The food was great. We sat outside. The tables needed to be cleaner and perhaps a screening for this area to alleviate any dust coming from the gravel area. We were recognized sufficiently by the staff. Place mats would have also been nice for the tables for tables outside. The napkins were also kind of cheap. You need 4 or 5 sheets to do the job.

BBQ is a favorite of mine. I go out of my way to try a new BBQ restaurant. This is worth the extra drive. Its really good sliced BBQ! They have several sauces to choose from; tomato based and vinegar. All were really good. I got the large BBQ sandwich with slaw. It was awesome!

First time here! Chicken fingers were very tasty! Very moist! The downfall: the breading did not stick to the chicken. The food, while good, was greasy. Just picking up a fry made my fingers very greasy. The homemade sauces, while good, they were heavy on the vinegar...the apple butter sauce and the alabama red sauce tasted about the same. The comeback sauce and homemade ranch were great! The rolls were amazing! Very moist and not dry. Cant wait to try more!

Food is good but way overpriced! I had a hamburger patty with 2 tiny ice cream scoops of sides for $20. I would come back if it wasnt so expensive. I left still hungry.

Always consistent in quality of food and service! Baked beans are outstanding, as are the ribs, brisket Reuben and potato salad. Collards melt in your mouth. Have adapted since the pandemic, and have added curbside service. Much appreciated!

Had the fried catfish and it just melted in my mouth. Two sides come with it. I chose the creamy cold slaw and green fried tomatoes. Love the slaw but the green fried tomatoes wasnt what I expected. Over-all the food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will go back and try the Bar-B-Que selections they offer.
Food and service are both absolutely fantastic. Id consider this a must-have restaurant in the area. It blows my mind how good it is considering the area. They have a few things here, such as homemade sauces that you cannot get anywhere else and its amazing. The wife said the brisket is some of the best shes ever eaten. We did have a bit of an issue at first (with their website) but they made it right. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys :)

My husband and I brought our daughter for her 13th birthday. We live No of Birmingham and a friend recommended the grill while we were staying on that side of town.both my daughter and I had the brisket sandwich and truly enjoyed it. The brisket was comparative to the BBQ in TX- which is a GOOD thing! My husband had the pork sandwich and would have preferred it to have been chopped. We’ll order differently next time.

This place is amazing. The brisket quesadillas are so worth the price and so good I havent even tried anything else yet.Since the pandemic they have set up a kind of trailer out back that you can drive up to to pick up an online order. The ordering process was very easy and descriptive compared to most other online ordering platforms. A little pricey but well worth it. The service and food are always so good I drive 45 minutes out of the way to scarf down a meal in the parking lot lmao. Just wonderful.
This is by far the best place to eat in McCalla. Tonight my wife and I both had a brisket quesadilla. The ingredient list is every fat kids dream. The meat is perfectly cooked and SUPER tender. The Mexican muffins are the best combo of sweet and spicy you could ask for. And the staff is always super nice. Restrooms are immaculate. And the dining area stays warm, even when its 28 degrees outside. You cant ask for a better dining experience. Also the fried banana pudding is to die for. Cant leave that out.
My Philly cheesesteak and Fries were absolutely delicious. They have a very friendly staff. Be careful in the parking lot particularly when it is dark its very small and heavily traveled. Because the food is so consistently great it stays very busy so if you were placing a to-go order place it well in advance but it is worth the wait

I went for the first time on a Thursday evening-fabulous on appetizer, entree. Been back twice with friends, my new favorite restaurant. I am such a foodie that if the food isn’t better than what I cook, I won’t go back. I am all about food, health rating above 90, dessert, service and price. This place is a hidden gem! I had the open face brisket lunch special with collard greens. The greens were delicious, just like my grandma made. The brisket was great but I wasnt crazy about the gravy. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be returning.

Good food, good service, little disappointed with customers and workers not wearing masks. Signs up saying that customer should wear a mask, but while we were in line, several customers didnt have one on.
I have eaten at Smokin Hot about five or six times over the past few months, getting something different each time. And I haven’t found anything bad so far. I guess I will just have to keep trying to find something until I try everything on their menu.
This a super cool place. A little out of the way, but the food and service are spot on. Owner was there as well. Very friendly and his recommendations were great. Definitely go back and will tell all my friends.

Wasnt sure what to expect from outside and the location but everything was great. Ok so its like go through a line and to order then give them your name and they bring it to the table which isnt my favorite but for the food Ill put up with it. We got barbecue pork and smoked wings, both were amazing. The sides were delicious, especially the potato salad, best potato salad Ive had in a while. They have beer on tap and it looked like a full bar. Im definitely going back.

