A clerk named Melissa was very friendly and helpful with our many requests (super knowledgeable). I purchased 2 pairs of nice shoes and will likely return for a camping backpack. The store was clean and it was well stocked. Although I was not able to find any propane stoves the store was still great. This is the place you should go for you outdoor needs.

Well, so much for a real American quality and trustworthiness for LL Bean. I never leave reviews but when a company, its profiting on the false advertisement they do, well that draws the line. They turned an American iconic brand into a Chinese sweatshop clothing.Long story short spend $80 for a pair of gloves that ripped after 4 months of use. Im saying hiking, winter camping, just regular outdoor activities. Well, you would expect that the companys 1 year 100% satisfaction guarantee would honor their word and take back their merchandise for defects and cheap materials . But beware, just because the gloves were stained from paint that my kids play with, and Im talking like few dots, the manager who apparently its the ultimate judge, jury and the God of returns, has the right to just say that they cannot return the gloves. I mean what has specs of paint to do with cheap use of materials that you usually find in cheap $10 gloves.Customer service only takes the verdict of the store manager. The highest power in the whole LL bean massive corporation. I spend my time with them, probably worth lot more than the gloves just because I expect that companies like LL. Bean to still have some standards and when you shop there it doesnt make you feel like you bought something from an unverified seller on Amazon.Its a matter of principle, and sadly there are less and less companies who abide by it. Take your hard earned money and spend them at REI. Youll find way more knowledgeable staff better brands and merchandise, and a company that has standards and its a CO-OP. You dont need to deal with a corporation who honestly couldnt care less about their customers.Also, I would advise you to read the trust pilot reviews. Its clearly that outsourcing an American brand to cheap and unregulated labor in China has its toll on the quality of their clothing.

Very helpful and friendly front end cashier. I received an article of the wrong size. Never having been to this store, didnt know where to look. She said shed handle it while I shopped for boots. The lone shoe salesperson was a bit overwhelmed with 3 shoppers. While I was waiting for my boots, the nice cashier brought me the correct exchange - with no effort from me. Great service. I didnt want to go to the Mall of America store due to all the assaults being reported in Minneapolis and surrounding areas, including MOA, so I ordered online. Love their products but returned a sweater due to the itchy wool and a smaller size nightgown. The product was received on 11-14-2020 and they didnt process my refund until last Friday. Then they told me it will take another week until I actually see it applied. Why does it take 4 to 6 weeks to process a return??

A friendly, fast and efficient majority. I had my second stop there for a pair of boots. The associate in footwear was very forward and did not want to hear everything without interrupting and finishing my words incorrectly several times. I will continue to shop there but will do my best to avoid that associate. As a customer I would like to be heard and understood. He was quite forward with another customer as well.

I enjoyed visiting this store. It is appealing and laid out nicely, has excellent products, and seems pretty popular. Id say that this store has improved my opinion of the L.L. Bean brand. One thing I thought was particularly forward thinking was a large calendar they keep at the South entrance. It shows various events related to their business. It made me think about what events I have in my life related to my health and activity. Nice!

Walked into the LLBean in mall of America because the store was almost completely empty, looking for a nice utility jacket. Walked around for 10 minutes looking for said jacket, before I mentioned “no one wants to help me” to my wife as a manager walked right past me. And didn’t even glance in my direction. I then proceeded to walk out without even a single employee acknowledging me or my wife.I would not recommend going to LLBean. Stick with Amazon, Carhartt, dickies, or any other cheap Chinese made products that are just as comparable to llbean products. At least they will treat you like a person trying to help their business.

A good store to buy high quality winter items.

My husband bought a pullover sweater. It was listed at $60 and he got 25% off. The clerk told him how well made their merchandise is so he was confident he would like it. After one gentle washing, the lining sagged and hung down past the hem across the front. It looked embarrassing. Within 2 weeks from purchase, he went back to the store to exchange it for a non defective one. They told him they couldnt find him in the system and rudely refused. He wasnt asking for his money back, only for a new one. He wore it one time. A week later customer service called him and defended their refusal to exchange it. He threw the piece of junk in the trash. He will shop exclusively at Duluth trading company, they are excellent!!

Ive only purchased from LL Bean on-line until today. Went to the MOA store and was beyond impressed. The store is huge, well laid out, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I will actually drive there just to go to this LL Bean store. Added bonus, there is an entrance to the store from the east lot so one doesnt have to go through the mall to go to the store. Will definitely be back!

They were so snotty that I kept on walking through the store and right out the door! No wonder no one was in there shopping. If they treat everybody the way they treated me within 10 seconds, they will be out of business like alot of these stores. Contrary to what they believe, there are other stores that sell just as nice stuff that people can and will go to!

I came in looking for coats and clothes that were on sale. I had great customer service in both departments. When I couldnt make up my mind on a coat the lady working sold me on it. I also loved their sales. They had 20% off everything in store including items already marked down. We also used the raise app to save more.

Friendly staff who helped us find a good winter coat. Coats on the priceyside but the high-quality makes it justified. In our case we bought the wrong size and they made it very easy to return for smaller size.

This store is descent. They have a pretty good representation of their catalog. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They know a lot about what they offer, and they know where to get other sizes or other styles if you desire. Their clothing is fairly high-quality. If something breaks or rips you can bring them back. They are very good about returns or exchanges. The store is clean. The only downside is that it is a real pain to get into the store. You have to park in the ramp, and walk half a mile through the mall.

Very friendly atmosphere and prices are decent compared to something like R.E.I. I would consider coming back here for my camping needs

**Update at end**I will commend this location for exceptional service. I called, received first-rate service over the phone, and it continued when I arrived at the store to pick up my product. The store is very clean and well-lit, and easy to shop.I did have one negative experience however. While browsing for a new raincoat, I found their top of the line Goretex rain jacket. While looking at them, I noticed every, single jacket had the anti-theft tag pinned thru the jacket seam by the wrist. Goretex is a waterproof membrane, and all sewn seams are taped to make the garment completely waterproof. This tag placement compromised the integrity of the waterproof membrane. Perhaps the average person running to and from their car in the rain will not notice an issue. But I spend many days outside in all conditions, and a compromised membrane would greatly impact my comfort. So if you are spending top dollar for a Gore-Tex jacket, double check before purchasing.**Update** I returned to the store today to shop and look at new items. I am still very interested in their Gore-Tex jacket, but a quick glance showed that they continue to pin the security tag thru the sleeve seam, which ruins the integrity of the waterproof membrane. I cannot pay $400 for a damaged jacket. It appeared this is standard on all waterproof jackets. Buyer beware.

Im editing this out of fairness to the store itself. The store is great. The issue I had was with the online customer service over an issue concerning deliver time for an item for which I paid an extra $15 for express shipping. I mistakenly thought my review was being posted for the company, not the store at the Mall of America (which, again, is a really great store).

Ive only experienced great customer service while shopping at LL Bean at the Mall of America. My online experience has been great as well. I love their products and the comfort of knowing that they are guaranteed. You definitely get what you pay for. I bought a purse years ago that has really held up, elk hide slippers for my husband who loves them, as well as boots, gloves, and clothes. Satisfied with all of my purchases so far!

I have been a faithful customer for 20 years. Today I waited for 15 minutes to buy boots and ultimately had to walk out of the Mall of America store as it was impossible to received even a micron of assistance. It was not a busy day.
