A wonderful old school hardware store that has everything. Local and family run. Fixed my lawn tractor, and had the hard to find stuff that the big box stores just fail on. Plenty of knowledgeable help. Check it out. A really cool place.

I went in for one 10 ft section of gutter downspout spout. The gentleman found it for me and, for a nominal fee cut it to the length I actually needed. And carried it to my car. Wonderful service, wonderful people, great selection and good prices.

Excellent customer service! I had a screen replaced recently and there was something wrong with the one they replaced which I didn’t realize until I got home so I brought it back and they immediately fixed it for me. I believe the employee’s name was Aaron and he did a great job! I recommend kovarik for screen repairs.

On my way home from work, I stopped in looking fir a sprayer for a garden hose and a few other small outdoor items. Tylor and another associate were friendly and able to help me promptly. I was able to get what I needed and back on the road after a long day. Place is clean and organized.

This is the best example of a family business (90+ years) of value and service with a smile. I came in to have a key made and my mower blade sharpened. No big deal right? I couldnt get either done at the big chains. I came in and a knowlegable man took my blade and lovely young lady my key. Both completeld within 10 minutes at a great price. I have been going there since Joe ran it on Clinton street and when you need something, including knowledgeable advice, they are the place to go.

If you cant find it Kovariks probably has it. The best, most helpful and knowledgeable staff in the county!

In Binghamton this is an old fashion hardware store . People know their products, are eager to help and are extremely friendly. Its like shopping from family.I recommend this store for anything hardware. If they dont have it, you dont need it.

This place offers what is now missing with the Giant chain stores, and idea what that is? You guessed it good customer service which is so rare these days and it is clearly missing and big businesses dont even worry about it because to them it is all about the $$$. Apon entering the employee spoke and asked if there was anything that they can do for you! I got what was needed and they practice all the rules when it comes to the pandemic! Local they are and a little bit more expensive but they acknowledge you when you come into the store! They may not have it all but customer service is PARAMOUNT to me! Good shopping experience!

Im new to the area, but Ive heard high praise of Kovarik. Five different employees offered me help during my visit. Its not huge, like Lowes, but it has a great selection, fair prices and excellent customer service.

Christmas morning returned from a 12 hour shift at the ambulance to find 18 inches of water in the basement. Kavariks opened due to demand for pumps even though their family hadnt opened presents. They did not mark up the pumps. Without them we wouldnt have a drying basement or heat as our furnace filter was wet. You wont see lowes or home depot opening on a holiday.

Workers know you and call you by your name. Very polite, extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of their itinerary. Carry almost everything you will need, especially if your parts maybe old, outdated. They will most likely have an O.E. For your every need. If they dont carry it, they will pick up a phone and call to find it for you. The owner Joe is always there to say hello.The best experience is always a call away.

I am in the process of purchasing a fixer upper in the area, and will need NYS licensed architect/PE prepared documents for the permit submission. Im not trying to break the bank on a PE/architect, and know a contractor in another state that gets his drawings stamped by a professional at his local True Value because he purchases his materials with the store. So, I figured Id call and see if this store had such a professional available, or if they had any recommendations.After explaining my situation, the man that answered the phone asked me to hold so that they could get an owner. I re-explained the above to the woman who returned to the line. She very quickly responded that they did not have anyone like that and good luck trying to find it, and then immediately hung up before I could even respond. Her tone was hurried and dismissive. I can certainly say that after this first customer service experience with the store, I will not be patronizing this establishment when my project commences. Im quite surprised and disappointed, considering that the reviews are overwhelmingly positive with regards to the selection and customer service.

The best Family Owned Hardware Store in the area!!If you cannot find an old obsolete part, or 100 year old part for a radiator at Lowes or Home Depot, rest assure, you will find it here!!Staff is extremely knowledgeable. The old guys there are the best source, with well over 100 years experience between any two of them.Best part is...You may even get home made cookies when you check out.

If youre in need of any plumbing parts dont bother looking elsewhere! Youre seriously wasting your time and gas money. Not only does Kovariks have absolutely everything under the sun that our other retailers dont carry nor do they have a clue about, but they immediately know what youre looking for and talking about! I only gave them 4 stars due to the difficulty in getting around the store. If youre disabled youre stuck to the main floor. Theres no handicapped access to the 2nd floor or the basement (where plumbing is located) Note ☆ there hours online are incorrect. They close at 5pm not 6pm.

Love this store..however I went there today and a worker asked me if I needed help. I told him I did not need help finding anything and he continued to watch me while I shopped for floor cleaner. It was extremely awkward. I still love this store.

This place is great. I always see the same faces. The staff and owners are very helpful and knowledgable. For small home projects I will go here and bypass the big chains. Ive been going here for a few years now since I bought my home in Binghamton. I always leave satisfied. Even when I went in today to get sink drain pipes I was given a homemade chocolate chip cooking when checking out from the woman at the register. Made my morning. Its the little things that count.

There are a few things that separate Kovariks from the big box stores. First, they are very helpful. Whenever Ive entered the store they ask what do you need. Second, the staff is knowledgeable. For example, I brought in some plumbing parts and within 5 minutes I was out the door with what I needed.
