This place is making great changes all around. Employees are friendly and welcoming. The restrooms are clean and the showers are the cleanest I have seen. Wendys is always open. Security is top notch. All and all its a safe place to stop at to get some rest on a long drive or to just get something to eat. I recommend checking it out. Seems like they have new management who cares.

Had enough with Pilots! If you stop at this or any other Pilot, be sure and bring your own food because the restaurants are never open. I’m not sure who yourMain customers are, but trucking is 24/7.Love’s is by far a superior choice, unfortunately my company doesn’t use them.

In my travels I stop at the Bankhead highway Piolet often. I have spent a large amount of money at this particular store. A few days ago I stopped in as usual for coffee and a snack as I was headed out of Birmingham. I needed to check a few urgent emails before I started back on the road, so I had been sitting in my vehicle for around 15 or 20 minutes. I had just opened my door to step out of my vehicle to go in and get coffee. The security guard approached me at my vehicle and asked if I was going in, I told him yes I am. He then told me I needed to hurry up and get what I wanted and leave. I told him I come here often and spend a lot of money here, but I will just go somewhere else from now on. I am very disappointed in the way this employee made me feel. Im sure somewhere else will be happy to take my money. I will not go back to this store

Only 2 stalls for 18 wheelers were working for gas. Womens Restrooms were nasty...mens only had 1 urinal working. POOR POOR LOCATION!!!!!

Ok place for truckers to sleep, only a few parking spots and some are tight. Shower are great though, they have wendys, deisel price is good and staff is willing to help.

This pilot is not clean at all. We had to stop as one of my child needed restroom break and GPS showed this to be the closest one. Staff here (pilot + Wendys) lacked professionalism (borderline rude). Would not recommend even for a rest room break. Just hold your natures call a few minutes more and go somewhere else.

Oh my God. Ive only been parked here a half an hour and someone is already pounding on my door asking for money. There is a young security guard inside. I guess hes too busy talking to the pretty girls that work here. I have been to this Pilot Travel Center for fuel several times in the last couple of months. The staff have always been friendly polite and helpful. Too bad this seems to be a rough part of town. Worse that people are hurting bad enough to pound on tired truck drivers doors for a few dollars. I am always conflicted has to if their stories are true or not. I hear of panhandlers making six figures a year.

Had a beautiful time wouldnt change a damn thing

Upon arrival last night 6-22-2020 we were greeted with a very unfriendly employee when we went to make our purchase after we had asked her for an extra set of towels for the shower. Then this morning 6-23-2020 as I was cleaning out the trash from the truck, I was greeted once again by a security guard and a member of management wanting to know my business there and if I had a truck in the parking lot. It probably wouldnt had hit me so bad had this been something that I was use to, but when they saw me get out of the truck, walk to the trash can and then head back to the same truck and then want to stop me. As I explained to the corporate lady that I spoke to, had I been a male there wouldnt have been any questions, so upon that happening I went into the store to find my boyfriend to tell him what happened, he then approached the security guard and questioned him about the situation, he assured my boyfriend that he was just making sure I was suppose to be on the lot, once again I think it has to do with me gender. Not cool Pilot! We stay at Pilot and Flying J s nightly and have never in countered this problem.

Knocked on my door at 6 in the morning by a security guard telling me this location doesnt allow overnight parking for RVs. I have never seen anything like this and now I understand why all the websites are telling RVers to start using Loves.

Great place to stop and do your break and grab a shower I had a knock on the door and thought it was someone begging etc... It was a security guard asking if I had a lock for my trailer and even put it on for me . All n all great experience as usual from pilot and flying j .

Shout out to the night crew. Only my real truckers know. Always clean, always stocked up and never a wait on showers.

My husband and I did our 34 here and it was so awesome! It’s a safe secure environment with nice staff! There’s numerous restaurants and shopping malls nearby! I will definitely suggest it for fellow truckers!

Long wait lines at the service counter, the staff are more worried about conversing with their friends and being on the phone than servicing their customers.

Great management and the employees are so sweet & friendly! It’s a smaller pilot, but you feel safe staying overnight with the security guard driving around the parking lot.

Upon entering a woman yells from behind the counter...YOU NEED A MASK...from a woman wearing hers as a grin guard...and cop that hangs out here also in the store not wearing a mask...??? Why do customers need mask if employees dont??? For the restroom cleanliness, that was non existent. Toilets and counter and floor was nasty.

The lady with all the tattoos red hair she was sweet and kind best customer service so far at a pilot she deserves a raise!

They harass you the second you step foot into the store if you dont wear a mask. When you ask them to show you scientific data that supports these mask policies they stare at you like, well you know lol. Awful

I just stopped in this place and had my 1st Ammendment right totally violated. They have armed security that literally chased me into the bathroom as I was going in to relieve myself and was told that I MUST WEAR A MASK TO UTILIZE THE latrine. I do not participate in the coronavirus nonsense or fear mongering. I keep my distance from people regularly. Had they not chased me into the latrine I would not had come within 6 feet of a human being.

