I adore this place! Its literally one of my fave places. Anytime I can be surrounded by books its a super day. They offer so many categories of books but also carry just about anything that has to do with writing, arts n crafts, games, entertainment etc etc. Plus you can get a tasty coffee from Starbucks as you browse.

Helpful staff and nice atmosphere. Although the prices are a little high thats typical and I like being able to physically browse. As far as the cafe goes they only have 3-4 syrups (the lady listed a mocha as a syrup) and I am still not convinced that Starbucks is a real coffee shop. You are paying for brand and not taste!! Go to Coffee Break or the one in the library! Both great coffee shops, especially compared to the sham that is Starbucks!

We love Barnes and Noble! Always a great selection of books, always clean and organized. Associates are always helpful when you need help finding something.

Didnt have much or anything in the book depts I was looking for, and also didnt have a new book I was looking for. Also no Lovepop 3d cards, but a different brand. Independent bookstores are better.

I really like this B&N. It is always very clean and I enjoy the smell of fresh coffee as I shop for my books or whatever treasure I am hunting for. The staff is always super friendly and helpful here. Probably from the coffee and treats. Definitely a great store to shop in and bring kids into also .

Very nice place tons of neat items and books. Staff was friendly. And 1 lady was sweet but pushy about buying a book she even went and picked one out and gave to my granddaughter (age 3 she thougt the book was hers now) I had to tell her no that it cost to much and I didnt have enough to pay for it. I told the lady we were not buying just looking, and she still got the book and handed it to my granddaughter. I felt that was wrong of her to do and it was rude. My granddaughter felt bad but quickly recovered. She is a smart little girl and is happily distracted with non material things and we played a eye spy game as we left the store.

This is the best place to look for Books or anything my Granddaughters needs for school.

I looked for a while, but then asked for help. I was shown the section where the 2 books by Malcolm Gladwell were located, and then I got their membership card. Went very smoothly - and Im impressed.

Always got good help here when you are looking for something you need. Even willing to refer to another book store if you are looking for it on hand, target than ordering on line.

The place was great. Got the book my daughter wanted and the collectibles I wanted. My only complaint is that the checkout crashers where chatting to much with customers I had one person in front of me and it took over 20 minutes to get threw

Been coming to this book store since my college days. Great selection and helpful people. Most importantly, the cafe is basically a Starbucks that has good food/pastries and there are actually places to sit. So basically all the good things about Starbucks and none of the bad. Highly recommend this place if you need a book in Bismarck or just have a project you need to sit down and work on with a latte or three.

Very kind and helpful employees. They were able to find a book I was struggling to find, and had another obscure book I didnt think they would have. And when they rang me out; they told me about a promotion that I didnt know about, and that saved me some money.

Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Able to read and see if I like. I often end up purchasing:) Plus theres coffee!!! :D and food.

One of my favorite places to shop! I love the cosy feel of the space and I like the way the books are sorted. They have a great selection and the staff are very helpful. The little cafe is also a convenient spot to work on something or just hang out.

This is an excellent location! My stepson needed a mathematics workbook and the staff here was very helpful with suggestions, assitance, and advice to aid my choice. The staff recognized how excited my son was to help and gave us a free cookie coupon for Starbucks. They made a killer coffee and a great cookie for my son, too!

They have a vast collection of books and magazines. The prices for some of their knickknacks and other misc. items is a little bit higher than you would expect but thats not too terribly surprising considering its primarily a book store. I would recommend going here before ordering a book online and support your local businesses.

Since life is about good books and good coffee, why not combine the two. Combine that with the fact that they are open until 9 pm and also have good internet, makes this Barnes and Noble one of my favs when I need to get some work done on a project.

Great book store. Would be 5 stars, but I burnt my hand on the exit door. The door gets hot from the sun and needs a handle to separate your hand from the hot surfaceThis occurred at 6:15 PM in early August.

Try fixing your hours of operation it’s not fun driving hours to find out that their information on the World Wide Web is incorrect. Are we not in the information age of data? Eat one!and you know what I’m talking about.

No sure what it is about this place, but its a sanctuary for book lovers. I rarely buy stuff outside of the bargain areas but I could browse for hours. Also, my daughter goes straight for the trains and will have us over there the whole time if we would let her.

I like this place. Its like a comfy pillow. You can come alone and just hang a read with many types of coffee. Or can come with friends, and have a great time. It has many tables to do homework. Its just a great place to hang out at.

I practically live here, to be honest. Its a great little bookstore (and really the main bookstore in the area) with a decent selection of books. There seems to be a lot of childrens toys for some reason, but thats part of the company trying to venture into gift items. The cafe is often quite busy and is a congregating point for many different groups.

A good selection of books, magazines, childrens bks and gifts, plus Starbucks with tables to study and socialize.

Decent selection of books but the staff was very unhelpful. I ended up buying the books I was looking for on Amazon while standing in the store.I did this after I had one employee casually point in the general direction the book I was looking for was and a second employee walked in the other direction when I made eye contact.

Large choice of books both in store and online. Courteous staff, willing to help find a novel you might not know about. Great variety of kids books, was able to find a collection of stories for our kids quickly and easily.

It needs more stuff! Has to be among the smallest B&Ns around. Good quality, great staff, just not much to look at, unfortunately.

Great selection of books, also they have toys, childrens books stuffed animals wide variety of games and figurines and models. Lots of gift ideas for any occasion. Love that there is a Starbucks inside as well.

The store is clean and chock full of stuff to look at. However, Barnes & Nobles overall price-match policy is that they do not price match, not even with their own website, because the website and the stores are two separate retail entities. This means that you could buy a book in-store and have to pay more than purchasing it from them online. Whats more, you could possibly get it from a competitor for a fraction of the price. So here is a place where you can physically scout out stuff youre going to get online and maybe grab a coffee from the Starbucks cafe while you look for good deals in the clearance and bargain shelves.

Nice childrens area. The worker here seemed to pick and choose who they wanted to assist. I had to spend time looking for some books. Worker was not around when needed.

Great place for book lovers. Knowledgeable staff. Even has a small cafe thats good to relax in. The bathroom always seems to have an odd smell and seems kind of grungy, out of place in an otherwise clean place. Years ago I almost had a bookshelf tip over onto me, that was fun.

The store has a nice overall presentation to it. The selection of books is vast and unique. (I was able to find my favorite Japanese surrealist author,Haruki Murakami) when I was there it was very quiet which encouraged me to browse through the selection of books more.The staff is a little hard to work with however, as many of the people I asked for help were quick with their answers and no so eager to help.

I absolutely love hanging out at this branch of B&N. Whether its to browse, buy a book, or a cup of coffee, this is my to go place when Im in the mood to chill.
