The service at this place really helped me out today. I called on a Stihl shop in the Birmingham area i will not name and they would not give me 5 minutes to help me with a chainsaw. I came into Advanced with my 180C already pulled apart. It took them 5 minutes with the right experience and tool to do what I could not. Saved the day. Would recommend people like this every day of the week. Big thanks to the Advanced Mower service team.
Knowledgeable salesman with an attitude of service and seeking to answer my questions rather than being in a hurry to sell me something. Also his service attitude was with equal zeal after the sale. I shopped three other dealers that were closer to me but I never felt good about their approach. I drove 35 miles further to purchase my mower from AdvancedMower after a simple helpful phone conversation with the salesman convinced me of their professionalism and service after resale. Ive purchased several things and had a few items serviced from Advanced Mower and have always had a good experience. They are not only friendly but knowledgeable about the equipment. Service can be a little pricey but you get what you pay for, I highly recommend them.

Went here last minute to buy a chainsaw for a tree that fell in my yard. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and got me all set up with what I needed. Never tried to up sell me or get me to buy anything unnecessary. I’ll definitely be returning for any other purchases and for servicing my equipment.
Prices are a little high you have to leave a $70 deposit if you want them to look at your lawnmower

Great customer service!! I switched lawn mower brands from Gravely to Exmark cause the local gravely dealers customer service was subpar!! The repair shop being separated from the sales guys here at Advanced really gives them an advantage over other places in town .Even though the repair shop was backed up 5 weeks they got me in and out in 10 days time. My gravely dealer sold me a mower but they didnt stock the blades for that machine. Luckily one of the guys here at Advanced Mower is a pro at cross matching blades and I was back to work in no time!!

I was sold an ignition coil without any warning that if it were installed I could not return it. I did not have the correct model number so he picked the one that looked the closest and told me to try it. Now they say I cant return this $55 part. They want me to pay $57 for the correct one and just looser the $55 I already paid for the wrong. They may have been polite, but I do not recommend you buy your parts here.

I was in the market for a new push mower and after looking around and reading reviews I found a model that had everything on my check list. The only problem was I would have to buy it from a supplier and couldnt get it from a Big Box retailer. This would be my first dealing with a outdoor equipment supplier which was fine with me as they are supposed to have the model out of the box, tested, and ready to go. Not only that but Advanced Mower is two minutes down the street. So really I was going to get better service and if I had trouble they are close by, right? No absolutely not, I had a horrible experience dealing with Advanced Mower.I walked in on Wednesday and asked if they had the model I was looking for. The associate explained that they did not have any and did not see any on the list to be delivered on Friday. I then had to ask him to add the model I wanted to the shipment so I could buy it when it came in. He took my name and number and said he would let me know when it arrived. He never called and after I called three times only to be stuck on endless hold finally got in touch with someone on Saturday. He never placed the order and said that he would not because there was no way to know if I was going to buy it... This is the ONLY supplier in my area that has the ability to order this mower and they refused to let me purchase equipment from them.I am two minutes from Advanced Mowers and ended up driving forty minutes to another dealer in Montevallo who not only had the model I wanted but was willing to work out a great deal with me. The time and money spent on driving to AVOID dealing with Advanced Mowers was well worth it. Do yourself a favor and choose a supplier that will want to work with you no matter what your problem is or part your looking for. Which is obviously anywhere but Advanced Mowers.
One of the best places to get your mowers serviced. The best place to get your chainsaw chain sharpened. They have a Frazen sharpener.
All I can say is wow! Tim is the only guy in three states that was able to work on my Toro stump grinder. I had to drive 3 hours to get to him but it was worth it. Additionally Tim helped me trouble shoot a small problem so I wouldnt have to drive all the way up there. Best service I have ever had!
Pick up/Delivery Service. After not getting very good details on turn around time when arranging pick up, the shop decided to make it right.I called for a status when I discovered the unfortunate turn around time. Im sorry but for the payment upfront that was required, I assumed (my mistake) that my mower would be looked at immediately. I was told my mower will be looked at this week since I wasnt told up front. I will update my review accordingly.Update: Shop called a few hours later to update me on the mowers issues. They will have it fixed and back to me this week. Im reserving the final star for the actual working condition when I get the mower back.
Anthony is the Service Department went above and beyond to help me in my needs. He was very transparent and didnt try to upsale me anything I didnt need which was nice! We talked and he was able to narrow down my options without forcing me to get something I didnt really need. Will definitely be back!

