I have shopped here for years, and recently they helped me replace 2 screens, and repair an antique storm door and screen door that was original to my bungalo. I can not stress enough how amazing they have been! Their prices are very reasonable, and their work is timely.

Much friendlier cashiers than the other Ace in Berwyn.

Prices are different than online as they dont have the same prices as ACE hardware which is confusing, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. But they were super nice and helpful. I forgot his name but one employee was really great in recommending items to me for the purposes I needed and also cut my acrylic sheets for me how I asked! Another employee (Vanessa) was super patient and helped me brainstorm and find exactly the hardware I needed to complete a project. Both these employees earn 5/5 stars in my books! Will be back when I need more hardware!

Received the help and the fittings for what I needed

Every employee is very helpful in this particular location. Clean with lots of products. They cut keys, glass for windows, paint and other hardware items. Presentation is a bit cramped but still fairly easy to locate items and if you have trouble there is always a friendly associate to help you find what you need. This store has been here for a long time, been shopping here for 21 years myself. I love the honor system on purchasing soil and compost. You dont have to drag it inside, just tell the cashier how many you want to purchase then go out and load your car. Nice.

They have olmos everything and they help U to have a good experience at the store, nice place.

Its the Teletroniest of all hardware stores. They dont have lumber, but its a lot easier to shop here for basic hardware stuff than the big box guys.

The only negative is that the prices are a little high but you can expect that from a small business. Other than that, they have great customer service and they do have a nice variety of items so you dont have to go to a big box store. I would definitely shop there again.

I love this hardware store. They ALWAYS have plenty of people to ask for help and advice (including women, for those of us who are sometimes intimidated by hardware stores!). They helped me find everything I needed, and offered to order something I couldnt. A complete and welcome contrast to huge Mega-centers, where I usually cant even find a person to ask. Shop local and small stores people...it keeps neighborhoods vibrant!

Buy local. And when it comes to home repairs ask often. They have a good history of providing decent responces. ButIm sorry to say they are not 100% more like 80%.

Any time Ive ever needed anything for a variety of reasons its always been here. Theyre amazingly helpful and well priced. If youre looking for anything for home, garden, or miscellaneous repairs, check here first. Theyll have it.

They can be a little pricey, but if you want to get in and out without taking a major tour of some megastore, wandering through the plumbing section as you try to get a new light bulb, then this is the place for you. Its easy to find someone who can help you. This is like an old time hardware store. I rarely go to the big box retailers anymore. I prefer this little box retailer.

Love this place! Always reliably stocked with the little random things one needs for fixes around the house. Great staff, super courteous and helpful. Hidden gem* 75¢ pop machine that I swear has the coldest drinks of any modern vending machine. Literally dont make them like they used to with that one.

I came here for key rings. I left with key rings. It was fast and friendly service. It was a bit busy but they called for another cashier. A cozy hardware store with a variety of trinkets and tools. Free parking was available.

A little of everything. Always a nice stop rather than having to go to the big box home stores and end up walking out the door with a bunch of things you didnt walk in the door planning to buy. The parking lot here is a fine size, but is laid out horribly. Not worthy of taking off a star, but get that lot cleaned up and organized!

This is the best darned Hardware Store around. Because of all the old homes and older people, they keep supplies of materials that are still needed by home owners in Berwyn and Cicero....I tell everyone to go there when theyre looking for an odd item, vacuum bags for older vacuums that were great and still are....they quickly help you and know a lot of good information about everything concerning owning a home....if the person you ask doesnt know, they tell you who in the store does - or if the person isnt there, they find out when that person is back in and tell you.Congratulations on being a go to place with knowledgeable people.

Great local ACE hardware with a really helpful staff. They seem to have it all. Of course their prices on some items does not compare to HomeDepot. I guess you have to remeber where you are. This is a mom and pop establishment, not many left. I dont mind spending a couple extra bucks for the knowledge and customer service. You cant get this at the big box stores.

Ace, really, is the place with the helpful hardware man or woman, for that matter. If youre in need of anything in the way of hardware supplies but not exactly sure what it is, the Staff here will gladly help you find exactly whats needed.

I’d give this location 0 stars if I could. A few months ago, I had to return THREE times because the key the woman made didn’t work. Not only that, she had the worst attitude and was asking me, “well, what do you want to do about it?”So not too long ago, I came back to this location, because I needed a copy of a different set of keys (this was the only nearby place that can do it) and the guy behind the counter refused to make a key copy of any of the specialty keys they had on the side (e.g. Hello Kitty, Guitar design, etc.) claiming that the keys I needed copied werent the same models as any of those printed colorful ones. That’s not true. I have made copies of that pair of keys before and saw the same model as one of the designs they had displayed on the wall. But I was tired and I don’t like to argue, and he clearly didn’t want to be there. To be fair, this is the only service I’ve gone there for, so I don’t know if it’s a different story or not. I hope this review improves the customer service, because I never spoke down on these people to be treated so unfairly.

Need to pick up something very important and they say that are open until 7 pm. I pull into the parking lot at 6:55 pm and the sign on the door says “yes we are open” I go to open up the door and a older man slides the black security bars across the door and says “ nope we are closed” and locks the door and walks away. If your establishment says you are open until 7 pm. THEN YOU ARE OPEN UNTIL 7 PM!!! I try to support small businesses as much as I can but this small business will never get 1 cent out of me.
