Simmons is an awesome retailer. I have bought many items over their website due to they offer free shipping and no tax to GA! I recently ordered a red dot optic over a Labor Day sale and FedEx lost the package. I called to let Simmons know what had happened and the red dot was now sold out. They let me know more was going to come in a few weeks and I could get it sent then. Simmons gave me an option for an upgrade to a higher end model for free. They didnt need to do this, but I accepted it. They are a great company with even better customer service!

Went to make a firearm purchase, left with clothes. I have no complaints on my purchase, staff was very helpful. If you want a 9mm...theyve got them. I wanted a .45, but not a 1911 and that was the only real option I had. The popular demand right now is conceal carry 9mm/.380, which I own both. Simmons always has great deals on firearms and Ive bought from them before. So, when they get in what Im wanting Ill be there...

Great prices on ammo from .22LR and 9mm up to 223/5.56 and 300 blackout way better pricing than most places with no limits on boxes per person. Super friendly and helpful staff and a awesome selection off pistols and long guns and Ar-15s and huge selection of safes from small to huge 80 gun safes. I highly recommend if you have time to stop or if your in search for some 9mm give them a try you wont be disappointed at all

This has everything a big store would but the staff is way more personal with each customer. Got ask if we need help by every employee there. Customer service is hard to find but not here.

Don’t do mail order business thru Gun Broker with them. They sold me a weapon that was advertised as having an optic. The weapon did not. One month later, they claim that a review of their”records” showed there was an optic. Upon receipt, review OF THE PACKAGE AND CONTENTS by me and the gun store staff showed they lied to me. I bought three guns and two were faulty. They exchanged one with no problem but didn’t do the same for the other. After explaining what happened they said they’d send it to their gunsmith. I received the gun back after over a month and still having said issue. That’s money down the drain.

Wont find a friendlier staff anywhere I guarantee it. Knowledgeable folks with an excellent selection on hand.

Parking is not bad considering its in a down town setting. The reason for that is a very run down area around Simmons. However as you enter youll find a large selection of clothing, fishing, hunting, and even items you wouldnt expect like bath bombs. The service is still excellent and thats probably whats allowed them to outlive many businesses around them. I would highly recommend stopping by here for any outdoor needs.

I stopped in the other day, on an ammo run. They have a nice selection of ammunition for a lot less than most others! It my favorite place to shop for fishing produce

The first time we came in was great but this time 1/9/21 before 11am the guy was a bit rude but that could have just been because of who he was assisting. Unfortunately, that made me remove 3 stars. Some people act as if they have always had knowledge of certain things and get a bit aggressive when someone who doesn’t know about something inquires about it.

The service was great, and the staff was nice and helpful as usual. I got there 12 minutes before closing and they were great in helping me find what I needed without rushing me, and entertaining my small child at the same time. They know how to take care of your and make you feel welcome.

Too pricey! Found a rod & reel decent price. Another rod & reel decent price. But OVERALL TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE!

This is the greatest place to go and purchase any type of hunting and fishing items you need. They have great prices. They also have great items on sale. Super crazy selection from A-Z on handguns/shotguns. Semi/Bolt Rifles are on the medium side when it comes to selection. Now the staff, amazing. Period! It gets a bit chaotic during times (Sqft is a little bit less than most Sporting Good stores but hold on to your loves ones and enjoy the show. Employees behind counter or in the isles, either or theyre looking at you then boom, You guys need some help? Cant find something? Wait 30 seconds and you will see the team run to you!!Overall. Smaller store but jammed packed full of deals with a sales team ready to help at every corner. Plus they take trade ins which most stores dont ☺. Left 1 star out just for the fact of it can get super busy/crowded/chaotic at times. You owe it to yourself to give Simmons a chance!!! Trust me

I have on repeated occasions tried to do business here and all have failed. Staff at the gun counter are rude and not helpful at all. I mainly go here for reloading supplies and nobody at the gun counter has a clue. Prices are much too high. Called today about an ammo checker and got I dont know what an ammo checker is in a very rude voice.If you want to have your ego stroked about paying too much money for something this is the place. However make sure you dress up nice or the staff will ignore you at best and belittle you at worst

If I could give negative stars I would. I went in today to purchase a handgun. Never owning one before I had a few questions in mind that I planned on asking before purchasing one. However, I was in front of the gun showcase for almost 45 min and not one employee asked if they could help me or if I had any questions. There were about 5 employees walking around behind the showcase and 1 employee was leaving against the backstop and talking on his phone to a mechanic about getting the brakes replaced on his vehicle. I’ll never step foot in this place ever again. I’ll take the extra time to drive to anyplace else than go someplace that’s literally 10 minutes from my house

I have been looking for some 12 gauge 00 . I will have to go back they are going fast. They also had a couple of the 45s !!

Simmons is a bit of a trip for me but always worth the drive. Some items are hard to find currently but you wouldnt know it looking at their shelves. I found everything I needed and was treated well, as always.

The sales people are always so helpful. We went because of the sidewalk sale going on until Christmas. And got several things from the sidewalk sale that was very reasonably priced. And other things inside that we needed like new thermals and outerwear for hunting that we needed new ones and even found camo coveralls to fit our granddaughter who hunts with us. Some items are pricey but hey if you can afford it and its what you want then go for it! Always shop locally when you can!

Went there today to buy my father in-law a birthday gift with my wife. I wasnt purchasing a firearm. But the young man behind the counter was really snooty and began asking questions to my wife who was buying the firearm for her father.Questions like who are you really buying this gun for you or him?Referring to me, my wife said no. I said we are buying her father a birthday gift..This guy never explained anything about the firearm only stood behind the counter with a look of distrust. Just the vibe he gave off was uneasy. As if he didnt want us in the store. He didnt even say thank you after my wife purchased the firearm.Its sad; some people can be really negative in their own little way. But he came and told my wife there was a delay on the other firearm she wanted.Me myself I have bought three firearms from here and never been questioned like my wife was today. Most staff is friendly and courteous. This really bothered my wife.

I purchased a KVD baitcasting reel from them using Amazon. I returned the product only to be told by Peter Simmons that my return box did not contain the reel. I believe that is not accurate. Based on my personal experience I would not do any more mail order business with then where you might need to return the product.

Okay here we go. I brought my 5 and 6 year old boys to get outfitted for deer season. The older and younger woman did a magnificent job getting them fitted proper, I cannot thank you enough, 5 stars. Now moving on to gun sales and service. Where do you find these people? Most of them are so old and senile they dont know what day it is. It was a huge deal just to see if they had a model gun that I wanted in the inventory. Then when they found something, they could not figure out how to put the bolt into the rifle, and said it was a product defect. Really? A Weatherby Mark V Deluxe? I spent maybe 30 minutes to get my boys outfitted, then at least 2 hours with the gun fiasco. Finally I just left. Get it together guys, I could have saved 2 hours and bought it online.

Been going to Simmons my whole life. Literally my whole life. If it wasnt a good Sporting Goods retailer, I would have changed the Habit by now. Since their expansion several years ago, its just made for a bigger selection now. Competitive prices. The Firearms salesmen know their stuff in and out. Including Optics. Although, occasionally, you have to overlook the rare attitude from just a couple of them. But overall, my favorite sporting goods store, bar none.
