Amaris was very knowledgeable. Her professionalism was impeccable. She was very accommodating to my needs. I would recommend this Storage facility to my family and friends.

Then 2 young beautiful womens were courteous, friendly and took every step in explaining and showing me the details I needed to know . Moving in was easy especially with access to loading bays and elevators. The unit is more spacious than what I had in Istorage would recommend to others .

This is my first experience renting a storage unit anywhere. I called before my visit and the process was explained to me. I came in the same day and a rental office staff member assisted me. I had specific requirements for my unit and I was shown a great match. Access instructions were clearly explained to me and I was done in 30 minutes. Im so happy it worked out because I live very close by! I recommend Compass Self Storage on Locust Ave.

This is the only place that I use for storage. Jessie has always been a great source of assistance. They provide you a month or two free which is always a help when you are indecisive on whether you want or need the storage. This place has 24 hour access, a port for you to drive in for loading and unloading, as well as a loading dock for if you have a truck. Overall this place and it’s staff get 2 thumbs up from me.

Rented a unit online, paid for it, and five days later still have not heard from this company. Very unhappy that Ive been charged for a unit that I dont have access to.

They not an updated facility yet their prices keep going up. If your more than a month late they send you a notice stating theyll put your items up for auction. Even if you pay they still charge you a 115 auction process fee regardless.

The storage space is OK, however, be aware they have a fee increase policy every 6 months, that is not in line with the cost of living.

I needed to move out early on a Saturday morning so I used their website to schedule a Friday 6pm pickup time. Only to show up and see that they close at 6pm?! The doors were locked by 5:58pm.I called the number and was told no other nearby locations were opened. Luckily I found a u-haul but what an inconvenience!

Inquired about rental Units today went with my aunt and mom, we enthusiastically entered the rental office masks on; a young lady greeted us but her greets and ours were drowned out by the woman down from her shouting, “Are you all together?” Still excited I responded “yes!” She sharply stated that only one of you can be in here, my aunt who was the reason we were there, along with my mom immediately marched out and waited out side but before we even interacted with the beautiful young lady who greeted us initially my aunt was done. The pleasant young lady still showed us the unit, told of the rate, gave us her card and we left. Won’t be going back there ever and that was our first time and the closest to us! I only gave 2 stars cause of that young lady who; had she been left to speak to me and ask kindly would have had my aunt’s business!!

Dark, spooky and they up their prices almost every 3 months. The lady at the counter has an aggressive tone in her voice. Her energy was too masculine for me.

This is a constant problem. Have to walk from the street multiple times with items on hand because rental and mover trucks are in the way of the driveway. Multiple complaints. This is ridiculous already.

Very easy set up. I reserved a unit online and went into the location a few hours after to view. Stephanie was very helpful and patient. Explained all the pricing and cancellation process. I will definitely be recommending this storage facility to others!

The place is in a good side block location. The process to get a storage unit was easy. The prices are a little costly.

Convenient location, nice staff and good facility, except for in the last year the loading dock has become jammed up with rental trucks, making it hard to access. HOWEVER, a 49% increase in the rental rate in less than 3 1/2 years is ridiculous. We are in a period of low inflation and this is just price gouging!This is how often my unit rent went up: after 7 months, then after 8 months, then after 11 months, then after 7 months and the last one was again after 7 months.

Its conveniently located along side the Garden State Parkway and off main roads so you dont have to worry about traffic or parking. Its a typical storage unit with an affordable price and the option to pay online or in person. Flooring is a bit run-down but the units are sturdy and secure. Halls may be a bit confusing to navigate. Its like a scene from the shining with the motion sensor lights going on and off as you pass. They provide carts for larger items and theres about 3 drive in loading areas.The staff is very nice to assist you, however if its a payment issue and you dont have proof (banking receipt/confirmation no.) they are at a loss with how to fix the problem. Overall, I would still choose this place for convenience and affordability.

