Only place to park on this base. The parking structure seems sketchy though. It rained and the place flooded. There are only two restaurants in the food court both Asian. The design of this next is strange and the layout not super helpful. There are loose stairs in the exterior stairwell. Surprisingly did not find much childrens stuff in stock.
Great experience shopping for household products. Would go again today. Must have military id. Enjoy your day.
Great place to explore and purchase great beers, wines and spirits from all over the globe. The staff is very knowledgeable and the selection is pretty good. Every Saturday The Wine Chick is there from 12:00pm to 3:00pm for wine tastings in the NEX package store. Every week she sample some of the best wines from all around the world. They also host meet the wine maker or vineyard owner events too!
I enjoy a stroll around the NEX and you can easily pick up on line orders there.
Its a nice place to stop into before or after a medical appointment. The clothes are always current and on-trend.
Sadly, other than the lack of tax there is little benefit to the NEX anymore. The prices are often higher than the local economy and selection is smaller. THis NEX is clean and well kept and well stocked. The Barber shop is appropriately staffed and ABC section is quite large. The staff is largely friendly although some have a grump on. Your best use of this facility is for major purchases upon which you can save taxes and alcohol. Sundries and food items are best purchased at a local grocery or department store unless you need the convenience while on base.
I went to the jewelry dept. today looking for earrings for my wifes birthday. They had a great sale going for earrings. Roxie, the salesperson, was very nice and took the time to share her knowledge so I could get the best earrings within my price range. My wife loves them!
Always well stocked, staff is friendly enough depending which department youre in. Its a NEX, if youve ever been to one, then you know what to expect. This location has Liqour, clothes, some snack foods and drinks, no real commissary, some workout equipment, bathing cleaning and pre/post workout items (protein, pre-workout, etc), electronics, and a Military Clothing and Tailoring section.
Good prices!! Many unmasked people, I didnt feel comfortable.
Great prices on all essentials and a huge alcohol section and friendly staff.
Great place, the staff is super friendly and the take the extra mile to help!!!
Has what I need. Easy to shop.
People were friendly and helpful. The store wasnt too busy. The prices are good, no tax.
Love the NEX! Great prices and attentive staff
Very nice store attendant
NEX is a great store! It always has deals.
Excellent shopping choices with great prices (and no tax!)
My husband needed a new uniform for our daughters wedding and we drove down from Pennsylvania. The people in the uniform shop were wonderful. They had it tailored and ribboned in one hour. Amazing!! Thank you.
A good place to shop but they are not always great on restocking shelves quickly. They have a very good package store.
I had 3 people trying to help me find a makeup product. All personnel that I had contact with were very polite. It was a very good experience.
Great NEX. Military only, of course. Decent selection. Very good people.
Friendly staff and great selection of dept store items...
Always very helpful service. Good selection in the package store.
This Navy Exchange sells upscale merchandise, including perfumes, handbags, and other items. It has a Class Six store.
Always clean, not crowded, 100% mask-wearing.
Need rank sewn on my hat. They were super helpful and had it done in 5 min.
One of the largest exchange in this area and great pricing
Clean, physically distanced, helpful staff, upscale products, whats not to love!
Found what I wanted.
Professional sales representative; Justin
Great price, good service
This NEX probably has the nicest staff i have ever met around the world. so polite, helpful and professional, the barbershop is elaborate, you can get a mani-pedi, foot spa, nails styled, and your hair done in one place, make an appointment for best service. not a huge selection of items at the moment but i have only ever visited this place after the pandemic started, it seems like they had a more elaborate selection of everything before though.
It was great.
Its has fair merchandise at all price points, but can be a bit dear.
Have everything I need.
The NEX has gotten much worse the past few years. Poor selection available, sales are almost worthless lately, poorly marked prices like regular price items mixed in with sale items with confusing labels, cant get anyone to answer the phone for questions, and in store help is an Easter egg hunt. Package store is pretty good though. Everything else ..Ill go somewhere else.
On 10/11/2020 I bought my fourth iPhone at Costco/Wheaton. I explained to your Manager that Apple Store (3 iPhones) had always help me set-up/transfer everything from my phone, and I was asking him to do the same. He recognized that I was a senior and suggested T-Mobile for the cost. I went home - no emails, and missing contacts. Went back a 2nd and 3rd day. The sales associates were very helpful. The Manager came back from break on the 2nd day, and NOT very kindly downloaded the missing information. I needed adjustments in the screen (aging 70+ yo eyes). The third day a nice sales person who said he was not an Apple person helped me get everything working as needed. Retired salesperson (36 years), and I got substandard customer service from the Manager..