Every time I go into this store I am greeted quickly! They are always busy which is always a good sign for business. I dont do business with people who are not busy. They have recently hired some additional staff and one of them speaks Spanish!
Way, way over priced. I expect to pay a few dollars more on something buying it locally instead of online, but when you can get the same name brand, new with warranty part online for 103.05 less, I wont be back.

This place is a shining example of a local business that apparently HAS ALL THE CUSTOMERS THEY NEED. They are located just a few minutes from where I live, and would be a great resource if their CUSTOMER SERVICE was NOT a pain in the a$$. Over the past few years Ive tried going there 5 or 6 times for parts and/or service, and each time was treated with attitude and rather rudely in every way. Considering how high their prices are on eqipment, parts, and service, youd think theyd at least treat their walk-in customers better. I am a big believer in supporting locally-owned businesses, and would like to think that I am a good customer. So now Ill drive somewhere else 30 minutes away, knowing that Ill at least be treated better. If you are the owner of this place, you really need to re-think your approach to Customer Service (or employee morale). You could probably double the size of your business if you just treated customers as an asset instead of a hassle.

I always come here for any small engine repair needs. They have an excellent inventory with the ability to order any part they dont have and even ones they dont normally carry or sell. If the selection wasnt enough, the prices easily rival what you could find on the internet for an easy win win. Highly recommended!
Dont shop here. GO TO 3M KARTS AND MOWERS. I was in a bind and needed to buy a hedge trimmer. They had employees in the store but they werent open yet. He wouldnt open the door. I own a lawn care company. This has never happened to me at 3 M karts. I now see why they have such bad reviews. Never going back

Wanted to find out the price and availability of a part late one night so that I could get an early start on the repair if they had it, since I live only a couple of miles away from their shop. Went to their Parts page on their website, where I found rather specific instructions on how to send them an email inquiry, and an exact email address. I followed the instructions to the letter. The next day I get an autoresponse email that basically stated that due to the amount of email we receive, we cant answer your via email, please call our parts department at xxx-xxx-xxxx. So I decided to go do some other errands, but called the shop at around 1:30 pm on a SATURDAY. Got a recorded message stating regular weekday hours, and Saturday hours of 8 am to 12 noon. HELLO??!? WHEN do most working people cut their grass and just MIGHT have a problem with their equipment??!? And WHY put up an email address if you have NO intention of returning an inquiry?? About a year before, I called regarding how long it might take to repair my mower if I brought it in, and was made to hold for about 20 minutes - but they didnt put me on hold they just put the receiver down, so I got an earful of an inane conversation about how the guy who answered the phone had spent his weekend! They REALLY must have a TON of business to be able to afford to run it in such a crappy, unresponsive manner. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Terrible service i took my weedeater in to have it fixed. I stoped by to check on it after the first week went by, all they could tell me was its on the list. Stopped by again after the second week went by, they said its that time of the yaer. Stoped by that Monday after the third week went by and i got the same old excuses. By this time i was pissed so the guy there told me it would be done by Friday. I told him if it wasnt i wanted my weedeater and my $50.00 dollar deposit back so i could take my buisness elsewhere. I get a txt on Wednesday saying my weedeater is ready but its gonna cost me $173. Dollars.

I dropped my mower off for repair on April 20th, 2015 and it still is not finished! They told me when I dropped it off that it would be 28 days which is ridiculous and I should not have left it with them but I had another mower that I could use and I didnt think it would be a big deal..(shame on me for that). It should have been ready on May 27th but its now June 17th and I still dont have a mower. Their service is terrible and the employees are rude and very inhospitable except for one guy who was very polite and understanding when I expressed my frustration when I called to check today. I will never go back to this place...ever.
