I dont believe Ive ever written a non 5-star review on Google but The UPS Store on Dodge Street wins the award for my first. You can chronically count on having to wait in line here. I am literally waiting in a line of 10 people, stretching down the sidewalk at this very moment. There has to be a better way. Someone please open an alternative location.
I’d pick a different location with a better atmosphere and competent staff. The woman working here has religious sermons being blasted over the speaker. The line is longer than you can imagine because she is enormous and barely able to do her job.
I was in a time crunch and had to ship a passport renewal via USPS priority and this store was the closest option.Nicholas did an outstanding job handling my shipment and making sure I understood my shipping options. It was clear that he cared for the customer. Its been a tough year for everyone and I just wanted to give a shout-out.
The people at this store are clueless. I stood in line for 15 minutes and they took care of only one customer. There were three people behind the counter. They have no idea what they are doing.
I’ve given this store more chances than they deserve. Big guy with a beard is incredibly rude and condescending. I almost became a KAREN but chose not to give him the satisfaction. He needs a job where he doesn’t interact with the public. He also coughs so virulently that his mask moves away from his face. OVERALL RUDE. New girl is nice. Feel sorry for her.
In defense of the big guy with the beard, I was at this store for the first time on January 5 or 6 since my go-to UPS Store in Peabody is closed due to COVID (a hand-written sign on the door; very chilling). This guy was masterful in handling a long line of customers single-handedly. He gave an older woman a free fax and juggled multiple customers at once. People in line were talking about how efficient he was. His kindness even rubbed off: one man was visibly frustrated about having to wait with a pre-paid drop-off package, and the woman behind me said, I can just drop it off for you if youre in a rush. So, sorry guys. Im going to have to go positive on the big guy with the beard.
The big guy with the beard who works here is so rude and unpleasant. He also has messed up the address on one of my packages. Think he maybe needs a career change. Theyre also supposed to close at 7pm and I showed up at 6:45pm to locked doors. Only been here twice but twice was enough. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Was in a tight time window so had to use this place but man, should have read other reviews and ignored. The bearded guy working here has gotten the same guys address wrong four times in a row but keeps insisting the guy read it off. Comically bad employee. I’d laugh if this wasn’t time I’d never get back
I am not coming back. The employee who helped me wore his mask below his nose which is useless. I felt very unsafe. I’ve seen this twice. I had hoped the first was a fluke.
Arrived at 10 am to ship out 10 items to 10 addresses. I was told that I should move to the back of the line since it might take 30 minutes. I had a conference call at 11 so that wouldn’t work on my end but understood this would be totally annoying to everyone behind me, so I asked what time would be better to come back. The 1 guy at the desk said after 1 they have 2 people so it might be better. I leave and check their hours which say they’re open to 7 and I’ve shipped from here before in that 5-7 window so I figure Ill comeback after the work day has wrapped. I come back at 545 and there’s a sign on the door that says they’re closed for the next few days with no explanation. Mostly just frustrated here that the guy at the desk didn’t mention that if he knew they’d have unusual hours this week and the unhelpful sign didn’t help either
Night and day from the previous UPS store I reviewed. Nick, the gentleman who helped me was not only professional and courteous, he went above and beyond to work with me. They even had a little line and got through it quickly and efficiently.
Yesterday, July 30, 2019, at 6:29 PM I dropped off a 1 pound package to the UPS store #1101 located at 39 Dodge Street, Beverly, Massachusetts, MA. 01915-1705. The employee took possession of my package, applied a shipping label and provided me a receipt in under one minute. Today, July 31, 2019 at 12:23 PM I logged into my UPS account and entered my receipts tracking number. Online it states my package did not receive a shipping label until 10:29 PM, however, the UPS location I use closes at 7 P.M. and I witnessed the employee leaving in his vehicle at that time.I’m just curious as to how UPS has two times my package received a shipping label.
I can’t rave enough about this place. The guys working here are so kind and helpful. I never know what to do with these package deliveries.
During COVID social distancing, you cant ask a customer to perform crowd control with other customers that are waiting outside in line, far apart from each other. Store employee tried to shame me into getting people to come inside to wait in a small very stuffy UPS store, which I did not think was a good idea. I also did not want to get into any conflict with customers in case others also felt it was a bad idea. He should have asked the other UPS employee to help in, rather than making me feel unhelpful, because I did not agree with his policy. Stop & Shop, Shaws, or Staples would never do this.
