Ive bought a lot of new cars, but the experience with McKevitt (Yunuss and Owen) was extraordinary. Almost every detail was worked out via emails and phone calls days in advance, making my total time at the dealership about 2 hours. A record! And, when I arrived, I found that they had further discounted my new car - and increased their offer on my trade. Trust me. This never happens. Friendly, fair and fast. Thank you, gentlemen!
My buying experience here was great from start to finish! The entire team was very helpful, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Justin, Yunice and Juan were all very helpful and friendly with our custom order. Not every dealer is willing to custom order a car but these guys stepped it up! My wife and I were very undecided but these guys were very patent with us. Our order arrived in 3 months. I definitely recommend this dealership.
This review is for Nick Degennaro at Parts Department.Ive been trying to buy parts for a week through a Fiat dealership in Burlingame cause they are closer to my shop, but the service they provide at parts department is very poor and they do not answer phone calls for days, i called McKevitt Fiat and Nick Degennaro at parts answered right away and took care of me within five minutes, this is how you take care of a customer specially a new shop customer that now will always give you the business, thanks so much Nick.
McKevitt just helped me with a trade-in and a lease. Owen was the MOST accommodating. I let him know the model I wanted and he searched in and out of state to find me what I wanted all while keeping me informed. He and Mo made the process on the day I picked up the lease easy and pleasant. Looking forward to continued service support at this location.
Fast service. Very polite. Answered all our questions. Easy and simple
I have never leased a car and was very nervous but they sure did make the experience easy and reassuring that I was making the right decision. I definitely recommend that others go there before they go to any other dealership
Great staff. very knowledgable. fair pricing. definitely going there for my next purchase
Friendly staff who were attentive while providing top-notch customer service. The overall team exceeded expectations as I left my vehicle for (recall) service. I received it way ahead of the projected time of completion.
I like McKevitt, bought 2 new Fiat 500 POPs there but service costs a fortune. Both my cars got totaled and sadly they dont make that model any more but they were the funnest, fastest, cheapest to buy and operate cars I ever owned.
Just bought a Dodge Challenger and Justin was awesome, keeping me informed every step of the way and always going the extra mile. Excellent service!
The staff was amazing! Friendly and patient without any pressure…great experience!!
My husband and I just got a brand new jeep wrangler 2020! So happy! The service from all the crew was amazingly smooth...Rigo, the sales man guy, was super smart, humble, and always ready to please my needs as a customer! In all honesty, I truly recommend you to come over if youre chasing a new jeep! It would be worth it without doubts.
Im a long term customer with McKevitt Berkeley. The Service Department has always been straight with me when it comes to service and warranty work.Took my Giulia in today to have a key fob programed. Darrell in Service set up my appointment when I was in the week prior to purchase the key fob. Willie helped me out at the time of my appointment. Both gentlemen were courteous and professional. Customer Service is spot on. Also had a brief and pleasant conversation with Service Manager Todd.Overall another positive experience with the Service department. I will return for future service and highly recommend them for Alfa Romeo and Fiat service.
Awsome people here. Owen, Blossom, and Moe took care of us and had us out of here which is what I wanted.
Theyre pretty good when it comes to a service. The main thing that annoys me is whenever they change my oil and rotate tires, they never include the spare tire in the rotation. Its a Wrangler and its right there, just remember to specify this. If you ever want to change your tire brand or if you need to use the spare, youll be stuck with one perfect tire that is now unbalanced with the rest.
I love these guys.Prices are super fair, especially for being a dealership.Customer service is excellent.Paul the service manager is top notch and a really good guy.Willy the service rep is always great and keeps you in check. The mechanics are total pros. The service staff are organized, on the ball and very friendly.I have had my Dodge Challenger R/T and my wifes Lexus regularly serviced at McKevitt for the last 3 years. I have never had a single issue, we are always satisfied.Ive lived in NYC, LA and now the Bay Area. This is the best service dealership Ive ever had.Period.I highly recommend.
Ask for Rigo vergara. The guy understands customer service and gets it done. You won’t be disappointed.
Screwed up registration on my new truck which is taking hours to try to fix. They are definitely NOT competent in this department, and put down 15K as the unladen weight on my pickup (it’s GVWR is only 10K), kicking it into CVRA which a now need to use a certified scale and a trip to the DMV to fix.
I recently purchased a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at Mckevitt. Mr. Isaaq was a pleasure to deal with. Mr. Isaaq was very reasonable in offering me a deal that I was comfortable with. Overall, an excellent experience.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not pressure us into anything. Justin was awesome and easy to deal with!
After calling several other places to fix m jeep, I called McKevitt Chrysler, and spoke to Carlos. He told me yes, bring it over we can help!I did, and they fixed my jeep! Carlos stayed in touch by letting me know what was needed and asking the ok to go ahead with parts and cost of it.All work was done and Im driving my jeep!! Thank you, Carlos!!
