Horrible company, this is my first review to do but I felt I need to let everyone know before they called. I use a warranty co and this is who they sent. They came to attempt to repair my refrigerator, the freezer door would pop open every time the fridge door was shut. With kids in the house they would not realize it and the freezer door would stay open so everything started to melt. This has only been going on for a couple weeks and we have had the refrigerator for close to 15 years. The repairman came out and attempted to adjust the feet, that didn’t work so he called the manufacture and they stated they were aware of the issue and it’s a design flaw. Well if it was a design flaw it would have always been doing that and not just start out of the blue. He basically left stated there is nothing he can do. I tried to get them out several times for a second opinion with no success. When I contacted the manufacture I was given a different response from design flaw. I would not recommend this company.. They are not customer service oriented at all. I was very shocked to say the least I thought this was a reputable company until I started reading other unhappy customers, I can see I’m not alone.FYI My home warranty company sent another company out and the same day I had answers. The gentleman could not repair it as well, and he called the warranty company and explained what was going on with my refrigerator and that afternoon they let me know they were going to replace it. So after reading S and S’s response remember I have to rely on my warranty co to take care of me since I’m a paying customer. I explained to him what my warranty co stated to me and all the attempts they made to get them back out and I have all my emails to prove that. So facts have been left out on his part. Understand this is not about S and S being rude, the people I have spoken with are nice and professional. This is just my experience on the service. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion based on experiences they encountered and you can find out for yourselves and make your own opinions. I’m sticking to mine. Thanks.
I have used them before and was satisfied but not so much this time. All I needed was a new knob for my stove that was under warranty. Sent model # etc and photos. Tech came out and said I needed a new knob, of ordered the part and scheduled another appt. Two days later they cancelled the appointment because part was not available with promise to reschedule when part was available. That was March 11. It is now the middle of October and I havent heard from them. Their automated system has no record of the service call. I emailed the and 4 days later someone finally called back. I have emails they sent me confirming/cancelling appointments and my emailed receipt from first appointment but they have no record of my service call????? Needless to say I would not recommend S & S Appliance.
This is the most unprofessional, most unreliable company I have ever encountered. They have now missed three appointments to service my new Whirlpool range. They do not answer phone calls nor do they return phone calls. The only contact I have had with them is automated phone calls. This is who Whirlpool uses for their warranty work in our area. This is also a direct reflection on Whirlpool, as far as I’m concerned. Please be warned before doing business with either company!
This company is beyond terrible. Very unprofessional, unreliable, and unresponsive. I have a warranty through Best Buy and this is who they dispatched. They have not showed up to appointments and no communication has been given on status updates. It’s been over a month without my washer and I don’t think the fix is a complicated effort. Best Buy needs to stop using this sub immediately.
The guy came out then said he had to order a part and would be back the next week. We have absolutely no information anywhere and when I use the check status it says there is no job. I’ve gone over a month of my range not working!
This company was contacted for my extended warranty on my dryer. That was back in February. They said that it needed new rollers and set an appointment. They cancelled that appt because the technician only works in my area on Tuesday. They have scheduled and cancelled my appointment 6 times since February and I am still waiting for them to fix my dryer! Their excuses have been that the parts aren’t in or the technician is overbooked. It shows where they ordered parts in April and again in October. Now I am concerned about what other damage is being done if it truly is the rollers that are bad. I have called many many times and left messages and no one calls me back. On my cyberoffice on their website they have stated that they have emailed me twice to reschedule. Never received an email so I sat home all day waiting. I don’t know how this company stays in business with this type of customer service. I will be contacting Home Depot Corporate and file a complaint along with the insurance company. Let’s hope this dryer is fixed by the end of the month.
I cant speak to their repair skills because I was unable to reach them for over a week. Tried calling and left multiple messages. Never received a response. Warranty company called and sent emails to S&S. They too said they couldnt reach them. Eventually whirlpool hired a different service provider and that company called me back the next day. Bottom line dont do business with a company that is near impossible to reach
I originally posted a one star review because I was had a no show/no call to a service appointment for my dishwasher and was having a difficult time contacting the company to see what was going on with it.The owner, Walter, personally called me and explained what was going on with the part, explained what he did on his end to try to expedite the process (though, much of this is 100-% out of his control-its part supply issue), and apologized to me for the company not calling.I really appreciated him taking the time to apologize for the lack of communication and make a plan with me going forward on this matter. I was so impressed with how he handled this that I am updating this to a 5 star review.I see lots of poor reviews, snd initially, I was frustrated seeing the poor reviews and having the no show/no call. If you’re working with this company, I’d encourage you to give them a chance and to have patience. They are likely just as frustrated by the process as you are because there is a lot that is also out their control. If they do make a mistake, they seem to be very receptive to communicating and working to improve moving forward. I’m willing to give them more of an opportunity after speaking with Walter, so thank you for that sir.
ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE COMPANY EVER!!!! Ive been trying to get my 83-year old mothers gas range fixed since March. It is now September and her oven STILL HASNT BEEN FIXED!!!! They came out and said it couldnt be fixed because they needed to order the part. Weve been waiting OVER 6 MONTHS for the part. It supposedly came in and the tech that was supposed to fix it left the company and took the part with him so they had to order a new one. We were never told or updated on any aspect of this. The new part took another two months to come in and when it did, it was SENT TO THE WRONG PLACE!!! As we waited for that part to be sent to the correct place, no one ever called to tell us it had arrived. This process took 5 MONTHS!!! Now were in month 6 and they were supposed to come and fix the oven three days ago. They were a NO CALL/NO SHOW and I still have no idea whats going on. I just keep getting the run around. Its extremely frustrating and I cant call anyone else because this is who Whirlpool is contracted with. Can you give less than one star? This is the 6, now 7 month detail history of this awful experience.
S&S Appliance must be the company Whirlpool uses for repairs..I bought a new range from Lowes and within 2 weeks front eye went out..Whirlpool called this company late SEPT, got appt for 6Oct..they arrive and had to order an eye..repairman said they would call back on 13Oct to set up appt to fix this brand new range..We have called this company along with Whirlpool calls since 13 Oct up to 10 times a day...NI ANSWER, NO CALL BACK..Terrible service and nonprofessional..the ine time I talked to an older man before 6Oct..he was so rude and short with his answers....
Had appointment set by whirlpool and took the day off for it. No call no show. After reading the comments, I wonder why they keep using them. Not professional at all.
HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!!I recently purchased a Whirlpool washer in February of this year from Lowes. Approximately two weeks ago I noticed my machine making loud noises, not properly spinning, or agitating my clothes in the wash cycle. I contacted Whirlpool who arranged a service call through S&S Appliance Parts and Service LLC.Prior to arrival the technician called me to let me know how long before arrival. This was perfect because I was at work (35 minutes away). We coordinated my arrival, and his other repair stops on the phone.He was very polite, and extremely knowledgeable in the appliance repair field. He arrived prepared with the necessary tools, and part needed for repair. He listened to me explaining to him what was happening with the machine, and knew immediately what the issue was. Within 20 minutes he was in and out. Thank you for expeditiously repairing my washing machine. I will make sure to refer my friends and family who may need similar services in the future.
I was considering contacting the company for services; however, after seeing the rude and unprofessional responses from S & S Appliances to customers’ reviews, I am highly disappointed. I am surprised that any company would not only respond so defensively (which is rude), but also have the audacity to post customer email exchanges to a public website that have nothing to do with complaints of rude verbal communication from their company. Effective communication and customer service is basic 101 in any business.
Warning. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE LIARS AND VERY RUDE. I called and setup a repair for my dishwasher. Unfortunately, home shield sent this garbage company out. The tech came out for 5 minutes. Look at the dishwasher and said he need to order a part. 3 business days. I got a call on business day 5 and was told the part is on backorder.14 more days tech came out put the part on and guess what. It went out a month later. I replaced the dishwasher and now my dryer went out. I called whirlpool and the setup a repair for Monday 8-4. After 2 pm an old white lady who was very rude tell me the tech will be there in 10 days. He was booked up. I ask why did they schedule me for today knowing they was booked. She got very rude and said i dont know disconnect the line. I called another company for repairs. I dont want ss appliances on my property.
HORRIBLE !!! THE WORST! I have never taken the time to complain online about a company. That is how bad they are. I have been waiting on a warranty refrigerator repair for 6 weeks. They canceled the first appointment. Then closed my request. After 2 weeks of waiting on hold, emailing, putting a request on their website I finally was able to get a hold of someone. They rescheduled 2 weeks out!! The technician showed up but left because he said he didnt have a gate code. After waiting 6 weeks!! I still can not get ahold of anyone to get my refrigerator fixed. I have lost 2 full stock of food waiting on them. Ive paid a repair man 3 time to temp defrost fridge waiting on repair. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a service company. They will never answer their phone. !!
TERRIBLE! Truly the worst company. Our Kitchenaid refrigerator stopped cooling. With it still under warranty, we had to UNFORTUNATELY rely on S & S. They sent someone to tell us what we already knew...that it wasnt cooling and that parts had to be ordered. WEEKS later the part is in and we were scheduled to have repaired today. My husband even went by yesterday to confirm. We were told once again that the part was in and that they would be here this morning between 8AM-12PM. Guess what? The part is now MISSING! Our appointment is cancelled and part has to be ordered again. We are now almost 2 months without a refrigerator with no end in sight. No one there cares. Not their problem. They dont answer the phone either so dont even waste your time on that. Truly mind blowing.
They were sent on a warranty issue on a Whirlpool refrigerator. The freezer was icing as the door would not fully close. The first technician said it was the left rail and returned a couple days later and installed an after market rail. A few days later we had the same issue and different technicians were sent and did nothing other than instruct us on the correct way to open the door. Each time we spent a lot of time cleaning the mess of ice from the freezer before the technician arrived. Days later we had the same problem and I told Whirlpool we had enough of S&S and would use another company. It only cost me $400 to fix a refrigerator that was less than a year old.
