Anyone who likes to bake in the Bay Area should know about or at least visit Spun Sugar. The small yet fully stocked baking supply store is a place that inspires you to make something amazing. They even give lessons from their classroom in the back. When you Google search baking supplies in the Bay Area you won’t find many that have the stock that Spun Sugar has.

I live in SF, a major food city, yet I have to visit Berkeley just to shop at Spun Sugar! They have a fantastic collection of items for hard core dessert makers and stuff to make any novice cook look like a pro. Staff and service are awesome and they carry stuff I simply cannot get in quantities for a home cook (sure I can order a 5 pound container of pate a glacier from the manufacture but here I can get the single ounce I need for the one cake I am making!) Seriously, visit this shop, you will not leave disappointed!

Cool little place. If your a baker Im sure it would be an awesome place to get your supplies. I went in to get a sugar sheet to put on top of a cake. They took my picture and made it into sugar as the cake topper pretty awesome

You can get great selection of cookie cutters and supplies for making fancy cakes etc, without fancy prices. This is my go-to for holiday gingerbread house kit-- really good one--and Ive also gotten white and dark chocolates for making cookie pops. They also have summer classes for kids.

As a home baker, I order all of my high-quality chocolate in bulk from Spun Sugar. They have great prices, accurate shipping, and great customer service. No problems, and I am all the way across the country from them. GREAT BUSINESS!

This place has awesome little things for decorating cakes. If you dont see what you need, ask for it. The have lots of little things hidden behind the counter. Thanks for the bees!!!!

The best Macaroon cookies weve every had. Each time we travel to Berkeley we stop at Spun Sugar for mothers favorite cookies. Plus, the very best scones.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I was so excited to come here and learn more about baking but the instructor treated me like an idiot because I asked questions. She was the absolute worst, she doesnt let students bake themselves. When she does actually answer the question, she answers in the meanest tone possible. I asked her What happens when the graham crust gets stuck on the baking pan, and she responded with a mere because its raw, you did something wrong. She kept rushing me while I was making a banana cream pie. I cried on the way home.
