Its OK. Owner was a nice guy, polite, Coffee is fine, had a cup of drip. Atmosphere is loud refrigeration from drink coolers, and the place could use a cleaning, the pastries were in saran wrap from yesterday. Had a good walk getting here.

Love the heck out of this place! Hazem and Mudrakers are a real find. Ample outlets at every table and where else can you get a student-friendly coffee, massive salad with meat & cheese and Middle Eastern platter for around $20? Great for study, meetups & chatting. Have gluten-free options as well!

A favorite when Im in the nearby! Peaceful, healthy made-on-the-spot sandwiches with greens on the side (and other choices) plus yummy snacky-desserts and always-good coffee. Engaging works by local artists on the walls. The proprietor may not say much, but if youre one who listens to life, his every action seems to me to speak volumes. I always feel restored after taking a break there, and even when it gets busy again as we emerge from the shutdowns, I remember that the wonderful vibe was unshakeable.

Terrific falafel w/ hummus pita sandwich lunch, friendly staff and bonus, a clean bathroom! Enjoyed my lunch, portion included lots of fresh salad greens. I wasnt a fan of the taste of their drip coffee.

I dont do reviews but this please deserves one. I walked in there a month ago and meet the most charming and witty small biz owner. He had me laugh. I came for coffee but got great energy. This place is way off my route, but Ill make it a point to come back when I return to California.

This is a super chill place to hang out. Coffee is good. The sandwiches are great. And the vibe is very relaxed, due to the owner who is always calm and collected.

Very low key and chill place. good food and a great place to work/study. it is definitely not sketchy like another reviewer mentioned. like, its family owned/run. i prefer this than another crusty hipster spot.

Great space to do work and study. Relatively quiet unless Willard Middle School next door lets out (in which case it can be pretty lively). Plenty of tables and outlets and never too crowded!

Nice quiet cafe. Owner friendly and talkative. My grilled chicken panini and latte were delicious. Close to Rose Garden Inn.

Ordered an Italian soda which is supposed to be made with sparkling water and it was completely flat. I politely told the owner and he kept saying well Ive been using this same soda for it for 20 years! I showed him that there wasnt a single bubble in it and he kept saying the same thing refusing to give me something different until I asked three times... I got an iced tea... Which tasted like water and ended up getting thrown away anyway. Not going here again.

Got a decaf coffee and a sandwich. the good thing I can say its really cheap. 6.25 for a full size sandwich, with a salad. pretty great sandwich too. however, this place is really dingy. all the bus trays were full and there was a dirty plate sitting on the cream and sugar counter the whole time I was there. and random cups of dirty spoons. also the bathroom doesnt lock well and I walked in on someone. no sign to knock or anything.

First time in Berkley. So this is my first exposure to Huichin Land. The Turkish coffee here at Mudraker has a distinct smell of cardamon. Mucho delicious.

The coffee was incredible, not gonna lie. Just plain coffee, and it was tasty. However, the staff was unfriendly and borderline angry. I dont know if he was the owner or just an employee. My pastry was stale. Not a very cozy place.Overheard the employee barking at a customer about how she has to pay for a refill. She tried to explain that she pre paid for the refill but he was just so angry and made her pay more.

The café is very cozy and has a similar feel to Nabalom Bakery. The coffee here is clean and the Russian cake complements very well with the coffee! Definitely something to try when youre here. The Wi-Fi here is super fast too so its a great place to be to get your studies done!