On time service. Bradley was very professional and knowledgeable. Best of all he repaired mycooktop and its perfect. Would recommend to friends and family.
I really dont write reviews, but I have to agree with another customer that received rude and unprofessional responses from S&S Appliances (Bessemer, Alabama). I received the same experience from Huntsville, Alabama and I guess they dont care much about customers. I told Rosie (at S&S) that her lack of knowing how to treat customers had NOTHING to do with my appliance not being covered by warranty (there is a way to tell it to a customer without being rude). I was thinking about STILL using them until the rude event occurred. She highly disappointed me with her attitude and lack of customer service. She contributes negatively to the Google rating of the company (which is already a poor 3 out of 5). Their lack of customer service and acts of being rude, make S&S Appliance look worse that they already are on Google reviews.
Randy was on time, extremely polite and knowledgeable of what I needed. Answered all my questions, was extremely fair with the pricing. Would definitely recommend s&s to all my friends and family.
Horrible company. Absolutely no customer service. I called 4 days in a row, sent an email and Will not communicate with American Home Sheild. “Pearl Ann”was the only person I could speak to and she blamed the technician for not notating correctly and that she couldn’t help me, she was the rudest person I’ve ever spoke to in customer service. (They say it’s repairable but the technician said it caught fire and was unsafe). They need to not falsify documents and learn how to talk to customers. I understand this is a family business and you do what you want essentially but don’t hang up on someone when they ask for help. Took 3 months and still no resolution. Just like all the other negative comments, do not let your warranty company send them out!

We have an extended warranty with Lowes on our refrigerator and needed it serviced. Do to what is going on in our world now of course I was expecting extended time for a repair person to show up. When making appointment yes it had to be scheduled out 3 1/2 weeks. I didnt hear anything from the scheduled company only an email from the extended warranty dept sending confirmation date/time/Service company name. So the day before I contacted the company after several attempts leaving messages with NO CALL BACK from them. So I called one more time right before closing time and a VERY RUDE female answered the phone. I gave her my info and she informed me that the guy would not be coming in the morning do to him being overbooked. I said so when was we going to be informed of him not coming and are they going to reschedule. She became very rude and said its going to be about a month. I said you got to be kidding me. Not only did you not have the descenty to call us to let us know, you them want to move us out another month. And this is how she responded. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU, CALL YOUR LOWES AND TELL THEM TO SET YOU UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE. REALLY!! Okay and I did just that. Lowes was very shocked of her rudeness and how the company handled one of their customers. They then set us up with a more reliable company. Use A&E they care about their customers AND they are polite.
I scheduled this company to come look at my refrigerator at the advice of another company since they handled the warranty work for Kitchen Aid. My refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer stopped working. I was unable to reach the company on the phone and did not get a callback from the message I left, so I scheduled an appointment online. This was on 11/30/20. Tech came out on 12/4/20 and determined that the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. they had to order parts. After finally getting the parts, a different tech came out on 1/20/21. He said the compressor was working and some boards needed to be replaced. Again, parts had to be ordered. A while after the expected parts delivery date, I called for an update and was told the parts were in. An appointment was scheduled for the following week on 3/1/21. On the morning of the appointment, the tech called me and said that the parts were not in and cancelled the appointment. At this point, I was livid and called Kitchen Aid directly to complain. They called S&S and basically were told that the parts were never ordered. So again, I had to wait for parts. On 4/2/21, I received an email that the parts were in and a link to schedule an appointment. I tried calling, but again, got no one and I left a message. I never received a call back. I tried again the following day, but still could not get anyone on the phone. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for 4/15/21. On 4/15, my appointment was scheduled between 8-12. when it got to be almost 12, I called and actually got a person on the phone. They told me that they were overbooked and someone was supposed to call me and tell me that my appointment had been cancelled. I wanted to reach through the phone and rip someones head off!!!!! They rescheduled me for today, 4/16/21. Tech came out and replaced the boards and said that the compressor was not coming on. Now I have to wait for a compressor to be ordered AGAIN!!!! I was given an appointment date of 4/26/21 and thats if the parts comes in, which Im not counting on . By then it will have been almost five months that Ive had to be without my refrigerator. This company seems to handle a lot of warranty work and if you have to use them, I hope this will let you know what youre getting into. If you dont have to use them.....RUN AWAY!!!!!!
This was the second time we’ve used S & S for a kitchen appliance repair (last year was the dishwasher), and we’ve had wonderful experiences both times. Brandon was so kind, called ahead to work out a time to come, then called again closer to that time to confirm. He was super knowledgeable, neat, tidy, very pleasant and professional, and worked efficiently. We will always use S & S and request him as our technician again! Highly recommend!
I scheduled a service appointment on-line, through the Maytag Service center. I selected the first available date from the calendar provided. 10 days later on the scheduled and accepted date for the repair i was notified that they were overbooked and could not come out for another 10 days. When I called Maytag they conformed that the appointment was accepted by S & S and a technician was assigned. when I called S & S to discuss this the service agent got defensive and stated that there were many others who have been waiting for months for parts and that I had NO RIGHT to cut the line!!!! After I asked to speak with someone above him he said that he would forward my info to management and HUNG UP on me! This is the worst service group I have ever seen! I called MAYTAG back and found another Maytag service company to come and service my machine.