Went in over the weekend to get a trade-in appraisal and a quote for leasing a new vehicle. Handed over my keys to have their staff appraise the vehicle. Appraisal was significantly underpriced (used the tires as an excuse) and dealership was quoting monthly leasing prices 2x higher than the manufacturer stated lease specials. Repeatedly attempted to push me into agreeing to their lease and trade in offer. I had to ask the dealership for my keys back 3 separate times before they returned them to me and finally stated that the price difference in prices is due to them no longer working with Chrysler Financial (because of Covid?).
HI dealt with both Rigo and Juan for my new Ram truck purchase and I couldnt be happier!!! Rigo is relatively new to the business and although green, he made up for it with being attentive, communicative and really kept me up to date during the entire process. I was ready to buy a 2020 Ram 1500 and Rigo and Juan convinced me that the upgrades on the 2021 were worth the wait. I needed to wait about 8 weeks and they kept me in the loop the entire time. The Truck arrived about 10 days early and they picked it up and got the truck to me right away! I would refer Rigo and Juan without hesitation!
After shopping the market for medium to small SUVs, such as Subaru Outback and Forrester, I recently purchased a new 2020 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 (Limited—High Altitude) from McKevitt Jeep dealership in Berkeley. I worked with salesman Justin Null and managers Yunuss Isaaq and Mo. Because I commute often to a home up the Kingsbury Grade in Nevada near Heavenly, I preferred the Jeep’s true 4x4 with real transmission gears to the Subaru’s all-wheel drive and CVT transmission. My review of articles complaining about the reliability and repair history of continuously variable transmissions (belts or chains instead of gears) persuaded me that the primary advantage of this technology is augmented gas mileage, not superior driving performance and repair reliability. Also, I’m more comfortable with Jeep’s interior layout because I’ve come to enjoy my experience over the last couple of years in my husband’s 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 (Trailhawk). I found the negotiating process minimally anxiety-provoking. I did not experience a hard sell from Justin, who sought to close a sale using enhanced incentives. I especially appreciate the service I received after the sale. I found a failure in the Sirius/XM OnGuard communication system, and received the run-around from the two sets of customer service at Guardian and Uconnect, each of whom literally said: “It’s not us, it’s them, we’re not allowed to help you with that service.” When I returned with the vehicle, the management, sales, and service departments at McKevitt did not delay in ameliorating the problem and apologized for not having discovered the problem in the pre-delivery detailing and inspection, which included filling up the gas tank (unique in my long experience with car dealerships). Some days later, I remain very pleased with my purchase, and look forward to receiving years of continued good service on the extended maintenance and warranty I purchased.
I cannot say enough about how helpful Sales Associate Manny Singh was to work with on the lease of my new Jeep Cherokee. I had inquired online asking for their best out the door price. Manny emailed me back quickly thereafter. The next day he sent me a very fair deal on the vehicle. It exceeded the amount I expected them to take off the sales price, to my surprise! I had researched the same car at several different dealerships and this was the best deal and the best sales person I worked with. He answered every single question quickly and thoroughly, even answering at night when I didnt expect him to because I knew the dealership was closed. When I went in for the test drive, Manny was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He had everything saved we had talked about and the financing process went extremely smoothly. Omar, the Finance Officer, was also very friendly and efficient. They were honest and there were no gimmicks! I will definitely be back for future business and will recommend this dealership, and especially Manny to friends!
Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly smile, but my experience started online with a simple search of a used vehicle. Easy & informative website brought me in to see a SUV in person.I felt no pressure to buy and couldn’t be happier with the prompt service I received. It’s was nice to share pics and stories of our pets with the staff. Only a few days with my new ride & will gladly give a big double thumbs up & 5 stars. Thanks Justin & Alfonso!!
Amazing experience with Justin and the whole team! So thankful they were able to help me get rid of 2 cars and replace with 1 perfect Fiat. They bent over backwards to make it happen for me, and I am so grateful!
Ok I was blown away at the help received for the purchase of my Jeep.I was a bit picky trying to find a good balance in value and the right fit for my family. Yunuss Isaaq (Sales Manager) and his sales team (Justin Null) were very patient and helped me find the right jeep. And the right jeep was not even in their inventory. So Yunuss worked with another dealer to acquire the jeep I wanted. And also where most dealers in our area are charging 4-5K above MSRP, Yunuss and staff really worked on a fair deal far below the other dealers. I was really surprised as I had beentrying to work deals with other dealerships to no avail. I live in the South Bay, but I drove to Berkeley (30miles one way) because I was so impressed with Yunuss and staff. And all I can say is it was well worth the drive. If you are in market for a new vehicle, jeep, dodge etc.. Please do not waste your time looking elsewhere. Go see Yunuss and staff. You will not regret it.