According to the cashier, you have to let them enter your personal information in their computer to be able to eat here. I told her I didnt want to be in the computer. Her best solution was for me to lie about my info. I just want to eat, not be hassled! Im now at Full Moon BBQ, where they were happy to take my order and serve me good food hassle free. Wow.In response to the owner: You act like its a normal thing, but Ive never been to a restaurant that wanted to put my full name in their computer. I gave your cashier my first name with no complaint. This was not enough; she said I had to give my full name or, like you said, make one up. To me that is lying, and I dont understand the need. I travel a good bit, and eat out a good bit. Having to be in your computer to eat is a first for me. Heres another idea: serve your customers good food without a hassle and they will likely come back. If they come back enough, you will know their names. Leave the computer out of it.

Only been twice but wasnt happy either time. First time ribs were way over cooked and cold. Then the last time my food was just ice cold. Flavors in the food are there, but thats it. Its a nice place, its very clean, the staff is great, but its high priced. If my food had been hot today, I would have given 4 stars easy.
Took my family to eat there on Monday evening and it was a great experience. We all ordered different items so we could share. Everything from the wings to the salads to the service was perfect. The young lady Alyeya was extra special when taking our order describing the menu items to my elderly father in terms that he could understand. This was our first time but definitely not our last.
We love eating out. Last night we came to this superb place which friends recommended to us. We enjoyed a delightful evening there with high-qulity meal and a courteous crew and a professional cuisine. We added this place in our phone list and we shall surely visit again soon. We warmly recommend.

First the negative part: I had a pulled pork sandwich and my wife had a chicken sandwich, and we thought that the meat in both was quite dry.Positives: The staff were super friendly. The multiple sauces were fun to try (apple butter BBQ sauce? Way better than I expected). The pineapple upside down cake was among the best Ive ever had, and Ill go back just for that! Next time Ill try something other than the BBQ.
Loved the waitress and environment of the place. The smoking brisket quesadilla was pretty good according to my wife. I had the hamburger steak and it was awful. I ordered medium well and it was burnt. I just got onions and they were really over cooked as well. It just had an awful taste. The mash potatoes were extremely dry and lacked flavor. The side salad was delicious and the sweet tea was good. Again, loved the environment as it was very friendly. I’m not a picky eater, but that hamburger steak was uneatable. Will try again, but I would stay as far as away as you can from the hamburger steak.
Loved it! Plenty of parking, a ton of food selection. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our group. I had the tacos and the cheese grits. Tasty! I would love to go back.

I had the Jumbo barbecue pork sandwich,IT was delicious. I like what they are doing with the sauces, I like mine a little thicker, THEY went away from the traditional sauces,that makes it theres. Several sauces to choose from like The Alabama Red, South Carolina Mustard was tasty just to name a few. I will definitely be going back, plus Mike gave me a Military Discount TODAY. First impressions are EVERY THING PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE.
Held forever for a curbside order then they hung up on me. Called back over 20 times and line rang busy each time. Used to be my go to bbq place but am very disappointed in the service I got today. I understand they were likely busy but we were just trying to support small businesses in these difficult times. Next time Ill just go to Jim n Nicks.

Great BBQ with a good selection of different sauces. The menu is so full its not an easy read. I had a chicken salad, inside chopped BBQ sandwich, fries and a sweet tea.
I had their beef brisket reuben and it was fantastic. The fries were good too. Workers there were all very nice and polite. I wish I would have gotten some dessert.

We eat at Smokin Hot constantly. They never disappoint! The owners and staff are super friendly, the food is fabulous and the prices are extremely reasonable! Our favorites are the brisket sandwich or plate, the smokin chicken sandwich, mac n cheese, and fried green tomatoes. They have just recently added onion rings that are so good and a new favorite! We highly recommend Smokin Hot!

Just visited Smokin Hot for the first time with my wife and granddaughter. We ordered brisket and my granddaughter ordered the taco salad. The brisket was moist, flavorful, and fork-tender. We would highly recommend Smokin Hot to anyone looking for great food in an inviting atmosphere. Keep it Smokin!!!
WOW!! Delish food, extremely inviting atmosphere and very friendly customer service. Literally ZERO complaints - and I was looking!!! We will absolutely be back!! ... Do NOT get two margaritas unless someone else is driving.P.S. very CLEAN - as a momma and woman, this is HUGE!!! Bathrooms, open kitchen, and “deck” are all clean and well kept.

This is a very friendly place. Good location. Good selection of beer. The BBQ was great tasting and a huge portion but it was cold. The selection of BBQ sauces was excellent especially the Alabama Red sauce. Will be going again. Hopefully the food will arrive warm.

This place deserves an award for their ribs. LITERALLY. AMAZING 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The Rueben is also delicious and the bread pudding. I could go on. We almost always order our food to go because it gets crazy busy inside and fills up quickly. So if your husband is grumpy like mine just order to go and save yourself the drama.
Best BBQ and sides for the money. Staff and Owner very pleasant and the abundance of TVs ensures you dont miss a play! Only suggestion I would have is to use table top numbers instead of the loud speaker to announce the customer name.
Very good food, service can be a little rough around the edges. I didnt get my sandwich without asking but they were quick to act and were more than generous with extra sides to make up for it. All in all a great place to eat.
