Great place with an excellent selection of beers. I go for the German beer and they always have a good stock. Prices are reasonable and the staff is great. There is also a large selection of beer on tap. Highly recommended!

Knowledgeable associates, great wine selection ( including vegan wine) and the best array of local craft beers on tap I have seen in a long time.Go to Pepper Place on Saturday, get your coffee at Red Cat, buy your veggies at the market, look and buy from craftsmen at pop up tents, then go to Hop City and relax for a beer, or 10.Then slide over to restaurant across parking lot, or go to Automatic seafood on 29th.Its a great day!

YALLLL HAVE GOT TO GO!! Im in town on business for the first time and stopped by to grab a bottle of wine for the hotel. The staff was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. When I told him I planned on drinking the bottle of wine from the bottle he offered an actual wine glass and let me assure you that the cost of that wine glass will be covered by my frequent trips back when Im in town multiple times monthly! Cant wait to get back here to have some beers in person and meet more of the awesome employees!Thank you!!!

While it is the best place to buy beer in town, it could really use some improvement.Ive got some smaller gripes, but a-lot of that can come down to taste. Objectively, the biggest problem here is inventory management. There are beers on the shelf that are a year old, in types of beer where that is wholly inappropriate. I wish the store policy would adjust to either order test quantities before stocking a seemingly limitless supply of the same dated beer, or to simply remove beer that is passed expiration, particularly given that most of it is stored without refrigeration. There is nothing wrong with a shelf that isnt packed to the brim, especially if everything on it is within the best buy date.TLDR Check your dates before you buy, there is a ton of old stock that should be tossed.

Stocked up on Alabama beers to bring to Atlanta and was pointed the direction of various local, fresh releases from staples like Good People to some new breweries in the area. They have a secret stash of beers on tap from what I have found out that you have to ask about. Indoor and outdoor seating available. There participate in an app that allows you to track what beers you have tried as well as see what’s on tap. Highly recommend you stop by grab a brew and take a six pack to go.

Amazing, virtually comprehensive beer selection with a lot of single bottles available for those who prefer to sample widely. They have a bar with a really varied tap list thats run very efficiently by some bartenders who really know their stuff. The store staff is also really knowledgeable and willing to help. They seem to have a lot of wines, but I cant really comment on the selection since Im not a wine guy. Overall, this place is a must if you are a beer fan in Birmingham.

Positives: They have a great beer selection and the staff is usually friendly. 3 of my 4 experiences there were very good.Areas to improve: The tap room closes too early!! When we wating by the register to purchase canned and bottled beer the person did not acknowledge us and allowed a large group of people to cut us in line.

All of the staff is fantastic! If you have any questions be sure to ask the bar tenders in the back they are always so knowledgeable but any of the associates are great to ask questions. You can tell that everyone works well together and the atmosphere is warm and inviting and is great for just hanging out by yourself or with your friends. If you dont know which brewery to visit in the area drop by here they have them all!
