once-awesome Moe’s). Bottom line: if you want my business be friendly. Whether it is art paper, paints, pens, or stationery, Inkstone has it at a good price. The Inkstone staff is naturally friendly and helpful. I love this place.❤️

Printing posters are fast and reliable here, and the Ink Stone staff are always helpful in answering questions or discussing options. The posters looks great too

This is a university art supply shop in a university town. Its basically heaven if you want to make things. High quality, heavy weight paper, lots of exact-o blades in various shapes, pens, pencils, paints- all mid to high quality at decent and fair prices. No stained glass equipment or other more niche hardware, but great for all 2d art

Found a cheap pen to experiment with calligraphy. Store has lots of inks, pens, paper and tools. Everything you need to have a successful project.

The Inkstand is perfection. Great support and advice, good prices and the best source of drafting supplies. Always the highest quality in all they do!

I went to Ink Stone to get some ink for some new fountain pens.There selection was decent, and the people working there knew what they were talking about. Id definitely go back.

Small independent. Sill a wide variety of supplys. And very reasonably priced on most things.

The employees are always helpful. However the store is fairly small & at the top of some steep stairs, so it can be difficult to find the first time.

Im not an architect, so I dont go here for drafting or anything. They have a pretty nice selection of pens (lots of rollerballs, sharpies, etc) and theyre sold individually, so you dont need to buy a huge 12 pack just to get one color. However, pretty much everything is sold individually, and can get pretty marked up too ($2 for ONE Mirado Black Warrior? Add another $1 in there and you can get 12 off Amazon). Id go here for one or two things for convenience, but youre still better off going to a bigger office supply store. All that said, the workers here are pretty relaxed and helpful, and I wouldnt mind paying a little too much for one or two things.

Maybe the best peace for poster printing in the Bay area. The staff is very friendly, too.

Expensive art and modelling supplies. They have a limited selection compared to larger art supply stores, but Inkstone is at a convenient location and produces really great paper plots, so it stays competitive as an option for college students.