I brought the vehicle in on a Wednesday for an oil change and for a check on an engine on-off function. I did not get my vehicle out of the shop until the following Tuesday. Communication was horrible. Trying to get status updates over the phone was impossible. Voicemails without response. I had to resort to stopping in just to figure out when my vehicle might be available. My battery died while it was in the shop. It took over a day to discover that. They did call to report that they could swap it out for ~$350, (almost $200 more than AAA charges for a battery with a 6 year guarantee). I should give them 2 stars for allowing AAA to come into their shop to replace it...unusual, but the service rep Sergio was really pleasant about it). Aside from being pleasant, I would expect that over 6 days time, I’d be able to connect with real people, get requested call backs, and stay in better touch about status updates. McKevitt, get your customer service in order. 6 days for an oil change and battery replacement is too much!
Fantastic service buying a new Jeep. They went above and beyond to make the process seamless. I was very happy with the service and the price.
Low key and no pressure dealer. My SO called to ask if they could match dealer discount from other dealer, they got back to us within hours. They were straight forward, honest and not nickel and dime like other Chrysler dealers we went to. We asked many places to give us the best deal they have over text/email. No one could give us a straight answer. This place didnt play game. They emailed us what we asked, followed up with our commitment. We went to get the car, had all the paperwork processed in 90min along with car detailing. Best car shopping experience so far.
Review for the service department only:Im fairly happy with the staff from the service department. They get me checked in fairly quickly and have been good at estimates and final costs. Theyve made recommendations for additional work but arent pushy when you opt out of it.In the office itself few bench spaces which are really for the short wait for your car to be delivered. The waiting area is off to the side of the show room which kinda feels like an after thought. They should look at Honda of Oakland for how to make a good waiting room. They may not see the same volume, but its a standard I hold other organizations to.I do not care for the checkout process. You dont interact with your coordinator unless you specifically ask for it. Just go to the cash register and pay, then they get your car. I guess they figure its taken care of when they call you to let you know your vehicle is done. Id rather have a better level of customer service where they review the status of your vehicle with you after scheduled maintenance.
UPDATE. Finally got the help i needed and bumped it up.Good initial sales experience. Terrible follow-up service. I called multiple times to get simple questions answered and always get transferred to voicemail or never get call backs. Had lots of attention prior to purchase. Little to none after... Avoid them if you can.ALWAYS REMEMBER. Nowadays at least half of positive reviews are faked so be careful out there and read them. Usually you can tell.
Excellent customer service, I purchased a Jeep and traded in my car. The salesperson Rebecca was very helpful and made things happen very fast and easy. Everyone on the sales floor helped make my experience go very smoothly from giving me a fare price for my trade to finishing the paperwork on my purchase. I will definitely return for my next purchase.
Let me say how excited I am that I found Berkeley dodge and the service manager Matt Kelley he helped me find a on going problem with my vehicle that 3 different dealership could not figure out . He was a gentleman and listened to what I had to say and didn’t just brush me off . He drove with me after the repairs were finished an I happily paid my bill. you now have a customer for lifeThank You
A friendly and competent service organization. Very expensive though.
Friendly,fast, and easy process
Top notch Dealership! Excellent service!! Plenty of vehicles to choose from. Dont see what you want? Theyll build it for you!! I drove away with a very happy experience! Thanks Drew!!
Worst service Do not buy vehicles from here you will regret it.
After countless hours of research and searching for a vehicle that fits my needs, I came into this dealership after a few other dealership that didnt know their product. Mark, the product specialist, helped me out by explaining the features and was very knowledgeable about the 2015 Dodge Challenger. The car I was looking for. I recommend anyone that needs information or wants excellent service to contact Mark at this dealership. You wont regret the visit.
I was really impressed with the professionalism and quality of service that we received. They didnt oversell anything and listened to my decisions as a customer. They provided a free shuttle to the BART station (which is normally charged for). They also gave us 2 free Chrysler keys with our other services (which the service representative had said would be $350 a piece or $90 to repair the knock off we had that had broken). Would definitely recommend.
Nice helpful people, low pressure, website has everything and you can ask them to pull out any car in their inventory for a test drive. We ended up liking the dealer so much we bought a new car! So far I love the car and havent had any issues!
I purchased my 2017 Jeep Cherokee from this location which was the ONLY good interaction here. Otherwise, to lend you all a word of advice, go to Hilltop. These guys do not know how to service your car. They cant answer questions. The employee turnaround was terrible. My problem existed for MONTHS without any communication from this team and so much time without my car. No loaner. Example of the terrible service: I dropped my car off one morning and needed a ride to the train station. They told me it would be over an hour wait. I walked with 5 heavy bags in my hand to the train instead of someone taking me in my own car. They took an extremely long time to get me my car back, when I told them I was leaving out of town and they would need to hold it a few days, they threatened to charge me storage fees and told me they would park it on the street. They also mentioned nonchalantly that if I got any parking tickets, it was not on them to pay. I went to Hilltop and they took such great care of me. Save yourself time, hassle and the frustration. Dont go here.
