After I dropped my new Motorola phone, I couldnt get the speaker to work, and I really thought I was going to have to buy another one and go through the hours of setting it up again. But I work nearby and saw the Phone Clinic UAB had excellent Google reviews, so decided to give them a call. I took it in, and the technician spent less than three minutes to diagnose AND FIX the problem.I was so grateful and glad not to have to buy another phone. When I asked what I owed him, he insisted it was free, since (from his perspective) it was a very minor issue. Well, for me, it was major issue that would have made my phone nearly unusable. He refused to take any money for helping me out of my bind.I would absolutely take my phone back here with any kind of issue and recommend others do the same. Its likely to be easier and faster, and maybe ultimately cheaper, than dealing with a manufacturer, big box store, or warranty program. Great local business--really treated me like a neighbor. Very highly recommended!

I spent hours at Best Buy and 30 minutes at the Genius Bar. They all gave up on fixing my iPhone 6 (using Apple’s approved troubleshoot and repair process). But Phone Clinic fixed it in less than 15 minutes! Also very affordable. Staff is kind, knowledgeable and fast. I highly recommend them, especially if you have a phone out of warranty.

Phone Clinic in 5 Points is knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. I came in with an issue on my international phone, which was having data issues, and within 5 mins Ziya had identified my issue. Even though he wasnt able to solve my data issue on my SIM, he helped me acquire a compatible SIM for my phone at no charge to make sure I had data access during my visit to Birmingham. I had two phone screens replaced here, an iPhone 7 Plus and an iPhone XS Max. Within a few months both phones had the screen literally falling off the device. I could flip my phone over and the whole top half of the screen would detach. While the service is fairly quick and cheaper than an Apple repair I highly recommend spending a little more getting it done through Apple to be assured of a quality repair.

Amazing customer service at the Phone Clinic UAB. Took my iPad in because the screen was displaying white bars and had a speedy repair on it. However, after noticing that the new touchscreen was unresponsive in the top-left corner, making the messages app unopenable, a few days after getting it fixed, I took the iPad back to the Phone Clinic and they repaired the digitizer on the spot, free of charge! I highly recommenced the Phone Clinic to anyone in need of tablet repair. Super friendly staff who genuinely cares about making sure that they get the job done right.

I love this place.

They replaced my screen and my screen lights up randomly and glitches. my battery that was perfectly fine before now drains at amazing speeds. It used to last all day before the repair. I’m really mad that I used them and didn’t just let Apple fix it for only a little more money.

I took my phone in last week to get repaired. By that evening my phone screen went completely black, and didnt turn back on. I returned the next day to explain that I was just there 24 hours before and my phone didnt work. He verified the purchase and fixed it again. The graphics arent the same. It has been 7 days and my phone keyboard types on its own and continues to shift between apps, makes calls, and taps on things without me touching it. I will not be returning to this location.

This place uses poor quality screens. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Got my iPhone screen replaced a few month ago. Immediately had to ask for a replacement since the screen was sticking out of the phone in the top right corner and flickering like crazy. When I went back they charged be extra and replaced it with and original apple screen. 1 month later the screen stopped working completely and the corner that stuck out and flickers cracked from the pressure without any impact. I went back again and had to argue since they wanted to charge me to replace the defect screen. Eventually they replaced it for free. After a few weeks the new screen started to malfunction, AGAIN. This time the touch input is not working correctly. He further refuses to replace or refund the screen. Avoid this place and go somewhere else, it will safe time and money.

I took a chromebook into UAB Phone Clinic. I asked the owner if he couldtell me why the charger would not go in the charging port. He took the chromebook to the back and came it 5 minutes later and said that he replaced the charging port and I owed him $70. A few days later ( 8 days )later I cannot put the charger in the charging port. I called UAB clinic and a man said answered and said they were closing for the day and I could come in on Monday. I really needed to use the computer so I took it to another repair shop and told them that I just had the charging port replaced and I couldnt figure out what was wrong. UAB Phone Clinic had not repaired the charging port. The original port was still in the computer.Evidently the man at UAB just straightened out the pins and charged me for a new charging port. Be very careful in UAB Phone Clinic. I wish I would have read through the reviews. I noticed that there were 5 stars but didnt take the time to read through them. I have talked to several people that have had bad experiences with this place but didnt take the time todo a review.

Phone screen was supposed to be replaced and was not. Worker was rude each time I had to go back because he continuously failed to fix the problem. He eventually admitted to not actually replacing the screen, and did not refund. Absolutely not worth wasting your money or your time here.

Fast and professional service

Be careful, they are not using original Apple screens although you pay premium, $159, for exactly that. The screen is flickering, freezing up constantly, iOS does not enable true tone and it sticks out of the phone case. After a month, the screen broke without external impact. I assume due to being not in place correctly, but might also have been a manufacturer’s issue. They replaced it free of charge... but then 2 weeks later the touch input started to malfunction and triggering random input. We wanted a refund but owner is refusing to help at all. Stay away from this store at all cost!

The service was impeccable! The staff replaced my IPhone battery within minutes. There was no scheduling an appointment online and then waiting, like the Apple Store. I walked in and they repaired my phone in minutes.

I came in with a iPhone X that wouldn’t charge. Staff made sure it was the charging port that was damaged and didn’t just need to be cleaned. I left the phone overnight and it was repaired to perfection by the time promised the next day. Highly recommend.

Moto fixed same day

They told me $280 on the phone to fix my screen. After they took 2 hours to replace it, they charged me $350. The screen doesnt work as well as my broken screen did and they lied about needing other repairs done. Said I had to have something replaced for an additional $100 or the phone wouldnt work, but when they realized they didnt have the part, told me to just come back later for it. I left feeling hustled and overcharged.

The staff was rude, suggesting that iPhone screen was fine when it clearly was not. They also refused to admit their fault in improperly replacing the iPhone screen (which I suspect was not a truly an iPhone screen).

Quick service, done well, reasonably priced, the gentleman was very professional, and he let me know about some issues with my phone.This was the second time I had to get my screen repaired...the first place probably caused some of the issues (parts inside my phone were missing) and they certainly didnt let me know about anything and in addition they were overpriced!Bottom line, this is the best place in Birmingham to have your phone repaired!
