This is my favorite place to go get some delicious Persian food and snacks. The service is fast and the staff are friendly and helpful.The food is reasonably priced and fresh. You’ll find all kinds of spices in this place. They have Lavashak, saffron ice cream and Persian sweets as well.

We drove out from Walnut Creek to go here. Great spices, tea, food and desserts! Super friendly and helpful man helped us today. We sat outside and enjoyed some homemade hummus and fresh pita with tea. The man that works there came and gave us more seats for my children. So nice. I will go back because its a great store and excellent customer service.

First time I have a baklava in the US and think its legit. I dont try baklava in the US very often because they are always disappointing but this place is so good.

I used to come here for years when I lived in the area, moved away and just happen to be nearby when visiting. So naturally Im going to stop by. I dragged my friend who hadnt had Persian food really, and ended up picking up food to go.Unless you live right around the corner I suggest eating in and not doing carry out. The meat gets overcooked and is really best right off the grill along with their oven baked naan.I went crazy. I ordered two different kabobs (kubideh and filet), naan, fesenjoon (pomegranate walnut stew with chicken), tahdig and kashke badejamn (eggplant dip). Everything was pretty good but like I said the meat gets overcooked. And they forgot the sabzi which I reminded them of twice - bummer, their rice is on point though.This is a family business and so it has that family feel. Right when you walk in, you are welcomed and treated like a family member. The time I came was a father and son duo, and they were super nice, hilarious and accommodating. They let us sample everything and even shared ice cream with us. Really great customer service.Prices are standard for Persian food.Their market carries a lot of fantastic middle eastern items, great variety of ice cream (even vegan Persian ice cream!) and lots of hard to find herbs and seasonings.Love this place.

Excellent deli. The Koobidah wrap and the beef herb stew with rice were delicious. Also add on the eggplant dip, very tasty. Super great staff.

Proper Persian cusine done right just like the way its done at home. This was most definitely a spectacular find for which I need to thank my Uncle and aunt who recommended I go to this Persian restaurant as it is the best in northern California. I strongly recommend when youre there you get one of everything thats what I did.

Great Persian food market. They also cook fresh authentic dishes for take out. They have a counter with a good variety of homemade and delicious sweets like baklava, Turkish delight, zolbia, bamieh, etc.

This small market is as good as an Iranian market as it can come. You have to go to Los Angeles to find anything better. All the standard selections plus a number of very delicious food ready for take out. Great courteous service also.

Lovely selection of assorted baklavas and other treats. Want saffron ice cream? Got it. Grocery section includes an extensive variety of spices and imports. They have kabobs and other lunch items.

They call Los Angeles Tehrangeles. There are over 1 million Persian people there. When it comes to pomegranate chicken dish, I think the Bay Area might probably win a little bit over LA. If you like Farsi/Persian/Iranian food you definitely heard of fesenjoon chicken dish. I tried that meal in every state that has Persian people. And the best I tried among all was at a humble family-owned warm small middle eastern market in Berkeley, CA aka this place. Tried the kababs and they were good too. But by far the pomegranate chicken dish here is very very very tasty. I love pomegranates.

Every time we have a family gathering, we order from these guys. The food is always great and very fresh... Not to mention they prep very quickly. Ive had an order ready for a big dinner party in about an hour before.I also think they are a family owned business so definitely glad to support our locals. The best place ever

This is the best Iranian (aka Persian, which is not an accurate description) food in the Bay Area. Even compared to the fancier places in SF and WC. An absolute gem. The rice is fluffy, the kabab is well cut and cooked, the ghormeh sabzi is thick and delicious, the ash reshteh is consistently rich and spot-on. Whoever their people are in the kitchen, theyre doing great work. We choose this restaurant over every other whenever we want some takeout at home.