Company was very professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do. Explained manufacturing and shipping delays, then delivered on repair in a much quicker repair time than expected. Would 100% use them again.
I have called this company 3 days in a row now and they do not answer their phone nor will they call me back. Ive listened to the on hold music now for over 3 hours this week. Ive left messages and still no call back. I am supposed to have a technician come out today to repair my fridge today, 5/28/21. No one has called me or emailed me to confirm my appointment. So imagine theyre not coming today and Ill have to wait another month for the the next appointment. It has been 4 months and my refrigerator, which is under warranty, has not been fixed! I will call Whirlpool and request a different service company. I would never recommend this company. Communication is key!
So far our experience with S&S has been dismal and disappointing to say the least. They had a “don’t care” attitude on the phone when I told them they didn’t even attempt to fix my refrigerator. You would think a professional would be able to identify a very common issue such as a fridge/freezer not cooling and a non-functional ice maker. S&S wouldn’t even send the technician back out to my house to rectify the issue the issue they should’ve resolved on the first visit. Now they tell me I can expect a return visit in over a week. Meanwhile, all of the food in my freezer is ruined! The Home Depot warranty is completely useless if this is the type of incompetence they’re going fo associate themselves with. If Home Depot tells you they’re going to send this company to your house, politely tell them “no, you’re not!”
S&S came to repair my fridge that was making a weird noise and not making ice properly. The tech asked some great questions on the phone to better prepare himself for when he arrived on site. He also called with a 30 minute heads up that he was on his way, which I greatly appreciated.The tech was knowledgable, friendly, and went above and beyond for me. He was even going to put everything back into the freezer and fridge when he was done. I assured him that was more than necessary and I would take care of it.The fridge ultimately has to be replaced, but the tech did all he could to leave it as good as possible so I can have more time to shop.Overall I was pleased with my experience and will definately call S&S again in the future.

Although hard to contact by phone, once scheduled, it was convenient to check the job status via their website. Their service rep Michael was very professional and responsive to the problem with my Whirlpool dryer.
I waited for over a month and a half for S&S Appliance to repair my appliance. Two visits and the appliance still was not repaired. No one ever answers the phone during business hours nor bothers to return calls.Ended up calling a competitor and they were out the next day and performed a successful repair.Theres no question that I wont soon be giving, or referring, any business to S&S Appliance.
Read everyones reviews from the past two months from lack of communication and just not getting the job done. I had the exact same experience. I do not recommend and will never use. American home shield needs to outsource to another company.UPDATE!!!Instead of being sorry that I had a poor experience, do your job and fix my oven. : )

I cannot speak more highly of S&S Appliance. The team is always extremely professional, knowledgable, and strives to ensure their customers are happy. I understand that this is something which comes from the top and filters into their staff. These type of emergencies are not always a quick or even an easy fix but the team works hard to make sure the issue is fixed quickly. Things break, things stop working, and we appreciate how the team works to make sure those items that make our daily lives easier, working again.
Customer Beware:This has been the most unprofessional and frustrating company that I have ever had to work with. We have had an open job with them for over a month and still cannot get a technician to come fix our washing machine. We have had 3 appointments canceled or no show and cannot get a straight answer as to why. Appointments have been canceled because the part “wasn’t in”, even though I have proof that they checked the part in before canceling the appointment. We have had appointments canceled because the technician quit and then decided not to quit, but we weren’t put back on his schedule. Now, we are at over a month without a washing machine and an appointment scheduled for today with the technician that had, in fact, quit. The only way I found out that they wouldn’t be coming to fix our machine today, during our appointment that I confirmed last night, was by calling the company and waiting on the phone for nearly 30 minutes. They did not even call to let me know that the appointment for today was cancelled, or rather, should never have been scheduled.It is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone, and I have not been able to get in touch with a manager at all.This is not a company that will be receiving any more of my business, nor would I recommend them to anyone. Please, do yourself a favor and find another company to fix your appliances.
If could give zero I would . I have taken off 3 times for appt and first time never showed up. Second time didnt have parts and third no show. I have tried over and over to call and noone answers and still broken dishwasher Im very mad
Got a new Maytag washing machine and the lack broke after 6 months later on a device what suppose have a good service brand. Call the factory and they gave the service call to S an S appliance and on 03/17/21 they sent a service guy out who was ready to go when he arrived. The factory told me prior to the service guy coming to my house that they already told S and S what the problem was and ordered the parts for the repairs in advance. The service guy S and S showed up as if this had never happen. He advised he was going to order the parts and will contact me and have it repaired in a couple of days and it May 12, the repairs never happened and even the factory had a hard time making contact with S and S appliance to get an update on to what happen.. I would not recommend using this company if they were located next door to my resident. They have not pride in customer service at all...I gave them a one star because the site want let you give them a half of one.