Prospective McKevitt Fiat or Volvo Buyers: Steer Clear! Rude, demeaning sales rep, poorly run Dealership…Long story short, today’s escapade at McKevitt was nothing short of a disaster. It all started when the general manager yelled at me, for no reason at all, claiming I made up my annual income and was out to scam the dealership. The sales associate (Christian) yelled at me and ordered me to leave their lot. He then went as far as saying he would call the police if I didn’t leave.I was completely taken back by the sales associate; especially since this was supposed to be the most exciting purchase of my life (buying a car that I had saved years to pay with cash…) His claims were neurotic and completely untrue. He ordered to see proof of funds; which I showed and he still didn’t believe me.At the end of the whole exchange, I felt verbally abused and was completely demeaned. I hope the Owner of McKevitt sees this and follows up with me because at this point an apology is in order. For those of you looking for quality cars I would go to Fletcher Johnson or the Fremont Auto Mall, it will save you the time and their customer service ultimately earned my business.
Moved in bay area recently, bought my jeep grand Cherokee in Flagstaff Arizona. I lost my wheel locks key and called them. First thing they asked me was if I was a Walnut Creek customer. When I said that I just moved here they immediately told me oh ok even before they asked me why I was calling for, then they said well give me your contacts, well call yo back.Guess what, never heard from them, called another time, same thing and never called back.If you didnt buy your vehicle, not worst a phone call they really dont care.Very poor customer service.
Brought my SRT in with a stall at idle issue. They plugged in a code reader. Didnt see any codes that were related, so they had me pick it up and charged me $200. Car still had the same issue. After doing some research, I found a bad intake temp sensor. No grommet, broken housing. Had the tech bothered to open the hood he would have seen it. After telling the manager, he basically told me tough luck. Made it clear he didnt care about me, my car or my business. If youre having mechanical issues, take your car elsewhere. Unless you feel good about flushing your money down the toilet.
Great consistent customer service beautiful showrooms and super clean bathrooms!
I took my car in on a recall that I wasnt notified about car kept slipping out of gear while I was driving it and it would cause the engine to shut off. When I got there they told me there was a recall on the clutch. When I got there to pick it up they said they had replace the clutch pedals the covers the foot part . I was taken back by that why would they just cover the foot pedals with some new Rubber and not address the issue . I had other work to be done on the car as well one being a knob that had fallen off of my 2015 Fiat 500 air conditioner unit. They supposedly did all this work within 3 hour time frame. Someone called me from the dealership and told me it was ready for pickup. Just soon as I drove off the knob they were supposed to fix fell right off. Needless to say two weeks later my car is back for the same recall issue. I dont believe they did any work on the car at all. Very suspicious of them and their quality of work, if theyre doing any at all. Sad and disappointed. If you cant trust the dealership who can you trust right.Kari D
Took my Jeep Wrangler in for the airbag recall. When they brought my Jeep around for me to leave they showed me my air filter and recommended that I replace it, I didnt at that time because of the outrageous price they wanted for a filter knowing I could get one much cheaper and change it myself. Also, the glove box door was open and would not close. They had to remove the GB door to do the recall work. I do have an aftermarket GB and it should have gone back in the same way they took it out but apparently a glove box door is smarter than the tech. Last night I change out the air filter. The clips that keep the two sides of the breather box had not been put back on and the dirty air filter had been put back in upside down so the throttle body sucked all the crud and dirt down into the motor. Never again will I go back to McKevitt Jeep for any reason in the future.
This was one of the best places to go. I came here a couple weeks ago and Mark Ramos helped me out. I tried out a Fiat 500 and he told me he owned one too. He told me the pros and cons and I was intrigued. After test-driving it, I was really interested but needed to confirm with my family. I will be back soon enough to purchase and it will be with Mark! Thanks for all the help and I will definitely recommend this to family and friends.
Took my car in for repairs: the mechanics are unskilled and cant diagnose issues properly on a factory line, unmodified car. The employees behind the desk are trained to hit you with huge charges for things you dont need. I repeatedly had to correct them on repair suggestions they made. The service advisor Paul was particularly bad: tried to charge me $200 for a change of engine coolant, $600 for change of front axel seals, $80 for an alignment. I did not need any of those things. What I did need was my headlights reoriented, the back wheel studs replaced, and a front suspension shutter repaired. Paul said would have a price quote on those things by the end of the day. 5 days and 8 phone calls later I ended up storming the dealership to rescue my vehicle. Still no quote and they tried to keep my car there by letting the battery die. They said there was no one available to replace the battery so I ended up jumping the car and escaping the dealership.Worst customer service in the area, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If you dont know anything about cars prepare to empty your wallet for no repairs. If you do know a thing or two about cars, prepare to get ripped off and infuriated.
