Had to have my windshield replaced and decided to bring my vehicle here rather than a remote replacement. I have used Safelite to replace side windows but know the windshield is more complicated. They were very busy but only had to wait 15 minutes before their technician started on my windshield. Once begun, the work required 90 minutes, which is what was estimated, after I asked. Everyone was helpful and friendly when approached. Otherwise there was no general overview discussion either at the beginning or afterwards. Check-out and payment is swift. Other than a clear need for a new sign, I recommend either the manager or a technician explain the process before and/or after to better manage customer expectations and enhance service quality. I reserve my overall impression of workmanship after the next time I drive in the rain... Stay tuned...
Took daughter’s car for chip repair as directed by insurance company. Chip repair failed(grew to 18 inch crack)… these things happen. But they refused to call Tesla two blocks away for windshield. Drove to Tesla immediately. Windshield in inventory, installed by Tesla next day. Safe lite could’ve easily expedited it. But chose not to. Two Safelite Service Trucks idle in the parking lot. Daughter delayed for travel under orders for Military.Life happens, Safelite the insurer’s preference failed. Safelite could not get replacement windshield for 10 days!!! Genuinely disappointed by Safelite lack of responsiveness.
I am getting frustrated with this company. I got my first appointment with them through my insurance company. The tech showed up with the wrong glass and told me they will reschedule. Second appointment was scheduled after I called and complained. The glass was replaced but now we need to slam the liftgate in order to close it. A tech came yesterday to look at it and told me a manager will call me because they may need to replace it but no one called, I just received a new schedule for today. The new tech came and asked me what the problem was and he couldnt initially close the liftgate. I told him he needs to slam it thus he told me a manager will call. Of course nobody called again. I contacted the number twice this afternoon and was told someone will come and fix the issue today between 12 and 5PM. After 5:30, a manager called and told me that I need to bring the car to the shop because they have a dealer part to replace what they have initially installed. I went there yesterday and as soon as I got home he called me and told me that nothing is wrong with the window that we just need to slam it to close. Finally, after I insisted, he made some adjustments and I was able to close it then we have noticed that a bolt is missing. He told someone will come either yesterday or today to put on. I called three times today nobody came or picked up my calls. The rear wiper does not work. I will not recommend this company.After receiving the reply from the owner, I though I will give them a benefit of doubt but again no one called.
Scheduled an appointment two weeks out. After drop off and waiting two hours I come back to check if ready and am informed they don’t have the correct glass in stock. I wasn’t called or notified. Really hard to get in and out of this location.
I scheduled an appointment here not once but twice to get my windshield replaced. I am normally a pretty positive reviewer, but this place deserves the 1 star Im giving it. Both times I tried to bring my car in, they told me an hour after arriving that the replacement glass was broken and that they could not perform the work. It would be trivial to call me ahead of time to tell me that. Absolutely unprofessional. It is a huge waste of time. If it had happened once I might have been more understanding, but twice means it is a habit of this branch. I would avoid this branch.

Dont waste your time here. Like another reviewer, we were referred here by our insurance company USAA. Made the appointment, waited two weeks for the glass to get ordered, dropped off my car, uberd home, then got a call saying theyd ordered the wrong glass and that I needed to pick up my car and reschedule. Got the car and began the whole process all over again. Two weeks later, dropped off my car, uberd home, then got a call saying theyd ordered the wrong glass again and that I needed to pick up my car and reschedule. Thats more than 4 hours and 4 weeks wasted with these incompetents. Called the manager for an explanation, never got my calls returned. Went to the dealer, got the job done professionally and promptly and insurance paid for it. These guys may be fine with a simple replacement on an older car but if you have a more recent car where the windshield has sensors, forget it.
The worst service Ive ever had. They are not professional. Stay away from this branch. I was waiting one month! to a part, a sensor inside the windshield. Every day they told me we have the part you can come in, but when arrived, the said, oh, sorry we had had a mistake.I went to another branch in Rockville MD, they are great, they solved the issue in 10 minutes.
Great experience getting my windshield replaced. I was able to get a price competitive quote online and book my appointment. The day of the appointment drop-off was straightforward and a few hours later my windshield was fixed. All around great service. Especially compared to my auto dealer who I tried calling 5 times to get a quote and it was like pulling teeth to get a response. Thanks Safelite!

My husband got my car windshield replaced. After windshield was replaced they told him that they dont guarantee that cameras will work in a bad weather condition. ( I mean if they would tell us this we would go someplace where they would guarantee this), under new windshield there are old peaces of glass and also plastic that goes around windshield was not placed correctly so when we start driving a car it just flew away. Speakers are also not correctly installed (I guess they took them out to replace windshield) Most importantly you can never get in touch with them, automatic service says to book an appointment online. Horrible service and I would not recommend this place to anyone. thank you.
I am giving Safelite a one star review due to poor customer service. A pebble from the highway cracked my windshield which required a windshield replacement. I scheduled an appointment with Safelite, they were punctual and professional for the replacement. However, after the windshield replaced the windshield wipers no longer function. I have called Safelite Bethesda many times, but no one answers the phone, and there is no option to leave a voice message. I scheduled a follow up appointment via the website. The appointment is TWO weeks away. I can not drive the vehicle on rainy days, such as the past two days due to the unsafe conditions of nonfunctional wipers. Having the windshield replacement from Safelite has caused more of a safety issue and inconvenience then the crack from the pebble!Again... after the windshield replacement the windshield wipers no longer function. I have called Safelite to have them exam/repair the wipers...... Perhaps someone from Bethesda Safelite will read this review and reach out to expedite the repair of the nonfunctional wipers so I can drive my car. I paid $360 dollars which is not cheep for a windshield replacement and expect satisfactory customer service

