I was promptly greeted when I went in to the main part of the store, but when I went in to the gun section, I was completely ignored by not one but three young men who were in there. Not only did they not greet me in any way, shape or form, but they not even acknowledge my existence in the room. They went on talking to each other like I wasnt even there. I may be a woman, but that does not mean I did not go in looking to buy. I personally own firearms and have a concealed carry. It was one of the most insulting things Ive experienced in a place of business.In retrospect, I wish I had said something to them, but after 10 minutes of looking, it would not have been nice. I just left.
Went on a mission today to find shoes in Blacksburg. I knew the store offered hiking shoes so I stopped by. They may be phasing out their shoe sales because almost all of their shoes were on clearance. The selection was very small. The associates didn’t offer to help me and when I had questions they had no answers and didn’t even try to find an answer. There were at least three women working, the woman I asked could have asked them.I’d rate this portion of the store 3/5.The sports (gun/fishing) portion of the store is a solid 5/5The cashier was knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to answer all the questions I had. The prices were reasonable and there are pre-owned items if you want lower prices. They have some beautiful colored guns if that’s your thing.
No selection since they moved to Blacksburg. The layout, merchandising and selection while they were in Radford was excellent. The Blacksburg location is messy, and has little to no western wear, ( boots, hats). Great concept with poor execution.
I was just on they store. Three women were at the front register. Not one of them said hello. Not one of them asked id they could help me. They had cider going, but yet no one offered any. Wow..
The manager is just incredible! No ... not the cheapest but definitely the best VALUE!Beautiful store, plenty of items to choose from and nicely merchandised.I love this store.

I went looking for some fishing gear and was greatly disappointed. One or two tiny shelves is all they had. They do have a decent amount of firearms though. This is more of a clothing and trinket store.
Me and my husband shop here often. We love going through the door and being greeted by the staff. We like going in and seeing new outdoor items for our yard or deck. They also honour military.
I love anything to do with wildlife and horses, so my heart was right at home there. ITS AWESOME THERE.
Awesome firearm selection and blue label. Good amount of clothing and random Knick knacks. Plenty of hunting supplies. 4/5 because they need to up their fishing supplies game

Outstanding customer service and an extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. The archery staff is phenomenal and does great bow work. I highly recommend using MHO if you need work done on your bow. I will definitely be a return customer and would recommend MHO to others.
Very nice home furnishings sadly though the service was lacking in the firearms area, did buy a very cool hokie pillow and frosted glasses

Nice outdoor store, hope it stays open in the town of Blacksburg so people have options - theres not many places to actually shop in this town for real working people.
New location is nice and compact but the old space was larger...thus their offering has downsized to merely clothing; no more hunting and fishing gear.

First i have purchased 3 guns from them in the Blacksburg store and 2 others in Radford,Always nice and cool to deal with, since the store change they have some new guys in the firearms department that are rude, the women manager has been pretty rude herself, they act like they are doing you a faver! Never thank you, or any nice remarks. I would have given them no stars if it was a option! For guns go to Atlis or white tail!!

Expensive, but one of the few local places that sell AR parts. Their stuff is consistently overpriced, but its always, always the best quality. If you need it today go to Matt Hagan. If you can wait order it online.
