Great local mechanic, with very good customer service. When a neighbor mentioned my light might be out, I went there and they checked it out. They checked my oil (I mentioned I was going on a trip, but was due for a change), and removed the dead leaves under the hood (and noted that they typically clean that out during the oil change and why its good to remove that stuff). Then sent me on my way. No up-charges, treats everyone with respect, really knowledgeable, and informative. Nice to know places like this still exist!

My new go-to shop. Ive needed a few repairs this year on my older Civic. Exhaust system, belts, thermostat. Jim found my muffler was still under warranty, which saved me $$. The belts Id heard squeal but forgotten about.Id been driving around with a phantom noise that never showed itself on road tests. Jim was kind enough to go for another. This time he heard it, diagnosed it & fixed it. Did the trick.Little to no wait at the shop, they keep appointments, fair pricing, accurate diagnoses & your car is done when promised.

My familys go to for auto repair/maintenance for late model and 20+ yr. old cars and trucks. Excellent work, timely, and responsive.

Had the dreaded check engine light go off in my car, had to take it to them twice. The first time there, they cleared the light and it didnt return even after a road test. They did not charge me the first time since all they did was clear the alert and perform a road test. After picking up the car about 5 miles later, the CEL returned. After the second time, they told me I needed timing and solenoid work done to a tune of $2,500, JQ charged me $110 for the diagnostics. Since there were other issues, I would estimate the total cost to fix the car to be more than the car itself. JQ did not pressure me into any work, and based on the other issues agreed that maybe the best course of action would be to purchase a replacement vehicle. Would recommend them as an honest and straightforward mechanic.

Friendly mechanics who have displayed accurate diagnostics of car issues, and fair prices for their effective solutions. The gentleman who I was in contact with, Jim, is personable and responsive.

3 stars for a clean shop. Found another shop in the area that was able to work on my station wagon for me right away and did it for almost 50% less, no appointments made and this other shop owner knew this job was not only important, but was not a major job that would take 2 full hours.

I cant say enough good things about Jim and the guys. Always honest, helpful and make sure to run everything by you. We had a major issue with a dealership and Jim was able to solve and fix the problem. Only mechanic well go to as long as we live in New Jersey

When we lived in the area, Jim Sr. & Jim Jr. took care of all my familys cars for many, many years. My father purchased my first car from Jim Sr. (a 94 Pontiac Grand Prix) and he loyally stood behind it while teenage me drove it into dust.There is no auto shop for many miles around that will provide you with more honest, high-quality, and dependable vehicle service than J.Q. They are probably the first mechanics that we truly trusted. Kudos gents, you really do a damn fantastic job and set quite a high bar for other shops to aspire to.

I have been a regular customer for several years, for repairs and maintenance. I am very happy with their work. Theyre pleasant to deal with, and good about explaining their diagnosis and repair recommendations, and discussing options as much or as little as one likes. They do operate on an appointment basis, and are very good about being done on time and for the price estimated. They pay attention to details. On the extremely rare occasion that something does not go quite right - faulty part, say - they are great about fixing it, no fuss. Last, I do some of my own repairs and maintenance, and they are perfectly fine with that.

Posting for a friend. Horrible place. Took almost 3 weeks to fix my friends car and it still doesn’t work so her husband brought it back. Why? I dont know they claim it will be another 3 weeks to fix. They don’t offer a loaner car or a rental, so she has to go with out a car for almost 2 months? That’s ridiculous. I recommend another Automotive repair shop in town that’s 10x better than this place.

Ive been going here for about 4 years now. Jimmy and his son are excellent mechanics and they are honest and do a good job. I have 3 cars that I bring for repairs. Recommend.

Excellent service. Honest, trustworthy mechanic who I highly recommend. Just one example is when they stayed open late one Saturday to make sure my car was ready by Monday morning. Ive used them for every car I ever owned from a 1988 Dodge Aires to a 2003 Nissan Altima.

Hard to trust auto mechanics but JQ changed that notion. Highly recommend.