I had a manufacturer warranty for repair and Lowes assigned me to these people. I first called on 1/16/2021 and as of today my washer is still not fixed . This is the absolute worse company I have ever dealt with and cannot wait for my washer to be fixed so I can never use them again.If you are given a chance to select a company avoid this one.
No one will answer the phone nor will they respond to emails. I have literally called everyday this week and listen to the automated music for 30-45 minutes. I have left several messages and still will not respond and they have my parts to fix my washer!!!!UPDATE: After leaving the above review the manager gave me a call and explained why they have been not responsive. I really appreciated that from them. I was set up the next day for the tech to return only to find out I needed another part. With that being said I will update once the job has been completed for my overall rating.THIS TIME MY WASHER STILL IS NOT FIXED AND NO ONE TO CONTACT AS THE PHONE STILL SAYING CLOSED DUE TO HOLIDAY! I AM ANGRY AT THIS POINT. MY WASHER ISNT FIXED BECAUSE THE TECH SAYS HE CAN NOT GET THE SENSOR TO GO BACK ON.THIS IS NOW THE 3RD TIME AND THE TECH DID NOT SET ANOTHER APPOINTMENT AS HE SAYS HE DOESNT KNOW WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT.
We’ve used this company for years and they never disappoint! Randy is by far the best tech and goes out of his way to make sure we understand what he’s done and what his plan is to get it fixed. If there’s ever anything parts wise that need ordered, he’s on it. If you need quality work from an amazing group of professionals, then call them! You won’t be disappointed!

Worst service company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They showed up to diagnose an issue but have since no called/no showed for two appointments to install the parts we had to buy ourselves. It’s impossible to get anyone on the phone. They never respond to messages either. If not for being a Maytag warranty vendor they’d surely be out of business because their communication is the absolute worst I’ve ever seen.

S and S Appliance came out very quickly when we had cooling issues with our refrigerator. There repairman was knowledgeable and polite. He repaired the problem and a very fair price. I will always call S and S when I have an appliance issue!
HANDS DOWN WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER DEALT WITH!IVE NEVER ACTUALLY TAKEN THE TIME TO WRITE AN ONLINE REVIEW UNTIL NOW. They picked up our icemaker in Nov 2020. As of May 26, 2021, the only person who will take our phone call is the repair technician who originally picked it up. He has tried to get someone from the shop to call us, but no one ever has. They NEVER answer their phone at the shop. Ive left several voice mails of which NONE have been returned.
Scheduled an appointment for Whirlpool warranty service in Huntsville, AL for a minor repair for the first available time window, 4/23/21 between 8am-4pm. I waited at home during this time window. Nobody ever showed up or called. I made several attempts to call the company, but never got an answer.
Booked them back in July for washer repair. They put us down for a date two weeks away and then canceled without contacting the number we provided. Rescheduled us two weeks after that and ended up being a no-show as well. At this point, weve been a month without a washer and weve taken off work twice to wait for them.Never responded to our email inquiring why, even the customer support for our washer admitted they were terrible and agreed to compensate the costs of going with another company.
Shane was on time, professional, and quickly fixed the problem. He was also very polite and courteous on the phone and in person.My dishwasher flooded my kitchen. Shane came to look at it. He asked about the garbage disposal and I told him how a plumber told me I needed to get a particular electrician to come to fix some problem with the electrical outlet. Shane looked at the disposal for about 30 seconds, found the problem, and fixed it in about 2 minutes.Shane came in to save the day and fixed both problems. He also gave me some helpful tips on keeping my fridge and dishwasher in working order. I will recommend him to everyone I know
Im sure if I had been a paying customer this would have gone differently. But I wasnt, I needed warranty work done on a freezer/fridge combo that I had purchased 2 weeks before. The freezer was staying between 5° and 19°. I put frozen solid food in the freezer and it thawed. When Dave from S&S came out first off he reeked of cigarettes, after maybe 2 minutes of being there he said the freezer was 5° and he couldnt do anything for me. Said he would have to catch the freezer being 19°. I explained to him about the frozen food and he said maam, this isnt a deep freezer. I told him I understand that but I expect my freezer to keep food frozen. He told me again there was nothing he could do and said that the freezer was fine when he looked at it and insinuated several times that I was lying. When I tried to explain to him again that I could not keep a freezer that would not freeze, he snatched up his bag and told me to have a nice day and left. He was at my home maybe 6 minutes.
Warranty appt made by whirlpool on 25 May. S and S never called to verify appt on Jun 9. So on Jun 9 at 8 am, I and whirlpool tried calling S and S appliance, left messages, no return call. Appt was 8 am to 1200 noon. At 2pm I called again no answer, checked status of call via S and S website. Appt by canceled at 805 by S and S appliance. Dryer.30 days old. Appt still on whirlpool site and doesnt show canceled
Do not use this company. We had been instructed to use S&S from Whirlpool, when our new dryer quit working. We are now over 2 months without a working dryer. The entire experience has been a disgrace. From the delay in getting the technician out to verify the error code, to no shows to repair. Can’t stress enough to avoid at all costs doing business with S&S.
