They dont allow you pass the door. I actually wanted to look around and shop that way but they meet you at the counter and ask what you need.

I have been a customer since they 1st opened. However, just yesterday following assistance from staff, I purchased the unscented Crystal deodorant stick. I have been dry and odor free all-day-long, and today was my run around day, I Love Bama Health Foods.

I just want to say that this place is such a blessing. This group of women that work there are very knowledgeable, caring, and just plain helpful. They will call you when certain products come in that you’re interested in and will hold it until you come pick it up. I pray that God increases their business so they can spread all over Birmingham. The staff (Lauren & Opal) were VERY helpful & knowledgeable about the concerns I had regarding detox suggestions, controlling my A1C levels, acne issues for my son and herbs that would help a friend of mine sleep at night. I sampled a few healthy . snacks, made a few purchases, and was given several handouts as well as a couple vitamin samples as well. The staff at this location was AWESOME...I will be back!!!!

My hubby and I were treated with excellent customer service at Health Foods West. This was my second time visiting this store. I was with a family member the first time and didnt have much interaction with the employees. Todays visit was for something to aid in digestion. We were educated on three products and also received written information to take home. We enjoyed todays visit and definitely will be back. The supplement purchased was priced very reasonable. Keep up the awesome work guys!!!

The herb selection here is amazing!! A true treasure to find out here. The folks working here were very helpful to me and my family. They were even understanding when my youngling was fussing about his balloon not being bouncy anymore (it popped before we walked in). I love the book selection too; and theres healthy snacks and cold drinks. Thats a dangerous thing as they may get tired of me coming in so much, maybe not they seem laid back, love the relaxing vibe here too. Thanks yall

This was my first and last time visiting the store. The lady answering the phone wasted my time and gas AND she was completely unprofessional.I called and asked about an herb and the lady said they had it. I drove to the store and she tells me and the employee assisting me that it was on the wall. We look and dont see it. The lady walked over and looked but she couldnt find it either. After I expressed frustration the lady lied and said that during our phone conversation she didnt say that she definitely had the herb.Other stores, like Golden Temple, actually take the time to check for an item when a customer calls. I was hoping to be able to patronize a store on my side of town but not with this poor service. Hopefully this lady, she was short with curly dirty-blonde hair, doesnt own the store and maybe management can provide her more training or replace her (Really wish Id asked her name but oh well). Either way, beware.