Knocks on my door at 00:15 and 0230 from crack heads begging. Everyone working here and security all from here and protect these drug addicts and not the drivers so beware. Wendy’s employees were beyond ghetto. Even west Baltimore wasn’t as ignorant as this. I’d avoid this place if at all possible, thank god no company tells me where too fuel at so I won’t be back hell or high water.

Get ready to be asked for money. And Im not talking about lot lizards. Its the employees and guards who ask you for loans ect.

Great coffee. Excellent showers. Real good staff. Oh and good mens toilet even though they looked hard used, at least 3 of the 4 are clean.

3/29/19. 6:45pm. Stopped to get something much needed to eat. Upon entering Wendys there were 5 African American Women Employees behind front counter. None of the the employees acknowledged my presence nor did they great me or asked to take my order. I am a African American Male. I have never seen more unprofessional attitudes in an establishment before. I nor my family or friends will ever patronize any Wendys store again.

The customer service & security are all so amazing on all shifts! I did my 34 hour reset here and they treated me like family! The showers are awesome! Thank you all Birmingham!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

I didnt have a place to park other then in bobtail with my van so the security gave me permission to park there. Nice and understand people especially the guard. 👍🏼

Hwy 78 is a major corridor in and out of Birmingham.So, I hope the operators of that establishment would consider it a huge opportunity to be located there and tidy up the Wendys restaurant and all else.

One of the cleanest bathrooms Ive been in at a Pilot for awhile. The crew is very nice and make you feel welcome very time you walk in the door. They actually make eye contact while they talk to you which is nice now a days!! Its Thurs morning and there is a long dark hair lady sorry I didnt get her name working at this moment and she is busy checking all coffees and making sure everything is full and going and cleaning as she goes. Very sweet lady if I cld Ive give her 10 stars which she deserves all of them I wld!! This is a Pilot I will be stopping at again in my travels for sure!!!! GREAT JOB!!!

7 years ago I posted this.Nasty, nasty, nasty. Might be the nastiest pilot in the world.Today was the first time I have stopped here in 7 years. What an improvement. Restrooms are well maintained, store and restaurant are clean and well stocked. Parking lot is clean and nicely paved. Security is on the ball. Its 9pm on a Thur, still a few parking spots.Great job Birmingham!!

My mom gets her propane from this place on a regular. The Manager is a nice guy But that other guy ( DONT know his name ) but he is a older man and he does the propane. He has a very bad attitude and he will disrespect a older woman if she doesn’t have someone there with her. Big Facts. Had to get him in his place TWICE! Wish there was another place closer where she could get propane because this guy gives Flying J a bad name

The staff or nice people, and the restaurant food was delicious. But I was gonna park for 10 hours but I couldnt because people kept knocking on the door asking for money, and I dont do lot lizards either this truck stop needs a security guard outside walking the parking lot too. I want be backed unsafe to park here. So I rolled 15 minutes to another spot. 😠😠😠😠

Someone did a poor job at cleaning showers. Hair was all on the toilet seat. Inside the toilet was not clean. There is trash in the shower, like they clean it with tissue. Wendys, however, had not only great people who work there, but fresh food and decent area to dine in.

Stop being to get a cup of coffee had about 15 different carpets to choose from I appreciate the fact that they had hazelnut said another cream Irish cream and variety of artists restaurants very decent employees pretty nice attitude enjoyed my stay really enjoyed my coffee you traveling down 5920 Harrell opportunity stuff off on off of Adelphia take a right go down you find pilot on your left good place to take a break fill up with gas eat you got to win this day also so hope you enjoy the visit like I did

This is a truck stop/travel center that offers free parking to truckers. It has a scale and fueling station for them as well. For everyday customers/travelers there is plenty of food and travel items inside. Attached is a Wendys and the customer service is excellent along with the fresh hot food. The wait is brief considering everything is freshly made. Gas pump area is clean and stocked with window cleaner, a squeegee, and paper towels.The store also offers bags if ice, propane tank exchanges, and air for flat tires. Another plus is the 24 hour parking lot security which is very comforting to have especially at night.Compared to most Pilot Truck Stops this lot was small so truckers should prepare to arrive early to get a spot.*Entrance becomes a little difficult with all the construction work going on nearby.*

I stayed there 1month ago. had the best experience. The staff was very nice and courteous. The bathroom and showers were very nice and clean. Security was walking around all night. Wendys food was fresh and tasty. The lot was clean. It was a guy by the name of Jimmy who is a regular there did ask for money. His presence helped a lot because of him being up. I stayed there for 24hrs and I will stay again...... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK .

The store is clean and staff very nice and helpful. And most importantly the lot has two security guards 24 hours. And they need them, even with their presence people bother you for money and other things during the night. (If they see you up). I do not plan on staying here again. Its a shame bc the manager is very nice and hard working. He is doing everything possible to have a nice truck stop as is the staff.