$129.00 oil change for a Jeep Wrangler!Eep!That’s so crazy it’s silly. Check out Walnut Creek Jeep Dealer instead. Theirs was $59.00. Seriously. I used use McKevitt, but it’s worth the money and time going to an off-brand shop or heading to Walnut Creek.Since they sent me all the way into the shop before telling me the premium pricing I thought I’d give others a heads up.
I came in to the the dealership looking to purchase a car. Mark Adrian the sales consultant helped me out showing the specs and features for a 2015 jeep wrangle, I was very surprise of his knowledge and professionalism showing that he has experience in sales showing me to trust him, he gave me the best deal ever. Sales manager Paul Z. made the processes easy and quick..... I recommend going to this dealership!!!
Mark Adrian is a great associate. I wanted to get in and get out right after work and he made it happen. I honestly have had numerous cars and this was the easiest transaction. The moment I walked in I got good vibes from this place and didnt feel pressured.I love my JEEP!!! Thank you Adrian!
Bought my Jeep there January 2017. The salesman did not know what the heck he was selling. He didnt know what functions the car has. The guy(A) that did my financing threatened me if I dont get the warranty packages, my interest rate would be 10%. If Id get it, it would be around 5%. And he said that I could cancel all the packages once I refinanced. So I added all that packages into my agreement. I didnt get the car the day I bought it because it wasnt cleaned. I went there the next day at night time to pick it up. The car wasnt detailed AT ALL. Scratches all over my car. Tape marks were still on the pillar panel. I sent pictures to the salesman and A. A came to my work and drove my car back to the dealership to have it cleaned. But it came back the SAME. Tape marks and scratches were still there. I work Monday to Friday in San Francisco. I didnt want to take off work just to get this done because of their fault, and I couldnt go on my day offs, because service close on Saturday. So I let it be.They even deliver the car empty. By empty I meant there was no drivers manual, no window sticker. I had to cross the bridge and go over there again to get the manual. They threw away my window sticker and it cant be ordered. GREAT.On June 2017, I refinanced my car and brought the paperwork in to get my refund for the packages. Three months later, nothing came from the mail nor to the Lien holder. On September and December 2017, I emailed the A many times. He said it was processed a while back but he cant check because he was on sick leave and told me to contact Karen at the dealership. I called the dealership, this Karen had already quit. So I stopped by at the dealership on a Saturday in January 2018. And this new guy(B) helped me look into my file and couldnt find my refinancing paper that I brought in back in June 2017. He said he would look into it. End of January, B said the packages were cancelled quite some time ago, just need to find out where the check was sent. That shouldnt take a lot of time. But I waited for another month. On 2/28/18, I went to the dealership for some brake pad and rotor manufacture defect issues, and wanted to talk to him for updates. He wasnt there. He will return to work the following Monday. And then this General Sales Manager looked into my file and said he would give me a call the next day before 12pm. And it is 3/7/18 today. No call, no email. I called him today and emailed B on 3/2/18. Guess what? B didnt reply. The GSM didnt answer the phone.I would give this dealership a negative star rating if that option is available. If you want to make your life a bit easier, dont go to this dealership. Ive had enough headaches from these people.
The service department here is awful. I have a Fiat and Chrysler and Id rather drive to Fremont than deal with these folks. I actually left crying once! They told me a service was NOT covered under warranty recently and said Id have to pay thousands. Blamed me personally for the issue. Didnt call me back in time to pick up the car same day either. I took it to Fremont, explained what happened and without even looking at the car they gave me a rental and assured me it was covered under warranty. McKevitt needs a lesson in customer service! Will NOT be going back here and will warn others in my Fiat and Electric car social media groups to do the same.
My company purchased a new 2018 Ram ProMaster, the initial meeting was satisfactory, so I scheduled an appointment for my boss to go in and sign the loan docs and take away a vehicle. We were called the morning of, notifying us that there was a delay due to traffic and so we adjusted our schedule and arrived appropriately. We were not notified additionally that our salesperson was caught up in more traffic than anticipated and we waited another hour for her arrival. All then went as planned... We signed the docs, were told that our second key had been lost, but they would MAIL OR DROP OFF the new one once it was available. We did not complete a full inspection of the vehicle (my bad... and theirs), as my boss starts to drive away, I notice a large dent in the passenger side door which I immediately notified the salesperson. She said they would obviously remedy this, and thought they might be able to send someone to my shop for the repair.Long story a little shorter, I was required to bring the vehicle back to their location for BOTH, the dent and the programming of the key.At the end of October, I received my license plates from the DMV, I purchased a commercial vehicle, but received passenger vehicle plates, which as delayed my ability to have register the vehicle for commercial parking in SF (which is a huge deal). At first they wanted me to deal with this... which in hindsight I should have, since after several emails and a voicemail to the manager, I sill do not know the status of my registration. The mistakes are mistakes... Apparently my salesperson, as well as the finance person were both new... But these delays have cost me both time and money, and I am still having to work to get an update on the status of my registration...