I give them ZERO Stars!! The only great thing about this storage facility is the customer service representatives in the front office. They are professional and always willing to help. Also the young man that would take some items off your hand. The inside facility is covered with MICE!! I had two storage units and each unit had several MICE in them. I had to throw away alot of things because of it!! This was a really Bad experience for me not to mention I had just buried my mother and used this facility to store her things after a fire. I would not recommend anyone to use this storage facility.

Rented here back in November while we were between houses, and recently moved out. The new ownership is a HUGE improvement over the old ownership. They put in much friendlier and more competent staffing, and seem to have put a lot of money into fixing the place up including a brand new elevator and lots of additional lighting. Barely recognized the place when we came to move out our things! Thank you Compass for making this place 100% better!

PLEASE USE ANOTHER STORAGE FACILITY! I would NEVER recommend this storage facility! Ive used others that were much better and didnt over charge the way this place does. Once you are 32 days late they charge you $115 auction fee, so there is no paying two months at once if you get behind. They schedule auctions EVERY month. They also increase their rates every 6 months! *They have leaks and you will always find dead mice around and droppings in your unit. I emptied out my unit two weeks before the new month started and because I left a mattress behind that didnt fit in the truck, I will now have a new collection account on my credit report because they charge the months rent, auction fee aside from the additional fees instead of just charging a small fee for something left behind. I dont live in the state anymore and when Penske messed up my rental and gave me a smaller truck I had to make the decision to leave the mattress. This company doesnt work with the customers, they look for every way possible to make the most money off hard working people.

Me and my husband had a very hectic move. There was a lot going on in our lives around the same time we were moving. We had to switch our unit more than once to adjust to our situation and Victor at Compass Self-Storage was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. His patient assistance was a great help. Also the price is great!

After a desultory experience with another local storage company, we were skeptical about the prospects of finding one with clean facilities; reasonable hours for accessibility; & affordable. We were (& continue to be delighted with our great find of the Locust St. Compass Self Storage in Bloomfield, NJ. The manager, Julie, is gracious, super-accommodating, & thoroughly professional in the execution of her duties. We have up-sized twice in less than 3 months, & the transitions have been seamless, & financially beneficial for our needs - thanks, in large part, to Julie. The units are well-maintained; easily accessible within a very secure complex. Large carts are provided; Theres also a U-Haul Rental agency on premises for convenience. We are extremely satisfied with our choice of this location. Its HIGHLY recommended. S. Lukas

Clean areas, friendly staff and great deals on wide selection of storage!

I do not recommend at all, my unit is on the third floor and I went there and my couch and other things that I have are destroyed with mice piss and droppings. That is just the items i see in the front. Now I have to take a day off work to go through my items or just probably throw everything away, I emailed the company several times, I called and no got back to me about my situation but I did get a call to see if I wanted to rent a unit unbelievable. I just don’t understand why there are no bait stations and every six months it goes up I started at $142 now I’m paying $200 and its always new management.. please spare me with the liesMy unit did not get any bigger nor smaller.To those who have a unit or planning on getting one, get a bait station and traps for your unit and check regularly..

New owners are great. I came back after four years to move my stuff out and the building looks better, the elevator is completely new and the staff was super pleasant to deal with.

We just signed up and transferred from Xtra Storage - the Compass facility is Superior to the high priced Xtra. From meeting the manager Joan Finnegan to a tour of the facility we are impressed. Climate control, easy access for unloading, full access 10 X 10 access - Extra has door which provided limited access.Compass good jobBob & Nancy

Really bad, if I had the time I would push for the $50 guarantee, we ordered a Utility dolly hand truck on line to pick up at this location so that we can move into a new apartment and then when my husband got there he was told they had absolutely no hand trucks. I will be reporting this to Uhaul, what a major inconvenience.

Rude, pushy, and not very helpful. all about the money...would not recommend. Would rather pay a little more to avoid such unfriendliness.

Pretty quick to get a van, and staff was nice. Only issue was that the van smelled like farm animals had been inside.

VERY MISLEADING -- I called to schedule a move out date and was told that if you pay for the full month in advance and dont use the whole month your rent will be prorated but when I went to move out a week after my rent was due I was told that I would not receive any money back.