Really have nothing nice to say other than it is a very clean establishment. The employees are rather rude, including the security guard. The guard was extremely rude to my 11 year old son all because he was in the truckers lounge. I was under the impression that it was a travel center (as advertised) and that all first could rest and/or rejuvenate in the lounge. Not according to the guard Not located in the best of locations.

Stopped here for my 10 hour break and a shower. I redeemed my shower through the pilot app and went inside. As I am in the shower the attendant proceeds to knock on the door and ask did I actually purchase this shower or what. As a truck driver that supports pilot/flying j truckstops a lot I think this action was very rude,unprofessional and very discourteous

Best place to get gas hands down. Always like 10 cents cheaper than anywhere else. And that makes me happy. Ill go out my way a little just to get there gas.

2 stars because they have security that is on top of stuff here and actually patrol the lot. Shower was not so clean. Coffee area was not clean at all and was scarce for cream and sugar. Wouldnt recommend this for a place to stop.

I hardly come here as much really no line at the diesel pumps. I feel the truck up. Then I parked came inside and got a shower no lines or anything.Then I got a fast bite to eat Wendys then I left

Its ok.. clean showers .. Wendys is pretty good. Watch out for stragglers in the parking lot. They come and ask for whatever, so take notice that your getting sized up.. theyre checking you out. Security is on duty at night so thats a plus. Not a bad place just be cautious.

Make sure you sign up for their loyalty card. 3 cents off per gallon adds up. The coffee is good. It is an average of about a 10 minute stop on the way to work.

Stay Away! NOT SAFE! Dangerous man walking though the truck stop parking lot. Security says he will brake into your truck.. Do not park hear over night.

I love going inside this Pilot Travel Center Everytime I travel to Mississippi. They have wonderful people that works there and I love how they ask you about your day. GREAT experience here!

They are not all alike. You WILL see similarity, BUT there is/are somethings new and different in every store. I Promise.

This private location is a community mainstay. They treat everyone kindly and with respect. It is one of the best stops 4 gas and convenience products.

The main reason I love this place is the little Crystal case with all the little figurines and Jewelry in it. They have the coolest stuff thats where I go anytime I need a gift for anybody I find something.

I tried to return a faulty cooler and Mgr got on phone with Idk who on a labor day just to refuse me 2x. I buy diesel at many P/FJs food movies etc. If you sell a product Stand behind it. Its a bad joke ppl or companies try to refuse you your own money over a bad product. Not to mention the food I had to throw out over a bad product

Stuck here while training with a truck company and the guards here think they are rambos I get that this is a poor run down hood truck stop but making drivers feel like crimes for being here is bull. If you have a choice id skip this truck stop. But they do have good showers

Brought honeybun, and Reese cup. Both was expired, didnt realize it. Until open and noticed the appearance. Looked on back, both had expiation date of April 2018. To spend 4.27 on old product, when I never may stop by this location (because Im a truck driver) is ridiculous

The Pilot is a typical Pilot, okay, nothing special. That said, avoid the Wendys here unless you have no other choice. WTH? Seriously, is it possible that it was the first night working for every single person there? Because thats damn sure the impression I got. It took almost 30 minutes to get a burger, no exaggeration. Really, it was unbelievable.

I stopped in here... glad to see a pilot was running low on fuel, 4 wheeler side of things they were acting all crazy and in a hurry, mngr was calm cool and collected very courteous with them, i think he was glad to be talking to a trucker after that...store looked clean but could tell it has seen its days.. well stocked... had a barney running around thinking he was billy bad ass but at least he was there... i would stop again... it will say i stopped in today but was more like 6/22/16

I cannot think of one the reasons why pilot would put on $151 block on credit card fuel purchases I could understand if it was a big rig diesel but a 4 wheel car feeling gasoline the biggest block at I could see feasible would be $50 or less

The worst Pilot we have been to. We drive semi and stop at many Flying J and Pilots and this had to be the worst we have been to. The bathrooms men and womens was nasty. The customer service was not friendly at all the cashier natched my money out of my hand before I finished counting it. We are not happy with this Pilot and will not stop here again on our way through Alabama.

Cashier is a lazy irresponsible person. Unprofessional...she had her shirt up showing her pink undershirt...talking crazy to me because i wanted to purchase 2 pf the same items. I guess she was mad because I didnt buy them at the same time. I didnt react in a negative manner but she called for another associate to sell the product to me because she refused to get up and get what i wanted... I do not recommend anyone to shop there. Period!!!

Nice RV island, but the pumps need maintenance. #17 pumps EXTREMELY slow. I ended up pulling over to one of the auto pumps. Bathrooms were clean.

Im a truck driver parked here for the night.... people inside are nice...and the security guard is good too, while I was walking my dog he was patrolling the lot looking in between the row of trucks to make sure no bad stuff was going on.

A good place to stop for travelers and other customers to get something to eat, drink, take a shower, or to rest.

Waiting area is phenomenal, couches and cushioned chairs. Watched an Alabama game here once and it was ecstatic!