The only problem I have is after paying for the groceries their POS (point of sale) device suggests 18% tip which makes no sense.I havent selected that option in the past but it feels like its trying to shame customers into tipping for their grocery shopping which is not ok in my opinion. Please disable that option in your point of sale device.

Their halva is to die for. I havent had fresh halva in years and this was amazing. I think it is home made. I go here regularly for my Eastern European/Middle Eastern supplies. They have a very good selection of dairy and cheeses from all over the Middle East and the Balkans, Persian spices, spreads, all kinds of stuff. Definitely worth exploring.

Great eatery with small grocery store in the back! Has a variety of Middle Eastern grocery items, including packaged items, fresh fruit, and breads baked by a local Middle Eastern bakery. Food was tasty, and although the grocery section was small, it had the main staples you’d probably need.

I cant wait to go back here and get some more food was so awesome that people were so nice. Also you can buy groceries that have mitt for Middle Eastern recipes theyre pretty much they have everything you need. I will be coming back soon. Really nice employees at a really good deli/market. We recently ordered some catering from them for a backyard party, and everything was delicious.Stop by for middle eastern specialties, or a quick lunch from the deli counter. I recommend the kebab.

Been there twice. Food is pretty good; they are generous with the portions as well. That said, it took them 25 minutes to make a chicken kabob meal; the long wait was unfortunately quite frustrating. I would go there again if I am craving middle eastern eats, but only if I have time.

Ive been coming here for the past couple years, now finally writing this review and still they always have delicious food, great service and all at a reasonable price! The chicken kabob wrap is my favorite along with their fesan jan(chicken in pomegranate sauce). They have plenty of vegetarian options as well and desserts to end the meal with! Its family oriented and you can see people are happy to come!

Love love love this place!!! Great food, desserts and grocery store. For the past year, Ive been coming here once a month for their koobideh, it is soooo delicious. Their baklava is really good too. My friend takes me here and introduces me to the different kinds of foods, desserts, spices, rice, naan, etc. They let you sample their food if youre not sure about what to order, these are the hot foods that are displayed next to their deli section.

Well, this is certainly a hidden gem, if there ever was one.. looks like a simple Persian grocery.. treasure hunters go to the back of the store for the find of the best Felafel in city.. there is a small open kitchen in back.. sweet.. and for $5.. thank you very much. The service is really first class, owner op., free tea, a small area to sit and eat. love it.

One of the great Old School Halal (Kosher) markets with rare items like Pomegranate syrup and date sugar, this is the place where the Middle eastern cooks go when a they are cooking for family. I love this place!

Great hookah atmosphere! My husband and I sat outside on rocking chairs . The hookahs werent up to my husband hookah standard but the workers fixed it! All in all it was a 8 out of 10.

The market is a restaurant too. They have great tasting prepared food which they serve. My first time there and loved it. I would have to try it a few more times to have a concrete judgement on it. But my first time there and I loved the food.

Family owned and operated. Found this place just searching for Persian markets and man did middle East Market deliver. Super quality food, went with my own Persian friend and he gave the home cooked quality approval. Customer service is amazing as well, Amir helped us choose foods and even gave food recommendations that fit into my diet. This is just the restaurant review, the market is also amazing. Everything they provide are super authentic, my friend was like reminiscing about his childhood. Candies that grandma gave, yogurt drinks that was shared with cousins, and treats that just cant be found in a regular market, find all your Persian needs here.Come and check this place out and you might see me there as its a must stop for my family whenever we drive by in the area.

Really great and reasonably priced Persian dishes and desserts at the food counter, friendly and very helpful staff and small, but comprehensive, selection of spices, oils, condiments and other items in their market section. Overall, a great vibe to this neighborhood gem and Im definitely looking forward to trying more of their dishes, and soon.

While my husband was putting my daughter inside the car, I decided to check out this middle eastern market with my son quickly. The staffs were super nice, have lots of groceries selection and they sell sweets and food. Our tummies were full otherwise I would have loved to try out some middle eastern food.