Been waiting over a month to get the tech to replace a part on washing machine.I called a was put on the schedule but never showed.Called back and was told that the day he was to come out that it would be another 16 days before he would show up.Not a good or reliable company to use.Will never use them agsin.
I put a work order out through American Homeshield and they referred me to this company. The work order dated back to November 2020, for a whirlpool microwave oven. John was the technician who arrived at our home two weeks later to give a diagnosis of the problem.... he advised that my microwave needed three fuses and they had to be ordered through the whirlpool warehouse..... I understand the impact COVID had on shipping but 3 months!!!! I finally contacted whirlpool myself to get a status update.... they advised that the part was in stock and s&s had not followed up for some time!!! Whirlpool shipped the item to me and I had to contact s&s to get John scheduled once again..... John (bless his heart) showed up out of breath.... preparing to fix my microwave.... heck I even helped him take it down.... there he was on my kitchen floor talking to himself and making noise.... he spent 3 hours so-call repairing.... finally we put the microwave back and he ask for water to test.... he put the water in, closed the door, and the microwave died again!!! He stated that was probably another fuse which would take several more weeks!!! I demanded that he condemn that microwave so I could get a new one.... John is a nice guy but I think it’s time for him to retire and live his remaining days fishing.... stay away for S&S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a bad experience the guy you sent out here didnt do anything but stand around and argued with me when I was trying to tell him what was wrong with the refrigerator he refused to look at it so I told him to leave and I contacted rentacenter and told them to find someone else I didnt appreciate his addittude very rude and very uninterested in the job at hand

They did not complete warranty repairs on a refrigerator that they claimed to have ordered parts for OVER A YEAR AGO. THEIR SO CALLED TECHNICIAN COULD NOT SEEM TO KEEP AN APPOINTMENT WHICH THEY RESCHEDULED SEVERAL TIMES AND ON LAST CONTACT THEY STATED THEIR TECHNICIAN QUIT AND I SHOULD CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER DIRECTLY. SHADE TREE, TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE OPERATION. HOPE THEY GO BANCKRUPT IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
I was due an appointment today between 8am-12pm. I was call at 9am by this company stating they did not have the part they supposedly had 3 weeks ago. This company is an absolute joke. I have delt with this since Jan 15th. Also reported to BBB
So disappointed. Ive been waiting 2 weeks on a part and I had an appointment and they never showed. I called to check and they told me 6 more days. They said they sent an email and I never received it. I took off work and I was expecting it to be fixed since its literally a but that came off.
They took 3 months and I finally got in touch with them and they said couldnt get parts for dryer then never came out to fix stove so I just cancelled contract with American home shield I guess they liked that
HORRIBLE!!!! I have been waiting since November for the completion of the warranty repair on my dryer. I have waited on hold for days and it just bumps you to a voicemail. I did actually speak with someone a few weeks ago but she didnt know what happened to the parts for my order and everyone had left for the day. She would call me the next day.....no return call. I have even tried creating a new service call; nope that doesnt work either!
I had an appointment today. Confirmed it via telephone last night. Service tracker said my job was complete but no one called or showed up. I called the service center and was told I was still on the list that the tech is still In route to my house. It is now 6 pm service center is closed and no one showed up.
After taking the day off they call me at 3 pm to tell me one of the parts is broken and they will not be coming to fix my washer that has been broken for a month the manager said hes not sending anyone to fix it because I got passed at them for losing a whole days pay because they dont check there parts before they leave I will not do business with this company and I recommend you dont either
Poor service company is a joke will not do business with them if they were the only repair company leftThey done care about the customer having to take off canceled on first appointment then at 3 pm they call to say there not coming because the part they got was broken think they would have known that before they left the office but no they wait till the end of the day to call and tell you there not coming then when you get mad at them they say we’re not ever coming guess they don’t care if there the worst company in Alabama
HORRIBLE!!! We made an appointment and they could not get anyone to us for our washer/dryer repair until a month later. Closer to the time of our appointment, we tried calling SEVERAL times to confirm, but never reached them and never received a return call. So needless to say, our feelings were right...they NEVER SHOWED! They did not even call! So now we are going into month 2 without a washer/dryer thanks to their lack of professionalism.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We made a complaint with Maytag/Whirlpool since they were the ones setting up this appointment for warranty repair. They agreed this was NOT up to their standards and launched their own company complaint. Hopefully they will stop using this company for their warranty work.
I am leaving a review to see if this will get their attention. My husband has been calling for awhile now and no one has picked up their phone and gotten back with us on parts. They missed our appointment and have failed to contact us. Someone please contact us and then I will change my review
We had lightning hit our house. We just built our house and had insurance less than a month. We didn’t want to file a claim. Matt at S&S Aplliances was awesome. He fixed all of our appliances. Some things took time to come in from being ordered but he made countless trips to the house installing every part as the part came in. He was always professional. He worked hard.