I have had the pleasure of dealing with this store, my appointment was set by their national appointment scheduling center and its been days of bad service and non communication ever since.My first appointment was set and got confirmations, the technician never came and no one contacted me to update me on anything. My insurance rep informed me that they did not have the parts and they have just ordered them.I requested EOM parts and might need to pay the difference, they still cannot tell me what that difference is. I have not gotten a call back from the manager as promised and he has set another appointment for me without speaking with me. There has been no communication, the only way I found out was through their automated message when you call their number.I have never experienced that level of unprofessionalism and bad customer service in all my time as a driver.
The service was poor and could not tell if the repair was actually made. The customer service was really good but I really care about the ultimate service.
I had such a great experience. I was able to book my appointment through my insurance app (Geico) and they started working on it as soon as I got there. My car had been broken into via the drivers side rear vent window and they were able to replace it in less than half an hour!!! They even vacuumed up all the glass from the break-in. Pretty sure it took me longer to drive there than the length of time to fix it. The COVID precautions are on point and I will absolutely come here again if I need another replacement or repair!

Replaced the windshield in our Ford Fusion leaving a half inch gap and chipped the paint. Someone came by to checkout the work said they wouldn’t have done it that way but they wouldn’t fix it and offered black primer to touch up chipped paint of our white car. Service was quick and easy

I went there to get a crash wrap. They did not remove all of the shards of glass from the seat, floor and rubber door flap. I thought that this would be completed when the window was replaced and it wasnt.
I didnt think my insurance paid out for a windshield repair because I have a $1000 deductible. Brittany worked some magic and was able to get it partially paid for. She did her best to work with me and my insurance to make sure I was paying the least amount I had to. She was also a courteous and consummate professional. The chips they repaired in my windshield practically disappeared. I highly recommend this place for your auto glass repair needs.
I just got my windshield replaced here. They were friendly and professional. The technician did a great job and the new windshield looks solid. It took 1.5 hours. It is a good place to get windshield repair/replacement if you live near the area.
I recently came in to have my windshield repaired (I had a small star fracture and a small circular chip). I was able to schedule an appointment for first thing on a Monday morning, and they helped me right away. They were honest about the potential need to replace the windshield, but were able to simply repair it after all. I also got replacement windshield wipers. I only had to wait about one hour, and the waiting room was nice and clean. In the end, they also worked to get me a discount based on my insurance, and had totally cleaned my car as well. This was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Terrible service, they make appointments without the supplies. Manager is late. They are excellent at making appointments and reminding you of them, poor at actually honoring their appointments.

They replaced my rear window and left all of the old glass and rubber seals in the bed of my truck, which I didnt notice until I got home. They also said it would take 2 hours and they would call me. I finally went back two and a half hours after I left it, with no other customers in the shop when I was there, and it had been done for some time and they did not call me, wasting probably an hour and a half out of a very busy day.
They took care of me quickly I love the customer service there.
I set an appointment 3wks prior. The day of the appointment, I showed up only to be told that the windshield I needed had not been ordered. A courtesy call to let me know this before I drove 35m would have been appreciated.

I went here yesterday to have my rear quarter panel window replaced. I made this appointment almost a month in advance, however even after I arrived they did not have the correct colored part. The technician explained to me that they had ordered the right color, however the distributor sent over the wrong one and it would take about an hour to locate a new one. I left the shop at 10:15 am and was assured that I would hear back within the hour. After 2 and a half hours I called back and another representative said that they were still looking for the part and would call me back soon. At 5pm I received a text that said my appointment was cancelled.. This was extremely unprofessional and if I ever have the misfortune of breaking another window, I WILL NOT be bringing it here for replacement again, EVER.

I had my windshield on my 2002 Corvette replaced. An adjustment had to be made on the Heads Up Display that is projected onto the windshield and the installers were a great help with it.
My car was broken into, with my rear passenger window being smashed in as a result. I called State Farm and they suggested I use Safelight and they booked an appointment at the Bethesda location for the following day. I dropped my car off in the morning, took the metro to work, and came back and picked up my car right before they closed at 5pm. They did a great job on the window, even cleaned up all the broken glass on the inside. I was expecting a headache working with insurance to get the window fixed, but I didnt have to pay a dime. I really appreciated the timeliness too, as I was leaving for a week-long vacation the following day. I highly recommend this place!

Scheduled my car for the windshield to be replaced twice. The 1st time they called to cancel because the windshield was not and was on backorder. Which is OK as I didnt have to waste the rest of my day waiting for them. About 2 weeks later they called me back saying that the glass was in and to schedule an appointment. I scheduled it for Tuesday. I show up today to the safelite to drop off my car. I hand them the keys I see them drive the car into the garage I head back to work. 15 minutes later I get a call that the car was not gonna be able to get done today as geico ordered the incorrect windshield. I then have to uber back to the safelite to pick up my car. I then talk to the attendant who told me that the windshield never arrived as it wasnt delivered and that when they checked with Toyota it was still in back order. I asked them if they knew that the windshield wasnt in why didnt they call me in the morning or an hour before my appointment to let me know that I need to reschedule as the windshield was in back order. I wasted my time and money getting to the place because they didnt have the sense to let their customers know that they need to reschedule.

An absolutely awful experience. They neglected to order the part I requested, then lied about it when I came in. Only a week later did I find out they hadnt even started on my order, and when it finally was filed, they shipped it to a different location that wasnt even close to me. They also promised a discount and never communicated that to the new store. Will never order from this company again.