I bought my car there new three and a half years ago and theyre great! Its a small dealership so you need to schedule service but a lot of times they can accommodate you the same day. Sam and Paul run the service counter and theyre very nice. Mike and parts is also very helpful and knowledgeable. They also are one of the few places that offer Cilajet paint coating applications and great detailing services. I had the coating put on my car inside and out when I bought it and Ive never waxed it ever. Water beads on it everytime it rains. Its worth every penny its not a gimmick or something you can do yourself. Its only for putting on new cars. You even get a 10-year warranty. They put a second coat on for free after 5 years and if your paint starts to go bad if they warranty your paint.
Love our 2020 Blacked out Durango, go see Josue Sanchez in sales, good guy!
Their service was actually too much. They rotated my tires as they should if I had.factiry or regular rims, but I have customed staggered rims that cant be rotated. If they asked me before just doing what they normally do, I would have told them what they needed to know & saved myself a weekend without my car while they figured out their mistake. So my only real complaint is that they dont communicate well with customers in service dept.
I went a couple of months ago just looking around at my options and when I got there one of the product specialists named Mark helped me out. He was really helpful and answered all my questions since I do not know much about cars. I got amazing customer service throughout my whole experience including the test drive.
Have been to this dealership since 2015 for maintenance of my Jeep Renegade. technicians are professional, services are high efficient and they can find problems quickly and solve them. recommend to FCA vehicle owners. only one thing is that the online appointment system vehicle type drop-down list doesnt list Renegade, so every time when I make an appointment I have to choose Wrangler......could someone fix that? Thanks.
This is the worst place you can go to. no one at this dealer seems to care about customer service. I called them for a weather stripping replacement, they said they couldnt locate the part number on their computer and, had to bring the car in. I took the car in for early bird service, they said the part department isnt open yet and they would give me a call as soon as they open. 12pm no one called! I called their parts department, they had no clue that even my car was in there, they transferred me to service no one picked up. it went to voicemail with the name of Sergio, I left a voicemail then tried the front desk. the lady picked up I explained to her my frustration and asked why am I not getting any answers. she didnt seem to care and transferred me to the same voicemail. so I called again and asked nicely if she could have someone please call me as soon as they are free. 2PM no one called. I called them again got the same lady she transferred me to the service after 15 min of hold someone picked up asked for my name and said he was going to check he put me on hold for another 15min then the phone hung up. I am going to go there and get my car back, and take my business elsewhere. never going back there again. this is a rock bottom of customer service. Shame on theme
I paid $600 to get my fluids checked and it took 5 hourd
These guys have absolutely no idea what they’re doing in service, and then when you ask for help .... nothing. I’d give them minus five if I could.
These people are dishonest and give very bad customer service. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They will charge you for service your car does not need and also never follow through. They tried to sell me a part I did not need and then when I did not want it they would not give me a refund. They have also tried to over charge me on about every service I have done. I will never go back and I suggest not going to save your self some stress from having to check there every move and follow up on every promise they make..
The Chrysler dealerships Ive been to in Antioch and Vallejo, have been very unpleasant to visit. This dealership, from the service department to the sales and parts department have been extremely helpful. My experience with their customer service has been excellent and very efficient
Advertised a car for sale but would never call back when we asked about it, just got the run around to leave messages for 3 different salesmen. Drove down there the next day, to be told it was sold to an employee. They couldve at least told us that in 3+ calls, or dont advertise something they dont have to sell.At least the receptionist was very nice.
Took them 4 days to pull codes on my brand new Jeep JL and charged me $200 for the privilege. My AC module completely failed and was under warranty. Originally refused to work on it because my JEEP was dusty. Then refused to work on it because my car has an aftermarket sound system. Would give them -5 stars if I could. Then the car wouldnt turn over when I went to pick it up. This effectively made it so that they had to keep my car. They told me that they would not be working on it that day. This is after charging me and giving me the report which clearly stated that the AC module failed all codes. Seriously you dont have to be and electricial engineer to know that the ac module is broken. They wanted to charge me to put my expensive aftermarket sound system back to stock. Car has now been on the lot for a week and has more problems than when I dropped it off. You cant even make this stuff up. I have the top of the line Jeep warranty and I was never offered a rental (in the warranty agreement, part of jeep wave program). To think that these guys made my car worse, were touching components completely unrelated to the problem which was clearly diagnosed and Im forced to have them remedy because the car will not start and cannot leave thier lot makes my blood boil. AVOID AT ALL COST.
