Early last year, I started to explore cargo vans to convert for bike camping. On the van front, there are three primary options--Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, and Ram ProMaster. Easy enough to compare.I did NOT want, however, to do all of the work myself. In particular, I wanted a pro to handle the infrastructure--sleep platform, second row seating, second row windows, heating, roof vents, and awning.I figured that with VT, NH, and ME in addition to western MA, thered be a number of upfitters from whom to choose. I was mistaken. A fair bit of searching led me to American Automotive Aftermarket.And they hit it out of the park! While my build wasnt necessarily a big job by their standards, I never once got the sense that I wasnt an important customer. From an initial phone call to an in-person meeting to discuss my ideas, they were great. They turned those conversations and a spec I put together into a quote.From there, we pared the build down to meet my budget and focus on the most important elements. The job came in on time and on budget. Ive now been using the built out van for 8 months and couldnt be happier. AAAs work has held up, and some of the areas where they helped me decide turned out great.

I came to them with a 2016 Sprinter van looking forward to working through a conversion. I wasnt thrilled with the significant mark-up for parts or the $90/hr labor rate but thought they would make it up with customer service and quality. Instead, I was left with parts I didnt order ( aftermarket aftermarket parts) and no attention to detail. In the end they fixed the problem but it wasnt worth the days of my lost time.

Ive had several ProMaster vans, probably 20+ actually up-fitted by AAA and theyve been nothing but fantastic to deal with. Cassie is normally me Rep and shes fantastic and very informative, and when I cant get ahold of her James Burns steps in and helps. If you want something done right, for the right price call AAA

The BowTie shop, which shares space with them, is the pre-eminent place for body repairs on fiberglass Corvettes.Joe Scafidi, the owner, works very well with insurance comapnies, who pay for most of such work.The Chevy emblem is a bow tie - get it?I couldnt be more happy with they way they restored my collector Corvette after a big refrigerator truck didnt see me in his side mirror...and veered into me in his right lane.Joe works hard and does meticulous work. He lectures on Corvettes and loves them.