If you love high end clothing and shoes, then this is a great place. Finding more affordale pieces is harder though. Good selection of makeup and vitamins
We enjoy shopping at the NEX. They pretty much have everything we need. We went in looking for a tv and found a good bargain on 55 tvs and we dont have to pay taxes, thats a win! I took some pictures of the bargains they had on tvs. Take a look for yourself. We are still thinking about it since its a luxury item. We hope to go back and purchase a tv for our family. We also looked at the ladies boots, coats & purses. There were so many bargains on beautiful purses! The ladies boots were a bit pricey so we will wait for a sale.
Great store
Extremely large store as opposed to some of the other Bx and Pxs Ive been in. Parking is large. The store is split into two floors. Booze, toiletries, home goods, sports, and electronics on the bottom and clothing on the top floor. It seemed to have a good selection. I would go back here. The prices seemed competitive.
Love the customer service
Staff is usually nice, at least at checkout. Good selection of clothes, electronics, and home needs. The food court is not bad. The bathrooms are usually clean. The class six has a nice selection and they sell cigars. Sometimes they sell flowers and they are reasonably priced. You can even get a decent haircut in the facility.
This facility is the best base exchange Ive ever encountered. The layout is easy to maneuver around, their selection is huge, and the class six on the lower level was a pleasant surprise. Customer service was quick and friendly.
This place is very deceiving on pricing with some products like jewelry, watches some electronics like computers, cameras, memory and SD cards. They will actually have sales that actually drops prices to where they should be anyway. If you shop around elsewhere you can assuredly find better prices, even without the tax break. They are likely raising the prices and use the no tax deal to make you think you are getting the better end of the bargain. Not true. They also limit the selection so you lean to buying a higher priced option that you may not need, where elsewhere there would be a cheaper option that fits your actual need better. Ill continue to shop here but do not hesitate to check the price of the product elsewhere and see if they can match.
Best Military Exchange in the area. Its not a large store but it serves its purpose. Excellent customer service and always accommodating from employees, prices are great, sales, and discounts, latest trends and fashions. Thank you for serving the community.
I go here for most of my familys medical needs. The pharmacy can be a bit of a long wait but they have great care and everything is in one building. I have had surgery there and at the same time my family was visiting my hubby was able to take one of the kids to their appointment in the same building. Their main cafes food is to die for. I love going to the back of the cafe and see what their specials are. Love that taco salad they make just for you.
Great location for all sorts of items that you can get on sale. However if youre looking for food I recommend going to a commissary or off post. My wife won a gift basket here for our cat and Im very impressed with the professionalism of the staff.
The NEX pharmacy is open again.
I mostly go here for the barber shop ($11.50 a haircut), which is less than half the price it costs at some places for a decent fade. The Exchange itself has a great selection, but Ive had more misses than hits with asking associates questions about the products.
My experience at the Navy Exchange was wonderful as usual. I was trying to find a computer for my daughter whos on her way to college and the salespeople at the Apple desk and the electronic desk were extremely helpful. Regardless of my many questions they answered them all completely and I went away with much more information than when I came.
Loved it. First visit. Just found out I can go here to get my prescriptions filled for no cost. Happy camper. Did just a little shopping while there. Lines moved quickly, plenty of parking available. I dont know if the prices are all that fantastic. I can get some of the things they sell cheaper using coupons and sales.
They can stitch, sew, tailor and hem anything in the fastest time ever. I have had things finished in minutes before when I was in a bind. Just got a full set of SDBs and had them completely altered in 2 days. You pay for it but sometimes its worth it
Great for military except the time I left an 80 dollar bottle of perfume paid for on the counter and they did not make it right when I called 10 minutes later to hold it for me. Shopped there 3 decades so far in spite weak customer service and obvious morale issues. They do have a decent selection.

Every time I go to this hospital I always encounter helpful people that direct me how to get wherever I need to go and great doctors and dentist that treat me with respect. The place is clean and neat. I recommend this hospital greatly
They got rid of all their up scale clothing lines. For the cheaper brands. You find anywhere and pay a better price. I went there because they had up scale clothing lines. They carried true religion, denim and supply by Ralph Lauren. They had Prada bags. Now they are a low line clothing store just like every other PX.
Very well laid out. Open floor plan. The uniform section is limited but staff was helpful. Low star rating is cause of lack of people when trying to ask for help and no one at the registers. It was like no one was working the floor.
Very nice. Great Staff. Go Na vy
Military exchange stores near Lee always have high quality designer materials as well as some mid-grade options. You never have to worry about products being low-quality at all! And the Bethesda naval Exchange is no exception. Staff is friendly and everything is very bright and clean. It has one of the most welcoming atmospheres of any merchandise store Ive ever been to.
Friendly staff, clean, and reasonable prices. Sushi place is great.
We stopped at the Bethesda Navy Exchange for some personal care products and a snack. The gate guard was a military sailor, and he saluted us with pride. At the Exchange, there was a good selection of personal care products, as well as different snacks. I found the snack I was searching for, and my sister found what she needed.