Worst place in the country. Sold extended warranty 2 times the MSRP. Had to deal with the trouble to cancel it. Would not recommend the place to anyone!!! Avoid it.
Terrific customer service from both Ryan and Ali before, during and after my wife and I bought our new electric Fiat 500. Easy going yet informative, they both made the experience stress free and fun. Totally suggest connecting with them at McKevitt Fiat in Berkeley.
I bought a jeep Cherokee they didnt have the one I wanted . They found it for me and they didnt charge me for a transportation. These 2 young man that helped me were very professional they are going places . Look for Giovanny and Mark Adrian. They will take care of you .The sales manager Paul and Ali were also helpful . Over all 5 because there isnt 6 stars . Thank you guys.
Walked in to the dealership and was looking at a pre owned certified vehicle. Mark Adrian the sale associate helped me out with a testdrive on a 2011 mini cooper. He explained the features very proficiently and was easy to understand. In the process i ended up purchasing that vehicle that day. The sales manager and finance manager were very professional and knew what they were doing. At the end of experience i was very satisfied. I recommend anyone that wants to purchase a vehicle come to this dealership.
This place is the worst for service. Please do not give them a dime. Our vehicle was promised by 4pm on Friday, then we were told, “Sorry, we weren’t able to finish, we’ll need to keep it over the weekend and it will be done by noon on Monday.” By 4pm on Monday I called to inquire about the status and was told that it was ready, but oops, nobody called you and the shuttle stops running on 3pm. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there wasn’t one.
Really great people
Had a Great Experience with all staff members very friendly. I went in because I saw the car I wanted online and I came out with it . Very excited the guys really worked with me to get my New 2018 Charger Scat Pack . Thank you
Professional, Efficient and in my case, Fast..
GREAT SERVICE TEAM!My 2014 Grandcaravan started making a bad sound. Called several Dodge places around the bay, got told they couldnt fix it or get it in the shop for several weeks. Wille at Mckevitt, said if you can bring it today or tomorrow we will get to it right away. He also got a rental van for us as we had already planned to take a short trip. He called to update me along every step, as at first we werent sure it was going to be covered under warranty. But Willie called to say it was, but might be several days waiting or the part (torque plate). Called me 3 days later, said the part was here, and they would have it ready the next day. Excellent! Everyone was friendly and professional, and very timely. Best experience I have ever had with a dealership service dept. Thank you guys.
Everyone was kind, professional, and accommodating!
I’m only leaving a review in hopes that people won’t make the same mistake I made. I took my Jeep in December 2018 and never did the work they recommended. It’s the end of February and everything works well without doing what this place recommended. Save yourself $200 for the stupid diagnosis that is just a rip off. McKevitt Jeep is terrible. I took my Jeep in because my dashboard lights were not turning on. I made a appointment paid $200 for a diagnosis and waited 2 hrs just for the mechanic to not even be able to explain what was wrong. The mechanic said that I probably had to change the dashboard switch or that I had a short circuit somewhere. The estimate came out to over $500!!! When the mechanic returned my car he said the dashboard lights were back on. I walk up to my Jeep and turn on my car the mechanic had left a screw out from where you plug the obd2 scanner and the dashboard light was not turning on. I go back inside the dealership and ask for the mechanic and he comes out and tells me that the dashboard lights don’t turn on because I haven’t done the work they recommend. The receptionist goes to my car to screw in the screw the mechanic left out. I accept the car back and drive home, $200 for nothing. I do my own research on what could be going on. I locate the fuse box and the fuse that is for the dashboard, pull it out look at it to see if it’s broken. The fuse was not broken so I put it back in. Turn on the car and BAMMM! EVERYTHING TURNS ON!!! Thank God!!! It was not the switch or a short circuit. Sometimes you just have to do your own research and not believe these mechanics. I learned my lesson and don’t trust them. The mechanic could have easily pulled out the fuse if he really wanted to help but since they don’t make money helping someone out he didn’t! Next time I need service I will definitely never go back here. I’m a 23 year old female that ended up knowing more than these so called “mechanics”.
They take care of business. Always ready to answer questions. Very respectful.
I wish there service department was more proactive. For example if I bring the car in for an odd issue and its within a month or two of a scheduled maintenance maybe mention it?