If I could give it zero stars I would! This business was chosen by our home warranty company and after almost 2 WEEKS OF HAVING TO WAIT to get our freezer repaired they had their rude and unprofessional secretary call me the morning of the appointment at 8:30 and inform me that their technician was overbooked and would not be coming to my home today. I informed them that I had waited almost 2 weeks for an appointment and that I had already taken off of work. She stated that there was nothing that she could do or would do to help me. I WILL NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS and I suggest you dont either!
Calls on the morning of appointment (after being scheduled for a month) to cancel the appointment telling you they cannot help you and fix your appliance. Very unprofessional.

The repair person was friendly, yet professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, and repaired my washer efficiently.
Had an appointment on 1/27 to fix dryer. Technician showed up and was nice enough and said the parts would have to be ordered and would probably take 2 weeks to get. I didnt like it but i understood. Well 6 long weeks later they have all the parts. I received an email to schedule my 2nd appointment and the first available is another week away on a day i work so i took off work fo my appointment on 3/24 8AM-12PM. I also called S&S the morning of appointment to confirm and she assured me my tech would be here close to 12 and would call me becore arriving. At 1140 he halls me and told me he never got the parts and my appointment had to be scheduled 3 weeks out and reorder parts. They promised me they would contact me via email within 48 hrs with a better solution. As of right now they scheduled a new appointment for 4/4 without even contacting me. 2 months and still no dryer. Ill probably end up dropping my home warranty company for allowing this kind of service.UPDATE..when i called S&S I was told Tommy (the supervisor) would return my call. Well its been 3 days and still no email or call from tommy. This might be th worse company i have ever delt with in my entire life. STILL WAITING TOMMY!
This company is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. You can read our nightmare of an experience on my husbands review, Shane Reimer.I am just saying that the women in this office have lied and lied to me. They have been rude and unprofessional. 1 lady will tell you something then another lady will tell you something else. Either way we have never gotten our dryer fixed. From January 26, 2021 to April 5, 2021 they have gotten all parts in, sent them back, reordered them, and in this time made 6 different appointments with us.I tell my boss I need the day off because I am finally getting my dryer fixed and my boss now laughs at me.😔 We have been waiting on Tommy to call us back but Tommy is ducking calls because he has no excuse. Tommy need to be replaced by someone who can get the job done and the women in the office need to be replaced by an automated machine because it would be more help. This company should not even get 1 star.

I will NEVER deal with this company again! I had a tech come out 6 weeks ago and they had to order a part reschedule for 2 weeks later. The day before appointment they emailed saying its on backorder until February 22nd. When March first came and I had heard nothing I called and called and called with no answer nor callback. Still havent heard a word
Tech came to my home shook the wash tub, performed a substandard assessment, gave us bad advice to use the machine regardless that resulted in flooding my home. First off the phone reps are rude, especially Tammy. She has no telephonic etiquette whatsoever. She refuses to listsn to anything and lies better than a Persian rug. Total zero very racial and obnoxious. They cancelled our appointment honored by the manufacturer to re-evaluate the machine and lied about it to no end, until I pressured the truth out of Tammy, and sent the email confirmation. They try to force you into what they know will be an unsuccessful repair and make money off you and the manufacturer. Rotten people and experience. Real rating is zero stars but thats not possible. Stay away !!!!!!
Only used this company because Lowes uses them for their warrenty. They have the worst customer service. You call and have to wait at least 30 minutes before you can even get intouch and talk to anyone.They ordered a part for my dishwasher before they even came out to see what was wrong. Of course after 2 months they finally came to the house. The part that they ordered was wrong. I told them that over the phone but they didnt want to hear it.Still waiting after 3 months for this part.Just Horrible
Great outcome with S & S!They called me the day before my appointment as a kindly reminder, then again a call to let me know they were on their way to my home. The service person (Tim) was on time, professional and courteous. He put protection on my hardwood floor for his tools, then fixed the problem with my dishwasher. The cost was reasonable. I was very satisfied and would highly recommend them. I will certainly have them back with my appliance servicing. Thanks Tim, and thanks S & S Appliance. Chris has been out a few times and has always been very helpful and professional. He has been able to troubleshoot the problems, fix them and explain the reasoning behind it.
My parents used a Lowe’s warranty for their new washing machine. Lowe’s used this company To contract repairs. It has now been 7 weeks and the washer is not fixed and remains unusable. They keep claiming everything under the sun as an excuse. Part not in, broken part, Covid exposure, part not in again. There is only one technician for the county and he is not available for less than a week from each excuse. I would not trust this company with my business. Lowe’s ought to sue them for dishonest representation of their services. Lowe’s issues a $50.00 check as compensation but that doesn’t cover the cost of using a laundry mat for 7 weeks.

Referred to S&S through home warranty ( American Home Shield). Tec came to home within one week. He spent 15-30 minutes looking at washer. Tec stated it needed a part but due to age and cost of part they may replace washer instead of fixing.This was a Friday at 12:00 pm. On Monday I called at 2:00pm to get a status of repair or replace,. Customer services women stated the tec had been working on my paperwork since 10:30 am that morning and that I will receive a call when he finished.Tuesday, next day, I received a text from American Home Shield stating my repair request had been completed and asked to rate S&S appliance on service.I did not receive a call, email or text from S&S appliance. I had to resubmit a work request through American Home Shield to get my washer repaired.I paid the service fee. I did not receive any services through S&S appliance. They did not complete the job. Very unprofessional.