Store always opens late and always slow
Drove out of my way to drop off a Amazon return only to find the store closed and will open from 8-2pm which is useless to someone who gets off work at 5pm. Avoid this branch.. seems to have a habit of closing early.
My fist time here. Friendly, helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable service. I just needed to mail a package, but this place is very convenient in that its very close to work.
As a frequent customer at this UPS Store, I always look forward to helpful, attentive service. Jonathan is in a class by himself for proficiency and conscientiousness.. The shop offers a wide range of different services, - xeroxing, mailing and printing - and I much prefer it to USPS or Staples mainly because of the friendly service..
Tried to come last week for an Amazon return, they were unexpectedly closed (due to Covid I am believing since there was a cleaning truck out front). Came back a few days later, to return and now send anotherPackage and have been waiting for over 12 minutes past the open time. No one here. Sign on the door says the notary service has been suspended but no answer and no signs of any life now almost 15 minutes later. Ridiculous.
Even though Store is open until 7p, you better get there befor 6p if you want your shipment to arrive the Next Day. Some employees are more helpful than others.
I have been going to this ups store for a long time and the service in that time has NEVER been friendly or polite. When I ask simple questions or have a simple task, I am met with either rudeness or complete incompetence veiled under rudeness. From now on, I will be going out of my way to go to a different location because none of the employees here have any idea how to be polite or communicate like an adult rather than a cranky teenager. I suggest you do the same. They always seem like they’d rather be doing anything else than assisting customers, so hey, I am doing them a favor by never coming back.
Ive been here twice to print out emails, and the same person has been behind the counter both times. She either really has no idea how to use the computer, or no interest in helping customers, or both (this seems to be the most likely case given her attitude when asked questions). Today I needed to print out 3 different things, which should have come to about 45 pages total. The last thing was 5 pages. Each time I hit print it asked if I wanted to print 144 pages. I hit NO. She couldnt/wouldnt help me, so I decided to log out without finishing what I needed, and yet it still charged me for 187 sheets, 144 more than I printed. Her response? I cant refund you, I dont know how... Youll have to talk to the manager on Monday.I will definitely not be back
Store refused to ship my cooler. I have shipped hundreds of coolers using UPS but this store said it is against their store policy.
Employees are rude. Save yourself some dignity and just go to a different one.
Girl behind the counter is extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked her for my package and she said it wasnt there, didnt bother offering an explanation. Came back an hour later and the gentlemen found it for me.
Beautiful young lady at the counter with a great smile, fast and easy service.
Someone stole a $300 item I shipped from this store. I am almost certain it was an employee at this store.
We received a box full of wrapped Christmas gifts sent from this store. When we opened the box to remove the gifts, each gift wrapped package was individually wrapped with lots of bubble wrap. I doubt that this was necessary or the contents fragile, but done to be able to charge more. But the worst of it was that the bubble wrap was taped or perhaps even glued to the wrapping paper. This meant that to remove the bubble wrap I had to either tear the gift wrap and expose the contents or leave an unsightly strip of bubble wrap attached to the top of the gift wrapped package. That was bad enough, but a few days later we discovered that half of our packages were mixed in with another shipment to family members in another state. The mailer had them separated when they were taken to the store, with specific instructions, but the store mixed them up.
Poor service today from UPS Dodge Street, Beverly, MA. Unfriendly woman at the counter was the worse Ive ever dealt with in my 46 years. Servicing the public is simply not her thing.
Slow, rude/unfriendly and didn’t even try, and incompetent🤷♀️🤦♀️. Totally beats the purpose of “Amazon easy drop off” when I can’t even just drop off my stuff.
Real ignorant ups drivers in the plaza. One tried to tell and swear at me cause he cut me off real ignorant great business ups......
Horribly rude staff and with terribly outdated operating policies.
Quick service, in and out!
Any place that gives away any thing, is an awsome place
Unfriendly, slow, incompetent, not customer centered. I took my business elsewhere.
Easy transaction