Cars o2 sensor was not ready after battery died and even after driving 4,000 miles, I explained it to these guys, they took the car and reset the PCM told me to drive 200 miles, and that they would diagnose it for free if it still not set. Drove 350 miles, still not ready, drove to the service dept again, the bald man was rude and told me to leave because I didnt have an appointment. Went inside and Sergio took the car and did the diagnosis, saw it still wasnt ready and told me to keep driving. I pleaded for them to check o2 sensors and cats but they refused said to keep driving and go to the smog referree to get an exemption if it still doesnt set. Took it to Lithia instead. Rude and incompetent, dont waste your time here go else where.Update: Lithia took the vehicle, opened a case with Chrysler, troubleshooted the problem, and found it was a bad PCM module, replaced it, all good now. McKevitt refused to do any service at all. SAD
I brought my Jeep in to have the breaks fixed and paid $1000 for the repairs. I ended up having to bring it in a total of 3 times for them to finally get the breaks to stop squeaking and functioning properly. When I mentioned this inconvenience to the manager, Paul, he brushed me off and did not offer any incentives to return to his business in the future. In addition, when I got in my Jeep to leave the lot, the floor mats, inside door panel, and sun visor were all covered in dirt and grease. I will never be back to McKevitt and I suggest any consumer avoid it at all costs.
Worst customer service I have ever had . They kicked us out the building and had us standing outside in the sun
For anyone that has purchased a car in the past, all of those preconceived notions of taking all day going back and forth etc is nothing Ive experienced at McKevitts in Berkeley. Mark showed me exactly what I was looking for, was knowledgeable about the vehicle & I was signing on the dotted line in no time. Great experience, staff is friendly & would definitely make a recommendation. Ive only owned Toyotas, so this is my first Fiat & I would certainly come back again!
Awesome sales consultant, highly recommended named Giovanny Garcia. If one day you are going to this dealer make sure you will have a little discussion with this guy. Nice person and knowledgable!
Great customer service from Mark. Recommended. Came in for an appointment. He is a great consultant and gave great info on car buying.
Got a major service done on my car and couldnt be any happier on the time of completion vs. time promised to me. Being busy, I never had the time to service my car. Paul in the service department made it simple for me to drop off the car and pick it up in one good happy experience. Thanks, Paul!
Had a really bad experience, could get no true information up front I ended up financing a truck with a co signer that I was told did not need to be there while at the same time telling me there ready to fill the tank up and get it ready for me to take home “today”. At around 3:30pm they then tell me we need the co signer present to sign the paperwork for me to take the truck home. So my co signer would have been able to come in person and make it there by 5:00pm in which I was told they don’t handle any paperwork after 5:00pm because they were closing at 5:00pm. So I then ask what my options where and they told me “ you can bring paperwork to the co signer and bring it back or we can fedex ship the paperwork overnighted, so I start making arrangements for the co signer to meet half way because they told me there was an option to bring the paperwork to the co signer to sign and after making arrangements to meet that co signer half way and having the co signer already in the car they then take that option away, & express that it can only be done by certified mail. Then after all of this frustration I still went forward and they told me it’ll be a few minutes until I can sign the paperwork, & that few minutes lasted from 3:45pm and didn’t even get to the sales rep to sign paperwork until 5:15pm keep in mind I was told they did no paperwork after 5:00pm so again for the 3rd time I could have had the co signer present if someone had the knowledge on what was going on and could relay this to the person putting a lot of money into a purchase. While waiting from 3:45pm-5:15pm to sign paperwork we where told there were people ahead of us while I sat and watched every employee sit and converse laughing and working on nothing. Now I’m calling to check in on paperwork that was supposed to be over nighted to the co signer that I was promised would go out the next day and was told I’d get a call back on the status and here I am writing a review 1.5 hours later when I was told I’d get called back in a few minutes. I am so ashamed of this experience I’ve put everything I’ve got to be able to get my first real nice truck and I feel like as soon as you sign the paperwork your no longer important and I really expected more. I have a lot of family and friends who are starting out and looking to purchase a new car, and I can definitely say I would not recommend this dealership.
False advertising! Beware of Sergio Fernandez in service. He didnt want to honor THEIR coupon, and started making BS up about special oil and special filter. Yes, thats expected for the few extra dollars, not what he wanted to bill me. If they dont want to honor THEIR coupon for oil change, what make you think Im bringing it here for any major service? Synora McKevitt!
I bought a Chrysler 200 sport from Mark Adrian and Giovanny Garcia. Both very professional and helpful. Look for this guys .They will take care of you
Bought a used RAV4 from Ryan, who invited me to stay in the service department family if the car needed any work and oil changes. Over the top wonderful customer service and sales experience.
McKevitts had my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo in for an oil leak. McKevitts had it for seven days offering a poor diagnostic and putcome of just an oil change. $270.00 for seven days, pluss time off work for the vorrection to ne an oil change! You reap what you sow.
Customer service is pretty horrible. They hardly answer the phone. When they did they ask for my number and say they will call back but never do.
Just going straight to the point. Gio Garcia is the only sale person you have to look for at the McKevit Chrysler dealer. So knowledgable and will do everything for you to find you a perfect deal. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately I will not buy a car from this Dealership again, only follow up to make the sale. The rear tires had 3/32 tread left and the GM refused to do anything( Drew) about it. Said take the sell or not Im ok either way. Extremely rude. I called the sales manager no follow up or call return.