Hello military families,Another well known & organized dicounted super market.A nice pharmaceutical dept.Food from practically around the world.Clothing for all your normal wear and go.Household appliances and furniture.Lots more to see stop by and joy make sure you have your military credentials in hand...
The NEX has truly grown over the years. Two levels. Ample parking. Opulent brands. On the plus side theres a large package store on the lower level and hybrid/electric parking right in front of the doors.
This market is usually the place to buy my liquor and wine . They seriously have good wine selections and also great prices. Plus the staff tends to help if you need help on anything.
This has to be one of the largest I have seen. Two levels with a two level parking garage. Recently opened with class VI, food court, bank, pharmacy, barber, plaque shop and I believe a vision center. Working price checkers everywhere and pleasant staff.
What a fabulous bowling alley! Ages 3, 6, two 15yr old and all parents had a blast. So sad its closing at the end of July.
Definitely impressed by the variety of selections and of course the service associates are always pleasant on base.
I try to visit anytime Im in the area. Id say they have whatever it is one is looking for. One would be hard-pressed to find lower prices anywhere else. The cashiers are always friendly and quick.
This is one of the best Navy Exchanges that I have ever visited. Recently, on a visit in which we required customer service, we received some of the best. Two stories, neat and easy to shop.
Fantastic prices on almost anything you could want. The liquor section is both plentiful and very inexpensive! I go here for many of my shipping needs.
I love the carts to ride to do my shopping. I dont like thoughtless people who dont urn them off. Also I wish the store were bigger; and I wish we had a big NEW commissary on the campus.
I enjoy shopping at the NEX - shopping mall. Its so many quality products and merchandise to select at a discounted price. Love the scratch offs!
You find that everyone is happy to help and usually with a smile. A very welcoming place.
Very helpful staff. Got my hair cut, ate breakfast, and picked up a few things. Perfect 👌
You need something, this probably has it and more. However, youll need to keep in mind you need an active duty or military dependent ID card to purchase things from here.
Nice Place with lots of convenience inside. Enjoy your visit.
Great over all store but the liquor store on the first floor is amazing. Great scotch and rum selections. Lots of craft and other beer selections as well.
This place has killer clothes. Im always walking in here a hobo and come out a classy, well-dressed gentleman. Great picks for inventory guys 👍🏽
I had an appointment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Afterwards, with time to kill, I happened to find this gem of a department store (Bethesda Navy Exchange) located next to the hospital complex within walking distance! The Exchange is two levels and when you walk in, its like being inside a Macys department store! EVERY department has high-end labels and the day I went, they were featuring a 70% summer clearance sale! I went crazy! There is also a food court there as well as snack foods in the lower level. If you are at the National Military Medical Center, pop in to this excellent exchange. It will DEFINITELY make you feel better! ☺ (Military ID cards required.)
Kerry, Maurice and rest of the crew in the Package Store are always helpful, polite and will take a minute to chat to see how your day is going.
Largest Nex close to us. The ladies that work there have always been very friendly and very kind to not only my husband and I but also to our daughters. Our girls love talking to the workers and the workers are always able to make them smile! It says a lot about a place that is not only kind to paying patrons but also to the younger generation. When my husband purchased a $600 uniform and it was WAY too large, they were even able to take it in and make it fit beyond perfectly. It only took them a few days to have it completed as well. We are from Mechanicsburg but will return to Bethesda for any tailoring or uniform needs.
Ive been going here for 6 years and one thing that really bothers me is there isnt really a clothing section for women age 20-25. Everything looks like youre going to a job interview or on an intense hike. And their Jean selection gets worse every year.
I absolutely love this place. Good on my tummy. Easy on my pockets.
Great selection of suitcases for a very reasonable price, and, of course, the staff was courteous and helpful ... as usual!
Great prices, good service, and decent selection of products.
Nothing but high praises for Dr. Walker, he listens and shows that he is interested and into the conversation, leaving my first visit, I felt like a brand new person. A very knowledgeable professional Doctor.
This place is one of the nicest NEX I have been to. Highly recommend
A lot was a little too expensive for me... but the things I needed, body soap/detergent/toothbrush, had affordable options. The staff is fantastic.
Good food and quality products from vender. Purchased small silver Indian drafted cross for Baptism of a friends daughter from Sky Loom.
Great wine selection at the package store. They have a 10% off deal with the purchase of 12 bottles. We stock up here every few months.
People there very supportive to Military personnel from all branches. Has anyone would need. The prices are not too bad either.
Great place to shop! They have everything with lots of discounts...for military personnel and families of course.
Great for stocking up on household products because its usually 20% less expensive than the same product at a brand name store.
Good exchange. Good size with good selection. Occasionally will have amazing deals, otherwise prices are fair.
