I was treated with absolute respect and genuine concern. I was offered a loaner car with out me asking, my truck was repaired quickly and I was shown the problem immediately. A little bit out of the way, if you live in the city, but worth the trip for savings and quick turnaround. Best rates Ive seen around town, and if the job took less time than estimated, the bill reflected it. They dont seem to markup parts, either. Theyre great, and especially good at Japanese imports (Toyota, Lexus, etc.).

Great towing service!My insurance set up a tow when mt car wouldnt start. The driver first tried to fix my car by re-connecting some broken wires. It didnt work, but I appreciate the extra effort. I then got a quick tow to my mechanic.

Let me start off by saying the physical service provided by this place has been excellent. Ive had two cars towed by Alex and he did a great job and was competent and knowledgeable, as well as nice to deal with.The one star knock off is really just a mild lack of communication about a tow from the manager (?) that I talked to and texted, I found out later that I didnt have to worry about the vehicles time table but I was unaware during the process so the lack of information why the car wasnt picked up when it was supposed to was mildly irksome.However, now that I know more I would totally recommend this place and will use them in the future.

Good mechanic and really good price and knows how to work on any cars

I was referred to Family Auto Care & Transmission from a friend of mine a year ago. I needed new tires and brakes and they did a great job and it was reasonable in price. I have continued bringing my car to them for regular oil changes. I highly recommend Family Auto Care for your automotive maintenance and repairs. Broke down in Blaine on a hockey trip, wheel bearings. Called my mechanic at home to ask about pricing and he said they were on target with him and Im kind of stuck at thier mercy so I have to say these guys are good. If they arent going to mess with someone from out of town on pricing then I would trust them. Brought it in right before they closed on Saturday and Ben said we can get it fixed for you tonight no problem.Thanks guys I appreciate it.

Great customer service and even better prices! I had taken my car to a Toyota dealership for diagnostics and they quoted me almost $1,000 to replace the rotors, brake pads, and calipers. A friend suggested Family Auto Care and Binh was able to replace all of the parts in the same day for HALF the price. I recommend this shop to anyone and everyone! I will definitely be back for any future car trouble.

They were hired for roadside assistance towing by my insurance company. The tow truck driver did everything he could to get my car running before towing it, including getting someone out to help him. He informed me of the problem and what to ask of from my mechanic. I couldnt ask for more from this establishment. The treatment I received was exceptional! I highly recommend family auto Care!

Bihn has worked on my Subaru, my dads Acura, my girlfriends Honda civic and accord. He never gives you the run around, hes respectful to me as a woman (which is really hard to find), and he never tells you to make superfluous repairs. His prices are great and the work is high quality. Ill be a life-long customer.

BEN WHO UNPROFESSIONALLY AND RUDELY ANSWERED THE PHONE REFUSED TO CONTACT HIS DRIVER TO ASK THE SIMPLE QUESTION IF MY SON RODE WITH HIM OR NOT TO THE DROP OFF LOCATION...HE HUNG UP ON ME AND BLOCKED MY#.VERY POOR SERVICE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE IN NEED BECAUSE THEYRE NOT FOR THE COMMUNITY!!!!

Family Auto Care was contracted by Progressive to tow my car to a repair shop by my house. I got a text message saying that they could not locate my car even though it was parked on the street at a meter. Called and was told that the driver would call me back. No call. Called the office multiple times and got no answer (granted it was after hours, but so was my initial call). Drove my wife’s car back to where my car was and it was still there. Had to call Progressive back to get a different tow company to come out after 4 hours. What a cluster f***...

Only thing I have against this shop is poor communication. He doesnt tell you what needs to be done on the car and just goes ahead do it and charges you for it. An explanation first would be nice. Also promises to get it done at such a time, but could be days later before it is done.

Family auto care is the most unprofessional and unethical Automotive shop in the Twin Cities. They are clueless when it comes to import Vehicles doing sub par work. I have brought my vehicle to Family Auto care multiple times and they keep telling me there Is nothing wrong with my vehicle. I would not recommend ANYBODY taking their vehicle their for Service or repairs if you want the work done to be right. Their technicians are not ASE certified and dont have any idea on how to work on cars. Family Auto care would not re-fund my money after the work was not done properly. I had to go to the dealership to have a Professional Certified Technicians tell me that the work done to my vehicle was not done properly. The Technician at the dealership look at me and asked me who did the work to your car? was it your dog?! Seriously I have been around the automotive industry my whole life and had never ran into a automotive shop so unprofessional and doesnt stand by their work. Family Auto care does not treat people like family. You Should always question the service being preformed or a service we recommend. They are not happy to walk you through the process or show you part needing replacement. horrible experience and I would NEVER walk foot into their dirty shop.

Great prices and excellent service. I had my harmonic balancer replaced in a shop in Wayzata last year but the part failed in less than 8 months.I took my car to Family Auto and their quote was about half what BP Wayzata charged me for replacing the same part!

Worst place to go to have your car worked on they try to diagnose the problem with out looking at it and dont know what is really wrong with it...there overpriced ppl every mechanic shop n dealership get their parts at a discount and 60$ labor time is good but make sure you stay there and watch to make sure half the time their charging you isnt time sitting around bsin like i just watched them do both times i was there and a family place.....i think not with condom wrappers on the ground inside their gates so not very family oriented

Worse experience with this company they were suppose to tow my car they never called or showed up and when I called some guy put the blame on someone else instead of taking responsibility of his own business.

A large red tow truck aggressively sped on our little 30 mph road in Ham Lake this morning. (Both E Lake Netta Drive and 171st) Rude and disrespectful of the people living in our neighborhood. Why would you want to do business with someone who cares so little about our community?