Technician Wesley Wright showed up on time, took time to understand the intermittent problem with my ice maker. He talked to Whirlpool for recommended solution and was able to order a new ice maker for me. Great job and experience!
Came to fix my brand new Maytag dryer. Was told to be home between 12 -4 he arrived at 5:30. I also told him on phone everything working just not spinning he arrived and said yep but I have no parts will come next week he didnt even open the dryer up and look! Needless to say its been over a month and noone has contacted me in any way. Dont use these clowns call your local appliance repairman these people are worthless. By the way the belt was off, I didnt want to open it up and void my warranty if he had bothered to do his job it would have been a simple fix.
Called my father with dementia retarded and handicapped. He broke our washer and left it full of water and draining out into our house. Said good luck and left.
I am changing my 1 star review on this business to.a 4 star review. Everything negative lPreviously was true about many many ma y mistakes a d getting bgg the run around in the beginning. However, the company responded and apprised and explained what was going on. On their end. I can respect a companys honesty. I can forgive not of things with an apology and honesty. I wod not hesitate knowing what I do now to use them again.
On time, know what he was doing. Didnt have new part on truck, but did temp fix. Came back when said and installed new part in 15 min.
I purchased this washer and dryer through a company but it’s a whirlpool brand and under warranty for 1 year trough the manufacturer.I had my dryer for a total of one month before it just stopped working in October 2020 I called whirlpool and they set me up an appointment with this company (S&S) the appointment was scheduled for two weeks out and they recommended I call to get added to the cancellation list. When I called It was an extremely long wait, but after 30 min of waiting and I was finally connected to Natoshia she was very professional and understanding and got me moved up by a day. So finally the man John came and looked at the dryer he said it was the timer and door switch and that he would have to order the parts and it would take a week.After he left they ordered the part and scheduled me for another two weeks out.The day of the appointment arrived and I got an email saying my appointment was canceled because part was on back order and so they rescheduled me for another two weeks out.They had the part in a week before my actual appointment. So on the date of my appointment he called and told me it was miss-boxed so it’s the wrong part and would take another 4weeks to get the part in!!!!!I stayed calm and called whirlpool and told them what was going on and they shipped the part out to me within 2 weeks.He came yesterday put it on and now he says the dryer needs a new start button and a fan is brokenSo he couldn’t see all the problems when he first came in NOVEMBER and looked at the dryer?So now I’m stuck waiting AGAIN! But before John left he said he found the parts local in Birmingham and that he would try to get someone to go get them so he can come back the next day and install it.I called today and got connected with a woman named Tammy and I explained the situation to her and she responded “well there’s nothing we can do, we’re ordering the part and we’ll schedule you for feb 3. Maybe you’ll get lucky and get it in on time” I told her what John said to me and she said “well ma’am we have to order them so you’ll have to wait” I replied to her that I can call whirlpool and get the parts sent within 5days that way they can come install it she said “no ma’am and if you get the parts yourself (from the manufacture) that it will void my warranty!But That’s what I did with the other part and he came and installed it so I don’t know what the difference is.I understand COVID has put a strain on a lot of things right now and I’ve been very patient and understanding with this company but it shouldn’t take 5months to fix a dryer!!! And today after the way that lady’s treated me I am furious. I will never use this company again and have called whirlpool and made them very aware of what’s happened and how I was treated they completely agreed it was unacceptable and after they finish this job they will no longer match me with S&S for my repair needs.If nothing is done by February 3rd they will schedule me with another company.The only reason I give this company two starts is because of Natoshia, she understands how hard and costly it is not having your appliances when having a large family and tried her best to help.Covid can’t be an excuse for everything, I suggest you hire some more technicians so customers aren’t waiting two weeks just to get their appliances looked at and I also suggest you hire more professional people to answer your phones.

This company at is unprofessional. I have been waiting since August to get my microwave repaired. I was assigned them thru American Home Shield. They came to the house then ordered the wrong parts. I was notified they say they were scheduled to come that they didn’t have the parts. When the parts came in the microwave still didn’t work. Then the repairman was sick again I was notified after he was supposed to be there. They continue to try to come when I am not home instead of calling (like they promised they would )when they are on their way. It takes sitting on hold a minimum of ten minutes before anyone answers and then they hung up on me. I hope American Home Shield will pick a new appliance company to work for them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Over a month and they still haven’t made it to my house to fix my dryer which is under warranty through Lowe’s. Each time they were scheduled to come....I received an email the day of stating they only had one technician and they rescheduled me. I went ahead and called another company and had it fixed within 24 hours.I called Lowe’s warranty department and filed a formal complaint against this company. Everyone please do the same so they lose their contract with Lowe’s!!!!
